Madamoiselle and her Puppies

That's it... September is done and dusted and that means only ONE thing... Tonight is October Eve, tomorrow is the official start of the spooky season and whilst I might not be able to do much about Halloween in RL, I m going to live it up as MUCH as possible in Second Life. Like every year, I plan on diving into the costume box, and aiming to try to complete a new look for every day of the month... Normal clothes will be taking a backseat, starting tomorrow it's time to get monstrous... 

So for probably the last time that I'll be looking human and normal for a while I'm just making sure I get myself through all of the chores that I have to do before I start playing dress up... 
One of those last ones, as the sun is setting and the last thing I have to do is take the dogs out like the Madamoiselle I am - thanks to a pose from Fashiowl. We've wandered our way to the West Post garage - a backdrop from Paleto - on the outskirts of town, and since we've wandered a little bit too far, we're waiting for the cavalry to come and pick us up to take us home... It's beginning to get cold out though, and whilst my feet are nice and snuggled up in my Maren Boots - from CULT - I feel lucky that I pulled on my old reliable jacket over the top of my super cute Adee Dress - from miss chelsea - it helps to keep the chill off...

Nightmares in the Garden of Dreams

IT'S COMINGGGGG... This weekend sees the start of October.... Sunday is October 1st and therefore the Halloween month officially starts, welcoming in a month of monsters, scares and lots of Halloween fun... As with every year, I plan on playing dress up as much as I can, normal day-to-day clothes will be stashed at the back of the wardrobe so the costumes can take over... 
I'm waiting patiently, but I'm opening the door very soon to welcome the Nightmares in from the garden, and let the monsters play in the light... 

The nightmares have gathered in the Garden of Dreams, replacing the pretty, happy day dreams with those of the dark and twisted... Dreamcatchers that flutter on the breeze - and have in fact ALL been made by the amazing Krescendo - have been replaced by the Nightmare Catchers, bones and spider threads hung to welcome your nightmares in... 
The keeper of the Monsterous Dreams, waits eagerly... Collecting all of those deliciously dark scares, feeding off the scares of the sleeping... She's a Cryptid better known as a Maw and you can definitely spot her a long way off as her huge teeth glimmer in the dark. She's dressed in the suitable attire of her status, a HUGE dreamcatcher - a gorgeous set from FOREST FANTASY STORE - as a halo and deadly nightshades all over her skin...

Melon in the Pool

In our neighbourhood there has been a lot of change lately, they are rebuilding some of the houses and have moved people in short term so that there is no squatter action in the empty houses, but that has brought with it random problems... When it all started I was stuck in bed after an operation last year I found myself becoming a little bit of a nosey neighbour. I'd NEVER imagined myself watching the neighbourhood to see what was going on, but it's like it's own little soap opera out there sometimes, complete with a busybody crazy man and the breakdown of relationships where kids become the ones caught in the middle... 
I'm constantly watching to see what the new people are upto... Who is moving into my neighbourhood?

All of the residents in Brittany Oaks - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - have been paying attention to the newest arrivals in their slice of homely heaven. The new arrivals are a little lower class than the rest of this upmarket neighbourhood... She sits in her Pickup that's been converted into a pool - thanks to Krescendo - with her yappie little puppies having a pool party and chows down on Watermelon from a tupperwear box - part of a set of Picnic Basket items from Junk Food - which she wears all over her face - thanks to a set from kotte - like lipstick. Pick of the Patch

There is a definite change in the season now, things are getting a little more Autumnal and there's a soft chill in the air as the skies get darker earlier and the weather takes a drastic turn... There is a definite shift towards the most wonderful time of the year  AND the most wonderful holiday. I cannot wait until Halloween. I've been doing a few odd jobs here and there to get myself ready for the spooky season... 
One of the most important tasks at this time of year, especially for the magical folks of the world, is making sure that while the colours turn, the pumpkins grow big enough to carve... 

One of my favourite places every season tends to be the land of Moochie, at this time of year it becomes a garden of All Hallows... It's always worth a visit and it makes for a pretty backdrop to take pictures or go for a walk. 
The fairy folk tend to use it as a place to relax while painting the seasons in it's different colours... We all know that I LOVE to hunt down the fae folk and the one I found in the pumpkin patch today is definitely one of the more strikin fae in the woods. Her colours are totally Autumnal, her face decorated with the wings of a Fae Queen - from Clover - whilst her Spectral Butterfly Wings - from Quills & Curiosities - show her dark aura and connection to the upcoming dark holiday!

The Sparkle of Angelic Demons

Weekends should feel like magic... Instead today has been nothing but arguements at my house in RL. I'm left feeling even more exhausted. I love my hubby but sometimes he's just too much and I want nothing more than to run away back to my true home in the UK...
At times like this I find myself reverting back into my own fantasy world and letting the pretty, sparkly, magical wonderfulness take over to hide my real feelings... It's a good indicator for me, if I'm feeling low things will be magical, if I'm happy and feeling full of energy, pictures will be darker and more dead looking... 

This time I'm magical, I'm ethereal and I'm trying to let my bad feelings flicker to the darker, back parts of my mind... This ethereal being part angel, part demon is someone that has been seen making use of the magical libraries within the Engine Room...

Questions Asked at School!

It's been a long day at work today, but I get home and I'm curled up clean fed and happy seated in front a murder mystery show on the television, when I decided that I needed to share some things and get some feelings on things from others... 
It's not been too bad today, as busy work days go, but I've been pondering things about my life and I'm curious if I'm the only one... 

On the internet, a person can be whoever they want to be... It's easy enough to be dressed in the weird and wonderful, to live life like a bunny or even create a brand new you. Yet since I've been in SL it always seems like no matter how hard you try, you can only hide your true colours for so long... I often wonder if there is anyone in SL that actually knows anyone. I can count on one hand the number of people that have atually met the real me, and I'm not talking about face to face either, I'm talking that they know my personality inside and out... "Do you really think you know me?" Do you really think you know anyone you meet in a place like Second Life?

Lights on at the Engine Room

It's definitely feeling a lot more like Autumn in my part of the world, which is really bringing me HUGE amounts of happiness... It's a time to start snuggling up, cozying in and turning the lights on early... 
When discussing the turning on of the lights though, it has come to the attention of MANY of Second Life's weird and wonderful residents that the lights have been turned on within the Engine Room, and the doors are now officially open once more... The lights are on, everyone is welcome and we're all going to have fun when we're inside... 

There are so many nooks and crannies within the halls of the Engine Room, but for our first visit today we're heading downstairs to the Bunker Basement - a backdrop from K&S - where the electricity boxes are, and where if we're lucky we might get to meet one of Second Life's shyest residents... She's a creation that was spawned by the great Frankenstein and his collaboration with a certain scientist by the name of Edison, marked with a tattoo on her rust tainted skin - a skin and tattoo from Fallen Gods Inc, available until October 20th at Engine Room - Edison gave her a part of his greatest invention. She wears a Bulb Bouquet - made by CABALPIER also at Engine Room - on her back, to lighten even the darkest corners of her Second Life...

Dino Nugget Fantasy

I got home from work, later than usual since buses and customers have been a pain in the buttocks, and I was tired, sore and starving... I needed something quick, easy and a little bit delicious, I rifled through the fridge to try and find something that I could make for a meal that would essentially be "dinner" and struck it lucky... Dinosaur-ishly lucky...

Of course, as I was sat on the sofa slowly chowing down on the cutest of dinosaurs I felt sleepy and as per usual my mind wandered off into a world of crazy bonkerishness... I sat looking at my dinner plate, a green plate decorated with the most delicious Dino Nuggies - like the ones from Junk Food which come in a set that are in a box, with tater tots and ketchup packets and to make it easier to see you can check out what the set really looks like here - and I ended up dreaming about being a nuggety cave woman armed with a french fry to defend herself against her Dino Nugget foes...

Checking the Autumn Manual

As Autumn seems to have taken root more over the weekend, I am finding myself getting more into the cycle of reading a good book and snuggling up under a blanket in the evening, I've put off the idea of lighting candles and snuggling into the darkness... 
There's something so pretty about the change of the season, and even in SL there are so many pretty changes afoot... Must be strange for anyone that's not heading into the same seasons that the Northern Hemisphere is heading for, but there's just something so magical about this time of year, even without the Halloween magic... 

The forest folk are busy preparing the forests, so that the colour changes and greets people with that warm sense of happiness and Autumn Colours... All of the fae folk have been given a new manual on the changing of the reason and each of them is expected to read it cover to cover... 
We caught a little mushroom fae, decorated in a Mushy Hat - from Fayette at 13th Street until September 25th - and Toadstool Mushroom Skirt, but whilst she's been busy reading, it seems like some of those adorable baby deer have been messing around in her mushrooms...

Demons Waiting in the Dark

Things are getting more and more Autumnal, and with that comes the most wonderful time of the year - yes I know that people say that about Christmas - but we all know that it is infact Halloween, right?! I LOVE letting the spooky out, I love when the darkness takes over me and the magic happens and I'll admit it, that's exactly what has happened today... 
There is a demon out there, waiting to be ushered in with the Halloween magic, but until that time she's going to just watch and wait from the highest tower where the dark magic floats on the breeze... 

There is a dark, yet magical place. No where near heaven but high enough that a demonness could watch and wait for the moment when the gap between the human world and the Halloween nightmares are closer and easier to skip across... 
This demoness is of the pretty type. Not made for damage of the physical kind, but definitely of the twisted mental kind. She's twisted, dressed in a slinky black Bajor Dress - from Normandy - for the seduction of her targets, yet her face is scarred by Ember - a wound collection for the face from Samia. She's watching, waiting and observing... Held back from doing anything until her Deviltrap Collar - from Oblivis, at the Engine Room which opens on September 20th -  pops it's lock and she can escape to the human world...

Saturday Night at the Movies

I've had a very busy few days, but thanks to the fact that the Marathon ends at the end of my street and therefore has our road blocked off so I'm 'stuck' at home for three days, and that means I've got time to relax and have some fun... 
I've had a lovely day prepping some stuff for Halloween and making sure that I have some pictures ready to play with, and now I'm thinking it would be the prefect time to curl up and watch a movie... 

I've always had a craving to go to an old-school style, drive-in movie theater - like the backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - but they don't seem all that common here... I've seen old school cinemas but nothing like a drive-in, and I'll be frankly honest, the thought of going out, even to the movies makes me feel worn out hehe... I'm better off watching movies at home in my jammies, cuddling my cat with a HUGE mug of tea...

Random Friends

Randomness can be fun sometimes, and I really feel that random is definitely something that fits with me and my blogging style. I love being dark and grungy, I love being pretty and fairytalish, but I think what ties it all together and something that makes me most happy is when things are totally random... 
Random, colourful, sparkly and cute, all things that put a smile on my face, especially when making some new friends along the way... 

I've been feeling a little dozey all day. It's still hot here, but cooling off and thank goodness for that... I AM SO HAPPY about it... Kitsune on the Moon

Like a lot of places in Europe, the Netherlands has been extremely hot this week and it looks like it could be here a little while longer. It's holiding back that Autumn feeling and letting the summer stick around at least a week took long, and I'm done with this weathers frankly... 
There are signs however, that Autumn and Winter are heading on in, days seem to be rapidly getting shorter and I love the darkness in the evenings. One plus to it being so hot at the moment is that the skies are still pretty clear, and it gives a perfect opportunity to see the skies lit with stars... 

You know me by now, you should know how much I love magic, how much I love the stars and how magical things can feel... I'd put together an amazing look that I was in love with, and that had a little magic since I'd found an outfit with a little Kitsunishness... I LOVE this AsteroidBox Eline Bodysuit, and for some reason I just couldn't stop thinking about how cute it was when I paired it with Stoic's Kitsune Parts... 
From then on I decided that I wanted to sit on the moon with a Kitsune or two - thanks to the adorable pets from JIAN - and sprinkle the stars to light up the skies...

The Second Best Way To Relax!

I've had a long day of studying and tomorrow until Sunday I'm heading off on a three day working at the shop kinda blogging time out... I have had a busy day and my mind is spinning with all of the new information that I received... This evening, I had to find something to do that was a bit of a stress relief, I found the perfect break time activity, and then I found another perfect way to relax once the relaxation was done... 

The relaxing part was more than a little naughty, but sometimes, that is one of the most relaxing things a girl can do... I love to get myself all pretty, though sometimes when you spend too long waiting for someone to turn up and help, you have to take matters into your own hands... 
I mean it always helps if you have a willing participant, failing that a bear in a strapon can work too, but once all of that is done, there's a good book on the bedside table and a coffee can be brought in by room service at the Northern Cliff House Hotel - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - so there is plenty to keep you occupied whilst you relax...

Halloween Magic Starts in September

I've been on a bit of a magical kick lately, and I'm actually really enjoying things... The magical side of things always make me smile, especially when things are able to get pretty, and since it's ALMOST Halloween I have to warn you now that the dark magic will slowly be taking over, step by step, day by day... 
I'm going to let there be a little bit of Witchy Magic today, September is Halloween Eve anyway right?!

Tears so you Forget-Me-Not...

Today has been a bit of a sad day... It was the funeral of my mum's oldest friend's mother. She was a lady of epic proportions, never having had granddaughters she adopted me and my little sister, and even though she reached the grand old age of 96, she always had a spring in her step, never complained about anything and was constantly heard singing her favourite song about rocking all over the world... On other news, I heard something about another friends mother that was less happy and a lot more worrying... After all of the people I know getting ill lately, this was the one that pushed me over the edge and tears were shed for everyone... 
Feeling a little melancholy, and rather blue, I knew what needed to be done, I let the fantasy take over and became the fairy of the Forget Me Not... 

For some reason, the Forget Me Not Fairy is often found wandering around in the Graveyard - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - carrying a bunch of her namesake flowers as she weeps for those forgotten souls in the dark. Her tears mingling with her magic to join the constellations in the sky - since they are Constella tears from KitCat - reminding everyone to Forget-Me-Not...

Battery Running Low...

I have to admit something, and some of you may think it's silly but it's something that I really need to say... I have been a LOT quieter than I have for a long time and spent far too long in RL due to the craziness of August. My boss was away on vacation, my work bestie has been gone due to her discovery of breast cancer and subsequent medical stuff, and to be frank, I've been so busy because of these things I'm pretty much worn thin, exhausted, needing a recharge... 

Have you ever had that feeling when you're overly tired, that you find it hard to fall asleep? I'm at the point where doing anything besides staring at my phone and scrolling through the facebook feed - because I'm not cool enough for TikTok - though I cannot wait until bedtime... 
I'm doing my best - thanks to a tattoo from Adora-tions - and even though I've had to start wearing a warning sign, or a sign that I'm running on a low battery - thanks to e.marie - and with my brand new Mr Wormy support plushie - from #SADGIRL - that I found in the weekend sale it's time to curl up and catch up some zzz's...
