Plans for the Engine Room

There are so many things to enjoy about this time of year that it's almost enough for me to forget my RL illness issues and focus on things that are much more fun... Shopping events in SL are getting exciting, we have grunge events, halloween goodies are coming and the Engine Room will be opening the doors to welcome in those seeking their steampunkish answers...

Opening of the Engine Room always brings in many interesting people, those people gather together to discuss the newest innoventions and Steampunkish creations, and once the event has gathered all of those peope together, Magic will happen... 
Rudh has been prepping for the opening of the Engine Room for a while, practising her science speak, laying out plans and discussing them with her collection of Cats - like the gorgeous kitties from JIAN - all the while trying to look like a Steampunkish science type...

The Second Best Way To Relax!

I've had a long day of studying and tomorrow until Sunday I'm heading off on a three day working at the shop kinda blogging time out... I have had a busy day and my mind is spinning with all of the new information that I received... This evening, I had to find something to do that was a bit of a stress relief, I found the perfect break time activity, and then I found another perfect way to relax once the relaxation was done... 

The relaxing part was more than a little naughty, but sometimes, that is one of the most relaxing things a girl can do... I love to get myself all pretty, though sometimes when you spend too long waiting for someone to turn up and help, you have to take matters into your own hands... 
I mean it always helps if you have a willing participant, failing that a bear in a strapon can work too, but once all of that is done, there's a good book on the bedside table and a coffee can be brought in by room service at the Northern Cliff House Hotel - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - so there is plenty to keep you occupied whilst you relax...

The Mayor of these Heavenly Halls

I have a mind full of magic and a head full of crazy right now, after a long day of work and a lot of crazy tourists I find myself lazing on the couch and letting my mind drift off to far away, magical places... 
I wander through the abandoned halls of my mind, darting in and out of the sunbeams that drift in through the huge windows. In this space, in the here and now, I am the mayor of these halls... I am in control, and I am making sure I am living my best life... 

The halls of my mind are a Sanctuary Heaven - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - and in here I can be ANYTHING that I want to be. Sometimes I'm a fairy, sometimes I'm a demon, other times I'm something in between... Today I'm the mayoress of a steampunk wonderland, the glow of the Fantastical Nebulous Aether - which is actually a gorgeous new release from Cole's Corner at the Engine Room until April 20th -  sparkles from her Mayor's Headpiece - a Butanik83 release - and on the wings of her Tinkertoy Fireflies - from Quills & Curiosities, also at the Engine Room.
She is Power - as the tattoo on her collarbone states from the adorable store that is Adora-tions - and she is magical, as her copper faceplate glints in the sparkling lights - called Anton by The White Crow - in these halls, she is ABSOLUTE Power...

Guarding the Engine Room

There is a rumour going around that something totally top secret is stored within one of the many sub-chambers of the Engine Room... It's so secret that even the rooms creators have no idea exactly what may be stored inside. It's definitely something that is super important though since they have now posted their own brand of armed guards, posted at the gates to the grounds... 

Rudh has been posted as a guard on the northern end of the estate, where the Darkness - a backdrop from IDK Poses - is thick and foggy, puts the senses right on edge... The uniform of these guards is gorgeous but definitely not warm enough for this kind of weather. The Guinevere Jacket - part of the Luas outfit, along with the mask worn in this look - and the Viktoria Corset with this extra caging - available from sixx x wraith at the Engine Room - really doesn't keep you all that warm, althoug it's so chic looking. It looks even better when the St. Czapka Cap - from Grasshopper - is added to the top! 
These guards may not be very warmly dressed, but they are very well armed... The Aether Stream Pistol - a weapon from Artemisia - is a brutal pistoal charged with ionic techology that will obliterate anything that it touches, and if that wasn't enough power, the Magus Rod - from Quills & Curiosities at The Warehouse - will freeze you on the spot the moment that you try to cross a guard...

What kind of Spell do you seek?

"I put a spell on you, and now you're MINE"... Such a brilliant song, originally by Screamin' Jay Hawkins, but with epic covers including the awesome Bette Midler in the even more awesome Hocus Pocus movie. It's one of those sentiments that still hold true, especially at this time of year with that pesky little angel baby getting ready to show the world his ass... 
This year though the anti-valentine that I so love to be, is ready to remedy any cupid-like mishaps... He may work magic, but I've got a spell or two of my own... 

For the right price any of cupid's spells can be overturned... I got voodoo, potions, and tarot at my disposal, with a book of shadows close to hand and the perfect dose of thirst quenching tears to wash it all down with... 
As this year's unofficial Anti-Valentine - heck I try to do it every year but this year I'm starting a little early maybe LOL - I'm decked out in the height of cool fashion... Everything from my Stomper Boots - from Psycho Barbie - perfect for kicking the little "angel's" tuschy, to the spare pair of killer Piper Heels to match my stockings and garter - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane at the current round of The Epiphany - are signs of my new self-given position... 
I will even smile as I wave you out the door... Look at my face, how can you resist the anti-valentine this year?!

The Devil's in the Torture

 I racked my brain all day trying to think of something that I wanted to take a pretty picture of. It took all of the digging through my hoard to realize that I'm actually not feeling all that motivated and it seems to be a bit of a pattern with me that happens every year around the time that the weather starts to change... It's almost hibernating season... 
Nothing was looking like I wanted it to, nothing was making me feel good enough, and then I decided to try on one of the outfits I'd been planning to blog, and well... it's a look of the day of sorts I guess LOL... Lazy Sunday Blogging at it's finest! 

Today I went somewhere along the lines of a little Wednesday Addams, with a definite Rudhish twist! I love those little Rudhish twists hehe... 
The Wednesday Addams look comes in part from this adorable dress by Luas - that was a past group gift -  and I guess that's where the connection ends LOL... She's much more of a depraved little devil, maybe a minion of Wednesday's or something - someone that Wednesday uses for torture practice if the Slit Throat - from MoonPhase - and Mouse Trap - from Iso Darling - are anything to go by.

Kitty Cats in Pandasia

When you're sorting through your inventory that's become more of a cave of wonders, as it's so full, than a closet or even a storage container, you may find some amazing treasures buried in the deep dark corners...  

One of my discoveries was something that I had planned to blog a LONG time ago now was something a little Asian inspired, and well one thing lead to another and I had something that became an outfit, and a story began to form. 

At the gorgeous location that is the Isle of Pandasia - which is an Asian inspired, fantasy land - I decided to take my Forest Cats for a walk... My outfit was somewhat Asian inspired, and I say that loosely! VERY loosely! 

The entire reason that this outfit came to life was I re-found these amazing Pussy Footing Gets and Toe Socks from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. I hope I'm not gonna be in trouble with Izzy for forgetting I had them, but they are in the mainstore and soooo worth checking out!!! The Getas are CAT SHAPED!! I pulled them on, wiggling my toes into the toes of the socks, and added this cute Yuuna bodysuit from Luas - I'll admit, I was too shy to go out with my tata's out, so I added a little boob tube underneath, but isn't it a cute set!!!

Cacti Pricks in the Heat!

It's getting hotter here... For the past few days it's been far warmer than I like, and because it's Holland it's like living in a sweat box... The humidity makes it so much worse than it would be if it was just hot! I wouldn't mind dry heat, but this stickiness is just yuck and the Summer has only just started!!! BLEH I hate Summer LOL... Although I'm not sure I'd be any good somewhere it's hot and dry either... 

Life in the desert with the Cacti is also something that's definitely not made for me! I HATE hot weather lol... I do like Cacti however, they have proven to be very adept adversaries in the battle to see who will survive in my RL home LOL... Other plants die but Cacti seem to withstand the Rudh, the cat and even the fact I forget they are there LOL... So when I saw this amazing gacha collection from [Since1975] called Cactus Land was released, and it included the best sofa I've seen in a while I HAD to have one hehe... It's perfect for the pricks in your life, they will feel right at home... 

It was the fault of this set, that I had to decorate and make things feel a little prickly in my new desert home! Something a few more cacti and these gorgeous Solstice Chairs - from Trompe Loeil - were just perfect to fix...

Landing...

And she sticks the landing... That's right I've actually made it to solid ground in the UK, I'm here to visit my family and will be here for a week. Normally I'd hide away and shut myself off from SL reality, but today I wanted to get a little blog post in to first let everyone know I was here safely and second to share a little more of the Eclipse before it closes again for the month. 
First off though, how do I get down from this radio tower?? 

The Radio Tower is actually the main reason for this post being like it is... It's the Eclipse release from NOMAD, and it makes for a great prop, a great piece of sim decor and ALSO a cute single room living space that's open plan and would be perfect for anyone that loves that industrial feel lifestyle!
The rest of my outfit is just because it would have looked kinda weird to be landing in a parachute naked, though actually thinking about it that could have been the plot of a Bond film. 
Anyway, enough rambling, I have family stuff to do but don't worry I won't have gone far, I'll be back to blog more again tomorrow!

Dreams of China... I'm blaming Disney's Mulan!

I am finally done with work before my vacation and to be honest it's making me a little giddy with happiness!!! It was so stressful and I'm free now for almost two weeks! Gotta love that holiday feeling - I still have packing to get done but for now... FREE!!! 
I wanted to show my happy feeling, and for some reason I decided that now was the right time to listen to a little Disney Music... This is turn lead to my photo becoming something of a weird Asian style, escape from my reality! I escaped to ancient China, and danced around in the formal gardens of Tian Ya Hai Jiao!

Now OK, my photo is also missing my head but I just wanted to focus mainly on my awesome leg accessories! Plus it kinda gives it that in the moment feeling and I LOVE the combination of colours, lighting and well... Outfit!
The Dress part of this outfit is a Luas release called Kamiko, but that's not the main focus here. I wanted to show off these awesome Evie Sandals from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - which are available now at Fantasy Faire with donations going to Relay for Life from every purchase! These strappy sandals teamed perfectly with the Ama Assassin Leg Straps, that a perfect for a little ninja in training like me!

Back in my Childhood Bedroom

Well I'm back home at last, after a very stormy trip over the North Sea, HellBone and I made it home to my family and it feels freaking great to be here... Yesterday was spent chillaxing - with a quick trip to the grocery store - and an early night, but my gosh it always feels great to wake up in my old bedroom, in my old bed... I have so many good memories, and my childhood is wrapped up in this place like a cosy little dream.
This year it's 20 years since the creation of one of the weirder children's TV programmes of my youth, and my sister and I spent a good few hours giggling at the things we used to love back then. The 90's were my childhood, being back in my old childhood room - as well as a certain event in SL - has made me smile as I sit here writing this post with my early morning cup of coffee!

I was very much the typical 90's pre-teen... In love with a boyband called Take That, and sharing a bedroom with my little sister, I was lucky enough to be given all of the popular toys that a 90's kid could want! YES I even had a Tellytubbie doll, a Furbie - like the gacha collectables from REIGN - and a Tamagotchi - like the gacha toys from Luas.
Jelly bracelets and Jelly Shoes were a massive thing in my childhood... It was so cool to be seen wearing them, and when I add some of my other favourite toys like Spirograph and Trolls, this picture as much as my RL bedroom makes me feel happy. I am so excited that SL had a 90s themed Rewind Event! 
I LOVEEEEEEEEE being home, it's going to be a great chance for me to unwind and get rid of some of my stress, but never fear I won't forget to share things here too...

Not really a Country Girl!

A couple of weeks ago now, I said that I would be testing myself a little more... Trying to step out of my biker rock chick living dead girl comfort zone and into some things that were not truly Rudhish in style... One of those happened a few days later in the form of a birthday party held for one of our Gator Boys! We all had to get into a little Yee-Haw and slip into something Country Western... MY GOSH was it harder than I expected... Even with Sussie and Mongo as my shopping guides I had trouble! 

I did however find something, I wasn't entirely happy with it but it worked... That was until I went to the latest round of The Chapter Four this month! Luas had released what I felt was the PERFECT Rudhish country girl dress... I asked for clarification - and even though Mongo felt it didn't show enough of my curves - everyone agreed that it worked! It was almost like Luas was in my head and designed the perfect dress for what I wanted! 
I teamed it with a pair of cute Ankle Booties and this awesome Hat and Hair combo from Truth, and apparently I was good to go! 
I'm enjoying pushing my boundaries a little, who knows what will come next... Any Suggestions?

In SL I am going to hide my avatar away, somewhere to eat cake with a friend, but in RL I'll be dancing and happy... I had a wonderful party on Thursday, that was such a big surprise and I was even pulled on Stage by Johnny5 of Rob Zombie - thank you Boomer, Linda and the rest of the awesome tribute performers!

RAWR, I'm a Warrior!

RAWRRRRRRR, I'm feeling very feisty this morning... Someone rude started my day off with a bang and now I'm in the mood to kick some buttocks... Anyone want to cross my path today?? Bring it on I'm ready for you... 
I guess my mood has affected my choice in blog post for the day hehe, I chose one of the pictures that not only looks gorgeous but is strong too... Something a little feisty just like me!

This morning someone told me to drop dead... I hope that karma rears it's ugly head... For now though the warrior in me is ready to fight for revenge... Bring it on I say! 
The warrior look was inspired by this amazing pauldron from (Poisoned Diamond) that you can grab at Cosmopolitan. It comes in various colours, but I felt like being an ice queen this morning...

Crazy Times call for LOTS OF GLITTER!

When you're having a bad day, there is nothing that will cheer you up more than a little sparkle... In my case that works anyway, I cannot really say it is the same for everyone.
One of the sparkles that makes me smile the most, however, is in fact looking though my SL inventory and pulling together a look that I LOVE...
This look is one of those, but I will fully admit that when I started to work on it, I found myself thinking what the heck am I doing... Isn't it great that the sparkle can come from something like that?

The reason for this entire look was possibly due to one of the most bonkers items that I have been sent to blog in a long while. It's an Arcade release, one of those events that people are always crazy for, and I feel pretty honoured that I was sent a blogger pack in advance of the event - although I am kinda late with blogging it because I had absolutely no freaking idea what I was going to do with it.
The RachelBreaker HELPmeHats are a crazy collection of interesting looking baseball caps, which for the record look awesome with that newer Magika hair release called Lessons... That is your lesson for today.
I wore the crazy hat, with a matchingly crazy dress... This was a past event release from Cubic Cherry Kre-ations, and I am not sure if it is still available, but it does fit perfectly with the HELPmeHats... Then the rest of the accessories were just things that I'd dug out of my hoard... A Name Tag from DirtyStories, a SilentSparrow Betta Fish for a friend and neck jewellery from ginchi and Luas...
A perfectly crazy look for a day when I'm bored at work and need a little inject of Rainbow Craziness...
