Pool Time Fun!

It's getting hot again!! The temperature is rising just as I've got to start cleaning my house to make sure everything is ready to go home... WHY DO THE GODS HATE ME?!
All I want to to do is find a way to cool down, I want to shower every five minutes and swim somewhere cool and preferably shady... I wish I had a pool!!!

I'm not sure if Rudh is chilling in her rubber ring, or if she's making a terrible cannonball bomb into the pool and is about to get herself stuck in a rubber ring she's landing on... 
You can see that her fishy buddies are experiencing her arrival with different reactions... The Bubble Buddies, such cute little fishies - from Krescendo - are watching on with a little concern, but it's the Chompy Sharks - from Snuggle&Co, still available until July 13th at Summerfest - that seem to be enjoying it... The Stance of a Gladiator

The heat is on and I'm going into battle to fight the monsters that are too hot, too sweaty and too drowsy... There are so many things wrong with being in temperatures this hot, especially since the home I have has no way of cooling off, and all of the heat is trapped inside... 
I'm going to fight... Im going to dive in and handle the heat in the same fighting spirit as the Roman Gladiators... 

I never really found the interest in Roman Archaeology when I was studying Archaeology at university and in fact any time since. My reason is that we know SO MUCH about them, they left written accounts of their daily life so there is little room for speculation, unlike the Dark Ages... 
The Gladiators knew how to fight though, many were not military trained, and perhaps that was the key to their popularity. They were able to fight in ways that most people couldn't... They were made to kick ass, and the best were like the footballers of today...

A Drink in the Moonlight

It is insanely hot here in the Netherlands and our homes are DEFINITELY meant to hold the heat rather than release it... It's one of the reasons that Summer and I do not get on LOL... This timeof year I find myself wishing I could be more of a night owl or perhaps a Vampire... I've been around the hospital too much lol wanting to be in the night and suddenly reminded of the smell of blood... 

I know that Vampires are often portrayed as the monsters, but in this day and age that should be altered in my mind. People are just as bad if not worse, and they come with a lot less grace... I love things that are Vamp based, Twilight aside because that was just silly nonsense I mean he sparkled and they gave birth to a demon-like baby... I'm still mourning the finale of What we do in the shadows, and love the glamour that often comes with a lady of the dark... 
I think now days we have enough blood banks, we should learn to share what extra we have with the Vamps and then leave them to dance through the shadows and the moonlight...

Dancing for Chicken

You might have gathered by now that I list reading as one of my hobbies but do you know what it is that I love to read most? I am a Smut reader mostly. I LOVE anything dark and twisted and kinky. There are genres within the genre, and some I LOVE more than others. I don't so much like the sports romances but I love the stalker types. I don't really have a preference though and will read ANYTHING... Though give me a masked man that's a bit stalkerish and possessive and I'm extremely happy...

Dance Among The Stars

I need a little magic, I need a little rest and a lot of time to sleep... I need to find that magic to help myself rest up... I'm going to close my eyes and let my imagination soar, I want to be somewhere where the magic fizzes and sparkles and lights up the darkness... 

When I am at my lowest I tend to find the most sparkly of fae folk to bring me out of my slump and make things seem more effervescent... 
That is exactly what happened when I closed my eyes today and started to let my mind drift off to another world. I ended up drifting up and away, I ended up ascending to a demonic realm but one where I could dance among the stars and sparkle through the clouds... I love dancing and drifting off to a new place in my head...

The Free Red Light Library!

I was supposed to have the day off today, but being the Ass Man at work, that wasn't able to happen. It meant I had to leave and head into the city, and face the most disgusting Amsterdam that happens all year... It's horrible and I'd hate to be a tourist expecting a beautiful city on the day after King's Day... 
I seemed to spend a lot of time waiting, and it got my mind wandering... I was scrolling through the internet and wishing I lived in a place where I could have a free library with my neighbours... It led to my mind going off in a different directions... 

I was wondering about these free libraries, but rather than a neighbourhood library and books, I was wondering how things would go with a free "library" in the Red Light District... Perhaps they'd repurpose an old phone box, to become a London Style Shelf - like the one that was released by Boutique #187 for Man Cave - and they might have the odd toy to play with but I'm sure the hookers would LOVE some steamy reading to enjoy while they wait for their next client...

Apocalyptic Chic!

Tomorrow is King's Day, it's a very important day in the Netherlands and I've spoken about it before but will definitely be talking about it tomorrow too... For now though, it's King's Night and already the place seems to be going crazy... I love seeing the people having fun, but I hate the disrespect and almost fighting attitude that some people seem to be having... Can't this be about fun and freedom, not fighting like it's the start of the Apocalypse... 

There is something about Apocalyptic Chic, the ripped fabric, the metals and wearing bullets as an accessory... I've never even seen a gun in real life, air rifles aside, but in Second Life I seem to use them kinda often... I don't know what I'd do with a real gun, I'd probably be shaking to much to be able to put anything to use... I mean, thinking about it, I don't think I'd be much help in the Apocalypse, but I KNOW I'd at least look good while thing were burning down around me...

Twenty Thousand Leagues

What happens on a day like today when my mind is allowed to wander but I can't seem to find myself creating another weird and wonderful fae creation... I got a major case of being stuck today... I was in a rut, couldn't think what I wanted to do and for the life of me things were going no where... I WAS CONFUSED... Then I had a momentary brain fart, remembered that I'm in the blogger team for the epic, somewhat steampunkish themed Engine Room and TADAAAAAA my mind went into overdrive... 
Dreams of travelling with and working alongside some of the most interesting fantasy names in literary history, I didn't think it would ever happen... I loved studying his achievements, but when I was offered a trip Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, to the office of one Captain Nemo... I jumped at the chance... 

It's a brilliant sci-fi novel by the great Jules Verne, and is a great adventure that takes place on board the Nautilus Submarine of Captain Nemo. They discover all kinds of crazy things and even though it's a bit science fiction for my normal tastes, it's a story that should never be missed. 
So now that I'm able to check around Nemo's Study - which happens to be a backdrop from LORE for the Engine Room - there is so much to see... He's using a Mind's Analizer to read his rat's mind, he's got some weird Neoflora - from Blue Blood - mechanical flower things growing in an old Mermaid Tank - from Dirty Rat - and everything seems to be electrified... 
I'd had to make sure I fit into his weird little steampunk world... Luckily, I'd had the chance to shop at the Engine Room before I made my way under the sea...

Gathering of the Rainbow Fae

I was off work today and thought to myself "I'm going to be a good little blogger and get lots of pictures ready for me to post every day this week"... A few hours later and I got preciesly ONE ready... I wasn't being lazy, I just let myself decide to create something that took a lot of work and far too much planning LOL... Getting Dirty

It's been a busy few days since I've been back in the Netherlands but that may be because I've been back at work and it's been crazy busy... The high season is coming and people seem to be making an appearance within the city... I'm tired and sore but my mind is happy that I was able to get back to work, AND that tomorrow I get to have a lovely day off... 

I love my job, sometimes it's hard work but it's a job that has lovely colleagues and a usually happy public that I can entertain... Sometimes I want to murder a few people, and there are always people that think they know better but it's job that I go out and do, that pays my bills, gets me to meet a variety of random and interesting people and COME ONE, it's CHEESE!! Fight for Love

Sometimes I feel like I could get into the Valentine's spirit, others I'm as far from interested as any person ever could be... I DON'T feel like being sweet, romantic or anywhere near Valentineish today... I wanna kick someone's butt, I wanna be angry and violent and I'm not even really sure why... So my aggression will start here... I hear there's been some trouble down at the Tunnel of Love... 

As I arrived at the Tunnel of Love - which happens to be a backdrop by blaink by the way - there was no one waiting in line, which should have been my first major red flag... Rainbows, Sparkles and Happiness

It's one of those lovely lazy days when I have the day off between being stuck at work for the next couple of days... I'm busy getting things packed and ready for my trip home soon, and I'm super excited although I'll be away from my hubs for a couple of weeks. I AM GOING HOME FOR A REAL REST... Can you tell I'm excited and happy?!

I haven't felt this happy and excited about a trip home since last April when I had the concert of Take That and the most amazing seats we've ever been in for one of their shows... This time there is nothing much planned, besides a trip to see my Grandparents, and the chance to have the attention of my parents all to myself... It's a GOOD excitement... 
I feel like everything is sparkly, I'll miss Valentines but meh that holiday is a yuck one, and my hubby knows I love him anyway... He'll get a million Cream Eggs as a sign of love when I get home... For now though I'm counting down the days and enjoying that sparkly feeling I have... Rainbows and Sparkles and a boatload of happiness...

Smoke Break in the Alley

I have been wracking my brain, trying to think of new and different ways to relax... I read a LOT, I spend time taking pictures, I knit and crochet, and I have recently restarted my scrap booking journal again. I want something new, something interesting and I feel like I need to find something new... SOMEONE GIVE ME AN IDEA... SOMEONE GIVE ME SOMETHING FUN TO DO... 

If I don't find something to do, my mind can wander to dark and twisted places. I read some of the darkest, smuttiest works of fiction. The one I just finished will not be leaving my brain for a little while, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to enact them... I'm tempted in SL, but the hubby is far too vanilla for that lol... Maybe finding a Sugar Daddy?!

I'll sneak out the back of the club to have a momentary smoke break, hiding in the shadows, until I feel brave enough. I look fierce and ready to find someone to play with, but that makes me nervous, and a girl needs time to clam her nerves...

Time for some Christmas Chaos

I've been making pretty festives lately, and I love the pretties that come with this time of year... I will admit that the darker and more twisted side of me is not happy though, and I'm fighting back the thoughts of not committing murder tomorrow as I work in retail for the next coupe of days... I feel like now I HAVE to let the demons out, I NEED to release a little festive chaos... 

The Holly Demon - a set from Faunus - is one of the Christmas Chaos Demons in her natural form... Normally they hide as lights amongst the holly bushes, but today she's heading out on a mission to cause all different kinds of chaos. A Moment to Pause...

Today I wasn't working, technically you could say that it's the start of my weekend, and basically I found myself buried to my neck in a blogging slump. I KNOW that I have targets I need to work on and things I KNOW I want to do but for some reason, when it came to starting my blogging plans today I was stuck... 

Am I the only one that ever gets in a rut? I see so many people posting gorgeous things almost every day, but I find myself wondering, don't you ever get confused about what you wanna do with or without the things that you're given?! It was just brewing in my mind that I COULDN'T think what I wanted to do, but after all the decorating and the planning and the work, my mind was spinning, and it wasn't until a very wise friend told me to take a day to relax and let my mind rest, make a cuppa tea and read my book that things started to fall into place... I did exactly that,I found a cosy armchair by a fire in the Frostel Penthouse - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - with my Cats in their Winter Sweaters - courtesy of Aardvark - to keep them extra toasty warm. Missing You

I know sometimes I'm random and I'm a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions, but I made a RL mistrake today and it's hurt me and I feel a need to get it out and talk to someone. I don't wanna burden my hubby with it, and my family and friends are all busy so why not vent here and let it out this way, maybe someone out there can relate... 
It's getting closer to Christmas... This Christmas will be my first without my puppy Izzy, and even though we lost her in February, I caught myself about to buy her something as a gift for Christmas this morning...

I know it seems like a silly thing, I was buying a gift for my kitty... Anna has become so used tobeing the Queen of the house, but I spotted something so adorable for the puppy that I ALMOST bought it before I remembered that Izzy will be eating her Christmas Turkey with other pets from my past... It brought a tear to my eyes, and I fought hard not to let the hubby see...
Needed to find a way to get it out of my system. I miss her so much, and even though there is NO PLAN to get a new Dog anytime soon - I love the freedom that I have without her being here - I can't stop myself from missing her... I had to find somewhere peaceful, to curl up with a cool drink and my memories, I needed to think of her and have a good cry to get over things...

The Crazy Circus

I got through most of Halloween this year with very few clowns and although my Sammy Winchester hates them, there seems to be so many in my mind - and surrounding me in RL for that matter - so today when I'm having my mind off work and onto crazy boring things but as my mind was racing I ended up being surrounded by the clowns in my own personal crazy circus... 

The Crazy Circus is pouring straight out of my overly tired mind today, it's like someone has peeled back my scalp and the monster within is the ringmaster in my own personal crazy place... The clock is ticking until we can use that brilliant phrase once uttered by someone a little bit beetlejuicy - and a reason that I'm looking a little rotten tonight whilst still wearing my amazing new Suddenly Cardigan from my newest sponsor Garmonbozia at the current round of FaMESHed - for now I'm checking on the Unicorn Balloon Skele - the October group gift from Aardvark - in her cage and getting more than a little frustrated that one of those crazy idiot clowns left the gate open and released the Chained Up Buns - a new release from Tardfish for this month's Anthem... The Midnight Order has Arrived...

The Midnight Order has started... The dark and macabre have come rushing into Second Life, and there are lots of evils out there ready to fill your minds with twisted little fantasies... 
We're opening the lid on what really seems like Pandora's Box and as the darkness floods out, it's so pretty... There's steampunk, there's blackness, there's monsters and more... Just wait to see what comes through the crack in the box lid... 

The city hall surrounded by Floating Crystal Sconces - created by CELESTE  for Midnight Order - in which the box was opened has now become the epicenter and command post of the Midnight Order, and the darkeness will slowly be seeping over the world from here... It's not Halloween yet, we still have to wait a few months, but lt the darkness reign... 
A Tyrant's Torch - from Skellybones at Midnight Order - has fallen into the hands of Rudh, and she's become the evil power that will control this chaos... She's demonic, her horns - from UNHOLY ASMODEUS - decorated with crosses but the rest of her outfit a little steampunk perhaps, showing the status of the now darkened city...

Butterflies of the Dark

Lots of things come to life during the Midnight Hour, when the magic wakes up... You never know what of the magical beings will bring to entertain. Today, as the moon is at it's fullest, the butterflies of the night - yes I know they are more often called moths, by everyone including ME lol, but this sounds much cooler this way - take flight and flock to their spirit, the one that holds their light and calls them home... 

This spirit hides in the ruins of the Broken Temple - a backdrop from Synnergy - she's marked by the butterflies that flutter in the dust of the crumbling building. All of these beautiful butterflies of the night are drawn to our spirit simply because of what she carries in her hand... She has the Butterflies of the Soul - a beautiful creation from Dreamcatcher for the Midnight Order...
