Farmers Market for Lunch

It's been the last of my days off for the weekend, and I am ready to go back to work this week.. Just 4 more days until I can go back to England and right now that seems more important than ever as Mum has been in hospital and I'm worried about her... At this rate, the real reason for going now will be a whole lot less wonderful and a whole lot more scary other things... 
I wanted to try and have a day to relax as I waited for news, I decided that since I'm living on the farm I was going to get out and see the countryside... 

I stopped at the Meadow Market, a gorgeous little farmers market - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and stopped at the Mobile Bakery and grabbed myself some Junk Food in the form of a Deli Sandwich filled with cheese and pickles and salad! The jalapeno chips look like I should grab a bag of those too... OOOOH and they have a blind date with a book stand... I've always wanted to try those, though I worry if I get a book I've already read I'll be a little disappointed LOL...

Why do I always get sick?!

Someone tell me why?! I have a question that I NEED an answer to... Someone tell me why, whenever the season changes do I seemingly instantly catch a cold and feel like shit?! 
It's like as soon as the season decides it's time to change whether it's to Spring or Autumn, and other's start to get coughs and sneezes, I am automatically primed to get sick... It didn't take long but yep... I've got the lurgy... 

I came home early on Saturday. I tried hard but I hadn't actually been able to work a full shift... 
I spent MOST of today, curled up in my bed snoozing and I was trying to read in the time that I wasn't asleep. I wanted to do some SL things but it didn't take long before I found myself being escorted back to bed with a bowl of chicken soup, a cup of tea, my squishy plushie Louie Cat - from Snuggle&Co -  and my choice of a favourite movie to relax... He wouldn't let me Lord of the Rings, so can you tell what I forced him to watch?! LOL... Do you have a favourite go to movie when you want something comforting? Oh and before you answer that, can you pass me some more paracetamol?!

Spring Fairy holds the Key

I'm still not a happy bunny as my computer is still something that HellBone is slowly working on fixing, I'm just having to test my skills and try to use Hell's computer to take some pictures are get my blogging caught up on... I needed to get some things done, and this was the only way, I'm not sure that I am overly happy with the results, but we'll get things back to the way that they should be... 
I wanted to do something a little magical and take my mind off everything real life that is bringing me down, and let my inner fairy out to play... I used to convince myself I was a mermaid at heart but I think recently that may have shifted, now I feel much more confident in a pair of sparkly wings full of colour and magic... 

All of the seasons have their own magical feelings, and each of them is remarkable in their own way, but for some reason Spring seems to be more magical than most seasons. It's the time when things come to life, the flowers bloom and the sun starts to warm up... I love the sun this time of the year, it's warming without burning, and the light dances in pretty sparkling rays... 
The Spring Fairy dances through the light beams assisting the flowers to sprout, they come out all over her skin, today it just happens to be daisies, and dancing with her adorable little butterfly buddies - from MishMish - all the while she guards the keys in her Keys Antlers - available until June 3rd at Enchantment from Boutique #187 - these are the keys to the secret garden that she protects with her magic...

Kinky Rainbow Pool Party Time!

Summertime should be  great time for a party... I seem to spend so much of my SL now living like a hermit and so I don't very often spend ANY time with anyone, so I guess the party that I'm throwing will be a party of one... 
I guess it means it can be any theme that I choose and they will be varied since I'm random like that... I think right now, I'm going for a theme of kinky rainbows...  

It will be cute and sweet, I mean how could rainbows be anything but... I mean I have a cute little kiddy pool - like the Puppy Bone  Pool that comes with a set of poses from -Extra- that are kitty and puppy playing in a pool poses and the reason I have decided to go all kittenish today - and the water balloons, which I ran out of and balloons whilst setting up and ended up having to find a replacement... CONDOMS - from Koukla. I've even made sure that the buckets of Icepops - from Junk Food - was bright and rainbow coloured, and they taste great too... There was just one thing missing, and while Daddy stepped away to start the BBQ, he turned on the hose setting off the Dick Sprinkler - from Krescendo, available until July 6th at FaMESHedX - and showered me with freezing cold water...

Binge watching with my Fur Babies!

 I've had the day from hell, I know it sounds a little overdramatic but when you get hit hard with a monstrous migraine all you want to do is find somewhere dark and quite... It's been a nightmare few hours but I was able to catch some sleep after working all day, and have now managed to eat so I'm going to curl up and watch a little TV... 
Nothing better than curling up on the sofa, with an old series on the TV to binge watch and a cuddly friend to share it with is an idea of heaven... 

Made myself a rather large bowl of Veggie-Packed Bibimbap - available from Cat-Noodle at LEVEL until May 24th - and a cup of coffee before I sat curled up under a blanket to watch some Jonathan Creek. I was with my adorable doggy - like the one sat behind me, represented by the Foxwood Boho Borzoi - who got scared of the first murder. It seemed like we ended up having more than a few of her puppy dog buddies - all from Foxwood - coming to join in the binge watching... They lounged all over my bed, and the Castle Thrones - from Krescendo at Kinky until May 22nd - that my fur babies use as their princess beds... I'm not sure Anna, my cat - a kitten from Jian - was all that amused, I caught her peeking at me from behind a chair... Too man dogs for her liking I think...

It's ALIVEEEEEEE!!!

Just as I'm on the verge of being able to go back to work in the cheese shop - something I've been waiting MONTHS to be allowed to do now - it seems like everyone around me is getting a cold... I'm crossing my fingers and praying to any God that may hear me, that I won't catch anything. I WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK NOW!!
Since I'm avoiding it in RL though, perhaps it will work like the chicken pox in RL, I'll get Rudh to catch it in SL, and then maybe it won't be so bad if I do? Rudh seemed to have picked up the cold pretty quickly, I wonder if it had anything to do with the fact she's been exploring the magical places of SL recently... 

In these magical places, she's gone and caught herself a cold... The works hit her hard, her nose is running, her eyes are watering and she's full of phlegm. Blowing her nose into a tissue, for some reason she decided to actually look at what her nose had created... Still looking like a terrible mess, her nose blowing bubbles in her boogers - thanks to the Stuffy Nose Set from KitCat - and maybe it was a mistake, a disgusting snotty mistake... 
In the tissue, when she looked, there was the biggest snot pile she'd ever seen in her life. Then the shock got bigger, it started to move! The "Smol Sludgie" Snot Monster came to life in her tissue...

Stuck in Bed

So I'm back home now as I said before, and I've finally gotten myself set up so that I can have some access to my PC... I think right now that I need some sanity, I need to be able to have a little access to SL and perhaps I have the chance now to be able to get myself into my blog?! Baby steps, but I need something to do to take my mind off the pain... 

Right now, I'm curled up on the bed that was loaned to me from the health care companies so that I have a place to heal... It's not ideal, it's right in the middle of my living room, but we've rigged up a computer to it, and I have the TV so I guess I'll have to wait for the comforts of my own bed... 
Right now though, I guess having access to the TV, my cellphone - thanks to the new Boutique #187 Precious Phone for Happy Weekend - and a computer, being forced to spend all the time in my Pyjamas - or in Rudh's case one of my favourite sets of soft fluffy robe and nightshirt sets called Clem from miss chelsea - checking and rechecking my temperature, taking pills as ordered by my doctors and make sure I look after myself with some delicious bowls of hot soup to make me feel better... I LOVED this kinda soup when I was a little kid, and when I'm sick it comes second only to Chicken Noodle as my healing soup of choice, but how can anyone turn down a bowl of delicious Alphabet Soup - from Junk Food, served with Crackers and a glass of water, available at Blanc until January 25th - my only question for you now as I tuck into my delicious soup is, what can you spell with yours?!

Halloween's Aftermath

 WOW Halloween was crazy epic... We at the Gators had the most amazing concert from Wire Frost's Rob Zombie Experience and I proceeded to get more than a little drunk... It was a good Halloween party, but much like Jack Skellington waking up after his explorations of Christmas town I felt how hard it was to wake up this morning... 

This is my feeling of what I'd imagine would happen if Rudh was living life like Jack Skellington... In her tower bedroom, she slowly wakes up and looks around checking that there's some medication nearby, noticing that her own version of Sally left her a bacon sandwich and she has to grab it before Zero gets his ghostly teeth into it!

Back at Home but not yet better!

If you've ever had Gall Stones, then you will know how I am feeling right about now... After a very scary week of being rushed into the hospital, and put through an emergency operation to remove not just 4 LARGE gall stones, but also my gall bladder which had become infected meaning I had to have a drain in my side so that any toxic liquids could escape, I am finally back at home... 

I'm feeling a little worse for wear... I definitely won't be back up to speed any time soon, BUT for now I'm HOME!!! That should help with the recovery process! I don't think I'll be able to do much in the way of blogging for a bit, but I wanted to at least let everyone know that I'm alive, I'm working on getting better and I miss everyone! 
Luckily in SL, Rudh has the perfect new bedroom in which to hide from the world until she feels well enough to go out and rock out again! A gorgeous set from Petite Mort called "Wanderlust" that is available as a gacha collection from The Imaginarium until September 30th. It's soft, feminine and has a yearning for adventure, but right now I think that the only adventure I'll get is in the pages of a book or behind my eyelids... Speaking of which it's time for me to lay down again, but I will be back soon, I promise!

Junk Food for the Sick

For the past few days I've been down with a cold... I know that there are so many illnesses out there which are a million times worse, but being in the midst of a cold you feel like crap and all you want to do is hide, and maybe if you're really lucky have someone bring you soup! I've been off work for a week now, forcing myself to take breaks outside between laying in bed feeling sorry for myself, but at times like these - SL Photography is always affected by RL it seems... 

When I get sick in RL, Rudh also has to suffer LOL... I'm so kind to my barbie doll like that! Least in her case someone has been lovely and bought her some soup... Soup is like Junk Food for the sick! I could live on soup... Mmmm French Onion, Cream of Chicken, Tomato or even the Dutch Erwentensoep - which is a thick pea and smoke sausage soup - now I'm getting hungry!!! 
Please let me eat my soup, and then take a nap, I promise I'll be back on fine form later!!!

Everyone needs a Sick Day right?!

Last night I hurt myself pretty bad, I thought I'd be strong and it wasn't so bad but this morning, oh my god this morning it's worse than I thought. I fell down the stairs yesterday, narrowly missing smashing a glass in my hand, as well as smacking my head on the wooden floor, but in the process - and I'm not sure how - I managed to hurt my foot. Now I hear from a RL friend that I may have broken a couple of toes! 
So maybe it's lucky, maybe it's not, but I am going to have to work from home today! 
Rudh's sick too... A different kind of sick, but still not going anywhere other than the sofa!

It's that time of year again, Cold and Flu season, and even our avatars are not immune to the sicknesses - even though we make them suffer ourselves LOL, and there is nothing more contagious in SL than Drama STDs!

Surfy Snacks on a Heavenly Beach

Can you hear that rumbling in the distance... It's the sound of hundreds, if not thousands, of Secondlife's residents stamping their feet, pawing the ground and getting ready to charge... The biggest event of the quater is coming, and no matter if you love or hate it, The Arcade is always a major talking point.
Personally myself I am a yardsale shopper... I know that some designers are a little anti yardsales, but if I want things to have a complete set then I will always check out a yardsale to collect things. I have no problem with gacha machines in which I wouldn't mind what colour or design I get but for full collections, I just cannot afford to keep hitting a game of chance!
Anyway, before the craziness of The Arcade starts tomorrow, I am sending you a picture of my personal beachy heaven... The place I am relaxing before I join the other crazy shoppers to get my Arcade goodies...

The beach is a little slice of paradise, totally alone and peaceful... I jumped off my boat and found that the last person who'd found this deserted beach had thoughtfully left their hammock hanging for me.
Unloading my cooler and grabbing my beach towel tote, I skipped up the beach before heading back to grab the table and pop-up BBQ that I brought with me...
But it was the food that I am most looking forward too... Kebab skewers and shrimp on the barbeque, chips and dips and MMMMM look at that watermelon!!!

Makes heaven just that little bit more heavenly. The Lost Junction Surfy Snacks - available at the Arcade from tomorrow - are perfect for the beach and are making me hungry in RL...

Enchantment is the Second Star to the Right

One of my favourite memories from when I was little was the bedtime stories that I used to be told... Dad always made up stories for me and my sister about a little field mouse that took my sister and I on adventures, but Mum claimed that she had less imagination and so would always read to us from books. One of the first that I remember clearly was Peter Pan... 
Since then I've always loved tales of fairies and pirates and mermaids, as you may perhaps have figured out from reading my blog, but in a world of such chaos - at times - what is so wrong in that?!
The reason I'm running on a tangent about Peter Pan however, is because I've been more than a little excited about the recent opening of an Event in SL... Enchantment is back for another outing this month and this time it is based on the J.M. Barrie classic...  

The shopping event always pulls me in, but this time I was super excited... I bought a lot and was so excited that I have in fact been dressed like a pirate for the past few days - but I will show you that later hehe... For now though I want to share the picture I made in which my creativity seemed to run away with me lol... 
The A.D.D.Andel Wall Décor inspired this picture... I LOVED the simple décor and already have it on the wall of my bedroom. It comes with or without the quotation in both yellow and white. I knew I wanted to blog it, but how... I've never been very good at blogging furniture! Then a thought hit me... Find items that represent Neverland, and keep myself out of the shot... So that's what I did! I threw out a few more sparkles - [ keke ] glitter floor - to bring the stars to life and then set to work... 
Everyone needed to be represented! The Indians are there - the arrow and feather represents them - the Mermaids and the Lost Boys too - if you look at the mermaid dolly and the slingshot - but other characters items may need a little more discussion hehe... 
Starting with the fairies... I did a naughty thing! I unlinked this fairy dust jar from a décor item that comes with the MishMish Lil Fairies - sorry MishMish designer bunny please don't tell me off - but it was just too perfect, as fairy dust is more than a little important in the Peter Pan story. To go with the dust I also decided to include one of the amazing Tink Booties from Purple Moon that you can get at Enchantment... I HAD to have a pair of these, they are just gorgeous and a must have for anyone who ever dresses in a Fae style! 
Then the Children - Wendy, Michael and John. I chose to share Wendy through he kiss to Peter, the thimble she gave him, and I cheated with Michael and John LOL... Michael, the youngest, has a teddy bear... Here his teddy bear - thanks to Boogers - is dressed to represent Hook, the pirate captain! Yet I also wanted to share the ship that helped to bring the children home, and thus the Sari-Sari Paper Mache Ships were perfect for the job. 
Lastly though, and this is NOT an Enchantment item but just seemed like the perfect thing to represent one of the characters of Neverland, I added a slipper from Lost Junction to represent the Crocodile! These slippers are freaking adorable, and though the Croco pair were my favourite - possibly because I am so closely linked to alligators - they are all very cute, and all available at the Wayward Market until December 10th. 
SO check out both the Wayward Market, and Enchantment - you have until December 5th to do so - and while you're there don't forget to pick up the hud to do the hunt!! I did it yesterday, it's pretty easy, the clues are provided and now I get to be like a kid at Christmas and open my goodies hehe... YAY!!!!
