Gorgon Chained!

You may well know now that I work in a public setting, and there are people that seem to do everything in their power to put you down because you don't have the things they do have. I get that some of the tourists have more material things than others but today those same kinda people basically shoved other people out the way to stuff their face on tasting samples and then complained about the price of the product... I had such a hard time not rolling my eyes, but it brought out a monster in me and although that varies from time to time, the monster of today would be a gorgon LOL... 

I love when my mind takes me to al kinds of different monsterous places, but since I'm watching Wednesday and think that Ajax is the cutest little sweetie so a Gorgon definitely demands my attention... Plus she's the kind of monster that I need when I'm at work sometimes, being able to turn people that look at her hair to stone would definitely help make thing easier when I'm dealing with rude, annoying customers... 
Monsters like her have to be kept chained up for the safety of others, and while she's a little misunderstood, they bound the wrong parts of her... Eyes closed under a blindfold, while her snakes are loose...

Toxic Monsters

Are you one of those people that can flit through life without any care or concerns, trying to keep yourself smiling and without problems? Are you one of those people that seems to find yourself stuck in a rut, facing difficulties and wanting the world to stop? Do you live for drama and toxicity or are you happier when you can be left alone to enjoy some peace? I know that everyone is different and everyone has their own way of handling things, for me personally I'm an over-thinker, I have terrible anxiety and worry constantly about letting people down. It's a toxic, viscious cycle sometimes, and it's one that I'm trying hard to break free from... 

I am one of those people that over-thinks, over worries, and gets anxious about a lot of things, though perhaps unless you knew me really well you'd NEVER know that... I'm definitely not the only one with these feelings, they seem to becoming more and more predominant these days, but we all seem to have to our own ways of dealing with these emotions. I'm one of those people that aims to distract myself by reading or taking pictures in Second Life to make things become less focused on the bad, toxic feelings... Sometimes though my mood will guide my creativity... Today things are a little bit of a toxic monster...

Trick or Treating for Pennies

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! The day of the darkest magic has finaly arrived and there is so much fun to be had... I'll admit to you now that this October has been a whole lot less Halloweeny than years gone by, and even though it feels like I've done a lot less Halloweeny stuff this year I'm kinda happy to just be able to relax and enjoy the chill in the air... 

I spent a long time trying to work out what I wanted to be this year for Halloween... I finally got my Hop(e) on - which also happens to be the name of the backdrop from K&S - and realised that posing in the sewer there was one character I had to be... The sewer seemed far too full of trash, and even the tentacle monster that dwells in the dark wants to escape... 
What kinda Halloween spooky lives in the sewer you might ask? For those of you that appreciate a good horror movie, there's only one real answer... I'm dressing all cute and evil clowish, I'm going to get my IT on... 
One of my store obsessions, Mug, made the perfectly girlie version of Pennywise's outfit - appropriately called Penny, and available until November 10th at Kustom9 - and with the addition of a little make-up to look a little Scherzo - in a make-up that is a Hunt Gift from Fallen Gods Inc, at the soon to shut Trick or Treat Lane - and my clowning around was ready...

HALLOWEEN PARTY TIME!!

This is NOT a drill people, it's finally Halloween!! There's so much fun to be had today and it's all about to start kicking off for me as we start hosting our Halloween/Closing Party for the maze this year! 
I'm dressed up as the waitress, since I'll be assisting with the hosting of the party, I'll be handing out some delicious treats today... I just wish some of our monsters would keep their hands, or tentacles to themselves... 

Every time I walk past the door to where Kraken is hanging out, that creepy, somewhat pervy, cephalopod keeps trying to lure me back into his room... Cyber Zombie Awakens

 Halloween is getting closer and the monsters of SecondLife are getting ready to come out to party... It's a time of year that I LOVE so much and my creative side cannot get enough of this time of the year... The monsters are coming out of every corner of my mind, dusting off or maybe adding more cobwebs and appearing from the dark... 
I found one of them wandering in the dark toxic fumes of the Parking Garage... 

You can tell this little zombie has spent a lot of time in the garage... She's a little more mechanical and cyber than some of the other monsters in my mind, but she's definitely one of my new favourite friends... From the corroded wires in her hair, to her Hibernation MKII bodysuit - from Normandy at the new round of Necrotize - she's definitely a little bit of a cyborg zombie... A responsible cyborg zombie since she's looking after health by wearing a Pazuzu Respirator - from PSYCHO.Byts also at Necrotize - to stop herself breathing in the smoke...

Fish on Fridays

Fish on Fridays was always a thing when I was growing up... Mum made lots of different variations on the theme, but I have to admit that I am truly British and grew up with a love of Fish & Chips. It was always most exciting when Dad announced that he was heading up to the chippie, and when we were younger we had a boy cat called "Gus" who would follow us up and wait to for his own little portion... 
Everyone should love Fish & Chips, I think even the witch under the sea would love some crispy, coated fishy fillets...

Defeating the Monsters

I'm sick of the Monsters, both the ones that live in my head and the ones that seem to appear out of no where in life... Just when I think they have been quietened, they appear like a bad smell to raise my anxiety levels and make me paranoid. I'm getting better at standing up against these monsters, at removing myself from the situations that feature them, but I'm left a nervous ball of anxiety... 

Even in the safety of the asylum in my mind, these monsters can appear at any time... I'm sick of being haunted by them, and I will defeat them one by one... 
This time I caught the monster in a devil's trap and I will be expelling it from my life since ignoring it wasn't going to ever be good enough. She lures you in with sweet words, the things you long to hear, the scent of roses, but then spreads the virus that is spreading over her petite frame...

It's Easter weekend, but let's not get too excited... It's that strange Saturday between the holiday days of Good Friday and Easter Sunday, when people want to be in holiday mode but have to in fact just act like it's a normal day LOL... So don't let yourself get too carried away today lol... 
Rudh let herself get carried away, she'd heard about a Potion of Night, only problem was the guard she had to get past to get it...

The Sea Witch got the Trident!

 Everyone may have realised by now that I have a bit of a love of Mermaids... I always wanted to be Ariel as I was a kid, and now I realise I'd have much more fun in Ursula's body... Who wouldn't wanna be an evil undersea witch?! 
I'd be the kinda seawitch that hides in a dark little cave with my monsterous tentacles draining the life out of the brave little fishies that swim by to create an army of ghost fish hehe... 

After all, Hentai Fair is running and there are just SO MANY TENTACLES that a girl cannot help but let the monster in the cave come to life... Marked by the Octopus!

 I think I have one more trip into the deepest, darkest depths of the Aenigma to find a place to cool off... You'd think the deeper that it got, the cooler it would be, and I'm really hoping that will be the case... It's cooler in the dark of the depths below! 

This time, the dark held a beauty of epic Mer-Octo proportions. She's a little attached to the Octopus and Jellyfish she keeps as friends, they leave marks all over her skin, and she likes it that way... 

I honestly have been having bloggers block lately, but THIS has to be one of my favouritest pictures that I've created in a long time. I LOVE the colours, the atmosphere, and the general feeling of this outfit. 

I took to the depths in the Lost Unicorn Forest - I always feel myself drawn to this location whenever I'm doing something fairy or mermaidy hehe - and it seemed to be the perfect place in the mermaid caves to bring a little more of the Aenigma event items to life. Her face and skin markings - aren't these GORGEOUS?! - are from LILITHIUM and come in a collection of different colour combinations - she's chowing down on some fishies and only the bones remain - from Salem the "Skelly Fish" - and now that she's had her lunch, she's grabbed a book of "The Little Nightmare" that's filled with stories of The White Crow and the Octopus from the deep.

Coulrophobic Love

As it's still the month of Love, and as I haven't done anything a little creepy for a while, I think it's now time for me to do something along that theme... Lovely Creepy LOL... I added some more clownishness to it, by putting on this awesome gas mask from Clemmm and katat0nik. I added an adorable top from MuggleBorn. At the Circus in the Ironwood Hills, the little Rudh clown gives her CURELESS Valentine's Heart to Yoyo the clown... He wanted her real heart...

The Season of the Witch has started and there are lots and lots of pretty things for us to get our hands on... Not Witches as in the classic Halloween style witch - the kind that was made popular in things like The Wizard of Oz with the green and the warts and the cooking children for dinner - but as the official details on the website state "The theme id dark bohemia, influenced heavily by witchcraft/paganism, the occult and mix in a dash of 1970's glam rock & roll attitude!"
I was excited - although I had been a little disappointed in the beginning, but that's not a story that needs to be discussed here - and I couldn't wait to check it out, especially seeing what Oubliette and Violetility had to share!!  

During the Witching Hour this Season, our adventurous little pretty witch decided it was time to try to get into a new line of work... 
She grabbed her Spell Book - the elephante poses "I put a spell on you #7" - and her magic wand and headed for the pumpkin patch at Andruil to practice... She was going to take the job of the Fairy Godmother, and since the whole Cinderella trick, wannabe princesses everywhere were demanding carriages made of vegetables!
Anyway as for the outfit that she's wearing, which inspired the pretty witch to go and practice... The Dress and Necklace were the reasons for this look today... The Dress is one called Vega from Oubliette, worn in a Gold Colour -although it was hard to choose between this and the other four colour options so good luck with making your choice - and I added the Violetility Necklace which has 12 different stone colour options as well as colour options for metals too... Both of these things are available at The Season of the Witch event which runs until November 4th.

Bad Wolf

I'm at the end of my fuse with someone in RL and so I am trying to remain calm and keep my cool. This person is my boss. If I lose my head and tell him how I really feel then I will lose my job... I need to funnel my frustrations into something productive, so if you see me looking more dead than I have for a while you can understand why... Starting from today, the dead girl in me may be more predominant than she has been of late! 
I put on a random collection of things and loved how they looked... Perhaps it will be a new profile picture, I'm not sure... But I loved it and had to share, just to vent some of my frustrated energy... 

What started out as me playing with the amazing "Curse of Cain" wound from CURELESS - available until June 18th at SaNaRae by the way - somehow saw me thinking that a hood with Kitten ears was a good idea to go along with it?! 
Then while on the subject of CURELESS, I wrapped some of their Barbed Wire around my head, and held it down with my Creepy Ghoul Teeth - from Axix. Never fear though I didn't through away my straight pretty teeth, I'm wearing those around my neck thanks to the Baroness Necklaces from random.Matter. 
I guess when I step back and look at it, I may have been channelling some kind of bad wolf?! A pissed off demonic wolf that got caught in barbed wire in the woods maybe? 
It feels a little better now that I've been creative, but dammit I have more to come lol...

Horror Haute Fashion Catalogue Style LOL...

Horror Haute is here again, and this time the theme is kinda close for the theme of the entire month of February... This time we are looking at the Dark Duets - romance within the dark, macabre and sometimes horrific genre that we all love. 
NOW before I go on with my post today I want to admit something. Right now I feel like I have been run over by a truck. My hubby - the one that I truly share my life in a Dark Duet with - has actually given me his "man flu" and I am barely hanging on... 
There will be more to come but I think for the first time ever in the history that I have been blogging Horror Haute, my look at the offered goodies is more of a fashionista style than anything I could have done otherwise... I actually quite enjoyed doing it this way, I blame it on the set of poses that are available but I will talk about those in more detail later... For now, enjoy my Horror Haute fashion run down hehe... 

From left to right we go then, and onto talking about my first look of four... 
This Dark Duet based outfit has a touch of the Romeo and Juliet... A classic Dark Duet from the great Mr William Shakespeare... This cute cami from Seddy's Creations with it's R&J icon print on the front is actually super cute... From the back - a view I didn't share I'm sorry - the straps come together and down the back attached to the shirt with a heart!! I added some Non-Horror Haute, but still worth getting your hands on, vinyl abstract leggings from [ abrasive ] and a little Cute Poison Spooky necklace, but then to complete the first of four fashionish looks I added the cute, but in true Horror Haute interesting looking Tasty Pudding Mina High Heels!!! 
My second outfit was a little simpler... Based on Miss Firefly - though I will be honest I am not entirely sure where that comes from or what it is - this outfit is the female look from SongBird for the Dark Duet theme. As you may well have guessed there is a Mr Firefly version too!!! I decided to add just a touch more blood, using a pretty kit from Ama. and as a finishing touch a little nod to my girlie side with a Lost Junction collar I bought recently in bright electric colours called Berlioz. 

Next comes what is possibly my most fantasy style outfit for this round... That being said there may be more to come but for now let's say this is my most fantasy based look... It features two very gorgeous Horror Haute items!! The dress is part of a Dark Duet - one of my favourites in fact - from a little movie called The Corpse Bride. Based on the style of Miss Victoria Everglot, the Crushed Violets dress would look awesome when teamed with someone wearing the Victor Vandoort male outfit!! As I didn't have a Victor, I decided to dress things up a little, adding the ImmateriA Dark Masquerade Poulpe Cloak and Collar, though there is more to come from this outfit later LOL, I think! Then for just a little touch of flair, I pulled on a bracer from an Axix set - which you can find at The Fantasy Collective - and a tiara that was a past Witching Hour release from [TfAtN]. 
Lastly and by no means least, the relaxed "going to work" look lol... This started all because of the Stargazer Creations release... The Bates Motel Staff shirt was something that I couldn't ignore... I was going to wear it no matter what LOL... So I made it a comfortable work uniform, adding a pair of rather clean and girlie jeans from Soul Designs, and some cute accessories too!!!  
Before I wrap up this post though there is just one more thing that needs an honourable mention... Dimma Poses! She loves RP, so don't 'shrug' her off just yet!!!

LOL sometimes I make myself seem like such a muppet... Thinking up post titles is HARD sometimes *facepalms* Still at least it caught your attention right?! 
I've been able to play around with my wardrobe so much as of late, part of me has been wondering why things are so quiet, and then a bigger part of me is like HELL YES I am free to do what I want... Part of that has been to get very excited because Horrorfestive is coming, another part is actually having the time to work on some blogger managerial stuff for Horror Haute but the rest of the time has been all about my clothes hehe!!!!

I guess you might well say that this is another look of the day, even though I've always sworn in the past that I don't make posts like that LOL... Yet here I am... Doing something similar LOL... 
I love this outfit though, so it's worthy of that. The whole look started due to the brand new yumyums Winter Shrugs - that are available now at We <3 RP - I chose a simple dark one, but the Christmas style set are also very cute... Perfect for keeping warm at this time of year! Unless you're me of course, and you choose to wear it with something that barely covers your nungas! I teamed my snuggly warm shrug with this Tank Top and Bra set from EMPORIUM - a little bit of Eddie Maiden perhaps LOL - and then pulled on these awesome Fiona Boots, also from EMPORIUM, over my jeans to give me that Geek Chic look hehe... 
To finish me off I accessorised my cute, short hair with some military styled glasses from Axix. I've had these for a long while, but I rarely get them out LOL... I should wear them more, they are cute, a little broken but still cute enough to use hehe... 
It's probably not the world's best look of the day, but I LOVE IT lol...

Flowers Make Me Smile!!!!!

This one is going to break us in gently LOL... It's also the first of a set, but has NOTHING to do with the event that I am about to start talking about in the next few days... Horror Haute is coming, and this photo will give you a subtle - or maybe not so subtle hint as to what this month's theme is!
Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE Autumn, but there is one thing that I will admit I miss just a little at this time of year and that would be flowers! I miss the crazy colours of flowers when I am outside, and so luckily SL is a place I can fill with flowers that won't die - I have a tendency to kill potted indoor plants, ask Hell - and thus get my flower fix!

Now I can also admit that my SL inventory is a bit of a hoard but sometimes I buy things and then keep them until I need them... The headdress in this photo is a prime example of that!
I bought the Axix Macabria Hair Band from the Bloody Horror Fair back in October. At the time I'd had trouble with it as the textures were messed up, but after some super fast and great customer service, the issue was sorted. Then I just put the hairband away and kept it for a rainy day, so to speak... It seemed to fit just perfectly with the horns that came as part of the Neria hairstyle from Truth too... I was positively giddy with excitement hehe...
Like I said, this will give a little hint to what is coming for Horror Haute this month... None of this is Horror Haute related but there is a hint in there somewhere hehe...
