Bonnie Chaos at Midnight

I'm at that stage now, where I don't know what to do but I don't really want to do anything... Yes it is apparently just me going through the grieving process but right now I feel somewhat useless and nothing I seem to try is working... I can't get into reading, knitting, decorating in RL or SL, and blogging therapy seems to be a non-starter too... There are so many fun things I could be doing... What am I doing? Doom-scrolling and staring into space... Everything I try seems to be going wrong!!

I NEED to find a way to turn my brain off, to stop myself from wallowing and yes, allow myself to grieve but allow myself to find strength and start finding my "normal" again... I'm dreading it!
Everything seems to be going wrong or turning to chaos and I'm NOT going to let myself drown in that... Think of the chaos that some people go through, real or imagined and things don't look so bad, I guess... 
I NEED a RL distraction for a bit... Something Dark, Mysterious and set in a Midnight Order perhaps... Something with gangsters and molls, something twisted and chaotic...

Toxicity in the Engine Room

I am a few days late but the Engine Room has opened it's doors into the world of Second Life and there are lots of amazing things in the treasure trove to be discovered, as well as so many interesting new characters to meet... I cannot wait to meet them all, the rag-tag bunch of Steampunkish, colourful characters are bursting through the doors of this event and introducing us all to the magic of the Engine Room... 

The first of the crazy beings that we see through the doors of the Engine Room is the metalized Machina NOVA - named for the outfit she's wearing from Madame Noir, and the skin at the skin set from SOMEONE, both of which are available at Second Life Syndicate's Engine Room - with the toxic touch - thanks to the DeadBoy, also at Engine Room - who is the controller of the Time Spinner - by Static - that she wears proudly as her halo... 
This magical being can be found hiding out in the sewers - a backdrop from Dirty Rat by the way - of Second Life whilst the event is open, and she will be creating and providing the grid with lots of fresh toxic waste, brewed up in her Industrial Alembic - from MoonSha - for the best power to run the grid...

Crows in September

Bloomin' eck, it's almost the end of September... Where the heck is the year going? It's almost the best month of  the year, although December with all it's sparkles and March being my birthday month come a very close second and third... Halloween season is ALMOST upon us... Although is it just me or are the shops going crazy? Here in the NL it's like Halloween was out for about a week, then Sinterklaas and Christmas started before September ended... Don't wake Green Day, they won't wanna see that chaos... 

I am LOVING the change in the weather, that cold air and still warm gentle sunshine is just gorgeous... I am NEVER going to be a Summer girl but when the air gets crisp and cold... BRING IT ON!!!
Plus the fact that Halloween is coming, my little Living Dead Girl inside is screaming, and I have costumes lined up by the mile... I AM SO ready for this Halloween!!! I just have to remember that I have tonnes of other shit that both I and HellBone need to do too LOL... I'm just trying to make sure that if I don't remember, my little crows - from MishMish -  know what to do, and remind me to do it LOL...

Magic Beyond the Mirror!

I feel like I needed a little magic in my life today and whilst I was still waking up, I had a notecard come through that one of my bucket list stores had accepted me into their blogger team... I was elated and it's the magic I needed... I feel like I woke up from a slumber and the sparkling light allowed me to break free into the magical depths of my mind where the deepest and best magic resides... 

While tidying up some of the mess in my inventory, to distract myself from my mind, I found myself in a Forgotton Room - which is actually a backdrop from Dirty Rat - looking into a beautiful old mirror that without even the touch of a breath very quickly became a Broken Mirror - a gorgeous item from Moon Amore - that pulled me through it's broken glass to another world full of light and magic...

Twenty Thousand Leagues

What happens on a day like today when my mind is allowed to wander but I can't seem to find myself creating another weird and wonderful fae creation... I got a major case of being stuck today... I was in a rut, couldn't think what I wanted to do and for the life of me things were going no where... I WAS CONFUSED... Then I had a momentary brain fart, remembered that I'm in the blogger team for the epic, somewhat steampunkish themed Engine Room and TADAAAAAA my mind went into overdrive... 
Dreams of travelling with and working alongside some of the most interesting fantasy names in literary history, I didn't think it would ever happen... I loved studying his achievements, but when I was offered a trip Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, to the office of one Captain Nemo... I jumped at the chance... 

It's a brilliant sci-fi novel by the great Jules Verne, and is a great adventure that takes place on board the Nautilus Submarine of Captain Nemo. They discover all kinds of crazy things and even though it's a bit science fiction for my normal tastes, it's a story that should never be missed. 
So now that I'm able to check around Nemo's Study - which happens to be a backdrop from LORE for the Engine Room - there is so much to see... He's using a Mind's Analizer to read his rat's mind, he's got some weird Neoflora - from Blue Blood - mechanical flower things growing in an old Mermaid Tank - from Dirty Rat - and everything seems to be electrified... 
I'd had to make sure I fit into his weird little steampunk world... Luckily, I'd had the chance to shop at the Engine Room before I made my way under the sea...

Time for a Little Detecting...

Is it just me, or is it crazy that we're already at the end of February?! I mean I know that it's a short month, but seriously WHAT THE HELL, how can we already be about to enter our third month and therefore ending our first quarter of the year... It's serously getting to the point of blink and you miss it... 

It's time we opened up our eyes and did some thorough investigating into where the hell the year has gone? There has been so much going on this year that things are whizzing by faster and faster... I think I'd make a great detective, I mean I've watched enough of those cheesy detective shows. I think though I'd be a little more Murder She Wrote/Miss Marple than some CSI/Law & Order style detective... I don't think I could handle the true danger of being a cop in a big city, I'm way too mucch of a wuss... I'd also have to leave my cute puppy friend at home...

The Most Magical Library

Tomorrow is my day off... I'm going to spend it reading a book and avoiding being an adult for a while - if you can over look the fact that my reading material would not be considered anything but adult - and I want to head to that magical place where the books are more magical than this crazy life I'm stuck in... I dislike RL people so much at the moment... 

If you need book recommendations then I'm definitely an advocate for Goodreads, and if Goodreads was personified she'd be the most magical of librarians...

A Monday Morning Meeting!

Monday morning, the start of the working week... It's time to get busy, but I HAVE JUST BOOKED ANOTHER TRIP TO SEE MY PARENTS AND I AM SO EXCITED... Sorry back to the working week, I work in retail but many people are heading back to the office and into their corportate lives... 
I'm glad that I don't have to, I have no desire to be in a boardroom hosting meetings that no one wants to be in...

The last time I did a presentation for anything was when I had to share the year plan for our store at the end of my management training course... At that time I felt so sick but that was mostly just nerves I guess... The people in the meeting knew SO MUCH more about things than I did, but that was kinda lucky really... I'd hate to be one of those people presenting a meeting to people that are scratching their heads or even taking the time to eat their lunch while I ramble on, just like the Opossums - from Aardvark at  that were so over it in Rudh's meeting today... 
All I can say is he'd better save me one of those Heart Sanwiches - from Junk Food - once I'm done with this meeting in this boring meeting in the Executive Loft - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis by the way...

My Own Roaring 1920s!

Sometimes I do a little random. Sometimes I do things that get lost of the realms of high fantasy. Sometimes I do things that are a litte more grounded in realism, although those things my be based on stories of their own too... No matter what I do it's always done with love and happiness and it makes me smile to do whatever I feel like... Today I went with a story from someone else's mind, and an event theme that was a little outside my usual ball park... 

Normally I feel more like I should avoid anything Art Deco, but when the Anthem line-up was announced to be Great Gatesby themed ca me intrigued. I more often than not vere towards designs that are more Art Nouveau, than Art Deco - they are easy to tell apart Art Nouveau looks like it's been made by the elves, Art Deco is more harsh lines and bold prints and looks more like it's been made by the dwarves - but this was interesting, and even though I'm not really a Great Gatesby fan, I kinda liked what I did!!! 
Come take a trip with me to the Voyeur Rooms - the keychain is older but still awesome from Krescendo - and grab yourself a glass of Champagne - from Junk Food - at the 1920's fanciest hotel...

Plans for the Engine Room

There are so many things to enjoy about this time of year that it's almost enough for me to forget my RL illness issues and focus on things that are much more fun... Shopping events in SL are getting exciting, we have grunge events, halloween goodies are coming and the Engine Room will be opening the doors to welcome in those seeking their steampunkish answers...

Opening of the Engine Room always brings in many interesting people, those people gather together to discuss the newest innoventions and Steampunkish creations, and once the event has gathered all of those peope together, Magic will happen... 
Rudh has been prepping for the opening of the Engine Room for a while, practising her science speak, laying out plans and discussing them with her collection of Cats - like the gorgeous kitties from JIAN - all the while trying to look like a Steampunkish science type...

A Library of Magical Grimoires!

Let's get magical, magical... Let's get magical... Yes I sang that as I typed it to the theme of Madonna's "Let's Get Physical", but even though I've been feeling terrible lately there's always room for a little magic in me... 
While the Midnight Order is open, the magic seems to flow more freely... Since I'm feeling so horrible, the darkness in me seems to be winning... 

Since I'm sick I'm spending a lot of time reading, and therefore had to make a quick trip to the Library - an old but brilliant backdrop from Dirty Rat - but whilst I was there, I discovered the Goddess Scepter hidden among the bookstacks. As soon as my hand gripped the golden rod, books started flying from the sheves, and Ocular Lightning flashed from her eyes... The books swirling on the magic of the moment, a pair of Creature Grimoires - a gorgeous release from Aardvark - making sure I took notice, I wonder what they contain... Looks like I've found my next reads...

A Raven's Rest for Feathered Familiars

The Midnight Order is a location that magically appears and disappears, a secret society that appears twice a year that brings together the mysterious folk in a community that share their secrets and their wares in a monumentous event full of wonder and even a little music... 

Visitors to the Midnight Order come from miles around, crossing the globe through their virtual time and space variations. Many languagues, cultures and histories brought together, all with alittle curiosity and magic and just a hint of the steampunk to blend everything together... 
I decided to visit the Raven's Rest - a beautiful backdrop from Quills & Curiosities - along with my sweet little magpie Feathered Familiars - also from Quills & Curiosities, but this release is an exclusive for the curren tround of Midnight Order - to find out if the information that I needed for the latest devious little scheme of mine could be found in one of their many books... I may have actually had a stroke of luck and found exactly what I needed within the pages of the Encyclopedia of Corrupted Thoughts - thank you Cabalpier - and should now be able to go ahead with my diabolical plan...

Lights on at the Engine Room

It's definitely feeling a lot more like Autumn in my part of the world, which is really bringing me HUGE amounts of happiness... It's a time to start snuggling up, cozying in and turning the lights on early... 
When discussing the turning on of the lights though, it has come to the attention of MANY of Second Life's weird and wonderful residents that the lights have been turned on within the Engine Room, and the doors are now officially open once more... The lights are on, everyone is welcome and we're all going to have fun when we're inside... 

There are so many nooks and crannies within the halls of the Engine Room, but for our first visit today we're heading downstairs to the Bunker Basement - a backdrop from K&S - where the electricity boxes are, and where if we're lucky we might get to meet one of Second Life's shyest residents... She's a creation that was spawned by the great Frankenstein and his collaboration with a certain scientist by the name of Edison, marked with a tattoo on her rust tainted skin - a skin and tattoo from Fallen Gods Inc, available until October 20th at Engine Room - Edison gave her a part of his greatest invention. She wears a Bulb Bouquet - made by CABALPIER also at Engine Room - on her back, to lighten even the darkest corners of her Second Life...

The Magic of a Library

I had planned to work on this post two days ago now, and when it didnt work on the last day of January I thought I'd get to it yesterday. My body defied that plan... I had the worst migraine of my life, and almost wished that I was dead just to stop the pain. I didn't want to think, I didn't want to do anything and I couldn't even if I had tried... 
Today though I feel so much better, my brain is alive and have finally got a clear head. I feel so much better now that allowing my brain to slip into a fantasy world while I read a good book is possible now that my head is free and not pulsing with neon auras that make everything spin... I am ready to jump into the fantasy head first... 

On days like today, when I decided that I needed to get myself into the books I had to find the perfect thing to read... I had to head to the Midnight Order's Library - an amazing backdrop released by Dirty Rat for the Midnight Order event that runs until February 20th - to find the perfect book. Once I entered the chamber though, things looked more than a little magical. As I walked further into the floor, the floorboards seemed to be disappearing, books were swirling around being dragged into the most magical of rainbow vortexes... Sparkles luring me in, making me want to dive on in to the stories that were flowing from the pages of these amazing books...

Memories on the Screen

Our brain is such a powerful tool, it makes the world's super computers look like amateurs, and even the most useless of people are brilliantly clever if they really put their mind to it! They run our bodies and keep us alive, they keep skills held tight so they can be used any time they are needed, and they hold on to so many of our wonderful memories as well as those things that we wish to forget, our secrets, our hopes and our fears... We can call on them when we need them, some come to the front of our minds unbidden, and others are locked up tight... 
If we had a machine that could tap into our memories, I wonder what we'd discover... 

I think if we had a machine that could share our thoughts it could be either really great - a way to help us clear our minds of the bad things - or really terribly - if things are used against us... Imagine if someone got hold of our innermost secrets?!!! 
I'd hope that if someone has seen memories in my head, they will only find the happy things. Memories of my childhood days, reminders of my favourite toys. There are so many that spring to mind at times, things I'd forgotten, things that may no longer exist... 
Whilst I don't have a machine, I will admit that I DO have a lot of toys, lots of them to remind me of my youthful days. Once the machine has found the image, it could be printed out and everyone can take a closer look at all my lovely toys... Things like my AMAZING Rocking Horsey - from Ananas at the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - or my beautiful dolls, but you have to be careful, there is one that is a little more lively than the others... Watch out for the Pistachio Puppet - from tardfish at Enchantment - he's not as cute as he looks, he's very stabby... 
Now as the image on the screen of the picture in my mind is small, luckily the print outs are a little bigger and give you a proper close-up...
