A Little Cross Stitch

I know everyone has their favouritest of hobbies... For me taking pictures and blogging my Second Life randomness is definitely one of them, but this year I've become an avid reader AND have been working hard on crocheting my new blanket that should be finished before long.... I'm not the world's best blogging photographer, or the world's fastest reasder, and my crocheting skills are minimal even though I can still make cute things, but for me having these past-times is a way to switch off and distract myself from the bleh of reality... 

This year I've been trying to improve my photography skills, and am happy with the job that I'm doing so far... 
I decided that I wanted to read more and therefore have less time looking at a screen, and I'm almost at my 45 book challenge on Good Reads... I think I'll definitely be passing that and testing to see what I will need to set my challenge at for next year...
I've also gotten heavily into crocheting... I've been doing it for years but this year I'm making a blanket and it's ALMOST ready... Maybe while I'm on a wool work kick I might start doing some cross stitch... If I do I promise it's "Not Your Granny's Cross Stitch" - like the set from Aardvark, that is currently available until September 13th at the FLF Birthday Bash - I'm going to look into patterns that are anything but dull...

Perfect Place to buy Produce

I'm staying at the farm today, I loved it so much yesterday that I couldn't resist spending another day enjoying the early Autumn sunshine with a bike ride around the farm and a quick stop to get something delicious for dinner... I even made myself an adorable new friend... 

At the Mystic Pumpkin Patch farm - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis for this weekend's Kinky 69 Weekend Sale - it was a lovely day to get on a bicycle and ride in the sun. My new little Golden Labrador Puppy Pal - from Jian, wearing his super cute Fall Banadana that's available for today's round of Fifty Linden Friday - running along side me, and happy to have a biscuit as I stopped at the Market Stall - from Junk Food - that they have set on the farm to sell their produce.

Memories on the Screen

Our brain is such a powerful tool, it makes the world's super computers look like amateurs, and even the most useless of people are brilliantly clever if they really put their mind to it! They run our bodies and keep us alive, they keep skills held tight so they can be used any time they are needed, and they hold on to so many of our wonderful memories as well as those things that we wish to forget, our secrets, our hopes and our fears... We can call on them when we need them, some come to the front of our minds unbidden, and others are locked up tight... 
If we had a machine that could tap into our memories, I wonder what we'd discover... 

I think if we had a machine that could share our thoughts it could be either really great - a way to help us clear our minds of the bad things - or really terribly - if things are used against us... Imagine if someone got hold of our innermost secrets?!!! 
I'd hope that if someone has seen memories in my head, they will only find the happy things. Memories of my childhood days, reminders of my favourite toys. There are so many that spring to mind at times, things I'd forgotten, things that may no longer exist... 
Whilst I don't have a machine, I will admit that I DO have a lot of toys, lots of them to remind me of my youthful days. Once the machine has found the image, it could be printed out and everyone can take a closer look at all my lovely toys... Things like my AMAZING Rocking Horsey - from Ananas at the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - or my beautiful dolls, but you have to be careful, there is one that is a little more lively than the others... Watch out for the Pistachio Puppet - from tardfish at Enchantment - he's not as cute as he looks, he's very stabby... 
Now as the image on the screen of the picture in my mind is small, luckily the print outs are a little bigger and give you a proper close-up...

Quality Control at the Love Factory

Sometimes I let my naughty side out to play, I don't tend to plan things but wheen they come up then I cannot stop them as the ball gets rolling and it's snowballing before I know it... 
Things have been so busy lately that the workplace floor is somewhat forgotten, but that is where the work takes place and that is where the Quality Control checks take place... The Quality Control is carried out on all manner of things, by the Cyberbots... 

They are willing to test EVRYTHING, including the machine that makes the most amazing array of toys. The Love Factory - a brilliant machine from LEMME that's available for the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - makes fuck toys, it's just one department in the quality control department. Since, they are here for quality control, the Cyberbots are all expected to test the merchandise and record their findings via the Cam Girl - a pose and prop from Extra - app with the big bosses. I think they will e pleased with the findings...

Rock Angels and the Escalator to Heaven

Home after work, relaxing on the sofa after a bowl full of dinner and feeling myself dozing in and out of sleep. I haven't been sleeping well since the heat and having stomach pain, but it's finally cooling down a little and so I'm enjoying some peace on the couch. 
While my mind drifts in and out of snoozeville, I could hear some music in the background but it was only as I closed my eyes and noticed that a twisted little angellic version of Rudh was showing me the latest upgrades to the stairway to heaven... It's been modernized, it's an escalator now... 

Not sure that the Led Zepellin song would have quite the same ring to it if it was an escalator to heaven - like the backdrop from FOXCITY - although you can't really blame them for updating since everything is modernizing these days... 
Everything is modernizing and becoming more accepting, even the angels are upgraded and allowed to style themselves... Rudh as an angel is mixing her styles together, pretty sparkles like the beautiful sparkles - from random.Matter - around her neck and in her ears. She's gone a little rock chick with the most brilliant make up of Enchantment proportions - a gorgeous welcome back release from Bella Elephante at Enchantment, worn with a set of lipstick called Ember - and spiked her Galaxy Halo - from Salem's Lot - that perfectly matches her Seraph Wings - from Paper Antler. 
Heaven's had a make-over, colours are in, white is out. The Rock Angels are taking over...

Smoke Break Time!

Saturday Evening, A super awesome evening that pre-Covid I'd have very much enjoyed as a night out. During the pandemic, I, like many others spent far too much time in my pjs, lazing around on the couch with a good book or my favourite friends on the tv shows that I've been watching... The thought of going for a night out will sometimes fill me with the shivers LOL, it's totally different in SL however...

Taking a moment for a breath of fresh air, outside the club on the Shinjuku Street - a backdrop from Paleto - but rather than just take a breath of the fresh air, Rudh lit up a cigarette in her elegant Verona Telescopic Cigarette Holder - from random.Matter. It's been such a long time now since I quit smoking, but finally it doesn't seem strange to see Rudh smoking lol...

In Search of the Cure...

 I'm still feeling totally yucky, and I've been trying hard to keep myself happy... I've got such a cold, and I forgot how crappy they can make you feel... Covid had been a distraction, keeping everyone covered in their masks and avoiding too much contact, yet as soon as the borders opened and the tourists began coming back, I caught my first cold... 
Now it's going to sound silly, but since the Covid vaccine was discovered so quickly, I'm wondering if now it's time to find the magical cure for the common cold... 

Rudh and her Space Kit friends - from Foxwood - travelled through many magical realms and finally came into the Vaporwave before they finally discovered the "T-Virus" antidote, bottled by the Boutique #187... 
Kitty grabbed the cannister that contained the virus and we gathered together so that we could magically teleport home... Maybe they can use this to find the cure!!

An Offering from the Tooth Fairy

There are many stories that children are told to inspire their imaginations and the belief in magic... Santa, the Easter Bunny and fairy stories were abundant in my childhood and I still, even now, have a lot of love for them all - even though I know at least two of three were down to my parents - but the tooth fairy was always one that got me frustrated... No matter how many teeth I lost,  I'd never been able to catch a glimpse of that pesky toothfairy... I'd always had a novel idea that I was going to catch her and demand an increase in teeth payments lol... 

Rudh is the cheekiest kinds of toothfairy... She's a little bit dark and depraved, but she's even willing to steal the teeth of the dead. Ripping the teeth from the Zombie Corpses that she discovers just laying around! 
Funny to think thought that this look all started because I bought the most amazing necklace from AsteroidBox at the Backyard Birthday Bash - a celebration for Fifty Linden Friday's Birthday - and it's decorative teeth were the root cause of this prettiness today...

Hearts Full Of Tainted Love...

February is almost upon us, and that means the return of that little cupid monster... I know I said it before but I will no doubt say it again too before the month is out, but I hate that little dude lol... It´s funny how we have an expression like `Bah Humbug`for Christmas but Mr.Dickens never thought to share some of his thoughts on the love monster... 
Still there's sure to be lots of hearts and stuff out there, even for an anti-valentine like me... I mean Necrosis has just opened it's dark, macabre little cemetery gates and the hearts have come pouring out, drowning us in "Tainted Love"...

Now the "Tainted Love" song is stuck in my head, and I'm surrounded by swirling hearts... They glow neon colours in the dark - thanks to these amazing Pixel Hearts from Beauty of Darkness at Necrosis - but even here that little cupid monster managed to find me.. He shot me through the head with one of his arrows - thanks to the Fifty Linden Friday release from Caboodle - and I started to see those little candy love hearts cirling around my head, as well as up close... VERY CLOSE, especially in my left eye, luckily I go to have a Bloody Valentine - isn't this G.I.N Bloody Valentine awesome gotta love that they released this at Necrosis...

Roller Disco Baby!

I've been covering the night shift at work now for some time, a couple of days a week... It's not a lot but it's enough to make me feel like a zombie the next day - which OK shouldn't be any different than normal for me but it feels much much worse when it's RL lol - although I learnt this week that it will come to an end and next week life goes back to normal. 
This means Rudh thinks that she can go out and party again... WOOT WOOT party time... Well that is until I fall asleep at the keyboard LOL... For now I'll let her enjoy herself just a little, at the Totally 80's club and roller disco!!! 

Posing like she was "Born to Roll" - thanks to a pose set released by NANTRA at the just past round of The Liaison Collaborative, and yes there is a new round I KNOW I'm a bit late with this one - but I still couldn't resist the pose and they will appear in the mainstore soon I'm sure! 
Now it sounds weird to admit but I put this outfit together because of this dark but gorgeous shade of lipstick that is part of the MM Full Lip Collection from Zombie Suicide - one of 9 different colour options for FULL sexy lips!!!
Once I had the lipstick though I needed to find things to wear with it that worked LOL... Starting from a lipstick is a crazy way of doing it but anyway... I remembered this amazeballs dress from Razor, that I picked up at the Day of the Dead event recently, and it seemed to work perfectly together with a Hazel wig from Wasabi Pills - which was a past FLF special colour release - and some pastel sunglasses from Suicidal Unborn... 
I was ready to roll around that Disco and strut my funky stuff!!!

Fuckboy Repellent, for when you just wanna dance!

It's Friday, It's Friday... YAY the weekend is finally here and we can get on with the fun stuff that should be taking place over the weekend! Thank goodness for the weekend, when all we need to do is things that we want to do, for ourselves! 
This weekend I plan on doing some relaxing, working on some of my inventory - since I can't make too much noise while HellBone is catching up on some sleep - and maybe if I'm really good, finding the time to take some pictures... 
Today though it's Friday and I plan on doing something different, maybe I'll go out dancing, to a club like The Rabbit Hole, for a change?! I'm well protected now, since I have my very special Fuckboy Repellent! 

One of the most fun events in SL - in my opinion at least - is still Fifty Linden Friday. I love that it's kept things priced low, as other events that used to be cheaper places to shop have slowly seen an increase in prices, but not only is it cheap, you can sometimes find some awesome gems in the collection of items that are released. 
One of the gems released this week is available at Cosmic Dust. It's a pair of bottles - one for use, one for display - of Fuckboy Repellent. Just hold the bottle, type a command in local chat, and voilá the fuck boys are kept at bay, and out of your way. Meaning that the only thing a girl has to worry about on a night out is, "what the heck should I wear?"

The cure for a broken heart is a Tea Party!

Sticking with a theme of all things dead and therefore a little bit dark and macabre for now, as it really seems to fit well with the mood that I am in too... I LOVE this time of year, I can be my zombiefied self and no one even blinks an eyelid because "Hey it's nearly Halloween" LOL...
I've created many stories for myself as characters that I have been through the years of SL - all 9 of them - and although I enjoyed being a Fae and then a Vampire - not the bloodlines kind I will point out, I was a vampire before all that started and stopped once it did LOL - that being a Zombie has been the most fun. I love telling people that I am going to be dead for the day, the reactions make me laugh, and I am lucky that it hasn't offended anyone yet, but at this time of year I enjoy nothing more than letting myself relax and enjoying a little party... Cake anyone?

The location of my party is Deadman's Island Haunted Sim... I was super excited to find this place, and will no doubt be using it as a location as many times as possible, just in case it's only there for the season!! When I arrived the Halloween Haunted Tea Party was already set out - laid out by the creative mind behind Boudoir - and it even had the most amazing table decoration, I wonder what his name was?!
My outfit was one of those that I had on and loved, I guess you could say it was a look of the day - although in reality it was more like 5 days! - and it was something that I bought on the spur of the moment, it's not entirely my normal style...
The AMITOMO Shirts Under Dress dress was one that I picked up at the latest round of Chapter Four. It was sooooo busy when I went in that trying a demo seemed like hard work, so I took a chance and my luck paid off... I picked up a gorgeous little dress that I love.
I also grabbed a new Doe Wig when I was out shopping recently, this time at The Seasons Story however... The Gretchen wig is SO CUTE and it works perfectly with the cute dress, but it's not the only change to a body part. If you look closely you might also see that I am a little paler than normal, there is a reason for this, and it's not just a trick of the light. Last Friday, Glam Affair released the Sia Ghost Skins for Fifty Linden Friday, and I had to have them even if it did mean I had to buy Polar tone appliers at a cost of almost three times more than the skins themselves! They will definitely become my new Halloween Tone for October, but never fear I will tan just a little more after the spooky month is over!
