I had the day off again today, and I won't for a few days in a row now so I've been busy doing a little blogging prep and I'm excited about what has been happening in the blogging world of Rudh today... It's been nice to just turn offmy brain and do something creative, considering the week I have coming LOL...

For The Matrix

The world we are living in right now seems like it's falling apart... I know that we all have our own problems in life but has anyone tried to turn off the world simulation that the minds behind the matrix are currently running and restart it again, because apparently somewhere the code isn't up to scratch?! Someone unplug themselves from the simulator please and check to see what is going on back there?

I know that the Engine Room is a steampunkish magical event and that steampunk outwardly does not look like it could hande something as futuristic as the control of the simulation that runs our daily lives, but you know what they say... Never judge a book by it's cover... Behind the hidden doors of the Engine Room runs some extremely powerful, hidden magic... Magic that could ensure the world runs as it should. I'm sure the mainframe of the Matrix is back there. I NEED to break through and find out if it can be restarted so we can get some peace?!

Midnight Order Militia

It's January 20th, and that means that today OFFICIALLY the Midnight Order is opening it's doors once again and welcoming the magical spark back into our Second Lives... There is so much going on in the world right now, and I think we need a little magic, a little spark that will make things seem a little better... There is so much going on in the world right now, and not just the wider world, my personal world is in chaos... I NEED to find a way to get myself some answers and calm my mind... I NEED someone to give me a little break... 

I am checking mysef into a cosy little place called Death Row for a while... It's not like the real place but it's a hotel that is themed and the bedrooms are supposed to be cozy, comfortable and padded... Asking for my Fortune

At the start of every year, people always seem to be asking me whether or not I've made any new years resolutions. Some years I try to, and others I tend not, but then this year I HAVE made one and it's a very loosely set one. It could be interpreted in lots of different ways, and I'm quite happy to keep it open and flexible... I'm going to put more faith in the fortune telling machines than any resolutions though...

Sing Your Heart Out!

I hate days that I have to do chores around the house, although tomorrow my parents are coming over for a visit for a few days and I am really looking forward to seeing them. It does mean that I have to get myself motivate myself to get things done... I've put the music on loud and I'll be dancing around as I'm cleaning up, singing along to the cheesy pop blasting from my speakers... 

I love music, I love it live and loud better... I know some people ove Karaoke bars, I've done Karaoke once and I really had fun but I don't think that I'd want to do it again. I remember being dressed as a Rocky Horror character and getting up on stage with some of my roommates to sing the Time Walk! I don't think I'd ever be abe to do it again, and definitely not on my own... I'm far too shy, but Rudh definitely wouldn't let that hold her back... 
She got dressed up for a night out, stepped up on stage and belted out far too many cheesy songs, that the poor guy manning the Karaoke machine was very close to pulling the plug...

Art imitates Life...

Spring is sprung, the grass is rizz, I wonder where the birdies is... A cute little poetic saying that my mum always used to say to me around this time of year when we reached the month of March and the world around us seemed to start gearing up for the Spring season. BEFORE ANYONE COMES AT ME, I know it's a no longer the way that the kids are using the word rizz but it's not the new use of the word I'm using here LOL... 

I am definitely an Autumn kinda girl. but if I had to pick another season I'd be saying I love Spring... I LOVE the colours and the vibrancy, I love the early Spring sun that's wraming on the skin but not full of burning Summer heat, I love the fact that March is one of the best month's of the year because it won't be long now until it's my BIRTHDAY!!!! Yes, I AM the Birthday princess this month... 
One of the things that I used to loved doing the most when I was younger was watching the nature as it carried on it's normal life... I used to be a bug lover, collecting them to observe and care for in our family garden. I always seemed to find them easier to keep alive in their little bug homes - like the Ladybug Habitat from Junk Food - than the adorably weird bug-like things in those uber trendy electronic pets that were the Tamagotchis - like the Gochi Mirrors from Krescendo... 
I also had the hobby of collecting stones from the beach when visiting my grandparents, to take home and paint into cute little bugs and other such patterns... I might have to start doing that again soon, it could be fun for the summer perhaps?!

Raise A Hand!

 In some parts of the world, the start of September marks the start of the return to school after the summer break... Here in Amsterdam the schools will be going back on Monday - at least the majority of schools - and I know for a fact that my colleagues with Children are looking forward to sending them into school and having a little more peace and quiet... 

I ALWAYS used to love going back to school. I was such a teachers pet, a total geek and always got a little excited to go shopping for school supplies. I'm still excited by buying stationary supplies and get a kick out of starting a new notebook LOL... I loved learning new things, I loved studying and was excited by a class project... That's why I'd always be one of the ones asking the most questions at school...
I'd often be the one in the classroom waving my hand in the air like "ooh ooh ooh pick me!" and I'm not ashamed to admit it... I would have loved a better way to be achknowledged, a neon sign or a siren, or even a HUGE hand - like the Giant Hand Slapper from Junk Food, that is available until September at the current round of The Fifty - to wave at the teacher and irritate them even more than I probably did...

Schools Out!

Today's the big day, here in the northern parts of the Netherlands, it's the day that schools finish for Summer... In the words of the great Alice Cooper... SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

Most everyone will be heading out to have a little fun in the sun, if it ever turns up this summer, but they are all about to leave school for a much needed break... Rudh on the other hand, because she's always been a bit of a bad girl, and somewhat of a rebel, she has been held back for another few weeks of summer school... School may be out for everyone, but Rudh is going to just make notes of all of the happiness and remember those who left her behind over Summer break...

Balance or Get Wet!

I dont really know what I'm doing today. Things have been slow, boring and I've had way too much time on my hands though for some reason I've not been able to focus and so my mind felt like I was walking on a balance beam... What the heck am I doing with myself? Why can't I enjoy a relaxing day off? 
I NEED to find something to distract myself...

I want colours, I want Summery - although I am definitely not an advocate for Summer - and I really don't know what more I want. I was putting things on, playing with colours, going through the things I'd gotten my hands on and suddenly I found the balancing I was doing on the beam shift to balancing on the cutest Skully Float - from Krescendo at Summerfest now...
I'm not good at balancing, the floatie kept moving under me... I am bound to slip off the floatie soon, and into the cool water of the pool...

Prepping for a Month of Wigs & Pride

Today is June 1st. There are things about today that need to be noticed... Today marks the fact that exactly 6 months from now we are on the slippery slope to Christmas. It's the month in which I finish the study I've had to participate in so that I can move up the working ladder. There are things in SL too... June 1st is the start of Pride Month and it's the opening day of the annual Hair Fair... Two massively important events that need to be celebrated in their own ways... 

Both of these events are for fantastic things... Both of these things need have awareness raised for them...
I'm always an advocate for Pride Month. I've had my experiences and enjoyed every moment of them, I don't tend to label myself but no matter what I'll always ben an ally for the cause. Some of my best, most favourite and most wonderful people identify themselves as being within the Gay community and I love the fact that the world has become a lot more free so that they are free to live their lives as they choose. 
On the subject of love, one of those charity events that I feel deserves a lot of love has started. The annual Hair Fair event has opened it's doors with bucket loads of linden dollars being donated to a cause that needs more attention. Wigs for Kids is the charity of choice, and if you've been following my blog at all over the years you'll know how much I ove this cause. A charity that creates wigs for children that have lost their hair be that because of illness or some other reason thereofre boosting their confidence and allowing them to feel stronger and more like they fit in... How can you not want to get behind something like that?! PLUS because it's a Hair based shopping event in SL that is not only raising awareness but also raising funds, you can get your pretty little bald head into some fancy new wigs as you donate to the cause.
So this is your early monthly warning, be prepared for lots of rainbows as I celebrate Pride, and lots of wigs as I enjoy Hair Fair...

The Sheep of Sleep

The weather keeps changing SO MUCH... Yesterday was over 25 degrees and today it's dropped down to half that, this weather rolling through the temperatures is messing with me and making me want to sleep forever and a day... 
Whilst I'm feeling a little magical, I'm definitely in the mood to let the sleepiness guide the magic and the sheep in our dreams that we count as they jump over the moon, take the lead... 

Normally it's the cows that jump over the moon, but there's nothing written anywhere that says the sheep we count night after night can't be jumping over the moon too?! This sleepy little sheep has decided that's what she will do, she's formulating a plan to jump over the moon and dance among the stars...

Crossing the Angel Bridge

It's been a few days since I was able to sit back and do a blog post, but I'm off for a few days now and therefore there could be time for some fun... I wanted to do something peaceful and relaxing, I closed my eyes and clicked a random folder in my new items folder and DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN Angel Wings it was... 

I had one of those amazing moments when an outfit came together very quickly, but in my mind the story unfolded... Leap into Spring

It's a magical day today, a day that comes around only once in 4 years, today is February 29th making it a Leap Year... As it's a magical day, I needed to get myself doing something magical... March is coming, and that means that Spring will SOON be making itself known... The magical fae folk are getting ready, talking to their animal friends and welcoming the flowers... 

The flowers are definitely blooming, springing up all over the garden under the blossoming trees outside this little fairies Witch Cottage - which is actually a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis with flowers from dust bunny and a gorgeous little cottage from Nomad. All of the spring life in this little garden will let the world know that, at least where I am, "better days" - a pose set from -Extra- at the Spring Fling that opens tomorrow - are coming.While I am most definitely an Autumn kinda girl, I cannot deny that I love Spring too, all the colours, the new life and the freshness... Hoops of Rainbow Colours

When life is dark and somewhat monotonous, it is at that moment we must try our hardest to find the sparkle and bring some light to our own boring day-to-day routine... There are so many ways that I LOVE to relax, unwind and recharge my rainbow sparkles. I am very much back into reading these days - smut and violence dark romances I admit, but it still gets me feeling good - I am crocheting a blanket of old scraps of wool and when I do get into Second Life, I'm currently on a creative wave - athough I'm not sure how long it will last...

It feels easier to let Rudh find our inner sparkle as there's always another personality lurking somewhere beneath the surface... Neon comes pouring out of her today and once it glows, she sparkles... Colours of the briliantly bright surroundings lighting up her skin. Sparkling Shit Happens

 It's cold and dark early these days... I'm exhausted and feeling like I'm just going through the motions... Things keep happening that are not totally wonderful and athough I get the odd spark of good news, all I want to do is slip into hibernation... 
I decided that now I'd be stepping out on a stage, dressed in neons, surrounded by neons and sparkling with a fake smile to act like I'm enjoying myself... BECAUSE well Shit Happens, so you just have to keep a smile on and try to get on with it...

Club Shit Happens, is definitely a place where anything can go on... I love dancing though, I don't care what it is or how I dance but when the music takes control it's easy to dance and let it distract me from the present bleh I'm in... 
Normally when things on my blog are dark and bleak, I'm at my happiest. I love being a fantasy pretty fae being, but tonight I'm hiding my feelings of being down in the dumps behind colours and sexiness... I'm going pole dancing...

Falling into a Dream

I've had a LOVELY lazy day... I don't get them very often at the moment considering how my work schedule has been and although the shop has been calming down, I don't think that I will be getting many more relaxing days for a little while yet... So whilst I've been relaxing, lazing and generally letting my mind wander, I'm lost to a perfect daydream... Wasting the day, spending it dreaming...

Dreams are such strange things... Some nights I can have a really deep sleep and dream of nothing, others I am so restless that the dreams are kinda vivid and make me wake up wondering what the heck I've done to cause the strangeness... There are very few days that I ever have the kind of dreams I want to have again and again, although those little fantasies are the ones I find myself falling asleep to... I am SO exhausted at the moment I tend to have no trouble falling asleep... 
As I'm falling asleep it feels a little like I'm falling down into a rabbit hole, just like Alice did into Wonderland... As I fall, the magic sparkles around me and so many weird, wonderful and pretty things float on by... Some adorable new friends, some amazing new furniture and the silliest new sets of eyes to watch my fall... I just hope there is something soft to land on and that it doesnt turn into one of those nasty dreams with a feeling of a surprise fall... Ugh how I hate those!!!!

Born in the 80s!

Doing some New Year Spring Cleaning... Starting with my RL house, and maybe little by little my SL inventory MAY get an overhaul, bear in mind though I said MAYBE and that's never a huge possibility. Whilst I'm sorting somethings out, doing a little organising, I've found some AMAZING things, that will help with distraction... 
First it was the 80s toys that I'd had from my very early years of life, then one of the cheesiest work-out videos and even my old walkman with some of the best classic rock tapes, BUT the best discovery was the brick that was one of the first cellphones... 

There are so many cool old toys, like the funkiest of toy trolls - from imbue - and the dancing Cool Can  - from NOMAD - but I think that the most excited thing happened to be the adorable little Gremlay who instantly decided to get crazy and join in the cheesy 80s workout that I'd managed to get working from a VHS tape on an old TV - from Junk Food at this month's round of Anthem until January 30th... 
Gotta love the cheesiness of the 80s, I was born in the 80s, but I'm really a child of the 90s since that's when I can actually remember things... Yet, I LOVE the reminders of my youth...

Convincing them to give me toys...

Tis a brand new year, and with that comes brand new expectations of myself and all the fun things that go along with the new start. I've been doing some pretty things, some wintery things and for now I've decided to do one of those naughty little things that always make me smile... 
It's about time I got myself a little naughty on, I've been a good girl and now that Santa has come and gone, and won't be back again for a while, I can get away with things... 
Today, I'm going to be slipping into a disguise and heading down to a factory to find myself a new toy that Santa forgot to bring me... 

In this factory, the machines line the Hallway - a backdrop from TROPIX - of the Love Factory - a machine from LEMME - where the Astro Table Men - from Krescendo at the Man Cave - are in charge of creating new toys for special girls and boys... Now the reason I had to get a little robotic is all because these little men are trained to destroy any human that enters, just like the Oompah Loompahs in a small Chocolate Factory. Luckily there are some adorable things from Normandy, that allow me to get myself cyborged up, decorated with neons and fairylights...

Memories on the Screen

Our brain is such a powerful tool, it makes the world's super computers look like amateurs, and even the most useless of people are brilliantly clever if they really put their mind to it! They run our bodies and keep us alive, they keep skills held tight so they can be used any time they are needed, and they hold on to so many of our wonderful memories as well as those things that we wish to forget, our secrets, our hopes and our fears... We can call on them when we need them, some come to the front of our minds unbidden, and others are locked up tight... 
If we had a machine that could tap into our memories, I wonder what we'd discover... 

I think if we had a machine that could share our thoughts it could be either really great - a way to help us clear our minds of the bad things - or really terribly - if things are used against us... Imagine if someone got hold of our innermost secrets?!!! 
I'd hope that if someone has seen memories in my head, they will only find the happy things. Memories of my childhood days, reminders of my favourite toys. There are so many that spring to mind at times, things I'd forgotten, things that may no longer exist... 
Whilst I don't have a machine, I will admit that I DO have a lot of toys, lots of them to remind me of my youthful days. Once the machine has found the image, it could be printed out and everyone can take a closer look at all my lovely toys... Things like my AMAZING Rocking Horsey - from Ananas at the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - or my beautiful dolls, but you have to be careful, there is one that is a little more lively than the others... Watch out for the Pistachio Puppet - from tardfish at Enchantment - he's not as cute as he looks, he's very stabby... 
Now as the image on the screen of the picture in my mind is small, luckily the print outs are a little bigger and give you a proper close-up...

Killing Monsters with Tommy Guns

 Today has been a hugely, torturously hot day... The whole country has become an oven, and I like a lot of other people feel like I'm melting. 
I've decide though right now I'm going to slip myself off into a dream and let myself be cooler... If that's possible! Although, right now the dream, due to my surroundings, has become much more of a nightmare! 
I'm ready though, to shoot the monsters and rid my dreams of them... Maybe they will take the heat away with them lol... 

Wandering through the Dirty Hallway - a backdrop from Paleto - I was wandering looking through the keyholes of the closed doors, wondering where each would lead me. As I was about to do down the stairs, a poof of smoke, a flash of green light and suddenly giant tentacles rushing at me up the stairs... 
I rushed to a hidden place, needing a weapon to help myself, and as with all dreams all I needed to do was dream it, and a MURDER Commie Tommy Gun miraculously appeared - this will be appearing for you to get your hands on at the opening tomorrow round of Midnight Order!
