Single Wishes Could Be Enough!

How do I even contemplate writing something like this? I’ve been going around and around in my brain, trying to work out how to share this little bit of RL with you all recently and did I even want to talk about something so personal, in such a public way, in a random SL based blog post. This is my rambling space and a place I’ve always called my personal therapy but this post is one of the hardest I’ve ever had to share, I feel it’s something that I need to talk about, I just don’t know where to begin or how… 
You may have seen here in recent months that I had been talking more about my RL mum, and using this as a place to vent my emotions… Well, I guess that’s where we will start this story…

In November last year, mum was admitted to hospital in pain and very, very yellow - I’m talking, she could have been an extra in the Simpsons kinda yellow - and it was discovered there were issues with her pancreas… 
After Christmas, my sister and I were told it was Pancreatic Cancer.
I can already see the face that you just pulled as you read this, it’s the face that everyone pulled when we shared the news and, although I knew it was bad, I tried to brush it off and remain positive… 
In June however, when I went home to see family, we were told she did not have long left… Let me tell you, leaving to come back to the Netherlands was almost unbearable - it has always been hard but nothing like this - it was mum’s wish though. She wanted me to get home and finish the renovation project on our house. She said she wanted to be able to come see it, and she wanted to know I was happy in my own home again. So after returning home on July 1st, the hubby and I were working our asses off to get it done…
A week later, we heard from my dad that mum had been taken into palliative care in the local hospice, where they would give her the best care since it was becoming too much for him at home. She was ok… She said she had some “very nice young male nurses” - that her friends told me she enjoyed some silly giggles with - to make sure she was eating and allowed her to listen to her favorite Take That songs. 
On July 18th, mum passed away…
I was in Holland, but my sister had just got back to my parent’s house from her home in Wales… Someone was there with dad, that’s was a good thing, but I was not there at the time and I still feel such overwhelming guilt about that… All I wanted was a hug from my dad and sister! 
I did not get to see mum, and it may sound strange but for me that was OK. Goodbye felt like such a difficult word to say. I’d seen her recently and she’d been able to smile and hug me and tell me that she loved me, that’s what I wanted to remember. She wanted me to remember her as the vibrant sunshine that she was… The woman who was a carboot sale queen, a belly dancer, a jeweller, a mum and the best friend I could have ever asked for…
So, that brings me to the picture I’ve taken today… I had been doing a little shopping to try and cheer myself up. I discovered the “single wish sticks” - from Violetility, available until August 18th at The Warehouse - and plans changed. I knew what I wanted to wish for… I wasn’t crazy enough to wish that she’d come back… I know the lore on how that works, and I also know that she’s not in any pain now which is more than I could ever want for her, but I have a wish to hear her voice just one last time… I wish I could see her laugh at me again… I wish I could give her another tight hug and let her know that I love her…
I dunno if these gimmicky gadgets will work, but anything is worth a try… Wish me luck and thank you for reading my ramblings!!!

The Devil is Coming!

Today was a crazy, weird day and I am tired of people already. Soon we will be facing the Easter rush, it's supposed to have happened in Amsterdam already but seriously people are staying away it seems... The city is still rather quiet, and there are SO MANY reasons that may be the case... I'm not going to get into my thoughts on the world right now, but it feels like the reaper is coming, bringing his brothers and the world may be doomed for a historical repeat... The devil is coming... 

I always think about the Grim Reaper from Supernatural and how cool he was, his brothers were lame and easily killed in one episode which I always felt was a waste of a good storyline lol... When he died we had a weak replacement, I'd have been better... I'd have been a better Reaper replacement I think... 
As Rob Zombie once sang "the Devil is coming" and today that devil looks a little like Rudh hehe... She's dressed in her gorgeous silk Martha dress - from AsteroidBox, available until April 8th at ACCESS - and the orb of her cane glows with her power, but she radiates wrath, power and death... Don't fear the Reaper, but the Devil is Coming...

The Free Red Light Library!

I was supposed to have the day off today, but being the Ass Man at work, that wasn't able to happen. It meant I had to leave and head into the city, and face the most disgusting Amsterdam that happens all year... It's horrible and I'd hate to be a tourist expecting a beautiful city on the day after King's Day... 
I seemed to spend a lot of time waiting, and it got my mind wandering... I was scrolling through the internet and wishing I lived in a place where I could have a free library with my neighbours... It led to my mind going off in a different directions... 

I was wondering about these free libraries, but rather than a neighbourhood library and books, I was wondering how things would go with a free "library" in the Red Light District... Perhaps they'd repurpose an old phone box, to become a London Style Shelf - like the one that was released by Boutique #187 for Man Cave - and they might have the odd toy to play with but I'm sure the hookers would LOVE some steamy reading to enjoy while they wait for their next client... 
Rudh definitely looks like she needs a bit of a break too, she's slipped on a simple Tetra Dress - from Garmonbozia, which is available until April 27th at FaMESHed - as it keeps her back uncovered and lets the ast client's possessive back scratches all over her back sting a little less...

The Ultimate Pain Paddle!

The Demons of Hell have been tormenting people for centuries, and there has always been a bit of a pleasure when it comes to the tormenting of these souls that find their way into the darker corners of Hell... 
Depending on where you end up, you can never know which of the demons wil make an appearance, but it is safe to say that they will enjoy whatever they do... Well most of the time anyway... 

The Threll - a head from CRYPTID - Demoness is one of those that likes to inflict pain, but loves to do it in a bit of a kinky way... She's working for the deadly sins, hidden in one of the corridors of their house to assist in their work.She likes heavy metal and lots of spikes on her clothes, but puts on a costume of a Nun's headdress for her play sessions... 
Once she's pinned you to the Orion Cross - a release from Violetility at FaMESHed X until May 10th - she gets out all manner of whips, chains, crops and paddles to help her entertain herself and the Sin Demons... Things get a little boring after doing this for so long, and they are always looking for new painful methods to play around with. It has been a recent discovery, people talk about stepping on Legos being a terrible pain all the time, but they are now part of the Ultimate Pain Paddle - from Krescendo - and are eager to test it's pain providing levels...

Time for a Little Detecting...

Is it just me, or is it crazy that we're already at the end of February?! I mean I know that it's a short month, but seriously WHAT THE HELL, how can we already be about to enter our third month and therefore ending our first quarter of the year... It's serously getting to the point of blink and you miss it... 

It's time we opened up our eyes and did some thorough investigating into where the hell the year has gone? There has been so much going on this year that things are whizzing by faster and faster... I think I'd make a great detective, I mean I've watched enough of those cheesy detective shows. I think though I'd be a little more Murder She Wrote/Miss Marple than some CSI/Law & Order style detective... I don't think I could handle the true danger of being a cop in a big city, I'm way too mucch of a wuss... I'd also have to leave my cute puppy friend at home...

Truth or Dare?!

It's Saturday... It's my own day off this weekend and I've spent some time having fun with HellBone, doing a little shopping at my favourite second-hand stores, even being lucky enough to find some treasures that made me happy... 
Saturday is my day for relaxing, having fun and maybe even letting my hair down and doing something daring... 

Rudh went looking for some fun in the Red Light District - which is a backdrop from Varonis - and stumbled into the doorway of the Society Club. The Capture of Mr FluffySocks, Kitty Spy!

Home from work today, and I've curled up in my jammies on the sofa to find something good on tv for an evening of viewing. I wanted to read my book, but my brain has otherwise, and whilst I have a headache I just cannot think about what I want to do other than switch my brain off... There doesn't seem to be anything good to watch though, I want something with a little intrigue, a little mystery and perhaps a little randomness that will inspire my random ramblings... 

As I sat lazing, my cat came to make use of me as a warm cushion. My mind began to drift and the show on the tv about a mad scientist that was creating evil minions, which may have been somewhat altered by my sleepy state because Gru and the minions were never really all that evil, was under attack by the superhero kitty that was able to invade the secret base in their flying machine... 
Of course, and I'm not entirely sure how, but I was able to re-create this amazing vision with some super cool new creations in SL, AND a Weird Science Coat - from Hotdog. She kept things safe by wearing a pair of Tomb style glasses - from sacredsquare that are available until March 15th as a hunt prize for the Wayward Hunt. The stars of the show today though HAVE to be the monsters and they super spy kitty... Bestrals are a shy monster unless handled properly - they are available from Tardfish at Modify Event - and once trained they are loyal minions. The Super Spy kitten has been given tools to make his spying life easier, including the Meowtron - which is a companion available from the awesome Aardvark at the current round of Cyber Fair until March 25th - so he can fly through the bad guys bases and cause chaos...

The Vampire's New Lady

There is a LOT of drama taking place in SL at the moment as a revelation has been made within a RL article about ageplay at the highest level of SL organization, the drama seems very justified as residents are standing up for what's right and demanding change... It's great to see that people are rallying together against this cause and not fighting on opposing arguements...
Though it's got me on edge, worrying about the bad that may come our way, my anxiety is high when I worry about what could happen to my little corner of online magic... I need to do something simply creative, something to spread a little love and colour and maybe a little happiness... 

I feel like I'm going a little batty, it's bonkers in SL at the moment and who knows where this whole thing will end up, but I want to spread a little love, and I'm heading into the attic... I've decided to approach the vampire bats - from Vizarte - who may be able to direct her to their master so she can be Bitten - shown by the Tristan Flinders - and turn into the gorgeous WereBat - a release from Forest Fantasy Store at the Midnight Requiem round of Enchantment - that matches with the way her mind is feeling... 
Of course, her bat form was more than a little appealing to the vampire master, in her dazzling Serafina Gown - from Astralia - in it's sheer silk delicacy. He instantly wanted to woo, wanted her for his bride and make sure she was Taken - which is actually a pose set name from Fashiowl - and that started with a HUGE bouquet of two dozen roses - from hive...

Toys and Cookies for Puppy Training

The books that I'm reading at the moment definitely seem to be having an influence on me and the way my mind is working at the moment... I've been letting my mind wander into darker delights that are delicious and fun, and creating some interestingly pretty new looks for myself...
Today, for some reason I ended up letting my mind slip into the realm of becoming a puppy to a worthy, welcoming and protective Daddy... I wonder if there is anyone that will welcome a new puppy into their home... 

I've never really had any desire to participate in pet play, it's something that always seems a little to close to being a furry or even darker desires that hide in the shadows... Though from the books I've been reading, I'm intrigued, and cannot deny Rudh the chance to find herself caught up in the playtime.. 
Daddy's play room in the La Chandelle Room - which is actually a skybox from Varonis - a small area has been set aside to indulge in Daddy's new puppy... He's set out a new bed, a leash and made a jar of fresh cookies ready to treat his new pet. The toys are new too, the big rubber cones can double as more than one type of toy, whilst she's got soft plushie donuts and lattes for her Pet Collection - from Junk Food, which is an oldie but still a cutie and is available in the mainstore! Shes even been bought a new collar for the games today, a Bone Collar - from Krescendo that is available in the mainstore - tht will be perfect for her new leash...

Chains of Hell

I'm hiding in the darkness still, today has been a bit of a nightmare due to a bed situation and I'm NOT happy that I won't be getting to curl up in my brand new fancy bed... I'm not happy, I'm trying to keep my cool, and not drag people down to Hell for being both useless and patronising. I was so close to dragging them down to Hell and letting the demons have some fun... 

You can tell that I'm in a more than feisty mood, I'm feeling angry and want to punish someone for letting me down and disappointing me... 
I've stormed into the real world, leaving the door to hell somewhat ajar, dragging some of the chains of capitivity through with me. They rattle in an "Unchained Melody" - a pose set from piXit, available at the current round of Sabbath - a noise so scary that it will haunt those she's hunting...

Escaping Through Fire...

 I've had two days at work this week, and it's been pretty shit. I love my job, but it's terrible when we are quiet at work it seems to make the day stretch out so it feels four times as long.... I'm also in charge at the moment since my boss has gone away for a few days. No-one had better mess things up this week... 
For tonight though I am going to escape, and maybe I'll blow things up and burn them to the ground... Or maybe I'll let Rudh do it, and perhaps in a more drama involved... 

Rudh never does things by halves, she's going to walk away from this and leave the place burning as she goes... The shots from her own gun, and those from her WarDog pets - a SHARD release for Midnight Order -  ricocheting from the metal walls of the station, as the monstrous-looking twisted beings try to stop their escape...

Moths and Fluff in the Mind

It's Remembrance Day today in the Netherlands, and normally I spend my day focusing on the blood red poppies of Flanders Fields that have become a symbol of remembrance in the UK but today my mind has shifted a little... It feels like it's full of fluff as I have the start of a cold coming, but with everything going on in the world right now Remembrance Day has definitely shifted to become something more than just thinking about soldiers lost at war... I couldn't focus on poppies this year, I had to do something that made me feel thoughtful, allow me to remember in a different way and give me a moment to pause for thought... 

High up in the attic space where the light glows but is more than a little sombre, I sat in the glowing light of the late Autumn sunshine and closed my eyes. My head full of fluff as my mind wanders, I feel lost and alone in the sombre darkness... I am a doll in this life, and my face shows signs of breaking - an amazing accessory from KitCat called Stuffings TheDoll - while the butterflies of my imagination drift away in the light beams and dance through the quiet space... With everything going on in the world right now though, the way we remember the dead should change too, I love the poppies, I love the significance they hold and they will ALWAYS be important. Yet we need to just use this time as a moment to stop and pause, to think of anyone that had sacrificed themselves to save those of us that live on, no matter where they are, what they believe and what their reason is... We're still fighting over political issues, we're still fighting over religion, we're still fighting for our rights, in a modern age where people should be allowed to live their lives how they choose...

Fear the Reaper... Please?!

I'm still having  happy Goth Summer... I always tell people the darker and more depraved things look onmy blog, the happier I feel and now that I'm on holiday I cannot help but let the darkness out... 
Today I've been really good to a certain someone that I want to stay on the good side of... Death has decided to take himself off on a little holiday, and so because I owed him a favour after last year I was happy to step in and look after his little reapers...

Stalking the corridors of the Occurance - a backdrop from Varonis - is the fastest way to slip between locations of all of the people that are written in the Reapers little black book. All I have to do is cross off the names as the Lil'Reapers - from Tardfish - do their work, flitting backward and forward through the doors... Someone needs to be there to assisting ensuring that people fear the reapers...

When the Bats sleep in the Belfry...

One of those lazy days, it's a day when I feel like I could have a little fun... It's nearly Halloween and it's a time that the Monsters are beginning to wake up and I think that I'm ready to start helping them to wake up... My favourite of them to wake is definitely the vampires, especially the lords of them... You could say that I'm a little bit of a fan girl when it comes to the dark, brooding, but non-Twilight vampire types hehe... 

The Lord of the Vampires will be deathly hungry when he wakes from his sleep... I think that he may need some entertainment and fresh blood when he wakes in his sleeping quarters. I'm willing to offer my services, if I can only get rid of his minders - thes adorable STOIC Bats - first...
The room is set ready for his 'arousal' - both figuratively and literally - and his Bed - from Violetility - is ready for him to Rest in Peace once he's done hehe...

A Strange Nurse in a Dark Hospital

Oh my god today was insanely, busy! We were crazy from the moment that I got there and things just never seemed to slow down. I barely stopped walking, and didn't sit down and now I'm tired and sore and very uncomfortable... All I wanna do is sleep, but I need someone to nurse me back to health and stop the painful aches hehe... 
Someone call me a nurse please? 

Maybe this isn't the nurse that I was expecting... I mean there have been so many other options, but this nurse that based her look on the somewhat Resident Evil style... I just hope that she has soft hands and is good at helping someone sore to relax. I mean she's a very BeSpoke Ghoul although slightly Necrotic - available from Necrosis - and I worry because her eyesight is not as good as it could be, which is why she is using borrowed eyes - from Hotdog - but she looks like she might help?!

Moths in the Attic

Just when I feel like it's time to come out of the shadows and get back to some semblance of normal, things shift and everything rolls back to square one... After the craziness that has been going on in the Netherlands with regards to the riots, and the loss of a dear SL friend this week, I just cannot bring myself to wander too far into the light... 
I'm like a moth, wanting desperately to enter into the light, not brave enough to dare to get too close... 

In the attic of the Varonis Verendus, the dark little moth girl hides in the shadows, watching the the world pass by out of the window as the moonlight catches just a glimpse of her... 
She's mystical, she's magic, and the glitter is drawing the gentle moth friends around the dusty old attic... If it's not the magic sparkles, maybe it's the magic within the Caithe pendant - a gorgeous necklace from random.Matter - around her neck...

Hair Fair Eclipse!

A few days ago I mentioned not one but TWO awesome events that were on the horizon... Well... Both ECLIPSE and Hair Fair 2019 have now officially opened for business!!
Rudh has been playing around with tons of new hair, and some awesome goodies for those of us that like the darker things in life, but out of no where an outfit seemed to fall together... Something a little bit cyber goth perhaps?! 

I guess you might call it a Hair Fair ECLIPSE look of the day, but I found this hair at the event, it's an exclusive from Sintiklia with the proceeds going to the charity. It's not something I'd usually even consider, but I tried it on and thought "oooh this is fun" and I knew I'd be using it to make something pretty with... Now I'll admit I bought it in a Crazy Color pack thinking I'd do something bright and random and neon, but then I guess due to the colour shirt I chose I was drawn back to a more normal Rudhish Red. Its' funny because the shirt - an ECLIPSE release from Ghoul - comes in so many bright neon colours, I have no idea how I was drawn back to red, but I love it!!

MuggleBorn Demon

I'm NOT a Harry Potter fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I recently discovered a newish store - well it was new to me since Halloween last year anyway - with a name I may have usually just brushed aside due to it's Potterish reference... That is until I saw the stuff that is coming out of this place... HOT HOT HOT, I HAD to get my hands on some, and now I have LOTS to share...  

Little back story... Every year the Gators MC have a Halloween Maze - you may have noticed me talking about this before... WELL, last year we had a visitor that made quite a large impression on use due to the fact that she borrowed HellBone to use as a model for her Halloween store ad release after giving him a blood splattered mankini that he danced around in wearing nothing else but a cock head mask!! 
This store is the very awesome MuggleBorn - yes a Harry Potter theme but the stuff inside the store is not something you'd see wandering around at Hogwarts!! - where naughty meets magical... If you're a little witch wanting to look more than a little provocative, then this is DEFINITELY a place that should be on your shopping route. I mean check out the dress I'm wearing. This is the Wander's Dress - that I'm currently wearing in Palette 1. Each palette comes with three different tones, fatpacks are also available AND there is a thing called an Ultimate Pack option, which I will explain later! 
When I dressed this look up, it seemed to somewhat take a demonic twist, as often occurs with me, but a demonic bad girl roaming the halls, looking for trouble... I blame the dress I swear, that, soft spiderweb fabric did things to me LOL... 
Though now I'm MuggleBorn addicted, I cannot wait to show you what else is available!
