Prepping the Bad Magic before Valentine's

Ahhh Wednesday, thank fuck you're finally done for me and I have the day off tomorrow... I NEED to have some time to relax, although with the building preparations and having to pack umore stuff I think I have a lot more to do than I might have anticipated LOL.... 
For tonight I'm going to kick back and work a little magic... The month of the hearts and flowers and romance is alomost upon us and for the next couple of weeks everything will no doubt be full of Valentine's sweetness... I'm not a Valentine fan, can't it be Halloween again?! Perhaps I need to find a way... 

Now if there is one thing I do know is that Monster Smut is often a good way to enjoy the romance and seduction without things being too sickly sweet... Since starting my reading journey I've discovered a LOT of new things that are somewhat intriguing... 
I've decided to let the bood thirsty monster out of myself, I'm going to let her let her hair down and plan her Valentine season... No mush, no sickly sweet, not even a card, just dark Valentine funsies... She's already preparing herself, she's had something to drink and has been to see the magical beings of the Midnight Order - which runs until February 20th by the way - to pick up some Love Potion and a Blood Vial - from Ritual - so that she can get started...

Decorations Don't Go Quietly!

It's that most yucky of days after the Christmas festivities in my house today... I'm not sure if it's today or tomorrow that it's traditional to take down Christmas decorations but in our house, we took the decor down today. I was not looking forward to it, but it has been done, everything is ready to be stashed away again and things look dark and empty... 

It makes me laugh how we use the same things over and over and over again, I'm not one of those people that wants a pristine or chic looking Christmas tree, I LOVE it when things are colourful and mismatched and traditions that remain the same every year... I know, especially in times like this, I want things to be cozy and comforting... I dislike this darkness that has decended in my living room today... It's only going to get emptier as we prepare the house for our moving date... 
While stuffing things in to the old chests in the Attic, I made a little discovery... One of the Gingerbread men that had appeared in many of my posts over the festive period was REALLY not ready to return to his Spring/Summer/Autumn sleep, he got angry and tried to Choke Me Out - he's a festive release from Tardfish that I HOPE will still be available in the mainstore but let me know if I'm wrong please! - and well since he wanted to stay awake I'll just have to take his place for a long nap in a cosy old trunk...

The Gingerbread Slay

Honestly it's hard to believe that it's Christmas week already, even with the fact that it feels like we've been talking about Christmas for ages now, I'm still shocked that it's almost here... Is that weird?! I guess it's because I don't feel ANYWHERE near the Christmas Spirit because there have been so many things dragging my mind into darker places than I've been in a LONG LONG time... I'll talk more about that after the happiness of the festivities are over, but for now I'm going to throw the prettiness into the ring, shake it up and see what happens... The darkness seeped through just a little and took over the gumdrop candy cuteness... 

I am in the mood for a little chaos, a little mayhem and a little evil... I've decided that my version of the Sugar Plum Fairy would rule her little corner of Sugar Land with a somewhat deadly iron fist... Her home at the Gingerbread Manor - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis, that I have actually butchered to use in the background of my picture, and have actually added the official Ad Poster to the bottom of the post... Oh and I'm sorry Synnergy.Tavis, the backdrop is gorgeous but I needed it to be a little different - in the Gingerbread town is perfectly positioned  to watch over her Gingerbread subjects...

Gingerbread Magic!

You can kinda tell I've had the day off today, a much needed day of rest so I can look through all the things I need to work on and see what crazy interesting things I can come up with... I want to find a little magic, I NEED to find a little magic, and I want something to make me feel Christmassy... 
Let's close our eyes and find a little of the Christmas magic... 

One of my favourite things about this time of year is a sudden need for some gingerbread cookies... I haven't eaten them all year, I've been resisting the urge and now I'm going to enjoy them dipped in some coffee... I cannot wait to taste them... 
I find myself a drawn to the magic of the cinnamon, the ginger, the crunch and apparently I'm not the only one... Did you know there is an adorable little fae that is our own little Gingerbread Fae with a mushroom hat - which is a look created by Faunus for this month's round of We Love Roleplay - that loves a candycane, but also enjoys watching the falling snow and the happiness of the gingerbread folks in their Christmassy Gingerbread Town...

The Wolves and The Enchanted Snowman

There is still a lot of interesting things going on in the Enchantment's Frostbitten Graveyard. The inhabitants have come out to play in full force, and their awakening has drawn in more friends to explore the frostbitten landscape... For some reason a snowy graveyard always feels a little Dickensian in it's drama to me, maybe that's just my love of the Victorian Gothic ghost stories perhaps, but I love the frostbitten temperatures at this time of year... 

Since the fresh snow has now coated the Lost Cemetary - an older but still amazing backdrop from K&S - leaving it looking a little Frostbitten - thanks to items created by InkMe, for this month's Enchantment - it seems that the cemeteries inhabitants have been busy building snowmen that may be a little darker than outer appearances would have you believe... The snowman whose eyes seem to glow and has a strange set of roots that seem a a little rotten... Something is amiss with that snowman, I guess that is why the Wild Wolves - a new release from Aardvark available until December 8th at ACCESS - are being fairly cautious around it... 
The protector of the wolves is a guardian of Blind Faith - a headdress from MoonSha, available at Enchantment - but she will hav to work some serious magic to rid this poor little snowman of whatever magic is making him crazy...

A Guardian of the Winter Realm

Enchantment is more than just a feeling, it's a total state of mind and the magic of a true enchantment is wonderful... Every now and then in Second Life a magical Enchantment comes to life and brings with it stories of magic, mystism and wonder... If you listen closely and take a peek through the gates of the graveyard you may see this month's magic sparkling in the snow... 
This month's magical enchantment is a tale of a young man's new found family of spirits in the graveyard and his troubles when dealing with both the living and the dead... It's a tale that could be true for real life right now, but I think it is time we slip through the gates to see what magic is occurring... 

As we cross the bridge over the Snow Path - a backdrop from Saintstreet, available now until November 30th at Enchantment's Frostbitten event - and head toward the Winter Realm Archway - by Tirrany Designs - we have to be careful. There are spirits that will jump out of the shadows and some of them are a little unhinged - like the pose set from -Extra-  that I am using here - just like the Lich Hollow - a head and skin set from BeSpoke - who is covered in ice with frozen wings... The magic is radiating from this monstrous fae, a protector of the graveyard...

A New Month's Magical Bath

It's bloody November... We ar so close to the year's end now you can almost smell it... Mariah Carey is on turbo defrost as of today and it won't be long before we can not avoid her song everywhere we go... 
Still it is the day after Halloween and the dark little spirits are packing their bags and heading home... Magic is being collected and stored by those magical beings which are staying behind, and I am a dark little being taking myself off for a nice relaxing bath... 

I've taken over the Shadow Oracle Room - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and I'm doing to try to retain some of the magic before it disappears until next Halloween... To do that, I'm going to get in a bath so that I'll be Spellbound - a pose and prop set from -Extra- - I'll soak in the magic and let it sparkle out of me from time to time... Magical Dolly Monsters

Today was one of those boring but busy days at work, and because it was crappy weather, people were just hanging around and doing nothing but eating... It was hard trying to remain calm and not get mad at people for being like a plague of locusts that ate everything in sight... Due to this fact, right now I am freaking exhausted... 
That's what happens when you end up working hard and there never seems to be a break insight... Even a weekend doesn't seem long enough... 

Rudh has taken up a new challenge recently... She's been working hard on some magical new friends for herself, she wanted a collection of adorable new monsters in her life since the monsters that she surrounds herself by are far too much for her to hande right now... 
She's taken over her sisters Tailor Set - which was a past event release from ANTAYA - at her place in Briar Court - which is actually a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and has been working really hard to replace the monsters around her with monsters that are better... The Prettiest Death

It's Halloween season, you can't really have missed it unless you're living under a rock, and we're getting closer and closer to the spookies coming to a head this month. There is somuch going on and I'm finding it very hard to keep my head up and think about things I need to get done. I won't complain, life is just moving very fast and I am more than a little tired, but at least it is moving forwards... Though I am not sure if it's due to Spooky Season, or if it's just because of some RL stuff at the moment but death seems to be on my mind a fair bit... 

Death has aways come in so many different forms, and even if you're not into graphic representations of Death many people will have an idea of what they believe this figure will look like. Even some of the world's most early human cultures had their representations of death and the vast majority of those were not the Grim Reaper that we often associate Death with nowdays. 
I think for me, my favourite representation of Death was the one from the Supernatural franchise, and Julian Richings - who played him - deserves multiple awards! Though if I was going to Grim Reaper or Death myself, I think she'd be a little more ethereal... A little more otherworldly... A little more kick butt in a pretty outfit...

The Vampire's Eternal Sparkle!

I am so sorry that I've been so down in the dumps lately... I've been lost in my own head. I'm trying to get into the spirit of Halloween, and even doing things that are spooky picture wise isn't helping right now... Heck even the Halloween themed smut I'm reading doesn't seem to be helping right now and I don't know what I can do about it... 
I need a little Halloween magic today and I have to dig deep to find it... I REALLY don't know where I'll find it... 

I managed to find a dark little Halloween fae in the moonlight, the darkess broken by the sparkling moonlight through the windows of the Eternal Rest - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - the perfect place for a vampire and his fae muse. Leaving the Engine Room

I dont know what it is but at the moment I'm finding it hard to get into the spirit of Halloween... In fact, let me be honest and totally real here with you a moment, I am findingit hard to get into doing much of anything at the moment. I can sit staring at a look I'm putting together fora picture for hours and find no entertainment in it, all I want to do is sleep right now... That's not good is it?!
Maybe I need to fly away, escape to somewhere that's not in my mind and I don't need to think... Someone come get me and take me away please... 

There is about 8 days left before the Engine Room closes, and the interesting characters that have come out of the woodwork for the opening of the doors are slowly beginning prep for the closing... There are hot air balloons being readied in the wing of Reactor 4 - a building kit from mizu for the Engine Room - and as a captain of one, I'm going to head down early to prepare myself for their flight... My bags are packed, I want to get away...

Magic Beyond the Mirror!

I feel like I needed a little magic in my life today and whilst I was still waking up, I had a notecard come through that one of my bucket list stores had accepted me into their blogger team... I was elated and it's the magic I needed... I feel like I woke up from a slumber and the sparkling light allowed me to break free into the magical depths of my mind where the deepest and best magic resides... 

While tidying up some of the mess in my inventory, to distract myself from my mind, I found myself in a Forgotton Room - which is actually a backdrop from Dirty Rat - looking into a beautiful old mirror that without even the touch of a breath very quickly became a Broken Mirror - a gorgeous item from Moon Amore - that pulled me through it's broken glass to another world full of light and magic...

The Pixel Fae and Her Arcade Aura

A magical day off that I spent at home in my jammies doing a few odd chores and reading the rest of the time... When I was cleaning the music was loud, cheesy, pop with many, many cheesy karaoke moments, using whatever I had to hand... Just a note to those who do this too, TOILET BRUSHES ARE NOT EVER TO BE USED AS MICROPHONES... Anything else is fair game, and can make you feel like a magical star... 

There is a loud, rumbling music that can be heard across certain regions of Second Life today as the adorable band that is Arcade Aura - which coincidentally is the name of the collection from everfaery for the newly opened round of Cyber Fair that includes the Wings and Left stocking shown in my outfit - in their matching stage outfits are warming up... Lots of loud cheesy pop music, glittering lights with stars and sparkles, and a lead guitarist that would make things a lot easier to rehearse if she remembered to plug the guitar in LOL...

Mushroom Harvest Starts, The Celebration Begins!

My working week is finaly done and it's the weekend, so I'm going to let my hair down and have alovely, relaxing party - Pyjama's and Relaxing Time YAY! - there hasn't been much time for that this week and I truly need a rest at the moment. I don't know why, I'm exhausted... It must be the time of year as the season is beginning to change... 
I get home and I'm about to head inside and relax when the fairy senses inside me started tingling... There was something going on in the fairy grove and I had to go check... 

When I got to the fairy glade, having morphed from standard boring human to something a little more magical, I stumbled upon a different kind of party. Not the relaxing pyjama party I'd been hoping for, but a Mushroom Buddies - a new release from Pitaya for The Fifty - have been picking Orchand mushrooms to get ready for the Autumn feasts and hibernation preparation... Now I KNOW I wasn't keen on the idea of having to do anything more than relax BUT I can't turn down this kinda party, they have tea and CAKE!!!

Oops! I Think I'm in BIG TROUBLE!

Ever have those days when you feel like your brain stops working?! I don't mean in the medical sense either, I'm talking like you cannot remember why you bent down to tie your shoe laces when you are in fact wearing slip-ons, or when you walk into a room and instantly forget what you came in for, or when you're mentally confused because today should be Sunday when it is in fact Friday... That kind of brain fart... I am getting those a lot lately, and someone told me I might be Peri-Menopausal, but I wish this brain fog would clear... 

It's as I was getting overly excited about my new outfit that I'd found at the Midnight Order, a Starla set - from Web Dew - decorated with Suns, Moons and Stars, things that have always made me feel special, and was making me feel remarkly happy that I wondered if I had been forgetting something... I mean I'd decked myself out with some gorgeous accessories, and even remembered to tuck my familiar little burdy into my Burdy Hat - which is a release from Tardfish for The Vault - but it wasn't until I was dancing through the Enchanted Book Hall - which is an older but still gorgeous release from everfaery - that I spotted something with a note attached... OH CRAP... In the bird cage, the Forgotten Birdcage - from CABALPIER - if you will, I think I'm in BIG TROUBLE...

Pineapples!

I don't very often get cravings for things, I tend to allow myself to always have a little of what I want because if I start craving something and eventually get my hands on things, then I will eat far too much and end up feeling yucky... On hot days like this, I am drinking so much water but I like to eat something salty so that it helps as I'm sweating. I don't tend to go for something sweet...
Fruit is delicious but I get picky and go through phases of what I want... There is a fruit on my mind at the moment... PINEAPPLE! 

I am not  HUGE pineapple fan, I have to say I don't love it, and it certainly doesn't belong on pizza, but when it's hot and summery, there is just something about Pineapple that makes me want lots of it... 
Rings, Sticks, Crushed into icy drinks or pulped into Ice Cream... Everything is going to be so delicious... The smell of the delicious pineapple is even luring in the little pineapple fae... Aren't they cute?!

Pool Time Fun!

It's getting hot again!! The temperature is rising just as I've got to start cleaning my house to make sure everything is ready to go home... WHY DO THE GODS HATE ME?!
All I want to to do is find a way to cool down, I want to shower every five minutes and swim somewhere cool and preferably shady... I wish I had a pool!!!

I'm not sure if Rudh is chilling in her rubber ring, or if she's making a terrible cannonball bomb into the pool and is about to get herself stuck in a rubber ring she's landing on... 
You can see that her fishy buddies are experiencing her arrival with different reactions... The Bubble Buddies, such cute little fishies - from Krescendo - are watching on with a little concern, but it's the Chompy Sharks - from Snuggle&Co, still available until July 13th at Summerfest - that seem to be enjoying it... Their pearly whites are definitely on show like they are smiling anyway...

Summer Beach Work

I work in retail in RL, I'm sure you may have seen me say that once or twice... I'm currently watching a British TV series called "Death in Paradise" and I think that at the moment these things are coming together in my mind so that I ended up on a paradise beach selling fruits... It sounds like a perfect place to be right now... 

Death in Paradise is set in the Caribbean, filmed in Guadaloupe although the island in the stories is imaginary... 
Now if I was relaxed enough to be chilling on the beach, playing or perhaps just making noise on my Ukulele - a release from Junk Food, available until July 17th at Anthology - I don't think I'd be looking as comfortable as I am... Sitting around at my Seabreeze Fruit Shack - a release from Dust Bunny for this year's Summerfest event - I think I'm likely to be more than a little sunburnt!!!

Do you play Croquet?

Things are crazy in my household at the moment. My pain in the butt, whom I love muchly, hubby was operated on yesterday and though he's home he is in a lot of pain. I've been allowed to take a few days off so that I can look after him which so far has been fairly OK... He is a little high on the good kind of drugs, but it's me that seems to be stuck in my own tiring little Wonderland, I'm running around all over the place doing things for him... I finally managed to get a little time to rest and so I ended up finding a Wonderland that was a little less stressful... 

What to do while I'm here to relax? Anyone fancy a game of croquet? I always used to love the idea of the flamingo croquet that Alice played with the Queen of Hearts in the Disney version... I wanted to play with the croquet mallets so badly because they looked like heaps of fun... So in the gardens of Wonderland I'm going to ask, DO YOU PLAY CROQUET?!

An Egyptian Goddess, Wadjet!

I woke up this morning feeling too hot and bothered, it was too early to get out of bed but I couldn't bare the thought of just laying there and stewing in my own headachy blahness... It lead to me being weirdly creative... 
It lead to my mind disappearing to a faraway land and a time long ago, and where the magic of the old gods could be felt within the desert sands walls... To a Bright and Magical Luxor Night... 

We know so much of the magic that went along with the stories of the Egyptian Gods but there are some that are more famous than others. Whilst on our trip together today, we have come across the beautiful goddess Wadjet - although this is more like my Monster High kinda version probably - who was revered as a protector of kings of the ower kingdom... She and her cobra head were seen as a symbol of protection and sovereignty, apparently...
Our Monster High styled version of Wadjet, seems a little more disgruntled at yet more statues of the senior gods, where the heck was the new one she'd been promised... She's a Naga Vaelric - a release from BeSpoke that can still be grabbed today at the Vintage Fair but it closes on the 16th so maybe you'll have to head to the mainstore - and she deserves to have EgyptianTales told...
