A Day in the Wild West!

It's been a few days since I was last around since I've been stuck at work and I'll be honest, when I have been home I've been lost in a book a long way from thinking about my computer... 
Today when I finally sat behind the screen, I was totally unsure as to what I wanted to do. I don't know how I felt but it was hard to know where my brain was going... That's one of the things that I love about blogging, the therapy seems to come naturally... Once I put something on, it all just magically started coming together... 

Some how when I slipped into the Dianne Dress - from AsteroidBox, available until June 10th at Kustom9 - and played with the colours, the blue-ish coloured seemed almost denim, and therefore my brain ended up with a bit of a Calamity Jane moment... 
For some strange reason, I ended up in the Wild West - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - ready to shoot any bad guys that come to my little corner of the Wild West...

Magic of a Djinn

Saturday!! A day for fun, an evening for celebrating the night, and a chance to enjoy a couple of days of peace before a lazy Sunday - in most cases, with the exception of the poor souls like me that have to work tomorrow - so that magic, can and will happen... 
In the heat of the desert, as the day time slips into the peace of an evening and the cool starts to flood the overheated sand, there is often a risk of discovering the dangerous spirits that hide in the dunes... Deserts, like the Zannier Desert - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - tend to be places that can hide the mysterous Djinn...

One of those mysterious spirit forms, the Djinn are most commonly found buried within the old customs of modern Arabic culture... Both revered and reviled, these spirits are believed to be closer to humans than gods due to a mortality that cannot be protected by their magic... They hide in the dusk, dancing just outside of the light where they sparkle as their magic glistens...

A Brunchtime Romance

Since Valentines Day is coming this week, and I've been trying to get into the spirit of things but it's not ever going to be easy for me, as I keep saying I'm really not a hearts and flower kinda girl. I CANNOT wait until Halloween, it's the most wonderful time of the year. So I am now pushing myself somewhat harder, this morning I decided to take a moment and set up the most romantic of Valentines Brunches... For someone VERY special... ME!!!

I set up a table on the Rue Cremieux - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - with some fresh bread, some delicious fruits and a HUGE jar of the most delicious Yumtella - a release from vespertine at Cupid Inc - for a wonderfully indulgent brunch. I'm making this year my year, it's all about me learning to Love myself, and so dressing up all pretty in a gorgeously, sexy dress - from Psycho Barbie - doing my hair up all fancy in a fresh, newly dyed do - from Doe at Cupid's Fault until February 20th - to feed myself this scrumptious breakfast. I even brought myself some beautiful pink roses - from hive - and a soft fluffy bear,then even wrote myself a note promising a silly strip tease in the mirror... This year is going to be my year, and I am going to love myself!

Catching Fireflies

What a day I've had today, it was my first day back at work and I had a blast... I had been a little nervous, but when I got home and had taken a shower to relax, I sat down and now I'm stuck hehe... 
I decided to take a n evening to relax a little bit, aside from doing the dishes and maybe hanging some laundry I'm taking things easy hehe... 
I might read a book, watch some random silly tv series or even spend the evening in the garden and watch for the animals coming to dance in the evening skies... Bats and moths, and fireflies... 

I decided to go with the latter, for Rudh at least, she's been sent on a little camping trip to the Grand Canyon - thanks to a backdrop from Synnergy - to catch fireflies so that she can bring them home to her garden... I used to love 'Catching Fireflies' - though in this case the jar is from tarte - I just have to run home fast so that they are safely, deposited in the garden...

What is waking the broken toys?

The festive season is rolling in on us pretty fast, it's almost the middle of November and before we have a chance to blink... There are rumblings at the pole, and soon the fat guy in the red suit will be here to empty his sack... Yet if you listen carefully, and can hear through the scary sound of Mariah Carey's Christmas Classic in the distance, then you will hear something sinister, there's something dark and evil stirring in the deep basements beneath Santa's Workshop... 

At the end of the dark corridor in the deepest part of the basement, there is a rumbling... Rudh has snuck down into the dark, hearing these noises knowing someone has to check on whatever it is down there... In a corridor littered with old toys, many of which have been ripped or broken - thanks to the Sakura Tantrum Ripped Bears and Broken Dolls - Rudh stopped to pick up one of the bears, as the huge metal doors at the end of the corridor started to rumble... The rumble seemed to come from deep within the earth, causing various toys to rise from the floor, hovering in a strange green glowing cloud... 
What is it that's lurking deep in the dark under Santa's Workshop? Maybe it will make itself known in the coming month... For now though we'd better run!!

I'm Hell Bound!

You might have noticed I've not been wanting to be around much, and now I've decided that I'm gonna get out of here... I'm going on a road trip to nowhere in particular, but I might be Hell Bound... I have the world's best road trip companion, and my car is loaded up ready to go... 

We stopped the car at the tank station to get some gas as we drive through the desert... It's the last stop on the road... Protector of the Dragon Eggs

Taking a break from flowers today and decided instead that it was time to do something a little bit random. Something a little lost in fantasy, something lost in the middle of the deepest forbidden desert landscape... You have to be careful when crossing the sands... You never know who you might run into...

There's a mythical being hiding in the desert, guarding the last of the dragons eggs that have laid in wait until they are ready to hatch. She guards the newly hatched Wyvern Spawn - a release from Inner Demons at Engine Room - as her headless form casts crazy shadows thanks to her amazingly interesting Aetheric Navigator - from FIKA - but you had better not go near the last remaining Dragon Eggs. That glowing orb in her hand is the most dangerous weapon, and she's got a damn near accurate aim!!!

Photos for his Country Music Cover

There are times in SL when people come and go... Sometimes it's for the better and others it hurts more than you'd imagine. Its the people that you think would never leave who cause the most hurt and I can tell you in all honesty, when that happens it's like a heartbreak. It's something that I'm going through right now, and although I won't be sharing details publicly I ask that you bear this in mind for a while if I seem a little melancholy. 
It's times like this I find myself clinging to those around me, my bestie, and my daddy are definitely people I'm clinging to right now, so spending time with them talking and trying to do normal things is helping...  Today trying to take things off my mind I'm taking pictures of someone that I rely on a lot, he's one of my most important people... Daddy!!

Walking a Lonely Road

I'm feeling a little like I should be in that Greenday song about walking alone today... I swear to goodness that no matter how much I try to stay away from other people's drama it will ALWAYS end up biting me on the big bum I have... I'm sick of other people's drama, and I'm sick of people just using me to their own advantage. There's no need to go into my reasons here, it's lots of little things building up to be one massive need to scream. Instead of scream... Today I am going to Blow everything up... 

So I'm walking a lonely road, after the dust is settling, and I'm trying hard to be a good girl and not blow things up. 
I've got plenty of ammunition for my machine gun - which like my outfit and awesome breathing tank of natural air goodness comes from the Fantasy Collective at PROMAGIC - I just hope that no one gets in the way.

Make-Up and Hairstyling for a Princess

I'm still playing dress-up, though this time it might be less easy to see that hehe... This time I am thinking more of a princess than anything evil, but I am a princess that likes to take her time to get ready for her day's adventures. As in RL, this morning I can take my time waking up, drink some coffee at a leisurely pace and get myself all dolled up... 
I found a very pretty dress and although it wasn't my usual taste in things, I simply couldn't resist - hence why today I am a pretty princess hehe... It's also given me the chance to show you one of my favourite bits of my bedroom... 

The area in question is actually my vanity station, my make-up magic bench as I call the one I have in RL - not that I ever tend to wear a lot of make up in RL, I'm a bit too forgetful! Yet this vanity table is actually something that HellBone found for me and that I love. It's a HIDEKI Directors Chair, that has 4 different poses within and that I have thrown tons of adorable Make-Up themed products all over including brushes, creams, and lip balms... There are a few things for styling my many wigs, bright colours for my nails and even a friend to practice the look on - thank you BOOGERS hehe... 
Everything I need to transform myself into whatever it is that I want to be today... 
Right now I need pretty, I need sparkles, I need PRINCESS... 
The dress and shoes were what brought the look into the forefront of my mind, as it's not a pretty look I'd normally go for... I found the dress at the latest round of The Chapter Four from GizzA. It's called the Ribboned Ruffle Dress and it comes in a range of colours, normally I'd have gone for something dark but this smoky colour was just too gorgeous to pass up, and when I spotted the blue ribbon - that comes in the HUD provided - I had to wear these amazing ChicChica Princess shoes with it! It was a match made in Princess Heaven hehe... 
LOL my look of the day is Princess... If only I could get myself into a Disney Princess Happy mood feeling then I'd be great!
