Feel the Force?!

It's Star Wars Day... Here in the Netherlands it's actually Dodenherdenking, to remember those that have falled in times of war as tomorrow is actually the rememberance day of the Netherlands being freed from Nazi control at the end of WW2... Hell is observing this, I am partially paying respects but I kinds feel a little guilt - even though the Brits were some of the Allied Forces that helped to free the Netherlands - for all of the destruction that was caused on route to the freedom, and so I choose to celebrate Star Wars Day with a little chaos from a galaxy far, far away... 

I doubt there would be any spoilers here, but now that Darth Sideous is gone and there are lots of people on either side have spread out across the galaxy, there has to be a way to decide which side will top trumps... 
I think I'm definitely veering more towards the thrills of the Dark Side, I mean I read enough Smut full of dark boys and their darker pleasures... The good boys were really never my thing...

Fairy Defence in the Darkness!

Sometimes I have a craving when it comes to blogging to do things that are NOT normal and let myslf get lost in a fairytale, be that a good or a dark one... Being lost in a fairytale really helps me with my mental state and right now being lost feels like a great idea. There is just too much going on in my own little world, as well as in the real world, and without complaining here too much I feel like I'm losing the battle pretty fast... So step back from the norm Rudh and find a way to embrace the darkness... My darkness feels like a HUGE monster, lets make him more friendly and things will calm down once more?! I hope... 

In the garden of the Spinners, my monster floats through the light that breaks through the trees and the darkness... He's a cloaked Hornswoggle - made by Tardfish, available at the Fantasy Faire Aventurine Promenade to raise money for Race for Life - and though he lurks in the dark, when he comes into the light he's a lot less scary and more like a Ringwraith from the Lord of the Rings... 
He's always trying to scare the fae folk that wander through the gardens.. Rudh as a sassy little fae isn't one to mess with. I guess that's why I decided to take on my monster as a fae today... She's a little thorny, but she sparkles in the dark so that the monsters are intimidated. She's armed with her Willowvine Wand - from Simply Shelby at the Fantasy Faire Stoneveil Crossing Sim - and the magic within will keep her monster at bay...

Magic of the Fantasy Faire

Today is an important day today in Second Life, since today is the day that Race for Life opens it's Fantasy Fair and therefore the fantasy beings will be able to gather some amazingly wonderful things, experience just a little more magic and raise some funds that will head towards cancer research... 
Cancer Research is something very important but at the moment I am finding it more so than ever because of my mother being sick with Pancreatic Cancer... I would do anything to find a way for her to feel better right now... I would hope that any glimmer of magic could help... 

We are trying to find happiness in every little thing that we're doing, and we aren't planning things too far ahead so that she can just take things easy and let things happen as they happen... 
I'm searching for as much magic as I can in Second Life to help me get through this, so I can support her...

Poppies in Paradise

Fantasy has always been something I totally love, I've loved those fairytales I grew up with, I started  on Lord of the Rings when I was a young teenager, and now I'm addicted to bad boys in Dark Romances with fantasy twists... I have a love of creating fantasy type pictures in my Second Life, but I will admit that I often find myself intimidated by the likes of Fantasy Faire where everything is beautiful and everyone taking pictures of the things on offer and the locations that have been created make me feel I'll never be any good... 

Me being me though I couldn't resist the chance to get a little fantasy all over my rambling space... 
There are so many wonderful little fae folk, who are creeping out of the wood work to explore the faire and say hello... 
Poppy is one of those fae folk - available from BeSpoke in the Nox Aeterna area of the Fantasy Faire until May 4th - who you may bump into, her or one of her kind at least. These adorable little flower fae folk like to spend their time amongst the flowers, while their cousins live amongst the mushrooms, although both like to spend time relaxing somewhere peaceful. A Faelight Crescent Bench - from Simply Shelby, also at Fantasy Faire although this can be found in the Gwath location - in the Moonlight - which happens to be the name of the pose set from -Extra- that I've used, a set which includes more traditional moons for poses and is flipping awesome - can often be close their own form of Paradise...

A Dance in the Moonlight

I wanted a little magic today, it's King's Day in the Netherlands and it's a day that hasn't been celebrated properly since the out break of Corona over two years ago. It felt like magic to watch the people be able to enjoy the day as they always have... 
I think that somewhere the magical beings were smiling down, watching the people enjoy the festivities and for once enjoy a little peace in the country I call home. Now that the day is done, the magical beings have decided to enjoy the party too... There will be a party in the clouds, and the moon will like the ballroom... 

At the Aeonian - a backdrop from FOXCITY - the Moon Chairs - from Neverwish - have been plumped with extra pillows for those that have tired, dancing feet... 
The organiser of the party, a guardian of the moon, has been busy setting up the decorations is ready and waiting. Dressed in the attire of the moon guardians, a gorgeous Balika Dress - from Salt & Pepper - while her Beata Halo - from Evil Baby at The Warehouse - and her "Lunatic Enchantment" Moon Crystal - from PANIQ - sparkle in the moonlight.

The Faun in the Secret Garden

Today is the opening of the Fantasy Faire, a HUGE 20 sim event to raise money for Race for Life - the cancer charity - one of the biggest fantasy events that takes over the grid every year... Quests and shopping and parties that allow the fae folk to live a little more vibrantly... 
Although I haven't been able to get in to check out the pretty sims yet, the pretty little Faun in me decided to dance around in her own little Secret Garden and make herself pretty for the fun... 

It's Cake Day in the Synnergy Secret Garden... Why is is secret you ask, well that may be due to the fact that it's only known about by the Fae Folk, but they try hard to keep it a secret because although it looks pretty, it can be the site of much debauchery. That pretty metal butterfly in the corner isn't just a pretty sculpture - it's actually the Violetility "Butterfly Cross" - and the ropes hanging from it are not just beautifully tied decor - those are the Evil Baby "Sakura Blossom Set" which should be worn as accessories, but is so pretty I couldn't resist using it for decor! - those are the playthings of the debauched fae folk... If only we can keep the Birdy Turdies - from Tardfish that I have added an extra close-up of to get a better look at in the picture below - and the Butterflies - from MishMish - from seeing the naughtiness... 
Anyway, once the little faun - who is using the amazing legs and ears from Quills & Curiosities at Fantasy Faire's Bassett Town - dressed herself up in vines and flowers, ready to enjoy the party time of the Faire...

A Fairytale at the Faire

I I'm back to doing something fairytalish and girlie and very pretty!!! I tried to stay away but it always seems to be drawing me back to it and I LOVE the prettiness and the magic and the girlie sparkles! 
There is a little demonness princess living in the Queensgarden - a sim at the Fantasy Faire. It was here that she stumbled upon a magic mirror at the bottom of a courtyard pond. As she cleaned the surface, the image in it's reflection changed and allowed her to view things that she could have only dreamed of before... Visions of different worlds... 

The Queensgarden is my favourite of the Fantasy Faire Sims this year... While the others are great, to me this one is simply gorgeous! Around every nook and cranny, you'll find something pretty to marvel at, and there's flowers... Oh so many flowers! 
While we're on the subject of the Fantasy Faire though, the demoness wears some gorgeous sparkly body parts from Neverwish... The Dreamer Arms are a new release for the event, and the Big and Lil Dreamer horns have been added to the vendor booth - a set of each have been released in special colours to raise money for the RFL charity, if you check the colour of the large horns you will see the colour that is the special! 
I'm also sharing my first blogger item for the awesome store that is Celeste! I got accepted as a blogger for this store and I am super excited, they make some gorgeous things and I can't wait to show them to you!!

Protector of the Dragon Eggs

Taking a break from flowers today and decided instead that it was time to do something a little bit random. Something a little lost in fantasy, something lost in the middle of the deepest forbidden desert landscape... You have to be careful when crossing the sands... You never know who you might run into...

There's a mythical being hiding in the desert, guarding the last of the dragons eggs that have laid in wait until they are ready to hatch. She guards the newly hatched Wyvern Spawn - a release from Inner Demons at Engine Room - as her headless form casts crazy shadows thanks to her amazingly interesting Aetheric Navigator - from FIKA - but you had better not go near the last remaining Dragon Eggs. That glowing orb in her hand is the most dangerous weapon, and she's got a damn near accurate aim!!!

Keeping the Earth, Safe in it's Place!

Fantasy Faire is up and running, it's one of the biggest events of the year in SL that has been running for years, and raises millions of Linden Dollars for Relay for Life... As you might imagine it's all fantasy based, but for a girl like me it feels like wonderland... I bought more than I might normally because it was for a good cause but now my hoard is overflowing with new fantasy pretties! 
I fell in love with my new balloon, and that lead to the angel in me to float in the galaxy, keeping the earth safely in it's place... 

So the whole thing started because I fell in love with the Holding Planet from Boudoir, and then found the amazing make-up from Venge... Both of these things are available at the RLF Fantasy Faire, and yes you cannot really see the make up clearly but I have added a close up below.
All the pretties as she floats through space... Dancing through the stars, keeping the Earth safe in it's place!

Dreams of China... I'm blaming Disney's Mulan!

I am finally done with work before my vacation and to be honest it's making me a little giddy with happiness!!! It was so stressful and I'm free now for almost two weeks! Gotta love that holiday feeling - I still have packing to get done but for now... FREE!!! 
I wanted to show my happy feeling, and for some reason I decided that now was the right time to listen to a little Disney Music... This is turn lead to my photo becoming something of a weird Asian style, escape from my reality! I escaped to ancient China, and danced around in the formal gardens of Tian Ya Hai Jiao!

Now OK, my photo is also missing my head but I just wanted to focus mainly on my awesome leg accessories! Plus it kinda gives it that in the moment feeling and I LOVE the combination of colours, lighting and well... Outfit!
The Dress part of this outfit is a Luas release called Kamiko, but that's not the main focus here. I wanted to show off these awesome Evie Sandals from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - which are available now at Fantasy Faire with donations going to Relay for Life from every purchase! These strappy sandals teamed perfectly with the Ama Assassin Leg Straps, that a perfect for a little ninja in training like me!

Flair at the Fantasy Faire

Fantasy Faire 2015 is well under way in SL as we speak... This is one of those events that should not be missed, even if you are not one of those people with a shopping addiction, the settings alone of the 10 sims that make up the event are worthy of checking out too... I fell in love with at least one - the Poppetsborough Sim is the one that I love so far - but I do want to go back and check out the other 9 sims. 

The dress that I am wearing is an outfit that is an exclusive colour release from SAKIDE called Tatsu, which you can find located on the YoZakua sim. It comes with the fan and so when I tried it on I instantly needed to do something with a little flair! These dresses are one of the exclusives created by a participating store that is raising money for the Race For Life Charity... 
So anyway, back to the flair, I found the perfect pose from Image Essentials but I wanted something a little more striking... Then I remembered that ImmateriA released these amazing head dresses - this version of the Tuatha de Dannon Head Dress is Emain Ablach - and then painted some very dark Black Magic Make-Up from StarGazer Creations, to give it the flair that I needed... 
Raising Money, Awareness and looking fab while doing so... Makes Rudh a happy Rudh, and DON'T FORGET TO CHECK FANTASY FAIRE!!!
