Time for a little Dark Magic!

I need a little magic after the events of yesterday, and I'm really sorry but I really hope that the driver of the truck who decided to drive fast through a puddle and therefore soaked me for my whole day at work got caught in traffic with a case of explosive butt pee... There is very little chance that the magic I am channelling will be for good... It's like to be some kind of twisted, dark necromancer magic...  

Luckily in Second Life we are still experincing the magical effects of the Midnight Order. This event will be reaching it's halfway peak over the next few days and there will be plenty more chaos to make those that want the dark magic, able to find it... 
Take it from Rudh, a witness account if you will, one moment she was confessing her sin regarding the explosive butt pee in the Corrupted Churches' Confessional - which is a Midnight Order release from LORE by the way - and the next the magic was swirling as she becomes an Infernal Undead Lady Mortis awaiting her orders by the Necromancer's Necrohex Table - from BROKEN ARROWS also at Midnight Order!

Toxic Monsters

Are you one of those people that can flit through life without any care or concerns, trying to keep yourself smiling and without problems? Are you one of those people that seems to find yourself stuck in a rut, facing difficulties and wanting the world to stop? Do you live for drama and toxicity or are you happier when you can be left alone to enjoy some peace? I know that everyone is different and everyone has their own way of handling things, for me personally I'm an over-thinker, I have terrible anxiety and worry constantly about letting people down. It's a toxic, viscious cycle sometimes, and it's one that I'm trying hard to break free from... 

I am one of those people that over-thinks, over worries, and gets anxious about a lot of things, though perhaps unless you knew me really well you'd NEVER know that... I'm definitely not the only one with these feelings, they seem to becoming more and more predominant these days, but we all seem to have to our own ways of dealing with these emotions. I'm one of those people that aims to distract myself by reading or taking pictures in Second Life to make things become less focused on the bad, toxic feelings... Sometimes though my mood will guide my creativity... Today things are a little bit of a toxic monster...

Fishy Fun!

I felt like doing something a little random today, I am Rudh of the Random Ramblings after all and since yesterday I've been feeling like my body is just giving up, now that the stress is over... My cold is back with vengence, my back and legs ache, and OH I had a visit from mother nature. 
Right now, I want to distract myself with something a little random... Today we're going to let things get a little fishy... 

Have you ever found yourself looking at something in a shopping event and thinking, "Ooh I didn't know I needed one of those but now I can't live without it?!" That was the reason that I ended playing with the fishies today. The mermaid in me, NEEDED this... I had to have the FishBowl Top & Bra set - from Moon Amore, available now at Collabor88 - so that I could take the smaller fishies on walks with me. The Bigger fishies fit into the Dreamy Pond Bubbles that magically follow me when I walk, the smaller ones seem to slip through the bubble!

A Walk in the Jellyfish Fields

Mermaids come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes.. I LOVE mermaids of all different kinds, not just the fish tail style, but in this today I went a little jelly... A little wriggly with a zing in my step... It's a new version of Ariel, this time I'm a little bright and zingy... 

Wandering through the Jellyfish fields around the great city of Atlantis - created by The Guild - I stopped to chat with my old - but not like the Disney version - pal Snippy the Crab - who is a new release for the event from Quills & Curiosities. He's looking a little electrofied lit up in neon thanks to his crab fusion - which is available via one of he HUDs that are available alongside the crabs at The Guild! 
It's a lovely day to wander through the jellyfish fields and dance in the bubbles outside the city walls...

Time for Magic Practice

 Magic has taken over Second Life, and the Wizarding World has opened it's doors to welcome those of us that LOVE the magical feeling. I have to admit that I'm NOT a Harry Potter fan, so all of the intricacies that others might understand are past me, but I LOVE magic and cannot get enough of it... 
So today after work, I'm home and ready to practice my spells...

Nights on a Neon Beach

What a hectic day today, honestly I've not seen my day job so busy as it was today in such a long time, that my entire body has a feeling of ouchies... I'm sore all over lol... 
I think that I need a day to just switch off - in truth I need a trip home to my parents - and relax, let my hair down and do something fun... I think I'd like to go back to the beach, but this time I'm going to head to a beach that's a little more day-glo than fun in the sun...

What is it?!

It's been a long while since the mermaid in me was allowed out to her time in the limelight. She's been hiding away in the dark, murky waters until the light is able to flicker on the pool. 
While she was swimming around nearer the bottom of the lake at Lost Unicorn, the little mermaid was scavenging for human things - taking after her idol Ariel - when something really strange caught her eye. A glowing orb with a rainbow sheen, she had to investigate it with her little seahorse friends!

Her little steampunk horses - from Astara at Engine Room - warned her not to touch it, they were worried by the glow coming off the orb - which is actually a CELESTE Garden Orb that has been shrunk down to fit my hand size but at full size it's GORGEOUS for in the Garden! - but what is it?!
The opalescent rainbow colours had her mesmerized... Maybe it's a trick of the sea witch?!

Tentacle Monsters of the Deep

I LOVE BEING A MERMAID! Aside from the fact that I'm a living dead dolly I either tend to allow my fae or my mermaid form take over and run riot from time to time and recently there has been a LOT of Mermaid me taking control of the way my avatar is dressed! It's not my fault, I can't stop myself shopping and there are so many different shopping events that are filled with Mermaid stuff... 

This time, although the colours are pink and blues, in pale shades, she's actually a little more of a dark sea monster with tentacles and a pulsing heart that shows through her skin! She hides in wait at the Lost Unicorn, for a prince to come looking for his Little Mermaid - forget the Disney ending though this one will be stealing his soul! 
The pulsing heart that shows through he chest controls all of her power, it's beat pulsing the evil through her veins and glowing as she's hungry for more human souls... It's a brand new release from FIKA, for Mermaid Cove, and it's gorgeous - though Maitreya users please bear in mind that this can be tricky to fit to the body type since it's not rigged for Maitreya and the unrigged pieces will need some adjustments to fit it properly! 
While on the subject of Mermaid Cove though, I can't help but point out this adorable Sirena Skirt and Thigh Tentacles look that comes from 1313 MockingBird Lane! The skirt and tentacles are available separately, but were designed so that they can be worn together! This gives them a lot of versatility - which everyone should know by now I LOVE - and because of the colours and patters they are a great fun pair of items! 
She may be under the sea, but she's damn glam with it...

Who wants an Ice Cream?

Have to go back to work today, after having a week off due to the RL Parental visit, but I'm actually pretty looking forward to it! I wish it was cooler, but hey ho, what do you expect in the summer?! Soon it will be winter again and I will feel happier!!! 
So as I'm getting ready for work today, I feel like drinking a coffee with you here and making Rudh do something workwise. In RL I work in a cheese store, but Rudh, well she can remain cool and sell something yummy... ICE CREAMS!!!

Snack Time for the Mermaid at the Zoo

Ever feel like you need a break, be it a change of routine, a chance to escape from the every day life or even just a different view out the window... 
It's at times like this that I tend to slip into the world of crazy fantasy in my head, and the best characters are created... Sometimes it's fae, others demon but in a few cases I tend to release the inner mermaid into the light... 
Today is a mermaid day! Today, the mermaid that is being held captive at the zoo is being fed her favourite delicacy of goldfish... 

She's the number 1 attraction at the local zoo... They vary her style throughout the day, sometimes she has a tail and others the water is drained so she's on her skinny legs. She's fed in a punchbowl full of sparkling water and goldfish, which she's developed a habit for drinking in wineglasses - thanks to the awesome "Snack" pose by Reve Obscura - dressed in the sheerest of dresses from MuggleBorn.

Psycho Ward Demon

So starting off the new year as I mean to go on... It's time for something a little dead! That's the way Rudh is, she's either rainbows and sunshine or dead! Sorry I cannot help that, and I actually really enjoy it... Sometimes it's weird to admit that the more dead she looks, the happier I am... I know that's weird but that's me! I'm happy being me and I'm not changing for anyone!!
Now I've had a bit of an addiction to Gacha for a while... I'm going to try and beat it, I HAVE TO to stop spending so much money. However, before Christmas I went just a little crazy at the last round of LootBox Gacha and HAD to have the set from ANTINATURAL... A collaboration made in collaboration heaven that got me checked into the Psycho Ward from Hell... 

I fell in love with the set from ANTINATURAL and HAD TO HAVE IT... It's the brain child collaboration of CURELESS - which everyone should know by now I am a little addicted to - and a store I've not heard of before called anxiety, which I will be checking out as soon as I'm done writing my post today. I NEEDED the Rare Lootbox dress, which I luckily won without trying too many times, and also got many of the accessories including this awesome backdrop and wheelchair! 
Yet it was the Glass Jar that seemed to bring it all together, a "L'annulaire" My Monster display jar, which I picked up at a past Cosmopolitan from ROIRO, which seemed to fit so perfectly into the scene that my mind went into over drive... 
Not only was I a Psycho patient, I was also a demonic monster... Wet hair - from ARGRACE - and some awesome demon horns with hanging hair tendrils - from DOUX - and a cylinder to pump Cyanide through my veins, and hopefully I would remain a calmer patient... 
Not sure how that will work, if you look at the awesome Wolf Frame with Moon Phase Art in my room - thanks to Candle & Cauldron - and that uncomfortable looking Peasant Bed - from Violetility - will affect my mood, but for now at least I'm restrained somewhat?!!

ZomMers of the Deep

Today is a day for sticking with the theme of yesterday LOL, not sure how long I can play with this theme like this consecutively but I am really enjoying making mystical dead things... First the Deadicorn now a Zombie Mermaid... Would that be a Zommaid? A Zommer? A Merbie? LOL silly, but she came out looking awesome!!! The Zombie Terror of the Seven Seas!!

This little Zommer was created all thanks to a release from Moon Amore at the Indie Teepee Festival - now I will admit that at first I was a little put off by these mertails as they are bright colours and I'd have loved one in a natural bone colour, BUT after trying a demo I NEEDED one in my lift and felt spoilt for choice with the five different pastel colours, opting for a pretty orange shade to match the awesome goldfish in the Disorderly Stay Gold Fishbowl!
Beware in the waters at the Mermaid Sanctuary - though just while I am posting this, the location is actually totally gorgeous - the Carrie of the mermaids, this little Zommer is out there... She's scarred, she's dangerous and she's hungry for the flesh of the Merfolk!

Nightmares Under The Sea

I love playing dress up, and I love dark and macabre, and I love exploring... So when these three things combine, it makes for a very happy Rudh indeed. 
I was able to get my hands on a new release from one of my crush stores, and within the space of an hour or so I was told about a new Cica Ghost Art Sim... Wouldn't you know, the combination of these two things was PERFECT! 
Today we're going deep sea diving... Better bring your waterproofs!!

Cica Ghost has always made some very beautiful and interesting sims to explore, and although they aren't around for very long, when a new one pops up it's something that is a must-see for me. This time is no different, and the Under the Sea sim is filled with wonderful creatures of all shapes and sizes, and for today only, one extra guest... ME!!
The reason I decided that I needed to be here, was partly due to the amazing release from Nightmare for this year's Depraved Nation Luck of the Irish Gacha Fair. The items come separately but can be collected to form a "Cracken Attack" set - shown here in black and only missing the tentacles from the back and the head - in a range of different colours. Of course, once I had the tentacles in place my mind ran away with me. I found an old necklace from erare that drew my mind towards Ursula - Little Mermaid's Sea Witch - and so more Tentacle Marks - like the ones available from NOX - were needed. Then of course, as she was under the water, she needed some kind of Mermaidishness - yes I know it's not a real word LOL - which was where the Siren Carving Scars - from Evermore - come into play!
It's a dressing up costume that pleases me... It's caused me to start singing the Little Mermaid Classic "Under the Sea" but meh it's a song I can live with... In fact perhaps, so will you LOL...

Cyanide Serum Make-Over

Toxicity... Poisonous... Dangerous and Deadly... Right now I'm at the point of if you mess with me you will be shown my darker side. They say there are 5 stages of various feelings after a loss, but that's possibly because they haven't yet met Rudh! I seem to be going through 5 stages PER DAY! 
Still today is going to be a me day, I am going to get out and get some fresh air and try not to think about the craziness going on in life... 
Rudh on the other hand is prepping herself for war it seems... Filling herself with Cyanide!! 

You can get the serum that you need for various different things from Evermore at this month's SaNaRae... They come in a set so that you will always be prepared for any situation that you need a boost! 
Just as a warning - or at least in my case thanks to some awesome new releases at the coming Skin Fair - the serum has affected my look for the day! 
My Eye Make-Up and Lipstick tinged with the same Aqua Green as the liquid in the bottle - thanks to two new skin fair releases from SongBird called "Gretchen" and "Tripp Lips" respectively - but the most interesting change was the appearance of a row of tiny little hearts - Lovefool available at Skin Fair from SongBird by the way -  that dotted her cheeks once she started taking the serum! It's changed her so much even her hair and eyes have been altered! 
Just so you know though, I know I've mentioned Skin Fair... I am afraid to tell you that right now you're going to have to wait just a little longer... The Skin Fair opens tomorrow at 12PM SLT! Not long now I know, but there are some AMAZING things to come, so maybe it's time for a make-over... Maybe one powered by Serum like Rudh's?!
