Be Proud and Love who you are!

It's June, and aside from the fact that Hair Fair is running to raise money for Wigs for Kids, it's Pride Month and therefore we have a lot more things to both celebrate and bring awareness to... Every year Pride is celebrated all over in Second Life, as well as in RL, and although it should be something we celebrate all day, every day, I dont see any harm in raising any extra awareness as often as we can... 

Pride is such an important thing. It's unfortunate that even these days, people face hatred and discrimination for the way they want to be and the people that they love, and seriously that is something that needs to stop. I admit that these days I am straight, happy and consider myself a straight ally, but I really believe that people should be allowed to love whoevery they want, and they should be allowed to live however they choose... So long as no one gets hurt, the world would be a much better place for it... 
Once again Pride@Home has opened its city streets and blasted the Second Life world with rainbow colours and patterns to match those of the LGBTQ+ community. There are sales events and music events, parties, contests, photography showcases and so much more, and they aren't the only ones running Pride events this month. 
It feels very much that the world needs a little more love right now... Love is Love, no matter what. Maybe if there was a little more love in the world, then it wold be a better place...

An Egyptian Goddess, Wadjet!

I woke up this morning feeling too hot and bothered, it was too early to get out of bed but I couldn't bare the thought of just laying there and stewing in my own headachy blahness... It lead to me being weirdly creative... 
It lead to my mind disappearing to a faraway land and a time long ago, and where the magic of the old gods could be felt within the desert sands walls... To a Bright and Magical Luxor Night... 

We know so much of the magic that went along with the stories of the Egyptian Gods but there are some that are more famous than others. Whilst on our trip together today, we have come across the beautiful goddess Wadjet - although this is more like my Monster High kinda version probably - who was revered as a protector of kings of the ower kingdom... She and her cobra head were seen as a symbol of protection and sovereignty, apparently...
Our Monster High styled version of Wadjet, seems a little more disgruntled at yet more statues of the senior gods, where the heck was the new one she'd been promised... She's a Naga Vaelric - a release from BeSpoke that can still be grabbed today at the Vintage Fair but it closes on the 16th so maybe you'll have to head to the mainstore - and she deserves to have EgyptianTales told...

Beep! Beep! Outta the way...

BEEP! BEEP!! Outta the way, Rudhie's on the move and she's coming through biatches!!! 

She's driving here and she often confuses the break with the gas pedal! BEEP BEEP!!! 

The small, quiet, town of Garrigua doesn't realise what has hit them, as Rudh cruises around town like a bat out of hell in her adorable little Moon Rabbit BabyCar, in it's bright happy yellow colour... I'm not sure the locals like it much by the way the locals are watching her in the distance, but her little Boston Pup - from Foxwood at Kustom9 - friend seems to be loving the wind through his fur!!

Extra, Extra... Read all about it!

Extra, Extra... Read all about it! Today's News states that Rudhmellowen is tired in RL and plans to spend the summer in a reverse bear-like state, hibernating during the coming warm Summer months!
It's not really a scoop, I've been feeling tired for a while, but there's no rest of the wicked and I don't think that any time soon I'll be able to follow through with my hibernating plan... 

Still makes for a cute idea... Selling newspapers will also help to fund my shopping habits I guess, but that's more work for me... Seems to be a re-occurring thing for me most of the time that!
Although I guess, at least when Rudh does it, she looks cute all the time - unlike the real me that gets worn out and looking like I've had a fight with a gorilla LOL...
At the Pseudo Magazine Stand, located on Backdrop City, Rudh has taken a position selling the newspapers and in true Rudh style she's doing so looking fairly cute! A little, vintage perhaps?! Maybe that's due to her choice of outfit though, a look made up of a Vintage Shirt and Vintage Pants Set from FIKA - that funnily enough you can find at the Vintage Fair until June 16th! Although, I guess it doesn't help that I added the HUGE soft scarf and then the Consume Hair from Moon with it's adorable flat cap...

Tattoos on a Biker Chick

One of my favourite things about SL is that I can be covered in tattoos and scars... I'm never normally seen without at least one scar on my face and my major tattoo all over my torso and arms, but the reason I love them so much here is possibly because I'm too chicken to have anything done in RL. I want a RL tattoo, I have the idea in my mind, and am in talks with a friend of HellBone's to possibly get one, but when it comes to Rudh, I have no problem covering her in tattoos because, well, Pain Free!!! 

I've worn tattoos for a long while now, and I will admit that I tend to be a little picky about them... I LOVE Mandala style tattoos, don't ask me why, I know there are so many different styles out there and it's just the one that I seem most in love with. There are also a LOT of stores that cater to my favourite style tattoos, but I have to say that I am always drawn back to the tattoos at White Widow. I love their quality, and designs, and this "Spotlight" Tattoo is one that I have worn for a long while now. It was exciting to think about tattoos, when I discovered this awesome little tattoo shop at TM8, while looking for a location to show off my adorable new top, and tease with the cute new pants too... 
The tops of these pants that you can see are a bit of a tease I know, they are a new release from WONDERLOST at the Vintage Fair, and I'm hoping to be able to show you them full length sometime soon LOL... It was the top though that I really wanted to share with you right now. It's a new release from Nightmare - which can be picked up at the main store - and it's cute with the top and bra combination. The Bra comes in a few different colours, and the tops have varying things written on them, many of them labels for MC members, such as President, Sgt@Arms and Prospect. I've asked Nightmare's owner if there will ever be a Secretary one added because well, that's the one I really need, but for now being labelled an asshole works because it makes me laugh! Many people would probably agree with it! I'm hoping there are at least a few that wouldn't?! 
Plus it's really handy to show off all that extra space which would be perfect for a new tattoo... What should I get I wonder?!

Vintage Movies

Not been back in Holland long and so far everything seems to have been non-stop action... There were Gator things to do, including a wedding of my MC brother and sister - Mas and Anisa! I had photography that needed to be caught up on, and blogging to do, and I had to work too, but tonight all that stops once again as HellBone and I are having a second date night... Last night, we were rocking out with Five Finger Death Punch and today is the turn of Mr. Rob Zombie YAY!!! Two of my favourite bands in two days!!! OH MY GAH!!! 
I have decided though that Rudh shouldn't just be forgotten... She's been allowed on on the town for a little bit of Vintage Glamour! 

She's going to a movie a the WHOLE WHEAT Vintage Movie Theatre... It's unusual that the RL me is doing something more exciting than her and she deserves a little rest time hehe... 
Of course she had to dress for the part though, and luckily there is a little event running now called Vintage Fair - which runs until June 25th I should say - and it was at this event she stumbled upon the perfect outfit. Her dress is one from Nightmare, a High Tea Dress, with just the right rockabilly 50's feel to it, and YES she's wearing it with pink! Teamed with a matching coloured pair of Bouvardia Heels from Empire, she looks perfect for the part and definitely fits that vintage theatre look!! 
I hope a good movie is showing for her... As for the real me, I'm still coming down from an FFDP high and I warn you, it's probably going to be worse tomorrow LOL... Good luck everyone!

Rudh joined the Mickey Mouse Army

Monday Morning, June 20th, and it's raining! It's a true Summers Day here in this part of Europe... One of the funniest realisations came to me this morning... When I initially moved to Holland, all of the Dutch people would tell me that the weather here was better than it is in the UK... NEWS FLASH TO THE DUTCHIES OUT THERE - the weather here is no different to the weather in the UK, it's windier, true, but it rains just as much!!
Still as it's Monday, it's time for me to pull up my big girl panties and swing into fighter mode... I have to work with someone I'm sure you've heard me complain about before, and right now I need to be ready... Perhaps channelling Rudh's latest Army style will give me the power to fight and ignore the irritations in the office?!

This fighter in the Mickey Mouse Army, just happens to be Rudh! She's enjoying a moment's peace - and some WHOLE WHEAT - while she prepares to face any drama that may come her way, and unfortunately knowing SL as well as I do, that won't be too far away.
Her military uniform is made up of the awesome katat0nik "Button Up Romper", which is available this month for Collabor88, and the surprisingly great with the romper "Adrianna Boots" from Pure Poison! Oh and of course not forgetting her whole stack of accessories too...
I'm hoping she's ready for war... I feel it's coming!!!
