The Genie is OUT!

It's Halloween Season... That means there is likely to be a lot of horror, a great big helping of blood, and definitely a great deal of dressing up... I may not make it horrifically deadly all month but you know me, I LOVE being able to play dress up...
Last post was a Pirate, today we're as far away from the sea as can be although the fairytale magic still prevails, but our adventures have taken us to the Sinking Sands of the Desert to another Arabian Night...

Within the mirrors that hold the magic of the sands you may stumble across the Genie's lost lamp... Though if you do find it in the sand, becareful what you wish for... Wishes are made to be broken, wishes are made to be corrupted, and the genies of the lamp are known to be tricky so that they can twist your desires to suit their own wicked deeds...

Summoning Demons

 It's been a few days now but I'm done with working and tomorrow is my day off work... I cannot wait for a day to relax and all I'm planning to do is picture taking... I'm going to have a lovely day of playing with my clothes and making pretties... 
I have a lot to share but I'm not going to rush into things, I'm going to let my inner demonness be drawn into the light, I'll summon her and let her magic decide which direction our creativity will flow... Sometimes she stays in the darkness, others she flickrs into the pretty rainbows of spring... Who knows where we will end up?! 
But first we have to summon her from her demonic slumber...

Meeting Friends On Farm Lane

Had finally been able to have a day off, somewhere that I could laze about and relax in my jammies with a cuppa tea and a fuzzy blanket, but that didn't stop Rudh from needing to get out into the fresh air and stop to smell the flowers. 
It was decided that I've been going into the city too much and needed a day in the countryside. Somewhere that the air is fresh, the flowers are springing up as an early sign of Spring and it's not only the flowers are new to the sunlight... 

I'd been walking through the rural landscape, and saw the prettiest of flowers - plants in a bundle from kotte, available until April 10th at Kustom9 - that I had to pick a couple of blooms to take home as a momento of my happy day... I was happily humming along, wandering down a Farm Lane - which happens to be a new backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - when I noticed that I wasn't alone... Turning I noticed that I must have made one of those rookie countryside mistakes, apparently I'd left the gate open and one of the farms new babes had slipped through the gap and followed me down the lane... Momma looked on through the gate, ensuring the safety of her little calf, somehow knowing the city slicking, cow girl would find a way to see her baby home...

Fairy Parties in Wonderland

I cannot believe it, I've been named blogger of the month for Synnergy.. It it's a total and complete surprise, and I never would have thought that I'd be chosen since I take such random, crazy, weird pictures... It's one of the things I love about Synnergy, they create things that are random, all over the place and this helps my creativity soar... 
Take today, I went to a wonderful party in the woods with the fairies to dance with the satyrs... 

This place in the woods is like a Wonderland - a backdrop from Synnergy - it's a fun time to come and dance in the dappled sunlight... I dressed the part so I'm able to fit in, and my inner fairy was allowed out to the suface for some fun...

Steampunk Ghost Hunting

Lately all of my posts have been light and sweet, but the weather has changed and now I'm feeling like doing something a little dark and gloomy... Not that I'm unhappy, but when it's gloomy outside, it feels nice to do something warm and cosy and mysterious... 
I find myself getting swept away into a magical world, where magic can guide you to far off places, where the ghosts and monsters are the foes we seek to vanquish... 

In the Forgotten Library - a backdrop from Minimal - while the snow is beginning to settle outside, the ghost hunter took a check on her hand-held device, and took a look at all of the information on her desk as she prepared for her hunt - the Haunting Items Collection is available until April 20th at The Engine Room. Fairy Garden Party Food

So I have had bloggers block, and I've been working hard to help HellBone and the team to create this years Halloween event under our new brand - Dark Adventures -  along with being full of cold, I've kinda put the breaks on everything mentally that's not relatd those things... 
Yet today I decided to let myself slip my mind into the fairytale realm and decided to have some fun time in my brand new dress... I did a little fairytale grocery shopping... 

In the garden, there's a little shed, where the fairies are gathering to have a little party. Rudh dressed up in her prettiest of Blossom Dresses - from lassitude & ennui at We <3 RP - it's a prety dress made from flowers!! She's been to the shops and bought a package of drinks and some flowers in a cone - from Dust Bunny - they are Blooming, and I really hope that's what the fairies like to eat...

Which Portal Would You Choose?

Sunday... It can only mean one thing... Tomorrow is Monday and the dreaded start to a new week! HOWEVER, it is still technically the weekend, and I'm going to chillax just a little longer... Put on some happy making music, and dance like no one is watching... I'm going to let the music take me on a journey into the mystical unknown BUT as with any journey, which path do I chose... The light or the dark?! 

It's almost a little psychedelic today, a little like a trip to somewhere transcending normality... Where the stars and light brighten up your vision to confuse as to the portal - from [not a peep] at the Gacha Guild by the way - maybe you should ask the one holding the key?! 
She's an ancient, mystical being, and she radiates light and music... The planets dance on her halo - a rare prize in the Doe Saturna Gacha at the current round of  The Arcade -  that floats around her dainty little horns. The only sign of her human weakness, is the fact that this little goddess would be blind without her super cute little glasses that are just "Over the Moon" - and a current group gift from Zombie Suicide!

Standing in the Stones

In the middle of a working week, when I spend less time in SL than I would have before, I am finding myself re-watching the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies... I have loved the movies since they first came out, and have loved the books for even longer, but they make amazing places to drift off to - a fantasy realm away from the drudgery of RL at the moment. 
Now while I'm thinking about it, and have the Tolkein world in my mind, I remembered I'd gotten my hands on some of the pretties that came from Enchantment and well, even though it's Viking Saga themed this round, these things seemed to go hand in hand. I was swept away to a world of Viking Dwarven magic... 

By all means, this is a little different from the kind of pictures I've been playing with of late, but it's inspired by my RL movie watching and love of things that are both Viking and Tolkein. People may not know this but I'm actually an Archaeologist by degree and had a specialisation in Vikings as my historical period of choice. 
The Viking warrior woman made her journey to the sacred standing stones - part of the new collection released by LOVE at Enchantment - and set up her camp. Resting her axe and shield against the stones, he etched her initials onto one of the scattered stones and waited. The magic did not take long before it started, swirling around in the air.

The Fairy Captives Escapes with the Crystal...

In the magical steampunk cities of Piltover and Zaun, where the feuding factions are fighting over the magical powers contained within the waters that surround this gorgeous urban sprawl... The inhabitants in hiding, while the captured fairy makes her escape through the steampunk streets, hiding in the shadows before she darts into the natural surroundings of the park to join her other fairy comrades... She got the crystal...

The crystal is a release from STOIC for the latest round of Kawaii Project - called the MAJIKKU Crystal - and she's happily "borrowed" it from the two cities... Taking it back with her into the fae realm... 

The chain around her neck is the remaining vestiges of her capture at the hands of the humans - a STATIC at We <3 RP release by the way - but it was her wings that most intrigued her human captors... Never had they seen the Steampunk Fairy's wings with their mechanical elements- which are a gorgeous release from lassitude & ennui... 

She has remained still for too long, her pretty little companions remind her in their tinkling speech... They must disappear... They must take the crystal home...

The Wolves Watch Over Her

Deep in the caves under The Empire of Dreaming Books, you'll find the labyrinth of tunnels filled with all different kinds of secret texts that hold the mysteries of life... There are many that seek this knowledge, and not all of those people have the best of intentions... There are those that want the dark magic, they are devious and will do whatever it takes... 

Rudh is one of these dark, depraved souls... She's come down with some deep need for some very dark magic and has heard that the books in these caves hold the secrets she desires. 
She's a Witch, hiding in the darkness until anyone who approaches passes, her wolf guardian keeping watch - as who would even notice a giant wolf in the dark...

Purple for the Bees

Spring flowers are in abundance at the moment and I'm so happy to see the pretty colours and smell all those gorgeous smells... I love the cacophony of colours, and even though I'm not so much of a purple, sometimes you can't help but get swept up in it... 

The pretty spring flowers just happen to be purple today... Pansies - from LODE at Shiny Shabby - and some gorgeous Wisteria - from Love . All these flowers drew in some new friends... Bumblebees have moved into my garden, and are making themselves at home... I am so happy to see that since they are such cute little things... 
All this purple was affecting me in a few ways, the colour of my eyes started to change to match the colours of the flowers - thanks to these gorgeous new Willow eyes from Psycho.Byts that are available at Cosmopolitan - and then to finish the look I wanted something equally pretty, equally fairy tale to match the gorgeous setting... Protector of the Dragon Eggs

Taking a break from flowers today and decided instead that it was time to do something a little bit random. Something a little lost in fantasy, something lost in the middle of the deepest forbidden desert landscape... You have to be careful when crossing the sands... You never know who you might run into...

There's a mythical being hiding in the desert, guarding the last of the dragons eggs that have laid in wait until they are ready to hatch. She guards the newly hatched Wyvern Spawn - a release from Inner Demons at Engine Room - as her headless form casts crazy shadows thanks to her amazingly interesting Aetheric Navigator - from FIKA - but you had better not go near the last remaining Dragon Eggs. That glowing orb in her hand is the most dangerous weapon, and she's got a damn near accurate aim!!!

The Grubby Friends Search for Grub!

Now that I've updated myself I had to try and do something that's very important for me... The Living Dead Doll in me needs to be able to get out sometimes. So it was time to test out how the zombie me looks with my new face... The Living Dead Doll was set free... 
She's lurking in dark places, hiding from the light, and this time she's not alone... While having been in hiding she's found herself a new set of grubby little friends... 

Hiding at the Ministry of Darkness, the Living Dead Doll peeks out of the shadows. Her Grubby Friends - the current group gift from FIKA - forcing her out of hiding to find some fresh - yet rotten - food... 
There's a limitation on brains, this zombie girl will settle for something simple... Maybe Pizza?!

Excavations in the Desert

I let my mind wander away to far away places today... Drifting back to thoughts of the course that I studied during my days at University, the days when I had aspirations of becoming a world renowned archaeologist. Running excavations in far flung places and finding the most amazing reminders of the past... My mind wandered, and I ended up in a beautiful desert location, with an excavation to find the fossils of an unknown dinosaur... 

I know that Archaeology is human, and Paleontology is Dinosaur - but I've been rewatching the old episodes of Friends so blame Ross - but I fell in love with the way that my excavation site started to come to life... Like something out of the old photographs of when Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon excavated for Tutankhamun!
The site was actually a combination of things to give it that amazingly - almost Moroccan - feeling... After the Trompe Loeil Teigen Glamping Tent was set up, I threw so many items from the Petite Mort Zingara Collection around to make it feel soft and cosy, whilst remaining cool and shaded! Lastly, and well because it wouldn't be a good excavation without a few tools, I added some of the Fossil Hunter collection from Consignment and it felt perfect... Ready! 
All it needed was a cute and light outfit and I was ready... Thank you Belle Epoque - for the Anne dress -  and Lassitude & Ennui - for these awesome boots!!!

Piggies for a Princess

I have always been a bit of a collector - when I was younger I'd collect key rings, or erasers. I went through a phase of collecting Minnie Mouse stuff, and now days I have some weird and wonderfully odd collections. Yet recently in SL I've found myself amassing quiet a large number of pigs?! Daddy's girl is a little piggy - that's a fetish right?! - but when I was organizing all of my goodies, there seemed to be quiet a lot... 

That's not all of them in the photo by the way, those are just the tip of the iceberg, and what's even weirder is that in RL I'm not actually a fan of pigs all that much?! I mean they are cute, and very intelligent beings, but they just wouldn't get me crazy collecting them!!
Ther are just so many piggies, I don't really know where to start!! Part of the collection is actually a release from Inner Demons - the Piggy Chair, the jar and one of the cushions all form parts of the Everything Piggies Gacha Collection, and I guess when I saw everything piggies I kinda went with it, rolling on the rest LOL... I went to town decorating my babygirl dream bedroom with piggies!
All these soft piggies are perfect for when she wants to bask in the Afterglow, which leads me in fact to a couple of new releases straight out of the Afterglow event! This adorable "Bridget" Nightwear - worn here in a tan colour which is just one of a selection of colour combinations - from Tooty Fruity, and the even more adorable Astara "Timeout Chair" for Daddy's Princesses that misbehave are brilliant new releases available until February 6th at Afterglow!

The Warmth of the Winter Sun

A day off, and I feel like being lost in my own little fantasy world... No one to want me, no one to disturb my peace and only things I like to do... Today I'm lost in a little fantasy world, hiding in the garden creating my own shadows to avoid the light... 

In the Lost Unicorn garden, she hides in the fairy garden... Wandering through the flowers with her Celestial Bloom Parasol - from Lovely Alien - in her gorgeous Elemental Top and Leggings - from lassitude & ennui - she's hiding from the light but enjoying the warmth of the late winter sun...

Whodoo Voodoo... I doo?!

I know that Halloween is over but seriously I cant resist myself one more dark and Samhain themed post because well, for me every day is Halloween! It's not just a seasonal thing, I live dark and macabre all year round. 
As the Halloween magic fades though, there's just time for one more spell... A little voodoo just to wave bye bye to both troubles with people that don't deserve me missing them, and as a bye bye to the Halloween Season... 

I put the fun in funeral and I definitely put the fun in voodoo... I LOVE having dolls for times when I don't want to have to deal with the drama of people acting like assholes! Heading to the Upward Spiral, she wanders around the levels and finds a quiet corner to cast a little voodoo spell on those that hurt her...

Spreading Magic in the Misty Gardens

Fantasy draws me back time and time again, I have never been a girl that was able to just take normal fashion shots... For me if I'm working on something blogging wise it should be something pretty, sparkly and lost in a magical realm... 
Today I drifted back into a fantasy, and ended up spreading magic in The Outer Garden with the prettiest dragons... 

The adorable little dragons are available from lassitude & ennui at The Ark until September 22nd, and they can be found in a range of different colours, so you can mix and match them depending on your mood, attitude or element of choice! 
I skipped around the Outer Garden, although my face wrapped in it's ribbon was in a lot of pain due to the painful head injury that was sustained in a recent fight, the little demon was still able to spread some of her devious magic over the peaceful place... Disguised as stars, for easy hiding, she can sit back and watch the chaos unfold...

Looking through the Spyglass

The planet was not the safest of places but for the exiled Princess, heading back to her homeland was not something she had hoped to endure. Outcast due to the corruption of her dead father's government, she was a princess on the run! Luckily for her, the small band of miscreants that remained loyal had gathered together tools that she may need, if she was to break into the royal house and take back what belonged to her! 
Surveying the palace from her hidden vantage point, she takes a look through her father's telescope, what she's searching for is unclear, but there HAS to be something... 

OK OK Maybe I went off into fairytale land again, it's not like it happens often at the moment, but this picture seemed to do that to me! It's a Princess of Pandora Planet, I blame her for bringing out the fairytale!
Would you believe that the idea for this outfit came from the combination of the FIKA Duchess Fringe Tiara and the lassitude & ennui Revenge Dress, that are both available at the current round of We <3 RP! To finish the look off, I added some of the items from the Voodoo Tribe Gacha collection by CUREMORE - a collaboration between Moon Amore and Cureless... The Hair, the Scarves and the Bangles are all a part of this gacha collection! 
I wonder what she can see through that spyglass?!

Dragon Eggs for an Elven King

Sundays are a magical time... The time of the week when it's still the weekend and it can be as much of a lazy day as you want it to be, but also there's that dread in the back of your mind as work looms on the horizon. 
It's days like today when my mind slips into a fantasy place, and I start day dreaming... Today my dreams take me to a mystical elven kingdom, where the pretty elf maidens are in the process of preparing a delicious brunchfast for their elven king... On the menu this morning, freshly procured dragon eggs... 

The elven warriors were sent on a mission to reclaim the White Gems of Lasgalen - yes it's a Hobbit reference, if you have no idea look it up LOL - but although the Dragon kept all of his precious hoard on this day, the warriors were lucky to escape with both their lives, and a delicacy fit for their king. Dragon Eggs are the BackBone of the Elven Speciality Delicacies, especially when the king has them brought to him by one of his scantily clad beauties.
For those of you wondering by the way, the outfit is actually a dress by Fetch - which I had to add my own panties to, just in case you're a little shy - called Sarella Gown, that I chose to wear with some Lassitude & Ennui Zornhau Boots. Both of these things, along with the Dragon Eggs, are available to pick up at The Final Winter - this event is based on Game of Thrones but even if you haven't seen it there are plenty of awesome and pretty goodies that can be used away from that context too!!!
