Bunny Washing Day

Today was my last day at work before my vacation starts tomorrow. Tomorrow I'm heading to see my family in England and it's definitely not going to be the easiest of visits home... I am worried about a lot of things, but for right now I'm just ready to slip away from reality... 
For right now, this is my last day at work and I'm going to work as well as I can...  

It's a day at the Bubble Blvd - which happens to be a backdrop from FOXCITY for the current round of Collabor88 until July 6th - and it's bunny washing day as the Cottontail Cruiser - cute little companions from everfaery at equal10 - Biker Gang was in town and needing a way to sparkle and cool down all at once... 
I was perfectly willing to assist them pre-soak, until I got tangled in one of the hoses at the Bubble Blvd - which happens to be a top set created by Rosary in collaboration with the FOXCITY Backdrop release! 
It all went down hill and I ended up soaked after that LOL...

A Weekend with the Class Pet!

As it's the weekend, many people have the next two days off...I've been working Saturdays in the cheese shop for  while so I am not one of them but come Sunday I can relax a bit or at least not have to go to work anyway LOL... Relaxing won't happen until we move into the flat for a few months... 
As a kid I ALWAYS loved when the school bell rung on Friday afternoon and it meant we had two days without school. There was always one thing that I'd heard about with friends in other schools though that we never had the experience of... Someone always had the luck of being able to take home the class pet... 

One of my friends even got to bring her class rat home once, I don't think that her mother was too pleased at having a rat in the house over the half-term holidays but it was fun to be able to see it for a while... SO in homage to that I decided that this weekend I'd be the one to bring the class pet home, since I was always a teacher's pet I think I deserve the treat don't you? 
I've packed up all my school supplies and I'm ready to head home, but I cannot forget to collect B-Rat-nee Spears - who is a Button Ears Dumbo Rat from Aardvark at the current round of ACCESS until February 8th - and I'm all set to go home!!!

Today is Cleaning Day!

It's been a day of cleaning and sorting for me today... Still so much to do before we have to move out of our house for 6 months. I'm stressing, and I'm wondering HOW we wil ever get things done... It's not just the packing and sorting, it's also the bloody basic chores that we have to do on a normal daily basis... It's just getting to be too much... I had to find a way to get through the drudgery...

For me there is only one way to get through the cleaning mundanity at the moment and that is some very loud cheesy music... I've been dancing around today listening to the old boyband classics... Take That, Boyzone, Five and many other of the original Brit boybands of the 90s and 00s... Take That will always be my true love, and if you've no idea who I'm talking about you're welcome to ask me any time. I'm going to see them again this summer with my mum, sister and cousin and I'm SUPER excited!!! I cannot wait... 
Still time to get on with the cleaning... I do that and have time to dance with my Dancing Kittiens - from MishMish at Kustom9 until February 10th - they seem to be enjoying the music as much as I am...

Sing Your Heart Out!

I hate days that I have to do chores around the house, although tomorrow my parents are coming over for a visit for a few days and I am really looking forward to seeing them. It does mean that I have to get myself motivate myself to get things done... I've put the music on loud and I'll be dancing around as I'm cleaning up, singing along to the cheesy pop blasting from my speakers... 

I love music, I love it live and loud better... I know some people ove Karaoke bars, I've done Karaoke once and I really had fun but I don't think that I'd want to do it again. I remember being dressed as a Rocky Horror character and getting up on stage with some of my roommates to sing the Time Walk! I don't think I'd ever be abe to do it again, and definitely not on my own... I'm far too shy, but Rudh definitely wouldn't let that hold her back... 
She got dressed up for a night out, stepped up on stage and belted out far too many cheesy songs, that the poor guy manning the Karaoke machine was very close to pulling the plug...

Fun in the Sun Essentials!

I seem to start all of my posts lately in the same way... Today was my day off and I did this or that... Though once again, it's been my day off and I've been having a lovely lazy day minding my own business and doing some things that I needed to get done... 
I wanted to spend some time in the sun, it seems to be avoiding the Netherlands this year, and although I am not a summer girl sometimes we need the sun to get rid of that Winter S.A.D effect... The only problem is, I seem to be terrible at remembering one key thing... Sunscreen... 

I am a natural redhead in RL, not just the bottled fire engine red that Rudh wears, but that means that normally when the sun is able to get to my skin for any length of time I tend to go bright red and then back to white... 
Sunburn used to be a bane of my existence, now days I'm constantly carrying sunscreen with me, but back when I was a teen... I forgot and thought nothing of it... 
Today I've been planning a trip on a sailing boat from Santamaria Pier - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - I'm taking my little French Bulldogs - from Jian - with me and we are heading out on the open water... I've just got a quick stop to make at the "Fun in the Sun Essentials" Machine - a creation by MadPea, available until August 5th at equal10 - so that I can grab myself some new sun block and avoid getting any more sunburn - like the older but still awesome set, available from Izzie's...

Feeling Super Sweet

Summer is coming, it's not my favourite time of year I have to admit, but I guess I have t face it head on... So far the year has been a bit of a crazy time weather wise, but they say that it should get a little warmer soon, and since it's almost June, the weather should be heating up and I will be melting down... 
There's one thing that will get me through the hot season, Ice Lollies, in fact now that I think of it I want one now, and some candies and chocolate and all things sweet and delicious... 

I'm going to just put on some good music on and mix up some fancy juice that I can freeze into Ice Lollies... Sweet, tangy, and in all different kinds of flavours. I love fruity ones but I also love those mini milk lollies, those were fabulously delicious when I was a little... I don't always have a sweet tooth, my normal snack of choice, but when I do, I go all out...

Stealing the King's Trident

Whilst working on my blogging stuff and things today, I found my mind drifting off to another of it's many fantasy worlds and this time we drifte back under the waves, down deep into the sea where the sun shimmers on the water causing sparkles to dance on the sea bed... The mermaid in question today is not one of the ethereal princess types that floats into my blog from time to time, this one is a sneaky diva on a mission... 

There has been a coup in the royal palace of King Triton, and now in the Mermaid Cove the opposition have put some huge burly, Chubby Fish Guards - from Tardfish - have been placed on guard over the super important trident of the sea king... 
Triton has sent in one of his perfect Ocean's Daughters- which is actually a pose set from -Extra- at the Conch Island Festival until May 25th - while the lazy guards are not paying attention to what they are supposed to be watching...

Time for a Coffee Break

A lovely, lazy Sunday... A restful day, in which I had planned to do some cleaning, but instead I ended up having a lazy day, I spent my day decorating my SL house and gardens for Christmas and playing with my clothes... I did make a very naughty stop in the day, I had a craving and needed to head on a little trip, I had a craving for one of those deliciously, fancy coffees with whipped cream...

I took a little time out to head on down to the Burrow Co. Coffeehouse, but instead of going inside I found the most adorable little coffee van at a campsite full of soft comfy cushions, and was able to order myself a super, over-the-top, deliciously Christmassy "Jolly Hot Cocoa" - from Hangry - one with masses of whipped cream...

A last walk in the falling leaves...

I cannot quite believe it, but today is the last day of November... Where the heck has the year gone, and tomorrow is the start of the festive season. I'm trying hard to keep my head in the game, as all I want to do is cry that I won't be able to see my family before the big event at the end of the month, but right now I have to start getting myself into something festive... 

Until tomorrow though, I'm going to enjoy a last walk through the Autumn's falling leaves - thanks to the Cole's Corner Autumn Breeze - at the Flower of Scotland... Puffin... Nuffin...

When I was younger, my parents took me on holiday to a place called the Scilly Isles in the British Channel... It was such a lovely holiday and I guess since things have been going crazy all over the place I've been thinking back and reminiscing! 
Today I was super excited to see that we'd had some new friends move into our beach... Little Puffins, there one minute there's a Puffin, then they fly and and we're left with Nuffin... 

Puffin... Nuffin... It was a joke that tickled me and my mum for hours, I even treated her to a tea towel with the pictures on it LOL... Nothing so British as buying a tea towel as a souvenir! 
My Puffins flew in from Puffin Island - a release from TLC Home Collection - and I hope they are here to stay.

Don´t step on a Lego!

 Ever have one of those days where things happen that go great and you make yourself feel really good by being a lovely person... Yet I have this feeling that things my be about to change, like the super fast interchangable weather we're having at the moment. 
I have this feeling that things will go badly, maybe there will be something unfortunate in my near future.. Something painful... Maybe I'll step on something and hurt myself... Have you ever felt how much pain it is to step on a Lego? 

If I step out of bed and land my foot on a lego in the morning I'm going to cry at the premonition... Stepping on a lego is PAINFUL, they should be voice activated to warn you... |

When we veg out... We "Veg" Out...

A day at work on my own due to a possibility of one of my colleagues coing down with Covid, I feel more than a little worn own, I now feel like doing nothing all evening but veg out... The TV is calling me, along with my Pyjamas... 
Sometimes it's nice to just be able to Veg out isnt it. In RL it's a little different to SL though, when I do it in SL I tend to do it a little differently...

To Veg out in SL, is to literally VEG OUT lol...HellBone and I, changeed our names to Spud and Spudulika - Brits will know Spudulika from a silly comedy sketch and maybe also a fast food chain of baked potatoes hehe - and put on our jammies to Veg Out... 
These amazing potato costumes are a newish release from Ananas - at Anthem - called Potayto Potahto... Maybe their next costume will be a Tomaytoe Tomaartoe hehe... 
I had to make my background so that the lazy taters would feel at home... I played an episode of "Hone I blew up the kids" in a manner of speaking, I blew up a bag of groceries - from Dust Bunny - and a veggie crate - from Vespertine - so we could veg out appropriately...

Who knew a Bubble could break a Fort?!

It's not fair... OK I KNOW I shouldn't complain, there are people in a lot worse situations right now, but I am actually jealous that HellBone got to go to work today. I want to go to work, and I know that being at home is the best for everyone right now, but I've been here almost 2 weeks and I'm starting to get a little cabin fever! Still someone must stay home and protect our non-hoard, we never hoarded anything in RL - the usual shopping was enough for us - and now it seems that the supermarkets have most things back in stock again. In SL though it was different, I felt a strong need to hoard toilet roll...

Even if I don't need it now, it's only 7 months until Halloween, and I have plans that involve LOTS of TP! Lots and Lots of TP!!! In fact if you've been hoarding it and have some to spare by Halloween, send it my way!! I'll trade for a can of Anti Corona Spray - from vaak - or some fresh orange juice - from vespertine. I have so much toilet paper that I even tried building things with it... The fort I built fell down when I tried to climb inside whilst wearing the Personal Bubbles - from Bad Unicorn - but it collapsed, so I had to settle for a throne of toilet paper - thanks to BackBone hehe... 
I feel like such a Bathroom Godfather sat here like this hehe...

Happy Birthday To ME!

Today is my 34th Birthday, and I know it sounds silly but it's one of the weirdest Birthday's I've ever had. Normally I'd have friends and family around - my parents had planned a visit to see me in the Holland - but that cannot happen due to the Corona Virus, so everything feels so quiet, calm and, if I'm honest, a little surreal! It's been lovely in a weird way, HellBone made me a cake and spoilt me with gifts but I've just been reading and relaxing which would normally be a novelty, although it's becoming a bit of a normal right now LOL... Looks like I will be celebrating more in SL, maybe?! 

Even in SL though, it seems a little quiet, all my Gators are away and instead of seeing them more, I'm seeing them less LOL... 
So it's a Birthday Party for one! More cake for me! Wonder if I could freeze it so it's available after the virus has passed and everyone can be together in the same place...

Quirky, Kooky, Cute

So today I'm having a lazy day with my family, that's right I'm still in the UK and won't be home for a few days to come yet. Things will be slowing down with my blog right now, I have two posts ready to go then I'm afraid you will need to wait until I'm back home again hehe... Not that that's very long now, I'll be home again on Monday! 
Today though because I'm having a lazy day I have something that I'd taken pictures of a long time ago that I'm going to share... Lazy I know but the things in it are so cute how can I not resist sharing it?! 

I love making outfits that are kinda kooky cute, and this is no exception to that. It's not something that I needed to blog - pose aside perhaps which is a pose from -Extra-  - but I just loved the outfit and wanted to share it with everyone. 
It seemed a bit kooky cute in a possible fashionista kinda way, which is why I am in a tailor's workshop, but I just love the entire look I have going on here... I've said that more than once in this post and I will no doubt say it again but YAY I LOOK ADORABLE!! 
I teamed a gorgeous Dreamy Fall Dress - from fashionably dead - in this rich forest silk, with some cute Polka Tights - from The Secret Store - to give it that kinda quirky look. Then accessorized my hair and face with a Navy + Copper Wig - called Lungo - and some over-sized Zombie Suicide glasses! 
Is it just me, or is this cute?? Does anyone actually agree with me or do you think I look weird?? LOL...

Prettiness and Magic in the ECLIPSE

I'm working today, so as I'm sat behind the PC I thought that I might as well get in some blogging time. There's not much else that I can do really, and I LOVE having a chance to sit back and relax with a blog post. 
Today I want to share something which comes from a surprising place, but truly works in such a versatile way... I'm talking about the darkness that comes from the ECLIPSE event, and using it in a way that's no where near dark or macabre, in fact it is the total opposite, and it really works! Helps me to think outside the box, and I hope that it would inspire people to do the same?! 

So, as you can see it's nothing like my usual post would be for ECLIPSE. It's far too light and girlie, but I felt a little inspired to create something that would allow people to think outside the box, and just because the event is all about the darkness, doesn't mean it can only be used for darkness! 
The ECLIPSE item that is behind all this would be the awesome shoes that Rudh is wearing, these are a release from lassitude & ennui - called Jezebel Sandals - and they come in a range of colours with gold or silver metal accents. Dressed in the right way they could be perfect for a dark, Lolita kinda look, but right now with this outfit they screamed pretty! I LOVE that they can be so versatile!!!
The photo was taken at the amazing Outer Gardens' new fairground location, and as with their other designs, it's super pretty and magical. I fell in love with the location, and it just seemed perfect for my pretty girlie look... 
I guess the rest of my outfit could be seen as a Look of the Day! A look with lots of flowers and happiness... Ranging from the LODE flowers in her hair, to the tiny little flowers on her fashionably dead jeans, she's top to toe in flowers!

Photos for his Country Music Cover

There are times in SL when people come and go... Sometimes it's for the better and others it hurts more than you'd imagine. Its the people that you think would never leave who cause the most hurt and I can tell you in all honesty, when that happens it's like a heartbreak. It's something that I'm going through right now, and although I won't be sharing details publicly I ask that you bear this in mind for a while if I seem a little melancholy. 
It's times like this I find myself clinging to those around me, my bestie, and my daddy are definitely people I'm clinging to right now, so spending time with them talking and trying to do normal things is helping...  Today trying to take things off my mind I'm taking pictures of someone that I rely on a lot, he's one of my most important people... Daddy!! 

He's posing with his new friend - Trigger - for a cover of his new country album featuring songs like "I shut my Weiner in the car door", "My two wives make me eat too much" and "My kids are little shits"... It made me laugh to see Daddy in a county music cover album...

Daddy has been a constant over the last five years for me... I wouldn't be without him now... I hope he never leaves!!!

Back Home Without Her Keys!

Back home in the Netherlands since yesterday, I'm trying to spend this weekend resting after a busy visit to my parents and lots of craziness that I know is on my way. I had so much fun while I was in the UK, but now it's back down to earth with a bump... BUT FIRST SHOPPING!!!
Missing the events in SL has been OK but now I'm home... Rudh will have to get her little avatar butt busy!!
There is just one problem at the moment... 

She cant get into her house, because she cannot find her keys?! Sitting on the steps to the treehouse, she has opened her purse and checked through her shopping, but now she is going to have to wait until HellBone turns up to open the door again... Dammit! 
What will she do to fill her time?! More Shopping perhaps?!

Snuggling up on Cold Days

I LOVE this time of year... It's a bit bloody cold but hey I freaking love that! I've never been a fan of the hot weather and always find myself jumping for joy a little when the cold seasons start. 
I love being able to snuggle down, wrap up warm and cuddle a cup of tea. Nothing makes me happier than curling up with a cuppa when it's quiet and I'm under a blanket with a few candles and the fairy lights that I use in my living room twinkling away. 
I think though, recently I found my new favourite sofa to do just that on... I just wish I had one in RL lol... It's never a Sad November when you can have a sofa like this!!! 

My "Sad November" Sofa is actually my new happy place... A cosy Sweater Couch - from the great mind behind a very versatile store, Violetility, which if you haven't been to yet I will tell you now is a rising star in the shopping world! - that just calls for you to snuggle up with a cup of tea and in my case some knitting! I have a knitting pattern from tres blah that I am trying out, and my tea always tastes better in my IMBUE brand mug LOL, but that's just crazy talk! 
Anyone want to curl up with me?! Bring me a cuppa tea??

Freebies at the Fair of Hair

Hair Fair 2016 starts in just a few short hours and I have to say there are lots of lovely wigs for the ladies - and gents - that are Hair Obsessed... All in the name of a great cause. 
Now over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some of the awesome degsigns that I picked up, long and updos and even a few shorter ones, and I will be explaining more about the cause, but I wanted to share with you some of the gifties that are available at the event. 
My favourite gifts from all four of the sims... 
First up... Backlot Central... 

This is a hairstyle that is available from Blues, and I LOVE it... You can buy it as a donation item with a hud to change the design of the hat, but I wanted to share the special gift which supports the cause of the event - Wigs for Kids. 
Then Backlot East...

This is a hairstyle from KoKoLoReS called Rue, and it has the Rachel look to it... Ya know the friends style that was soooooooo popular all those years ago. I'm also wearing the (fashionably dead) giftie which is the cute choker - or the Sweet Bow Choker - which comes in a set of a few colours! 
Third sim on my list is Backlot North... 

This hairstyle is the gift from Phoenix called Gracia, which screamed as something that was perfect with the amazing Moustache from Valient. 
Lastly, the Backlot West... 

The Amacci Hair is a cute updo that I couldn't resist sharing in pretty pinks, and it looks adorable with the pretty Hair Bow from Stealthic. 
So those are my favourites, but there are LOTS and LOTS more! The Freebies aren't the only reasons to head into the fair though so please don't miss a chance to take a look around the sims...
