Feeding the Animals

My job is working in retail selling cheese. I don't hide it, I've shared it many times but I love my job and even though I vent about it often it's a place I feel happy and confident - most of the time anyway - and I don't see myself changing it for a while... 
I've discovered many new things about people though, watching the way they act when there is something as simple as a 'free sample' of food to taste... It's like they have never eaten before, free sample seems to be code for "take all you want because who cares if someone else doesn't get any" and don't even get me started about how people are more like animals around food... Circling like sharks, using their hands like monkeys, slapping their lips... I'd rather be feeding animals... 

Maybe I'll change my profession to animal feeder, since I tend to do it most days anyway... I'd like to feed something cute though, maybe in my own little fantasy world I'd feed dinosaurs in the Dino Park - like the old but awesome backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - driving in with a cooler full of delicious things for those big ol' baby lizards... I was sat feeding those adorable Apatosaurus and Triceratops babies, offering them both fresh leaves and a big ol' Meat Stick - from Junk Food - but I didnt realise that someone was sneaking up behind me heading for the meat...

Walking through the Falling Leaves

It's the middle of September, and that means it's AUTUMN, at least in my part of the world it definitely seems to be heading that way. It's gotten a lot colder, and the leaves are starting to slowly turn to those glorious oranges and reds. I LOVE this time of year, the spring and winter seasons are fun too - I've never really been a summer girl it's too hot LOL - and it makes me feel happy to go out wrapped up warm and cozy while it's cold outside!
One of the best things about SL though in this regard, is that you can go out, enjoy the Autumn scenery and never get too cold lol... I was inspired today, to go for a walk at the All Hallows in Moochie... It was such a pretty place for a walk! 

My poor little puppy companion got rather tired whilst on our walk through the falling leaves, and so he ended up in the basket that I'd brought with me to collect leaves and nuts that could be used to Autumnify my home... 
It was fun collecting leaves and holding them up to the sunlight to see the last rays of sunlight filter through the pretty autumn coloured leaves... I used to do this a lot as a little kid, and can do it really easily now thanks to a gorgeous pose from -Extra- that makes up part of the Leafy Set available today for The Saturday Sale!

Honey for Pooh

Tomorrow is a special day at Hair Fair, and I will be able to share that with you then but for today, I wanted to take some time out and revert to something a little childish... 
Hair Fair is all about raising money for the children in need of wigs due to circumstances beyond their control... So I think it's apt that I do something a child would appreciate, just this once! Of course, it has to be Disney related... 

I mentioned before that my mother used to read me fantasy stories, but it was my father that actually introduced me to Winnie the Pooh. 
I was at a little Gacha event called The Gacha Guardians, where I stumbled across this adorable gacha set by comet, the 100 Acre Wood Gacha that is complete with Pooh, Piglet and if you're very lucky Eeyore! 
Now to attract the bees and make some more honey for Pooh, I'm wearing a pretty Sunflower in my hair - a new hair from Wasabi Pills for this year's Hair Fair!!

Believe in Magic, and slip on a Shoe!

We all have the power to make different choices in life... Nothing is ever simple as it seems in the Disney Movies! 
For me I've always been someone who simply cannot take too many risks as I have a massive tendency to over-think everything. I can roll an idea around and around in my head, looking at it from every angle and more often than not, focusing on the negatives. 
I wish life was so simple as the fairytales... Sure sometimes things were tough but at the end it was all sparkles and sunshine. It seems in RL that when you start to rise, you always get knocked back down again at some stage. 
Wouldn't it be nice if life was so simple as Cinderella makes it out to be... When life is tough just believe in magic and slip on a shoe?!

Rudh tried it... Although slipping into a pair of gorgeous sparkly heels - like these Glitterati Heels from Reign - makes her feel good, there's no magical transformation, she's still Rudh that over-thinks and doesn't have a handsome prince... OK I still have HellBone and he's not bad on the eyes lol, but he's not really a Viking is he?! LOL... 
She's sitting in her chicken coop - complete with her new friendly Chicken Companion from Jian - in a regal JACKALOPE chair trying on shoes, dreaming that a sexy Viking will come and whisk her off her feet. Thinking about it now though, maybe if she's being kidnapped by a Viking she's better off in her dungarees and DMs. Might get a little muddy in Viking territory!
Still a girl can't help but wonder, when life is tough just believe in magic and slip on a shoe?!

In Grandma's Attic

I want to the avoid Christmas feeling today, I'm feeling less in the mood and more like the Grinch... I still hurt and have way too much to do to be sitting around not able to walk so I am having to take things slowly, and today I decided I don't even want to think about Christmas! Is that weird? 
I'm going to do some exploring. In a show I was watching recently, people went to an old house in search of treasures, and it makes me feel amazed to see the kind of things that are sometimes left behind to go to ruin. 
It makes me jealous, I want to explore forgotten places like this, and well because it's so cold outside, I feel like exploring Grandma's Attic... 

My Grandparents attic is nothing like this, but this location at WHOLE WHEAT really inspired me to get dirty and crawl through the cobwebs...
I've had the perfect outfit on for a while now, and YES it's starting to smell so I should probably throw it into the washing machine, but that makes it even more perfect to crawl through the cobwebs, right? 
The Sweater is my new favourite piece of clothing, it's a KITJA Aurelia Sweater from the current - but ending soon - round of UBER - I pulled it on with the most amazing pair of Vinyl jeans which hug a girls curves in all the right places, and some cute little flats. These Reign Flats are possibly not the best for crawling around in a dusty attic but they looked cute while I was doing other things and that's what mattered lol... 
Who knows what treasures I will find?!

Snuggling up on Cold Days

I LOVE this time of year... It's a bit bloody cold but hey I freaking love that! I've never been a fan of the hot weather and always find myself jumping for joy a little when the cold seasons start. 
I love being able to snuggle down, wrap up warm and cuddle a cup of tea. Nothing makes me happier than curling up with a cuppa when it's quiet and I'm under a blanket with a few candles and the fairy lights that I use in my living room twinkling away. 
I think though, recently I found my new favourite sofa to do just that on... I just wish I had one in RL lol... It's never a Sad November when you can have a sofa like this!!! 

My "Sad November" Sofa is actually my new happy place... A cosy Sweater Couch - from the great mind behind a very versatile store, Violetility, which if you haven't been to yet I will tell you now is a rising star in the shopping world! - that just calls for you to snuggle up with a cup of tea and in my case some knitting! I have a knitting pattern from tres blah that I am trying out, and my tea always tastes better in my IMBUE brand mug LOL, but that's just crazy talk! 
Anyone want to curl up with me?! Bring me a cuppa tea??

Going away... Standing Strong

This weekend was one of shock and sadness for many parts of the world after the announcement of the biggest mass shooting at a Nightclub in Orlando that has been seen in recent history. It shocks me that a human being could find it within themselves to believe that this is an acceptable thing to do... No matter what race, religion, sexuality or otherwise may have caused something so drastic, people are people and none of these things should matter. I wasn't going to talk about the events this morning, but it's on my mind and I cannot shift it... I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this way... What is the world coming to?

I wanted to run away and hide - hence the photo I'm sharing today of Rudh with the bus in the background - yet as with Rudh, I'm going to do the opposite. I'm not going to let fear of "what ifs" get to me, I'm going to remain hopeful that one day in the future this current crisis and lack of humanity from a small group of people that have managed to grip the world in suspended 'fear' - no matter the race, religion, sex or otherwise of the people involved - are extinguished and their fire is dampened...
Rudh was on a Bus at WHOLE WHEAT, before she decided to get out and stand strong, and I like her will be doing the same... Being passionate and having beliefs in something is one thing, but attacking others for their different beliefs seems to make the world a less colourful and wonderful place... Let's keep the colours shall we?
I am not going to ramble on anymore today, I need to leave it there before I start getting on a high horse, BUT I want to leave you with something that is not only beautiful, but should be something we all look for in life. I'm not a Buddhist - and I hope that this doesn't offend anyone by my sharing it - but take a quiet few minutes out of your day and listen to the beautiful "Sarvesham Svastir Bhavatu" sung by Tina Turner... It's a Peace Mantra that seems perfect for times like this...

Surfy Snacks on a Heavenly Beach

Can you hear that rumbling in the distance... It's the sound of hundreds, if not thousands, of Secondlife's residents stamping their feet, pawing the ground and getting ready to charge... The biggest event of the quater is coming, and no matter if you love or hate it, The Arcade is always a major talking point.
Personally myself I am a yardsale shopper... I know that some designers are a little anti yardsales, but if I want things to have a complete set then I will always check out a yardsale to collect things. I have no problem with gacha machines in which I wouldn't mind what colour or design I get but for full collections, I just cannot afford to keep hitting a game of chance!
Anyway, before the craziness of The Arcade starts tomorrow, I am sending you a picture of my personal beachy heaven... The place I am relaxing before I join the other crazy shoppers to get my Arcade goodies...

The beach is a little slice of paradise, totally alone and peaceful... I jumped off my boat and found that the last person who'd found this deserted beach had thoughtfully left their hammock hanging for me.
Unloading my cooler and grabbing my beach towel tote, I skipped up the beach before heading back to grab the table and pop-up BBQ that I brought with me...
But it was the food that I am most looking forward too... Kebab skewers and shrimp on the barbeque, chips and dips and MMMMM look at that watermelon!!!

Makes heaven just that little bit more heavenly. The Lost Junction Surfy Snacks - available at the Arcade from tomorrow - are perfect for the beach and are making me hungry in RL...
Time to go find some lunch!!!

Letting Go... First Aggression, Next Tears!

Today I am in a bit of a bad mood... Perhaps it's because I am visiting with mother nature, or more likely it's due to the combination of that and the amount of blehish drama that is going on around me... SL really does seem to be a place where you see the way that people try to manipulate things to make themselves look better - I know it's something that happens in RL too, but it always seems less apparent - things get twisted, people get hurt and true colours are revealed... 
It's happening to me again, someone is taking a metaphorical dump on me... It's at time's like this I always find myself feeling like I am a bad person, that I've done something to upset someone and right now I have to hold myself up and realise that no it is them that has changed, they have become the kind of person they were trying to hide, I have done nothing different to the way I always behaved... 
SO to relieve some of this stress... I'm going to take the aggravation out on their bike...

Right now it's not their bike... Next time it might well be... Now what works better, a golf club to the wheels or the engine?!
Now that all the anger and frustration is worked out of me, I need a moment to just be alone and cry... 

Once again, Come Soon to the rescue... I climbed up onto a destroyed car outside HellBone's Man Cave and laying on the roof I let it all out... The disappointment, the feeling of loneliness and even a weird case of separation anxiety came over me...

Swings on the day of a King

It's Koningsdag (King's Day) here in Holland... The whole country is out celebrating... Parties, Free Markets and craziness are popping up all over the country, bringing people together even though in the past few days it's been very cold and wet. Though the sun is shining here today - maybe the Dutch are lucky as a nation?! 
It's given me a lovely day off... I went to a free market and bought a few little things, and now I am spending some time relaxing and working on my favourite hobby... BLOGGING!!! 

I spent a lovely few hours today sitting on a brand new toy at my playhouse treehouse... Lewd made lovely, flower decorated rope swings that they have called "Sweet Seats". These are available at the latest round of Cosmpolitan, so be quick as they won't be there for long!! 
Wearing my new Mila Dungarees and Sweater outfit - from Kitja, it was so much fun to just sit here and swing for a while, watching the fairies flit in and out of the trees as they went about their work...

Going to be a Lewd Ink Master

I'm not much of a television watcher... I tend to spend so much time logged into SL that I don't have time enough, and I'd rather sit with my nose tucked into a book when I'm not online. Yet there are times when Hell and I will curl up in front of something on the TV and sit entranced... We tend to watch a lot of documentaries, and of course I am a Supernatural girl still, but sometimes we get hooked on other weird things and at the moment that is a show called "Ink Master"... Contestants battle it out every week to see who makes the best tattoos for a chance to win $100,000... Being honest, it's not good TV but it is easy to watch and I love see the creative tattoos that come from the competitors.
I'm rambling for a reason trust me... I recently joined the blogging team of a store called Lewd... I was head over heels with this place's crazy creations as soon as I saw them advertising the "Bowl of Dicks" on Flickr - trust me I will be sharing that with you very soon LOL - but this is one of those stores I think of as treasures... Nothing to serious, things that are well-made and a lot of things that appeal to my crazy, weird girl side...

One set of things that come from Lewd - and are the reason for my earlier ramble - is this awesome Inked Tattoo Parlour Set. It comes with a Chair, Table and Stool as well as props for those perfect picture moments, like this one...
I was just setting up my little tattoo parlour when a sailor walked in through the door - yes that's a Boogers Bear but he was the only one brave enough to get a Rudhish Tat - I jumped on the stool - using a pose from Signature Pose because this stool wasn't scripted, although if someone 'real' sits in the chair an artists stool will appear - and he left with a Heart Mom tattoo!! 
Anyway, one happy customer, who will be next for a Rudh Tat?! I need some more practice before I go on Ink Master LOL.. Hell better sleep with one eye open!!!

Precariously shooting my Shoes!

I feel like I'm hanging over the edge of a cliff right now...
Not in the way that I have been in recent months - at least the black hole at the bottom seems further away with a few ledges I can cling onto before I get that far - yet there are some crazy situations going on around me - in RL rather than SL this time - and its beginning to feel like I'll either need to jump or be pushed... In RL, everyone that I work with seems to be leaving, and it leads me to think that they are deserting a sinking ship, one that is trying to cut every corner besides getting rid of the actual problems!
While all this has been going on around me I wanted to take a photo in SL to represent that feeling... Luckily I had another reason too... It seemed like a great way to show off a new pair of shoes, and THAT was a greatly needed distraction!

I was sent some new shoes from the upcoming event that will be Dreams Gacha - yes another new gacha event that should be shaking things up a little - and I haven't posted a landmark to the event yet as we still have to wait 2 days before we can enter the event itself. The shoes will be released in a set of different colours for the gacha machine entry by Petite Mort, and each colour will come with silver and gold studs!
I wanted to do something to show off these cute shoes and share my emotions, so I went for a walk, looking for inspiration at one of my favourite photography locations - Hazardous. It was here that I found my precarious spot to sit a while, and take the kind of photo that I love to take in RL... I always take a picture of my feet wherever I go on vacation... Sounds weird but it was a habit started by my mum and it became a bit of a family joke, so mum this is my SL picture for you hehe... 
Just as a side note, the cliffs at Hazardous are beautiful, but they did not have the perfect cliff edge so I was naughty and made one myself hehe... I hope it doesn't get me in trouble!!!

Breakfast with my Girlies

Easter Monday - or as it's called in Holland "Second Easter Day" - is gray and cold and windy here... Sounds like the perfect day for me to spend all day in my jammies, but rather than vegging out in front of the TV I think I will spend a lovely day just messing about in SL taking some pictures!! In fact I already have ideas taking shape in my mind... YAY! 
But first BREAKFAST!!! As it's still technically Easter I think it's time for some Eggy Soldiers - ya know where you cut the toast into thin strips so that you can dip it into a soft boiled egg - that should be eaten in our SL Garden, because well it's always something you can do here even when the RL weather sucks! 

Not sure that eating eggs at my new breakfast bar - a Lost Junction creation by the way - which I made Hell drag outside so I could enjoy the fresh air was such a good idea. I feel a bit mean eating my eggs with my hens so close by, especially seeing the cute little chicks!! 
Never fear though, my chickens come from the friendliest farm - the 8f8 New Beginnings farm to be exact - and I am reliably informed that the eggs I am eating from the dust bunny kitchen are only those which would not have become little chicks - they are laid in a place where no boys are allowed hehe... It's very hard right now not to make a joke about cocks trust me LOL... 
So while I sit here and giggle to myself, trying not to get Egg on my new tops from SPIRIT or my new skirt from KITJA, I am plotting my photography path today and hoping that I can find some more chocolate eggs in a while LOL... Hope you enjoy your second day off!!!

Autumn is coming YAY!!! Bout Freaking Time!!! I love it when it starts to get colder and the leaves begin to change... The colder air brings out the best in me... UNLESS of course, you're my kitty!
We were out taking a walk, and it felt just a little chilly, by the end of it he was bald and I was wearing a kitty fur hat!!

OK lol I didn't really skin a kitty, I did take one for a walk to the awesome Evergreen Nook sim, but the kitty was already bald I promise... He's one of the Birdy Hocus Pocus Sphynx Kitties that is available from The Arcade at the moment - he's a patched kitty just in case you're wondering!
The hood, although from a store that is very close to Birdy, is not a skinned kitty! This Atomic Howling Hair and Hood, is available at The Arcade too, but it's more wolfie then kitty! I just LOVE that soft fluffy texture, it will be awesome for this coming winter to keep my head warm!
As you can tell though from my little dress that I'm only concerned about my head getting cold LOL... I pulled on a KITJA dress called Alex that is available at No.21 and dressed it up with a pretty Kibitz collar you can grab now at We <3 RP... I am actually pretty pleased with how the look turned out... I was a bit put off my dress at first when one of my friends told me that the top looked like nurses scrubs! PFFT never listen to a poorly dressed dude when it comes to fashion advice I was missing out hehe...
Just remember, if you go down to the woods today with Rudh, and you're any kind of furry animal, you may come back naked!!!
