Magically Summoning A Valentine

It's Valentines Weekend, and everywhere I look it seems like there are so many couples being cute and adorably sweet, but knowing my Hubby I'm going to be doing things all by myself on Tuesday and over the rest of the Valentines weekend. I got home from work, after a stupidly long and mental work day today, and I decided to take matters into my own hands. I wanted to find myself someone who'd appreciate me, I needed to find myself a special valentine that HellBone couldn't object to... It was time to head to the store to collect a few things and work a little magic... 

There are so many good things at the store these days to prepare for  magic spell on Valentines... I had a look at the spell that I've found in one of those cheesy "Ravishing" Romance Novels - from Random.Matter at Cupid Inc - which said I needed some Valentines Candy both chocolate and love heart styles, some beautifully scented flowers and since it's something that I enjoy a variety of different Valentines coffees, since they are definitely a way to a girls heart... Then place "The Perfect Boyfriend" made from chocolate - and released by Junk Food at Cupid Inc - into a pentacle of  Love Hearts and start chanting... If the magic works, your chocolate man will become your perfect Valentine...

No April Fools; Only April Pretties!

Tis April 1st, and although I'm no April Fool I do feel like doing something a little silly and foolish.
Maybe it's not as foolish as I'd like but it's a subtle yet stylish nod to the silly and that for me is enough right now. I had a really strong urge to do something pretty, and I hope that I managed to combine those two ideas... 
Thinking outside the box is hard at times I admit, but I actually will admit that I love the results that I came up with... My April Fool hehe... 

Taken at Momento Mori's Cathedral in the Clouds, my subtle nod to the fool is actually my little friend. Sir Fox is my stole, and he's a past gacha release from the store NOMAD. He seemed really fitting with this outfit not only because of the soft elegance but come on, he's a fox with a hat and although you don't get a clear view of it, there's a monocle there too LOL... I love him... 
He looks elegant when combined with my pretty dress, a dress that I picked up at Trés Chic this month from the store The Oak. This soft set of curls from Annie from Phoenix - which I bought in reds but the basic colour is white which I had to make a copy of and keep before I dyed it - is adding more to that ribboned dress wrapping too. 
Now I warned you it wasn't a very foolish April Fool, I don't think I'm really on my game at the moment after the headache yet. It is however very pretty so instead of an April fool you get an April pretty, any complaints??!

Rope Tied Addiction

Being bound to something that you feel addicted to can be a stressful and unhappy business... No matter that the addiction is - be it something you ingest, something you feel or even a person or thing - when you decide to try and break free of it, it's a struggle that you alone need to find the strength to overcome. I've always had a fairly addictive personality... I smoke, I drink far too much coca-cola and when I find something I like I latch on to it and cling on for dear life... Then it's very hard to break away... I gave up smoking once but have since started again, and giving up coca-cola is something I say I'm going to do but seem to get stuck on every time... I NEED TO GIVE IT UP! Once I learn to let go I will be a happier me, and you know me by now, I always find myself feeling better after I have vented here! 
I'm feeling bound, tied and reliant on other things, and I don't want that anymore... It's time I made some changes to me, for me!

Damn I'm getting to be a ranter rather than a rambler recently, I'm sorry that will soon change I promise LOL... Right now I wanted to share a picture with you... A Picture of the bindings that I wear while I am feeling tied to these things...
I mean OK if I'm going to be tied to anything, I want to look good whilst doing so, so the Pixicat Thorn Dress was a damn good way to start the looking good process... I kept the bound theme in the hair that I chose too... This was one of my many Hair Fair purchases, a gorgeous braided style called Louane from Phoenix...
The location was a place that seemed to perfectly fit the outfit today, and if you're looking for somewhere a little on the kinky side perhaps you might enjoy the Ballz Deep Society... I didn't look around all that much but it looks like a pretty well laid out location with lots of stuff to keep those kinky interests satisfied... 
Now... While I am on a roll with trying to break free... Does anyone have any scissors or a knife perhaps?

Freebies at the Fair of Hair

Hair Fair 2016 starts in just a few short hours and I have to say there are lots of lovely wigs for the ladies - and gents - that are Hair Obsessed... All in the name of a great cause. 
Now over the next few weeks I'll be sharing some of the awesome degsigns that I picked up, long and updos and even a few shorter ones, and I will be explaining more about the cause, but I wanted to share with you some of the gifties that are available at the event. 
My favourite gifts from all four of the sims... 
First up... Backlot Central... 

This is a hairstyle that is available from Blues, and I LOVE it... You can buy it as a donation item with a hud to change the design of the hat, but I wanted to share the special gift which supports the cause of the event - Wigs for Kids. 
Then Backlot East...

This is a hairstyle from KoKoLoReS called Rue, and it has the Rachel look to it... Ya know the friends style that was soooooooo popular all those years ago. I'm also wearing the (fashionably dead) giftie which is the cute choker - or the Sweet Bow Choker - which comes in a set of a few colours! 
Third sim on my list is Backlot North... 

This hairstyle is the gift from Phoenix called Gracia, which screamed as something that was perfect with the amazing Moustache from Valient. 
Lastly, the Backlot West... 

The Amacci Hair is a cute updo that I couldn't resist sharing in pretty pinks, and it looks adorable with the pretty Hair Bow from Stealthic.

Settling down to Hibernate

Yesterday I had an interview for a RL job in SL. I am now crossing my fingers and will have to wait until tomorrow to hear anything but I will tell you that having an interview for a RL job in SL is the strangest feeling ever!! 
I'm so bad in interviews, I can rehearse what I want to say over and over again and I always become like a deer in the headlights. I thought it might be easier when I was hiding behind Rudh but apparently not... If anything it was harder! I had too much choice in what to wear and I was still like a deer in the headlights when I sat in front of them... 
In RL though, behind the computer screen I was in my PJs!!! Best Interview Outfit EVER!!

This is what Rudh may have looked like in the same situation... I of course was a little more nervous than this and was actually shaking hehe... If only I could be as cool and collected as Rudh I would be a happy bunny - or should that be giraffe?! 
I love these giraffe PJs from Sweet Thing - I have LOTS of spares as they were gacha items and I am giving them away so if you want one please ask! - but you know what gachas are like you want one particular one and get everything but the one you want! 
The huge armchair is one from brocante, which is available at the latest round of LTD until January 26th - and these come in a variety of colours with or without cushions... They make the perfect spot to lay back, with a huge bowl of winter warming Stew - this yummy looking stew is available from the Lost Junction kitchen at the new Wayward Winter event - and snuggle down for a long winter hibernation... I wish people could hibernate?! Animals can, we're silly not too LOL...

Hair Fair but Not Hair?!

As Hair Fair 2015 draws to a close - with it's doors shutting firmly on July 26th - I decided to take a few quick moments to draw your attention to it again, and point out some awesome things you may have missed from the event... 
It wasn't only hair that was given away as awesomely fab freebies from the event... Whilst running around I found some seriously cool goodies - including a sushi chef pig in the !Ohmai stand - but if you haven't been in to Hair Fair yet, now is your chance!

It was surprising that there were some awesome freebies that weren't hair related, but I will say that the actual hair that I am wearing in this photo is a Hair Fair purchase. The hair is a LeLutka style, with a 15% donation going to the Hair Fair charity Wigs for Kids, and I just love the dip dyed look to it...
The rest of my outfit though is made up of Hair Fair Freebies!!! The dress is a dual coloured one - that's called Cosima in a Pink Lemonade colour - from [Decoy], the sunglasses are LeLutka, and I have not just one but two hair bands on hehe... The smaller front one with the writing is a gift from Phoenix, which comes in a number of different words, and the larger one - the set of ears really - is a kitty hairband from Mystic Tiger!
