Last New Years, HellBone and I rented a little cottage in the woods to try and take our doggie away from the crazy fireworks that people in our town like to set off for the 5 days surrounding the festive celebrations... It was great, if you don't factor in the fact that I almost killed my mother-in-law... This year we've decided to do the same again, deeper into the Dutch forest and this year I plan on taking some heavy duty rope so that if my mother-in-law pulls the same crap again she will be tied to a tree and conveniently "forgotten" on the day we come home lol... I'm talking about this for two reasons, one I just paid the deposit and two I am REALLY in need of a bit of a break. I want to go back to England to just switch off my head but right now that isn't happening so a girl has to just dream right?!
Luckily in Second Life I can actually reach my holiday goals without having to spend any money and arrange any time off... I just click the Teleport button and land there... One of the prettiest places to holiday is Netherwood - a location based on the Yorkshire Dales of England. While I was there on this trip I wore such a cute hippy style outfit and laced flowers into my hair, it felt almost as if I was actually having some free time. The hair - complete with it's flower decoration - is one that has been released by Adoness for the latest round of Genre, that ends tomorrow. It seemed to look rather cute with the latest outfit released from Petite Mort at The Crossroads. The release includes three awesome mix-and-match pieces, including this awesome Gypsy Witch Tank, adorable Gypsy Bag and the Buttonfly Denim Shorts which will no doubt become a staple item in my SL wardrobe! These things all come in multiple colour options and so although I mentioned it before they make mix-and-match looks effortless!!! Though I had a though while I was writing this... Yesterday I was in a pretty wonderland... Today I'm going to Hell... It's amazing just how much my mood swings from one pretty girlie side of me to the other more dark and twisted side! I'm not Bi-Polar or anything like that but I just love being able to play around and do different things every day. Today my dressing up box lead me in a much darker direction - although there is a lot less blood than I have been known to play with - today, I am a tribute to the darkness... I had an outfit that just screamed out to me to release my inner bad girl, and this time she came out as a little bit demonic... After hours of searching I found the perfect location and became a tribute to Satan himself...
There is much to say about this outfit and my styling but first the location I discovered... It took me a while, I wanted somewhere dark, somewhere that fit perfectly with my outfit and it was no simple task... Then after clicking a random link in search, I found this place... Lord Satan's Demon Castle. It was perfect for what I wanted. This place welcomes visitors BUT I want to make sure I give you a word of caution - it's not for the faint hearted. It's a place where orgies are advertised as entertainment, and there are monstrous things to see and do here... That having been said the location looks great, and the people that I spoke to were welcoming and great in providing assistance - so thank you to those people. This location is in essence a Satanic Church, so please also bear that in mind and if you're anti this kind of thing, don't visit... If you're looking for a little slice of Hell however, this is a brilliantly planned, decorated and staffed location, that may be just what you are looking for! I was a little naughty, I couldn't resist jumping up onto the altar - which isn't bad at this location it seems as when I arrived there was a couple having sex on it hehe - as a tribute to Satan himself. It was all prompted by my awesome outfit, which includes the boots and blindfold as well as the bodice and panties, is in fact a gacha collection available now at The Gacha Garden from lassitude & ennui. I added the very cool, and very monstrous looking, Sandersons Gloves - from Jian - to complete my look. The inner demoness in me needed her time in the spotlight, she's one of my favourite characters and when she comes out so does the trouble, but you never know what might come next... Now that the demoness is back with Satan, where will my freed mind take me hehe... I didn't sleep very well last night... I think it was a combination of too warm and our matress being a little bit old now that added together to leave me uncomfortable and hanging in a strange sort of limbo - and I don't mean the dancing! The idea of limbo is a funny thing, it's the state, feeling or even in some cases the place in which you're left hanging around waiting... Religiously speaking - Limbo is originally a part of Catholic theology - it's the state after death before you ascend to Heaven or fall to Hell. Now I'm not a religious person, but that feeling of Limbo is sometimes so very often apparent that it's hard not to notice it. Last night felt like I was in limbo... Hanging between sleep and awake... It feels so strange when that happens. Sounds are clearer, your eyes grow accustomed to the dark and it feels almost superhuman - let's face it it's probably the closest many of us will get! No wonder it's a bit of a "mystical" idea...
So as I was lazing in my bed last night in this strange state, I remembered this photograph that I'd taken of Rudh, and although she looks a LOT more serene and a LOT less like she's had a rough night, it has that same feeling of being stuck waiting... Locked inside a dark glass coffin she floats through time and space... The Forgotten Glass Coffin - a rare gacha prize in a Salome Colour - protecting her from the ravaging of time, keeping her sealed, keeping her pretty. As the giant clock in her hands tortures the sleeping beauty counting through the seconds, minutes, hours, days and into eternity. Perhaps I'm thinking about passing time so much at the moment due to the fact that my dolly has a very big birthday coming up for people in the virtual world... It's making me a little pensive LOL...

Sunday Morning... I'm having yet another lazy day today and waking up very slowly as HellBone is out in RL... I'm on my third cup of coffee and second ciggie, and now I'm trying to get myself into the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. My HUD is running, and now I just sit back and wait to see how long it takes to get in LOL... At one time having a get-me-in style HUD really had it's benefits - it could click the TP button faster than you could, but now it's more of a lazy persons way to get into an event as it seems everyone and their mother is using these same easy tools. Still, it helps that you don't need to keep clicking every two minutes... PLUS it means I can have a chance to put my feet up and relax...
LOL my post took me a little longer than I had planned purely and simply because I got into the event then had a mad dash to get my TP HUD off... Followed by a good browse through all of the Gacha Machines. I am so addicted, it's terrible, and this time I will totally blame CURELESS & DISORDERLY, not that they forced me to go but they made DOLL PARTS!!! Until that happened though, I had been cosily sat in my new Book Nook Fort that HellBone picked up at a Yard Sale for me, on one of the new and super comfy "Oversized Chairs" from Consignment - which you can grab now at FaMESHed until August 27th. I like this chair so much that I think I may have just found my new bed, so thank you Mr. Haller! The weekend is a good time to wake up slowly, drink a few cups of coffee and then perhaps spend a good few hours taking some pretty pictures and wasting a day lol... That's definitely my Sunday routine but this weekend I want a day of nothing-much-ness and I plan to do that by spending my time with my SL camera. Give me five minutes in my gorgeous little office to make sure my camera is all set up and ready to rock and roll...
I love this new pose from Come Soon by the way. It's called My Lens and it's available now at The Chapter Four until August 31st. As per usual, the Come Soon Poses come with a full scene or the pose on it's own, and as nice as the scene is I had to use this particular pose in my office! It was too much of a temptation to resist. I spend time here working on blogging stuff, working on Gator stuff, and in fact working on anything that I have to work on too LOL... There's a new boy in the Gator Swamp and he's decided he wants to join the big boys by becoming a Gator too... A little more testosterone in our little family. It's funny, once upon a time the MC was very female dominated and we were constantly looking for new man meat, but now days things have reversed and it's the boys wanting some new boobies to look at LOL... Least that is how the conversation seems to run... Yet we have a new manly man joining the dark side and well... he's kinda pretty LOL... I surround myself with Viking men, and this one seems to certainly fit that style... Being bound to something that you feel addicted to can be a stressful and unhappy business... No matter that the addiction is - be it something you ingest, something you feel or even a person or thing - when you decide to try and break free of it, it's a struggle that you alone need to find the strength to overcome. I've always had a fairly addictive personality... I smoke, I drink far too much coca-cola and when I find something I like I latch on to it and cling on for dear life... Then it's very hard to break away... I gave up smoking once but have since started again, and giving up coca-cola is something I say I'm going to do but seem to get stuck on every time... I NEED TO GIVE IT UP! Once I learn to let go I will be a happier me, and you know me by now, I always find myself feeling better after I have vented here! I'm feeling bound, tied and reliant on other things, and I don't want that anymore... It's time I made some changes to me, for me!
Damn I'm getting to be a ranter rather than a rambler recently, I'm sorry that will soon change I promise LOL... Right now I wanted to share a picture with you... A Picture of the bindings that I wear while I am feeling tied to these things... I mean OK if I'm going to be tied to anything, I want to look good whilst doing so, so the Pixicat Thorn Dress was a damn good way to start the looking good process... I kept the bound theme in the hair that I chose too... This was one of my many Hair Fair purchases, a gorgeous braided style called Louane from Phoenix... The location was a place that seemed to perfectly fit the outfit today, and if you're looking for somewhere a little on the kinky side perhaps you might enjoy the Ballz Deep Society... I didn't look around all that much but it looks like a pretty well laid out location with lots of stuff to keep those kinky interests satisfied... Now... Monday Morning... I had planned to do something light and cheerful yesterday when I was making sure that I had posts available to work on whilst I was supposedly "working", yet nothing ever works out exactly the way you plan it, and today my mood isn't quite what it should be. I don't feel like happy and sparkles this morning, I feel like I'm left-behind, lost and forgotten... Yesterday's news! Thrown into a forgotten room, with all of the other old dollies...
Felt like this yesterday too, and tried to hide it behind a facade of cheery bubbliness, but that didn't work out so well and I ended up crashing... HARD!It's down to a combination of that feeling of loneliness, of not being good enough, and of pushing myself too hard, add to that things like financial concerns and homesickness, and you have a very horrible combination... I need someone to look after me, Hell tries but he's a little bit clueless and I don't really have the strength to reach out and get him to notice at the moment... Still enough of the rambling, I'm sure you didn't come here to read my woes, you came to see a pretty picture and learn about my craziness that I put into it right?! The picture today was actually inspired by the amazing mannequins - rather than my mood - and they were a collection that I simply had to have... The Spook Show Mannequins, are a part of the Remarkable OblivionEpiphany Gacha collection, and each of these gorgeous dolls come with their own name and seeminly their own dead doll personality... They looked perfect in this room - the only one missing is actually taking a bath in the bathroom - but before I could even sit Rudh in amongst them the idea in my head was that she was one of Master's Discarded Dolls - used and shut away, left to fade and go dusty... The room is filled with forgotten and morbid things, like her somewhat scary Nailbed, and the Broken Mirror - thanks Shiny by the way - with a subtle hint to the rooms sordid past still hanging on the wall... Wow I've written a happy post today... Sorry about that... I guess the only thing left for me to do is try to cheer myself up a little... I know of a song that totally fits with the nature of this post, it's one by my favourite Viking Cellists with vocals from Christina Scabbia, called S.O.S (Anything but Love)... It fits the photo, and because it is has the Viking Cellists in it, it makes me smile...

Summer seems to have come and gone here at the moment, not that I am complaining because I am really not someone that enjoys the heat but temperatures have cooled a little and the skies overhead are often more of a greyish than brilliant blue. Although I don't really like hot, I do like sunshine - almost as much as I love the rain - and so I do feel a little sad it's gone already. I love that soft spring sunshine... Luckily SL can be as sunny or rainy as we want it to be. When we want hot feeling weather, there are ways to do that, when we want rain there are ways to do that too... I guess at least where the sunshine is concerned this works for me, I get the pretty sunshine without being too hot LOL...
I don't have a figure like Rudh that I could show off when it gets hot in RL, and it's times like that when you want to be wearing as little clothing as possible LOL... So when I I feel too hot in RL the last thing I want to do is see my barbie doll in something too heavy looking LOL... That's about the time Rudh is stripped off... Though OK she's barely dressed a lot anyway... In this particular case I found an outfit that was so soft and light looking that I couldn't resist wearing it in the hot weather we'd had in RL recently... It's an outfit from Wonderlost called Olivia and the Boho pieces are mix and match so you can buy these gorgeous printed skirts and the loose tied tops as seperates meaning you can mix and match your colours! I will admit though that these are available until the end of today at The Secret Affair, but hopefully they will be available in the mainstore before to long too! I kept my accessories very Boho, wearing a Celeste Wig from Truth with a matching Coin Choker from Kibitz and finished off with a large beaded Cresent Talisman Necklace from (Yummy), so my look was complete... Then I just needed somewhere to explore... Somewhere cool and shady, yet with a beachy refeshing breeze perhaps... That's when I ended up at It all starts with a Smile... A gorgeous tropical beach bar and jungle style location... PERFECT for a boho Rudh to laze around in and explore... All the time I was growing up, Friday was shopping day... Every Friday my mum would be in the kitchen making her lists for the grocery store, checking to see what we had in the various places we kept foodstuffs and mumbling to herself about the things she needed to buy. I used to love going grocery shopping with her, trying to sneak extra goodies into the shopping cart and being allowed to be the one that chose our dinners for the evening. Little did I realise how mundane it actually was, now that I have to go grocery shopping the whole process has lost a lot of it's sparkle... I still love the feeling of a fully stocked kitchen but I get so irritated by the people and don't even get me started about grocery shopping in Holland, as opposed to the UK... BUT I suppose it's a necessity... A girl's gotta eat right?! Married HellBone and he's a man that LOVES his food! So today, in homage to my mum - who I am sure is already starting on her fridge/cupboard check - I'm going to do some shopping at the market!
Rudh looks a lot less frazzled going to buy groceries than I tend to look in RL... But there is one similarity... The kitty in the bag! This is one of the MishMish "Kitties go to Market" Cats, which you can still win for yourself at The Epiphany until August 15th, but it reminds me of the little black cat we had when I was little. He used to follow us when we went to our local corner shop for milk or bread, and he'd sit and wait patiently outside until he could follow us back home again! It was the closest thing that I had to a dog, until I moved in with HellBone!! As she wanders around the streets of Elysium City of Templemore - a cute location full of different stores, a motel and housing - carrying her bag of fresh veggies - and a cat - Rudh probably doesn't realise that she forgot to do her pants up! These are new pants from #EVANI at the current round of UBER. Also while talking about Uber, I LOVE this new shirt from BUENO too... I was a bit concerned it wouldn't fit well as they make for Slink Physique and Hourglass, as well as a regular fitted size, but there is no Maitreya version, BUT as you can see it fits well and looks cute! I have to admit now though, it's SO MUCH EASIER to shop in Secondlife, and the foods look great. Plus no calories LOL! Just a shame you cannot live on Virtual food, right?! LOL... ROMP is still running... I love ROMP, I've said it before and I will say it again... It is the best event for letting the inner bad girl take over and do things that you may not normally do... It started because of ROMP and a pair of shoes that I thought were just so cute! At least my inner bad girl was doing a happy dance, she knew that she'd be coming out to play LOL... I did it, I was a big brave girl and after a little bit of a mental shove I forced myself to come back in to the office. I always joke about how much of a rude word "work" is but in this case I have to tell you, and I know I complain about it a lot, that the place I work is kinda soul destroying. I really don't know how people can love working in a stark sterile office environment... I am not going to let this bring me down today, I've been too strong recently to be weakened by the shell of a building. I've found that I can stand strong and stand by what I feel is right... So I am going to let my mind wander off into a fantasy realm, somewhere away from mundanity and into the bizarre...
Fluttery Butterfly worlds far away from normality! Is it just me or when you see a butterfly in RL do you find yourself smiling too? I love watching them flutter, I love the delicate gracefulness and I love the colours. Today I am in a magical land of butterflies... I've become one of them too... Just waiting for my wings to unfurl! With my new little FluffyFlutterFriend - from Lovely Alien - and a Static Caterpillar, I sit at wait... I already prepared myself for their emergence, pulling my hair up into this adorable style when my Moth Antennae started to grow. My hair is a Hair Fair release from a store that I'd never heard of before this event by the way. It's a store called [Mello] and this Dreams style comes in some really cute magical colours, so find a new store and buy hair to raise some money fo the children while you're at it!!! I hope my wings come in soon, I need to get out of this office again already LOL...
The beginning of a new week, and I am already feeling like I am running in robotic mode... I've been working my butt off in RL and in SL over the past week and it's not going to let up this week either as my RL boss is on vacation... Not complaining, thinking of the money, but seriously I am going to need a break after all this... Some time to do nothing but relax and do fun things... Things like visit the little mermaid's grotto?!

Ladies and Gentlemen it's 6pm on a Saturday Night in my part of the world and that means that it's HAPPY HOUR!! Wine'O'Clock!! Borreltje Tijde - Party Time as the Dutch would say... There's only ONE SMALL PROBLEM!! The RL me is working and so the SL me has to behave a little bit... No drinkies till after 8pm for me! But it is a bit of a celebration weekend amongst my SL family as our awesome VP celebrates her Birthday and our President - my Hubby HellBone - celebrates his 9th Rezday! We've been partying for two days already and I'm not sure that it will stop tonight as we have a live singer coming to perform at the Gator Sim! Rudh is already getting ready, grabbing herself a glass of wine...
The kitchen is not mine - it's owned by a sweetheart that was willing to let me use it, though I'm not sure he knew I'd be raiding his wine cabinet - but hey this girl was in need, and besides, I'd share if he wanted me to LOL... The pose however, is a brand new release from Come Soon called More Wine. The full scene that this pose comes with is a bedroom scene, and well I didn't feel like going to bed with my wine, I'm getting ready to PARTY, so it had to be the pose used in another location... That's one of the awesome things about Come Soon... Not only do you get full scenes and all the props you need, but you also get the pose on it's own so you can use it in your own location... AWESOME RIGHT?! This dress is the perfect dress to go out dancing in... How did it get so hot so fast?! For the last few days I've felt like I've been melting and today is shaping up to be more of the same! I've never really been a fan of hot weather, I'm much more of an Autumn and Winter kind of girl. I mean OK when you go on Vacation, you want sunny weather but then you aren't stuck at home doing the chores and working the jobs and you can just kick back, relax and enjoy! Still I guess being stuck to my computer due to working so much does have it's perks... I can spend more time in SL taking pictures than normal LOL... I'm exploring, shopping and taking some pretty pictures all at the same time, so I guess it's a little like a holiday?! Perhaps?!
It's exactly the case of what happened here... I'd been wearing a gorgeous new dress from Petite Mort - the Henna Slip Dress in a teal colour which is available at the current round of Tres Chic just in case you were wondering - and decided to take my new little buddy that I adopted recently on a walk somewhere different and new... The location is a place called Neverfar, and it's got a serene but also haunting feel to it... It's definitely worth checking out. If you're thinking about adopting a puppy like I did I should let you know that my new little friend is an adorable Countryside Collie from Jian. To adopt one is very simple, just head to their special adoptions location at The Epiphany and you too could walk away with your own adorable little friend... OH while I'm rambling, there is one last thing that really does deserve a new noteworthy mention... My new favourite Hair! I seem to be wearing this all the time at the moment, and not only does it look cute, I donated to a great cause when I bought it! This is a Hair Fair release from the store Blues. Lately my emotions have been causing chaos in my head... I've been letting things that shouldn't and wouldn't normally get to me in ways that have almost caused a breakdown. The mixture of emotions has been huge and although there have been happy times when I do laugh and joke around, recently it's been hard to find a lot of those. Mostly I'm hiding the true feelings away from people and that isn't good... ALTHOUGH last night I had myself a mini epiphany... I now realise... WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING?! The people and things that I am letting myself get bothered by do not matter... If they mattered I'd have talked to those concerned and it wouldn't be an issue... SO, to all the little things that were bugging me... I am done, Fuck this... Let's move on an have a good time!!
The summer has finally arrived in my part of the world and GODDAMN it's freaking hot at the moment... OK By other people's standards it's probably not as hot as it could be but for Holland it's fairly hot! I slept SO badly last night and today I am going to be at my computer for a full 12 hours whilst the sun beats down on the roof I am sitting under... It's going to be a hard day, I tell you that now... So as in RL, where I am trying to remain as cool as possible, Rudh will be expected to do the same... I cannot even bare the thought of looking at someone fully clothed today LOL... Light summer dresses are a MUST!!!
This dress is a great example of that long light summer dress style... I adore it, the colour the shape the softness in the textures, and it seemed perfect for dancing around at one of the newer sets at my favourite photography location - Whole Wheat! The dress is a pretty one from a store that I stumbled across due to a fairly anime stuffed event - The Project Seven, which runs until July 30th by the way - and upon it's discovery I found the awesome hippy style cover up dress that I wore to Indie Teepee a week or so ago. This dress is the Kay Summer Maxi dress from A Breakfast Convo, and although various colours were on offer, this pretty shade of minty green was perfect... I HAD TO HAVE IT! Hello, My name is Rudhmellowen Laguna, and I am a Gacha Addict! Felt like I should start this post off as if I am going to something akin to an AA meeting, because well frankly I am now fully aware of the fact that I have a bit of a gacha gambling addiction hehe... I like many people in SL am always finding myself thinking "Just one more try" and end up realising a little too late that my account balance now says "I hate you" rather than showing any money being present! It's not entirely my fault though I mean if the designers that participate didn't put such cute stuff in the machines then I wouldn't have this problem would I?! Each and every Gacha Event outing - this time it's The Epiphany - there is ALWAYS one collection that I have to have a full set of, this time it was the fault of MishMish and Remarkable Oblivion by the way, and OK it's not like they are sitting there with a gun to my head making me buy things but... Well... Ya know... I NEEDED THE THINGS!
My tale today really starts when I dropped to the floor of my bedroom - I have this amazingly cute rug from Kalopsia and it has now become a part of my "work" space - to write a little post here about the new hair that I bought at Hair Fair... The style I am currently wearing is a Wasabi Pills release called Bubblegum. I'd gotten myself a new laptop and drawing pad from Cosmic Dust - yes those are Epiphany Gacha Items - and was going to break these bad boys in with a little bit of Rudhish creativity! I wasn't able to focus all that long though... HellBone came home with groceries and let the cats in! Our MishMish kittens are right little tinkers, which by the way is a British expression meaning "mischievous children". Before I knew it, one was climbing all over my notes and the other was burying itself into the grocery bag... What the heck did Hell get at the supermarket!?! Meh, sod it, it's his mess to clean up... I'm just going to sit here and drink this yummy brocante Lemonade, and watch chaos take over! It's much more fun that way!!!
