Money Can Be Spirited Away

So you may know that HellBone and I are currently living somewhere that's not home while our house is being rennovated... If you haven't I don't blame you for ignoring my ranting over the past few weeks LOL, but it's one of the bigger stresses of my life right now, and I'm rambling about it A LOT... Anyway, luckily in this process we're being assisted with government subsidies, and it's not a brag it's a moment of "thank god" because everything is SO FECKING EXPENSIVE... We had to go buy a new toilet today... DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THOSE THINGS COST?! I know that there are costs of manufacture and for the sales company, but they are getting things cost price and it seems the consumer is getting bit in the butthole... Is it greed or is it necessity these days?!

I know talking about money can sometimes seem crass... I'd never ask anyone about their income or share mine with the world for that matter but they always say that money makes the world go round. They also say that it doesn't make you happy, but at the same time that's not enitrely true is it... If you don't have enough to live on or with then you're more likely to be a stressed and unhappy person... It seems though that these days everything is SUPER expensive, and yes I get it's because of all of the war taking place and the cost of living has naturally increased but life gets more expensive by the minute! 
Even the spirits that guard the world's most secretive vaults are concerned... There seems to be an explosion and a drainage of captial here, there and everywhere... Our little Spirit Guide - ears and a tail set from HAZEL by the way - is concened because her soul key - which is actually the Dungeon Keys from [NoRush] that sit in her chest - are no longer needed by the powers that be... They can just raise prices so the people that need her keys are left to suffer...

Kings Day 2026

It's a special day in Holland today because today is King Willem-Alexander's birthday and so the party that the whole country seems to be in waiting for has been happening ALL DAY today... Celebrating the King, partying and selling off your old junk at the free markets that are taking places in many cities across the country...

Coffee & Apple Pie

A day off and it's been a busy one... One of our big tasks when it comes to the upheaval of next year is passed, and we now have the funds ready from the bank that means we ae ready to go.. ISH!! There is a lot to do before then... However, I've done my chores, we signed some paperwork and even manage to go to a large expat store in Amsterdam so that I could get myself some delicious English Christmas goodies... It has been a damn good day really... 

First time in a while that I feel I've had such a good day, I've accomplished things even though I was half asleep as HellBone drove us around in the car. I woke up too early but I managed to get through all my tasks and even had time to stop off with the ol' man for a slice of fresh apple pie - from Simply Shelby - and a coffee, and then even treated myself to a second coffee that came in the adorable Bear Coffee Cup - from Junk Food - and it was DELICIOUS... It was good to have a good day today...

Pineapples!

I don't very often get cravings for things, I tend to allow myself to always have a little of what I want because if I start craving something and eventually get my hands on things, then I will eat far too much and end up feeling yucky... On hot days like this, I am drinking so much water but I like to eat something salty so that it helps as I'm sweating. I don't tend to go for something sweet...
Fruit is delicious but I get picky and go through phases of what I want... There is a fruit on my mind at the moment... PINEAPPLE! 

I am not  HUGE pineapple fan, I have to say I don't love it, and it certainly doesn't belong on pizza, but when it's hot and summery, there is just something about Pineapple that makes me want lots of it... 
Rings, Sticks, Crushed into icy drinks or pulped into Ice Cream... Everything is going to be so delicious... The smell of the delicious pineapple is even luring in the little pineapple fae... Aren't they cute?!

A Hangry Panda!

What do you do when you cannot plan on what you want to do for dinner? I torture myself every night with this question, and I KNOW it's hard when you are on your own but it feels just as hard when your partner says "I don't know, surprise me?" That answer makes me want to slap him... 
Try as hard as I might to be good and plan to cook something, or get the hubby to cook something since he seems to enjoy cooking, sometimes I cannot be arsed, and pull up the delivery app... Pizza, Ribs, Curry, Sushi, all of those things are delicious, but a Chinese meal seems to hit different...

I mean I LOVE SUSHI or a Curry, but noodles always seem to hit better when they are cooked at the take-away... Things are different here in Holland than they are in the UK, and when I go home next week I am hoping I'll get my hands on some sweet and sour chicken balls LOL, but until then I'm biding my time and just dreaming of Chinese food...

Time for a Sunday Sundae!

It's Sunday, a very lazy Sunday because it's a very HOT Sunday... I've seen people laughing about how people in England complain about the heat, well I'd like to point out that since our homes don't tend to be built to let warmth out but keep it in instead. I admit I HATE hot weather and am looking forward to when it starts to cool down again, but until then and since it's lazy hot Sunday, I think it's time we tried to cool off with a Sundae?!!

I have to be quick with this post since I dont want most of the Ice Cream to melt, the only melted Ice Cream should be that which is used in the making of some fancy Retro Milkshakes - like the ones in the set with the machine from BROKEN ARROWS - whilst the rest of the Ice Cream is used to make some Classic Banana Splits - like the one from Hangry. We have So many delicious toppings, with fruit and chocolate, syrup and whipped cream... 
Seems like our puppy friend couldn't wait though LOL...

A Gang of Trash Pandas

On my day off today I've been more than a little lazy. We had some news this morning that made me feel shell shocked and has left me hanging until we have more news... It's made me feel like a grumpy, cantankerous, old lady that wants to do nothing more than read her book and eat junk food... I'm not complaining, we're all allowed to have days like that, today is my day... 

Today I'm living my best life like a Trash Panda, and there will be no fucks given... 
I'm sitting around on the couch, though it may well be a wearable trash can - like the one from Junk Food - for all the mess I have around me. I'm piled under books, knitting and right now my laptop as I write my daily nonsense...

My 39th Year Starts...

Tomorrow is my Birthday, and I'm posting this a little early because tomorrow I won't be around as I should be doing some fun things... I don't know what I'm planning to do yet but I will find some trouble to get myself into... I have to celebrate some way though, tomorrow is the start of the last year of my 30s... Tomorrow I turn 39... 

I don't really want to do much to celebrate because I'm feeling sleepy and would rather just have a relaxing day. I will say though, there will be lots of yummy things to eat... PLENTY of Cake and other yummy goodies...

It's the month of Love and even though I'm happily married with a grumpy old bugger as my RL - he's my SL too and someone I love more than I'll ever admit to - we're not the romantic type... Our date nights, which seem to be few and far between are never cute or sweet, they usuall involve us looking around weird museum exhibits or the zoo or at loud music events, and I'll never complain about that... I'll even happily share our engagement story which was a HUGE surprise and one he has to compete with any time he buys me a gift LOL... Yet I can't help feel like the romance may be missing at times... 

I guess I'm living my romance needs vicariously at the moment through the books I'm reading, although they are a little darker than your average romantic heroine needing to be rescued... 
At the Retro Diner, the waitresses like to assist with all things romantic, if and when they happen... Fairy Teas Need Human Magic!

Halloween has been and gone now, and that means, as the great Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey says "It's TIMEEEEEEEEEEE!" Christmas is almost here and we are on a slippery slope to the visit from the big man in red... 
It is time though to calm things down and watch the world go by a little, time to enjoy the Autumn colours and the chill in the air. The best way to do that... Time to settle down with a cuppa tea, as the happy little fae in me takes a break from painting the nature in red and gold...

The fae folk have a magical crystal table set up in the Enchanted Hall, with the soul purpose of it being for making tea and eating yummy things that magically appear... Cakes of all kinds, and croissant sandwiches sit on the mushroom clove crockery, while the tea cups in the set sit waiting to be filled with delicious hot tea or coffee... Most of the things in the Fae kitchen are naturally sourced, but if you look closely you will see that a trip was made to the human world in search of one of the most important things in the world... COFFEE CREAMER - from Junk Food - because no matter what kind of magic the fae have, there will ALWAYS be better coffee creamers in the human world hehe...

Prepping for the Spooky Season

I'm getting more and more excited... People are talking about Summerween and I have to admit that I am ALL for it. I'm not the kind of girl to get overly excited about Christmas or Easter or even the Summer Break, but Halloween... I'd be happy celebrating Halloween all year, maybe with a month off at Christmas for sparkly decorations... I get excited by the magic of it, the darker magic and the mystical magic and I am super excited about it...

I might start watching some of those teenie magical things to start getting me in the mood... The original Sabrina the Teenage Witch, the Hocus Pocus movies, there are so many that I could watch and enjoy... In the mean time though I might get a little practice in communicating with the dead and the art of Tarot magic, before I need it to actually communicate with the dead in October... 
Whilst practicing I've decided to pull out the old Ouija Board, I say old but it's new and pretty and lit up like a Luminous Spirit Board - this one being from MadPea at The Fifty until August 20th - and I hope that it will help me to connect to some of the cool dead ghouls out there in the dark... Friends that will come to play with me during the spooky season to come...

Breakfasts in Space

I had the day off today and have spent it being very very productive, I am majorly pleased with myself. I made the last tweaks to my presentation that I need to do on Wednesday and managed to not only retake a picture for my blog that was missing something last time and even prepare a new picture for my second post of the day... 
I think that it was because I was able to start my day with a bit of reading for fun and a delicious, although not too healthy breakfast, with plenty of coffee... 

Living in the space station must make days seem fairly different... I know that certain places on earth get 24 hour day light and long nights too, but the thought of being in space, where you'll be able to see the light but the stars must light the sky more and you'll never get to experience the day and night shift like we do on Earth... Or perhaps they do?! 
Rudh woke up this morning, in room in the Space Station - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - she had spoken to the kitchen via intercom and grabbed her Libro Reader - an amazing release from The Horror! - to lay in wait... It wasn't long before the adorable little Tiny Tech Bots - a new release from Aardvark for the Cyber Fair that runs until June 22nd - came in carrying a tray from the Breakfast Run - from Hangry - with an extra large "Valuty Mug" - from Krescendo at Man Cave until June 11th - full of coffee to mke sure that she wakes up and feels energized for her day... She's gonna need it wandering through space...

Glutton for Chicken Tenders

I have to stop thinking about blogging and what I want to focus on whilst I am hungry... My blog and randomness that goes with it tends to be influenced by my mood as much as by the things that I need to make sure I'm covering. Today, you can probably guess I've been feeling more than a little hungry... 

I am definitely suffering with a case of feeling like a glutton - and if you haven't noticed by now this is my third in the seven sins collection that are fitting the Pitaya Deadly Sins Banners, this follows the Pride and Sloth sins - and maybe it's just because I'm in a yucky mood, but I want a HUGE load of junk food... It seems like th month of January has gone by fairly fast and the month of love and hearts is almost upon us. The month of February has become like December and October, it's been taken over by it's holiday... I'm not one that really gives much of a shit about Valentine's but cute litte hearts and the odd bit of romance is prettiful... 
Hearts aren't just for the romantic, hearts are cute enough that anyone can use them to spread the love any time... Even by those naughty girls in the naughty places...

The Sugar Doughnut Bandit

Things on my blog have been a little bit food related recently, lol I guess I should stop blogging around dinner time. My mind is only drawn towards the food stuffs when I'm taking my pictures, though today I'll admit it's less dinner, more dessert. I want something sweet, I want something cakey, I want sweet cake and that could be DOUGHNUTS... Gotta love doughnuts... 

Tonight you can call me the Sugar Doughnut Bandit... I got arrested and dragged to a police station, funny to think of someone bringing doughnuts into a police station isnt it lol...

The "What's For Dinner" Game

It's that time of day again... The time of day when HellBone and I have to play the game of "what do you want for dinner?" This game can go on for HOURS, sometimes it starts in the morning when we're planning on things for the day ahead, but mostly though it starts around 4PM. 
The problem is that we're both FAR too relaxed and are usually happy to eat ANYTHING that is put in front of us, with the exception of mushrooms and celery for me and olives for him... 
I've often wished there was a magic way to make it easier, pulling the choice out of a hat or like lottery balls or something... Perhaps a spinning wheel like on a cheesy gameshow... 

Luckily thanks to Second Life I was able to make that dream come true... Krescendo had made a collection of Food Wheels with selections like takeout, snacks and even healthy options - a release that's available until January 21st at the Food Court - and since I've had a long hard day at school today, I think we'll be making use of the Takeout Wheel... 
So many yummy options, I could happily settle for all of the deliciousness... We cooked noodles yesterday, haven't had Sushi since HellBone got sick and he blames the sushi, don't have a great taco place around here and I'm not even sure I'd know a good one in the Netherlands, BUT I could happily eat anything on offer right now... Even looking at the set up of the "What's for Dinner?" game show is making me hungry...

Happy New Year!!!

Just wanted to spend a moment to welcome in the New Year and kick out the old one... The Netherlands is as per usual, filled with the sounds of explosions while the fireworks have been lighting the sky and scaring the animals that are in their homes... I personally am with the fireworks hating animals, but I'm trying to remain calm for the sake of my puppy... 
Rudh is the one that will be heading out to party for the both of us...

Rudh isn't averse to the glitter and the sparkles and the painting of the sky - I wouldn't be if they didn't make such a fucking horrible bang, but that's just my opinion - she's going to stand and watch... Raising a glass to the new year and the passing of the old one, I'll sparkle and sip some wine and blow on the noisemaker to ceebrate... As for the Real me, I'm going to hide and hope the fireworks don't go on too long all night...

Movie Night Tonight!

Today is a day that has to be celebrated... How often is it that a day so important to the dark and twisted, a Friday the 13th,  falls in October... Today is the perfect day for us to take a little trip into the woods and head to a camp site known to many as Camp Crystal Lake in search of our favourite friend, Mr Jason Voorhees... Other Horror Movie villains come and go, so more important and well liked than others, but for me and in our house, none is better than the king of slasher villains... We watch his movies every Friday the 13th, but this year is a special one right?! It could not be something we missed...  

I got home from work, to a delicious dinner of fried chicken served in a seasonally themed Trick or Chicken style - from Hangry at the new round of equal10 - and we sat to watch an old VHS tape with THE best of the scary movies - from a Scary Movie Set created by Junk Food - although I admit that any time we got to the scary bits I would find some interesting message pop up on my Cute Psycho Black Phone - available from Boutique #187 at the SL Shop & Hop...
I'm not entirely sure that my teddy bear pals are keen on me playing around on my phone though, the Scare Bears - that I've had for a few years from Sakura - decided to stop me playing with my phone and make me focus on the movie by going on the attack, one of them going a little too far by accidentally cutting into my throat so that the blood went everywhere and totally soaked my jammies... Doesn't surprise me though, I knew that if I was ever going to be part of a Horror Movie Brat Pack I'd end up being the First to Die as I seem to have been magically labelled on my chest - thanks to an amazing tattoo with various different designs in a pack from Adora-tions at the new round of #BIGGIRL...

Dino Nugget Fantasy

I got home from work, later than usual since buses and customers have been a pain in the buttocks, and I was tired, sore and starving... I needed something quick, easy and a little bit delicious, I rifled through the fridge to try and find something that I could make for a meal that would essentially be "dinner" and struck it lucky... Dinosaur-ishly lucky...

Of course, as I was sat on the sofa slowly chowing down on the cutest of dinosaurs I felt sleepy and as per usual my mind wandered off into a world of crazy bonkerishness... I sat looking at my dinner plate, a green plate decorated with the most delicious Dino Nuggies - like the ones from Junk Food which come in a set that are in a box, with tater tots and ketchup packets and to make it easier to see you can check out what the set really looks like here - and I ended up dreaming about being a nuggety cave woman armed with a french fry to defend herself against her Dino Nugget foes... 
My mind dos some weird and wonderful things sometimes... LOL...

Milkshake Bar

I am having such a hugely busy time at work since I've been back home... My boss is on vacation, and my work bestie has been diagnosed with cancer so understandably she is not available. I'm working all hours under the sun, I'm coming home and as soon as I get here I'm pretty much passing out... Sometimes I'm even forgetting something very important, the fact that I need to eat! When I do remember to eat, I will admit that I'm not being very healthy and it is prett common right now that I'm having Ice Cream for dinner! 

Now one of the biggest reasons that I'm having Ice Cream for dinner is I've been craving milkshakes... Not just any milkshake though, I want the really thick, almost too difficult to get through  straw kind, that basically ice cream is just the frozen form of LOL... 
I was SO hungry for milkshake that when I finally managed to get a few moments to log into SL today, I HAD one thing on my mind...I had to set myself up a little Milkshake Bar, and make myself one ot two... 
There was the Dirt Cup - from Junk Food - a decadently chocolate concoction that has been decorated with a few gummy worms for a more dirty feeling. The gorgeous pastel selection of Fruit Smoothies - from Hangry - that are not only loaded with but are also dripping with pretty berries, AND a myriad of toppings like whipped creams and syrups!! 
I hope that things taste as good as they look?!
