Today is Cleaning Day!

It's been a day of cleaning and sorting for me today... Still so much to do before we have to move out of our house for 6 months. I'm stressing, and I'm wondering HOW we wil ever get things done... It's not just the packing and sorting, it's also the bloody basic chores that we have to do on a normal daily basis... It's just getting to be too much... I had to find a way to get through the drudgery...

For me there is only one way to get through the cleaning mundanity at the moment and that is some very loud cheesy music... I've been dancing around today listening to the old boyband classics... Take That, Boyzone, Five and many other of the original Brit boybands of the 90s and 00s... Take That will always be my true love, and if you've no idea who I'm talking about you're welcome to ask me any time. I'm going to see them again this summer with my mum, sister and cousin and I'm SUPER excited!!! I cannot wait... 
Still time to get on with the cleaning... I do that and have time to dance with my Dancing Kittiens - from MishMish at Kustom9 until February 10th - they seem to be enjoying the music as much as I am...

Wandering into the Four Moons

I'm having one of those weeks where everything is going wrong, I've been feeling shit both physically and more worryingly emotionally for a while and I think I'm about to hit breaking point, so if I suddenly disappear then you know why... 
I've tried to find a way to bring myself out of the funky mood, I decided that I needed to slip off into a fantasy world, on an adventure... Hopefully I'll find my way back... Hopefully getting into a fantasy character will help... 

Usually when I find the inner fairy versions of myself, I find myself getting happy...I also find myself getting happy hen I create a story that leads me on an adventure. I was being lead into the wilds of the Four Moons - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - fantasy forest by some of my Garden Friends - an older release from Aardvark that has been one of my favourites for a LONG time - although they seemed a little nervous once they saw the sign... 
I LOVE this super funky looking little fae that came out of my mind with her brightly coloured skin and even brighter accessories... Her skin and hat decorated with pearls, marking her out as a Pearl Fungi Fae - a set from Fantasy Forest Store...

Punishing the Neon Angel

It's the Friday Night before Valentines and that means that it's probably considered to be Valentines Weekend. I'm sure there are a lot of people around that are doing romantic things with their loved ones, dates will be had and gifts may be given, but in a relationship like the one I have with HellBone we're the least couply of couples. Love in our house is one of a close friendship as much as a married couple... Rudh on the other hand needs a little more than that, when the bad girl in her wants to get out, there has to be a way to keep her under control... 

Even the angels need punishment sometimes when they act out, and since there are so many different types of angels, those that are in charge of the punishments are the ones that have to be able to fit their punishment to the angel in question. A Neon Angel like the cute little Rudh in her Fae Bodysuit of neon colours - a bodysuit from Psycho Barbie - and is decorated in the neon lights of her rank. 
When it's time for her punishment, she's thrown onto the nearest Padded Pallet - available from Krescendo at FaMESHed X from today until March 10th - head down, ass up until the punisher gets up from his comfortably relaxing Bright Tantra Seat - from Violetility, also at FaMESHed X - and paddle in hand he leaves his mark...

I'll Sleep Anywhere!

I've been having trouble sleeping... I'm not sure entirely why but for some reason I'm not sleeping very well... I mean OK I wake up a couple of times a night to wee, I have a snoring lump in bed beside me, and a dog that can't make up her mind about if she wants to be on the bed or not... HellBone has even started forming a human burrito in the middle of the night meaning I'm left in the chilly room without blankets... 
For Rudh, the snoring and the bed stealing and the duvet stealing got so bad she said "fuckit" and realised pretty quick that she was tired enough to be able to sleep anywhere... 

The Apartments are a mess right now, but once you shut out the outside world, it's the noises and fidgeting in the night that forced our little Rudh to find somewhere other than her bed to sleep... Luckily she had one of those new Ananas "Sleep Anywhere" mattress and pillow sets - available on sale at The Warehouse Sale now - so armed with her trusty facemask and teddy, she went looking for a quiet place and made it as far as the kitchen floor...

Head Full of Space

Well it's Sunday, and the weekend is almost over, I feel like I should be relaxed but actually the thought of going to work tomorrow is filling me with dread, I'm FAR too tired and a holiday seems like the best thing right now. I feel like I'm not on the planet anymore, like my head is floating in space and there's nothing in it but clouds of dust! 

In fact if you could put my feelings into an image it would be exactly like this right... A look of emptiness on my face and the swirling of stars around in my mind! I'm lost in space, which I'll admit is never a good place to find me since I have more than a little fear of aliens!

Pools of Balls

BALLS BALLS BALLS... That's the best way to describe how I feel right now... I feel like BALLS! Instead of letting myself wallow in the feeling of bleh and unhappiness though I am turning that balls feeling into one of my favourite childhood memories. I used to love when I was able to play in a ball pit at the local indoor play yard when I was a kid. I'd dive right on in and hide until someone came in to drag me out! 

So when I saw this new backdrop from [VOZ] - called Ocean Ball Pool - I knew I would be ridding myself of this feeling of unhappy balls and replace it with a feeling of good ones... Today's Mood... F**K OFF!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT... Today's Mood... F**K OFF!!
It's my day off for the week, but instead of feeling happy and relaxed I feel like crap on a stick. There's no reason to it, I am just having one of those days where I want to be left alone and yet the world and it's mother seem to be on my case! 
So this is the warning, there's only one of them... Now that you've heard I'm being a moody grump today, I need some peace and quiet and a chance to curl up with a book and catch up on some sleep! 

To make my point totally clear I've called a press conference - thanks to the backdrop that I struggled but eventually found this morning from [VOZ] - I tap the mic, and wait for the quiet as I'm about to speak... My feelings are summed up in one action... A flip of the bird! Eye contact across the room with anyone that looks like they are about to speak with a look of "YEAH YOU!" - thanks to the awesome pose from -Extra- - I don't need to say anything, the action is enough... Although, it doesn't hurt that I look like a rockstar while I do it!!

Stop That Sausage Thief!!

Bugger Me Sideways... Today has been even worse weather wise than yesterday, and I think it has something to do with the Thunderstorm that rolled through last night. The air is very humid and it makes it so much harder to breathe today than normal...
So today, all I really want to do is play in a pool in the back yard and eat BBQ food, unluckily for me, things don't seem to want to work that way, and I'm resigned to sitting inside to work. So lucky Rudh, she gets to go out and enjoy some pool time and a BBQ instead of me! 

Sometimes that biatch has all the fun... Dammit! 
So while she was in the back yard, preparing to start an all out war on HellBone the moment he came back out of the door, she noticed that a cheeky little puppy was stealing our dinner... He was just happily helping himself to the sausages that Hell had cooked on the BBQ... The war was no longer between me and Hell, now it was a matter of protecting my sausages!
The pump action Squirter Spurter from Junk Food was the perfect weapon... Blast that little bugger and the games are on!!!
While I'm pointing things out I want to mention my sunglasses, these are my new favourite glasses at the moment. They are cute, and very stylish... Bombs in the Pool

I think that finally my summer cold is shifting, I'm feeling much better and I think that it's finally time for me to think about having some fun again... In RL things have REALLY cooled down - which may be a reason that I picked up the cold in the first place - but in SL it's Summer all the time, and you don't need to worry about getting sunburn, or being too hot LOL! 
Since it's Summer and it's FRIDAY, I'm going to let my hair down and have some fun... Starting with a dip - or should that be a dive bomb - into the pool!!!

Just a few seconds after this photo was taken, the water splashed over the side of the pool soaking everything and creating a need for me to dive down into the water to collect things like my sunglasses! Wasn't a smart move on my part, but hey it was fun! 
I just had the pool installed in my backyard for the summer - it's a release from the Trompe Loeil Collection called "Eloa Rainforest Pool", which looks great in my mountain top garden even though there's not a rainforest in sight! 
Now the problem is I have to leave everything out to dry - oops - my brand new BUENO leather Saba Heels may never be the same again! I really hope that my Fetch "Audri" glasses can with stand the chlorine and won't start rusting!

The last of the Spring Magic...

It's the weekend, well it's Friday at least, and although I don't have to work my SL job this weekend I'd agreed that I would cover a few hours working in the cheese shop tomorrow. I'm far too nice sometimes, I swear?! When will I learn to say no?! 
Still because it's Friday and I feel happy, it's a fairytale time! No I won't be launching into a made up fairytale today but I will be sharing with you the newest in my fairy family... This one is a flower fairy with a naughty little look that makes me smile! 

Don't faint, she's wearing pink, but she's a spring fae... Completing the last of her work before the Summer fae come in and take over at the Lost Unicorn! I also really loved the colours in this picture, so maybe pink is something I'm learning to love... Least it's not purple! 
I want to tell you all about this adorable outfit, it's going to be a look of the day again, kinda, but where to start! 
Let's start with the bodysuit, and work up from there hehe... The bodysuit is one I grabbed in a Saturday Sale gone by I think?! It's a Galaxias Cinched Bodysuit from CURELESS, and YES I chose to wear it in a neon pink colour even though it comes with a huge collection of different options. Moving up a little, I have some of the most gorgeous fairy wings that I've found in a long time in SL, these gorgeous Shimmer Fairy Wings from Lovely Alien, they give me that real pretty Fae touch. The addition of a cute pair of Daisy Glasses from Fetch, and a gorgeous Apis Pendant - from FIKA - complete with honey and a bee finished off the look so I could work my magic in the forest before the Summer Fairies took over. 
Now the necklace is adorable, but its kinda small in the main picture, so I'm being good and adding a close up just to show off those little details more clearly!

Mermaid's Swim in Safe Waters

So I promised two posts in a day, and well I've been on such a mermaid kick lately that I couldn't help myself taking the underwater route again today... What can I say, I love being a mermaid... Let's blame it on Ariel as she started it all, but why blame when we know that it's awesome to be a mermaid!! 

Some how though, when I end up as a mermaid I seem to go pink?! It's not my fault it just seems to be a natural thing but why pink?! 
All of my mermaid looks tend to be very similar though, except maybe this one is showing her adorable DreamyMermaid Ears - from Lovely Alien - but again maybe that's only to hold on her fabulous Audri - by Fetch - Sunglasses as she swims through Safe Waters?!
Now once again I know that certain things aren't clear... BUT I'm learning and have made a close-up to show them off too LOL! Fetching in the Sunflowers

It's such a hot and humid day here today... The earliest days of Summer have got me quaking in my boots. I'm not able to function most of the time it gets too hot, and for the next few months I think I'm stuck this way... Bear with me LOL... 
In the head I'm going to hide out where it's cool and I can be lazy - it's Sunday, and that's what Sunday's are for after all... Today I was doing a little gardening in the shade, and whilst I was picking some sunflowers, I made a new friend for myself! 

I LOVE SUNFLOWERS... Love, Love, Love them! There's always something that seems so happy about sunflowers, and although I'm a macabre little Living Dead Doll, I have to say that yellow is my favourite colour! 
Let me introduce you to my new friend though, isn't he adorable?! He was - and may still be - the group gift for MishMish. It was because of him that things got a little yellow for me, and maybe you might be able to feel the summer heat pouring out of this picture too... A pretty yellow Lolita Top from Pseudo and some gorgeous Winnie Earrings from [Fetch]... It was all yellow!!

Dragon Eggs for an Elven King

Sundays are a magical time... The time of the week when it's still the weekend and it can be as much of a lazy day as you want it to be, but also there's that dread in the back of your mind as work looms on the horizon. 
It's days like today when my mind slips into a fantasy place, and I start day dreaming... Today my dreams take me to a mystical elven kingdom, where the pretty elf maidens are in the process of preparing a delicious brunchfast for their elven king... On the menu this morning, freshly procured dragon eggs... 

The elven warriors were sent on a mission to reclaim the White Gems of Lasgalen - yes it's a Hobbit reference, if you have no idea look it up LOL - but although the Dragon kept all of his precious hoard on this day, the warriors were lucky to escape with both their lives, and a delicacy fit for their king. Dragon Eggs are the BackBone of the Elven Speciality Delicacies, especially when the king has them brought to him by one of his scantily clad beauties.
For those of you wondering by the way, the outfit is actually a dress by Fetch - which I had to add my own panties to, just in case you're a little shy - called Sarella Gown, that I chose to wear with some Lassitude & Ennui Zornhau Boots. A Sprinkling of Salt

OK SO, I don't want to rant but I can feel myself building one up and I guess it's better to let it out in a productive way rather than let it sit so I mull over it and end up in an even bigger mess than when I started!
Today's rant is about me, it's not aimed at anyone and shouldn't be taken as anything other than me just venting steam but it's something that seems to rear it's ugly head on occasion and it makes me into a very grumpy, somewhat depressed - I guess you could say Salty?! - kind of girl... 

I guess what it all comes down to is the fact that I see so many people on Flickr getting hundreds of likes for their pictures and I find myself questioning, doubting, wondering what I'm doing wrong and if there is something I should be doing differently. I know that it's bad to do that, I know I shouldn't be comparing myself to anyone else but sometimes it's hard not to. There are so many people taking amazing pictures out there with such variety of styles, but I bring myself down to a point where I'm about to give up sometimes. It's all because I'm not getting the number of likes I'd want on Flickr... Silly huh?! It's a massive numbers game, a popularity contest and sometimes when I'm really low it feels like I'm losing, but that's not really the point of what I do here is it?!
For me my blog is all about relaxation and therapy - of sorts - I sit here and take pictures, write and feel like the weight is lifted off my shoulders. I know I may not be the best blogger or photographer out there, but I do what I love and if other people enjoy it then that's great! I have to keep telling myself that like a mantra, I have to stop caring about the fact that other people's pictures always seem more "popular" than my pictures and to be honest, I have to stop worrying about what other people are getting and focus on taking the pictures that I know will make myself happy... 
I'm gonna just sprinkle some salt on it... I'm done being salty and complaining and feeling like I'm not good enough... I'm gonna do me, and good luck to everyone else...

It's officially the weekend, and while HellBone and her SL parents are away doing fun things in RL so I should be letting my hair down and partying, but I'm being a good girl and am just sitting at home working... 
Rudh on the other hand is using it as an excuse to let her inner party girl free. She jumped in a cab and is riding all the way to the party, not just any cab I should add, this one is the car of a luxurious party girl lifestyle, complete with bottles of champagne! 

After spending the day out shopping, she used the ample backseat to change into her new clothes, a pair of Melora Leggings, complete with fishnets and bright pink short detail - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - before popping the cork on a bottle of champagne and drinking it from a straw... She's so classy LOL...

A Fairy High Tea

I've had a lovely day having tea at my Grandparents house in RL today, but aside from spending time with my family, I have to say one of my favourite aspects of being at my Grandparents house is their awesome garden. Hidden in the woods, at the bottom of their garden is an area that really seems like a fairytale woodland, there's bluebells everywhere and a cute little brook that would make the perfect riverside location of any good fairystory!!! 
So after lunch I went for a walk into the fairy wood, and as I sat in the sun, it felt like the perfect place for a fairy tea... Funnily enough I had a post ready and waiting for a moment just like this today! 

There's nothing better than a fairytale picnic, nestled in a sunny yet shady spot, and to be honest, furniture and fairy folk aside, this was just like the little nook in my Grandparents garden! 
The furniture though is more than a little epic... I LOVE this set of garden furniture - that's available from Violetility until the end of today for Palette! 
I added some yummy cakes - from random.Matter - which were perfect for a high tea, then found a magic teapot - from the Disorderly Confetti Set - that would make special tea for the fairy folk, and waited... Sure they would turn up! The fairies did not disappoint! After all, who could turn down scones and Jam Rolypoly!

Flowers bring out the SMILES!

I work in a little store in Amsterdam that is located on the old Flower Market. Today, being Easter Monday, I KNEW it was going to be a crazy day but I wasn't expecting it to be as bad as it turned out to be! My goodness I felt like I was going crazy... SO I did what anyone might do, I treated myself to a bunch of pretty flowers - a gift for myself for Easter - something to brighten up my evening and make my house feel pretty! 

I love flowers, you might have noticed that recently, but there's just something about them that always makes me smile! 
I love them in SL too, things like this pose prop from Secret Poses - called Fresh Flowers available at the current round of Sense - and these adorably gorgeous earrings - called Hannah - by [Fetch] at Palette make me smile like a cheshire cat! For those of you that don't know though, Palette is a new event that is inspired by a colour every round, in this case pale pink, but it's a hop around the mainstores style event which is great as it brings you closer to your favourite designers and may even help you find something new you have to have! New Desks Bloom in the Spring

It's been a while now but I LOVE my new computer and I cannot count my lucky stars enough for how lucky I am to have it. Touch wood it stays this way for a while and I can get all the pretties out of it that I want. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it... 
In SL, I wanted to find a cute PC for myself to make me feel better as a tool in my Blogging office at home, and I think that I've finally found it. It's cute, just like the way I try to be in SL... 

The desk is actually a brand new release for the new round of Bloom. Bloom is a pretty springtime seasonal event full of lots of fresh new happiness... It also comes with a chair in matching colours, or you can get the full set and mix-n-match your colours up like I did! 
Rudh likes to make a mess of her own desk but while it's new she's thrown a can of Bitch Fuel - from Cosmic Dust - and a Jar to raise funds for her next PC upgrade, which at the moment is empty and will need to be filled - courtesy of Junk Food.

Saturday Beach Parties!

It's SATURDAY!!! For many people that's a time to go out and enjoy parties or dancing or shopping or other fun stuff, but for me Saturday is still a working day of the week... LUCKILY I have Rudh to go out and do the partying for me. 
This weekend she decided it was time to start thinking about beach parties, she went exploring and found a place where the staff are all VERY deliciously helpful... The staff at Amagansett were delicious, and made excellent cocktails hehe... 

There was a very nice man at the beach bar serving cocktails of all different colours and flavours, and the bar was cute and perfectly beachy. It got Rudh in the mood for some Saturday night cocktails and dancing. 
Luckily this little crazy chick was dressed in beachwear to impress... A new Candi Dress - from epoch at anyBody - in a brilliant shade of blue which she accessorised with some new Twisted Shadows make-up - created by Zombie Suicide for Skin Fair - and an adorably kitsch Pineapple Clutch - which is is a new group gift for Fetch VIP group members! - that is perfect for a night at a beach party! 
One more thing I want to do though, while on the subject of Zombie Suicide and Skin Fair, I'm wearing two of their releases for the event... The Twisted Shadows and the Veeka Freckles... I wanted to make the images clearer, so I'm going to include the ad works for them to give you a better close-up view...

Working 9 to 5...

I'm sick in RL, my boss won't let me come to work. Normally that might not sound like such a bad thing, but I love my job and it's always fun to get into the store! 
So for now I'm resigned to staying in bed, not that it's making me feel any better, and spending far too long playing games on my phone. 
Rudh will have to get out there and start making the money... Make her work for a change! 

The first day of work for her sees her in such a cute outfit, I only hope that she can keep this level of cool working girl style up. 
The outfit is awesome, and a little bit special to Rudh. Recently I applied to blog for Fetch, and this is my first outfit look as one of the new bloggers for the store! I was so excited by getting the position as a Fetch Blogger so thank you for that.
