Mythical Gargoyle or Dark Goddess?!

It's been a weird day today and not entirely in a good way... My mum has been taken into hospital and we are waiting now to see what is going on. I'm on the edge of my seat, and hiding from everything I should be doing today... Of course there is only one thing I could do while I wait and that is to slip into a world of my own fantasy, I used to say the more dead I looked the happier I was... I think now the more fantasy I go, the more scared I feel and am searching for a disconnect... Somewhere a little magical where the beings that can be found hiding in the dark are a lot less scary than real life things... 
Today I met the most gorgeous, ethereal being in a dark and gothic ruin... 

As I was exploring the Ivyfall Ruins - which happens to be one of the most gorgeous new backdrops from Synnergy.Tavis - I stopped to gaze into the pretty birdbath that was glowing in the moonlight... I was mesmirized by the way the flowers growing all over the walls and the way that they seemed to glitter in the moonlight streaming through the arches... 
It wasn't long until I could feel a presence in the room... In the shadows, a mystical gargoyle with a third eye and two mouths in her hands... She's marked as a nightmare - thanks to the amazing Nightmare Fades from Psycho Barbie, available until June 29th at Disturbed - and since it's her job watching over the ruins of this magical place, her third eye seems fixated on me...

Fairy Defence in the Darkness!

Sometimes I have a craving when it comes to blogging to do things that are NOT normal and let myslf get lost in a fairytale, be that a good or a dark one... Being lost in a fairytale really helps me with my mental state and right now being lost feels like a great idea. There is just too much going on in my own little world, as well as in the real world, and without complaining here too much I feel like I'm losing the battle pretty fast... So step back from the norm Rudh and find a way to embrace the darkness... My darkness feels like a HUGE monster, lets make him more friendly and things will calm down once more?! I hope... 

In the garden of the Spinners, my monster floats through the light that breaks through the trees and the darkness... He's a cloaked Hornswoggle - made by Tardfish, available at the Fantasy Faire Aventurine Promenade to raise money for Race for Life - and though he lurks in the dark, when he comes into the light he's a lot less scary and more like a Ringwraith from the Lord of the Rings... 
He's always trying to scare the fae folk that wander through the gardens.. Rudh as a sassy little fae isn't one to mess with. I guess that's why I decided to take on my monster as a fae today... She's a little thorny, but she sparkles in the dark so that the monsters are intimidated. She's armed with her Willowvine Wand - from Simply Shelby at the Fantasy Faire Stoneveil Crossing Sim - and the magic within will keep her monster at bay...

Magic of the Fantasy Faire

Today is an important day today in Second Life, since today is the day that Race for Life opens it's Fantasy Fair and therefore the fantasy beings will be able to gather some amazingly wonderful things, experience just a little more magic and raise some funds that will head towards cancer research... 
Cancer Research is something very important but at the moment I am finding it more so than ever because of my mother being sick with Pancreatic Cancer... I would do anything to find a way for her to feel better right now... I would hope that any glimmer of magic could help... 

We are trying to find happiness in every little thing that we're doing, and we aren't planning things too far ahead so that she can just take things easy and let things happen as they happen... 
I'm searching for as much magic as I can in Second Life to help me get through this, so I can support her...

I wanna be an Easter Feaster!

Easter Monday has always felt like a weird one for me, WHY is there a second day of Easter? I know that for religious reasons Good Friday is supposed to be the day he died, and Easter Sunday was when he was resurrected don't ask me for more details I don't know a lot more than that, I'm sorry... Yet, WHY IS EASTER MONDAY A THING? I'd never complain about extra days off work but hmmm... Christmas has a second day, which we often refer to as Boxing Day - and yes I KNOW the historical reason for that in the UK at least - Easter has two days... When can we start having time off for two days of Halloween?! 

Yet I guess it's just another day to relax, spend time with family or friends, or even on your own like I did a lot of today, and enjoy the treats of the day before just a little bit longer... Easter Monday was always a time to enjoy the eggs that I didn't get to eat on Easter Sunday because we'd spent it at our Grandparents as a little kid... Mum and Dad used to make an excellent family lunch and it was better than the day before because we could be relaxed and not expected to be on our best behaviour lol... 
I wanted an Easter feast for lunch today... I think I got a little carried away. I made sure there was Easter Cakes - thanks to Junk Food - some delightful little Butterfly Sandwiches - from Lucas Lameth - which really helped with the Spring feel to lunch, and even some Hot Cross Buns - from vespertine - that happen to be some of my favourite Easter treats from home... There was plenty of chocolate and loads of eggs too... Perfect for the picnic that I set up on the table in the garden... So perfect that even the little birdies came to visit and join in the fun...

Welcoming the Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter Sunday, it's Easter, it's Zombie Jesus Day and it's the day when chocolate for breakfast is actually required rather than frowned upon... 
I used to love Easter Sundays because Mum would play the game of being our Easter Bunny and hide mini chocolate eggs all over the house and then invariably my sister and I would not only be finding eggs all morning but we would find them randomly for the next few months too LOL... I'm not a religious girl, but would never turn down a chance to find chocolate everywhere... 

Since I'm a little bit too old for being allowed to hunt chocolate eggs, although Hell did provide me with some delicious Cadbury's Mini Eggs this morning, but the only way I'd be getting on the fun would be via the chance to slip into a little Easter Bunny moment of my own... Thank goodness for being able to do just that in Second Life hehe...

Bloomy & Pixie

There's magic in the air tonight... There's something brewing and there may be big news tomorrow... Something that will affect me, more than anyone else but for now the calm has come before the storm, and the storm is brewing... I needed a break from things that were chaotic, work was yuck and I wanted to slip away into a little fantasy tonight... I needed some breathing space, so I took a walk in the garden... I was not expecting to meet something magical... 

In the garden of the farm I'm currently inhabiting, I was watching the sunset behind the gorgeous Faelight Crystal Lanterns - from Simply Shelby at We Love Roleplay until March 28th - and a little movement caught my eyes.

Valentine Treats

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am working and we are moving on Sunday so I have no plans to do much of anything... PLUS I don't really like Valentines anyway, unless you haven't guessed it. I'm not totally anti it, I definitely believe in love but I don't really feel ike Love should just be celebrated on one day... Love is an eternal thing, a thing that should be cherished always... So I'm celebrating the sweetness, the adorableness, and the happiness, all the while my Hubby is watching Friday the 13th and scaring the shit out of me LOL... 

So normally I'd wait until after Valentine's to get my hands on TONNES of discounted chocolates that I needed but sometimes in the middle of al of the chaos a girl needs a little chococlate treat... Now I am planning to do something delicious with all of that Valentine's Candy but I wanted it to be something a little different too, after all, it's not your everyday run of the mill boring kinda candy... 
Maybe I'll enjoy a little Halloween Candy Fondue... Some yummy sweet treats for dipping in the melted chocolate and plenty of lovehearts all around... It all smells so delicious and sweet that it's lured in the Sweet in Pink Flying Hearts - which are part of a set of good and bad hearts from Snuggle&Co for the current group gift - who want to join in the Valentine's Sweet Treat...

Candy Cane Dreams!

I have caught another cold... YAY working in retail is fecking wonderful innit?! I feel like every few weeks I'm coming down with another cold, and it's too late to get a flu jab I think... I'm gonna have to check with the doctor on that one... ANYWAY... It does provide me with the perfect excuse to be able to stay in bed and keep warm... 

I had a strange medicine induced dream today and for some reason I had this dream about being on a Christmas vacation in Whoville... I was looking for the Grinch but I spent far too much time looking for all of the pretty Christmassy things and enjoying the chaos of a Who Christmas that you'd see in the start of the movie... I found the perfect place to have a good little rest from all of that crazy chaos and ended up snuggling in to enjoy a few candycanes before I took a long nap... When I woke up, I woke up in reality too!!

Gingerbread Magic!

You can kinda tell I've had the day off today, a much needed day of rest so I can look through all the things I need to work on and see what crazy interesting things I can come up with... I want to find a little magic, I NEED to find a little magic, and I want something to make me feel Christmassy... 
Let's close our eyes and find a little of the Christmas magic... 

One of my favourite things about this time of year is a sudden need for some gingerbread cookies... I haven't eaten them all year, I've been resisting the urge and now I'm going to enjoy them dipped in some coffee... I cannot wait to taste them... 
I find myself a drawn to the magic of the cinnamon, the ginger, the crunch and apparently I'm not the only one... Sauntering Down Peppermint Lane

Today has been a strange one... Many mixed emotions that I'm not really ready to talk about yet, but also many laughs and lots of happiness to subdue the rollercoaster of feelings... I don't want to make my space here a doom and gloom page, I KNOW there are people in worse places than me and I'd never broadcast too much about what's going on but pease bear in mind I'm in a stange place if things seem to get a little weird... 

Have to distract myself, I need something fun to do and sure as eggs is eggs, Christmas is coming pretty quick so I need to make sure I get things done around the house. Coffee & Apple Pie

A day off and it's been a busy one... One of our big tasks when it comes to the upheaval of next year is passed, and we now have the funds ready from the bank that means we ae ready to go.. ISH!! There is a lot to do before then... However, I've done my chores, we signed some paperwork and even manage to go to a large expat store in Amsterdam so that I could get myself some delicious English Christmas goodies... It has been a damn good day really... 

First time in a while that I feel I've had such a good day, I've accomplished things even though I was half asleep as HellBone drove us around in the car. I woke up too early but I managed to get through all my tasks and even had time to stop off with the ol' man for a slice of fresh apple pie - from Simply Shelby - and a coffee, and then even treated myself to a second coffee that came in the adorable Bear Coffee Cup - from Junk Food - and it was DELICIOUS... It was good to have a good day today...

A Night Trip to the Lake!

My week has been changed somewhat this week and it's actually kinda for the better since I'm basically getting two weekends this week... It's meant that today was a day of total rest. I have been SO LAZY and I've loved every minute of it... 
I've had such a good day that I'm going to do something I NEVER do with HellBone and that is watch a horror movie... He's said it's my choice and for me, I would have to pick one of the OG boys of Horror... I cannot handle Freddie before bed, I won't be allowing Michael to interrupt my thoughts when I'm heading home from work in the dark, and so that leaves ONLY ONE... The man who is always involved when teens get freaky deaky.. I'm going to see Mr Voorhees... 

I am such a chicken when it comes to Horror Movies, and HellBone loves them SO MUCH... I have to at least support him sometimes... 
I'll go down to Crystal Lake, I'll sit on the shore and watch the darkness until a bunch of teeangers are having some fun, then wait for the arrival of the man in the mask... I am scared but it will definitely happen... Listen for that familiar sound in the wind, make sure you're armed and ready incase he finds you in the dark...

Leaving the Engine Room

I dont know what it is but at the moment I'm finding it hard to get into the spirit of Halloween... In fact, let me be honest and totally real here with you a moment, I am findingit hard to get into doing much of anything at the moment. I can sit staring at a look I'm putting together fora picture for hours and find no entertainment in it, all I want to do is sleep right now... That's not good is it?!
Maybe I need to fly away, escape to somewhere that's not in my mind and I don't need to think... Someone come get me and take me away please... 

There is about 8 days left before the Engine Room closes, and the interesting characters that have come out of the woodwork for the opening of the doors are slowly beginning prep for the closing... There are hot air balloons being readied in the wing of Reactor 4 - a building kit from mizu for the Engine Room - and as a captain of one, I'm going to head down early to prepare myself for their flight... My bags are packed, I want to get away...

Days off are lovely at this time of year, or at least I think so... I love having a reason to be hiding in the coziness of my house while the weather is causing chaos around me... I love that this time of year things are getting darker, and since it's spooky season, everything is just that little bit more mysterious... 
I LOVE being all kinds of different characters at this time of year, although I'm finding it somewhat difficult to get motivated this year... I don't know how to get in the zone, maybe I NEED to speak to the mystic gods and ask for some magical assistance... 

Today on a trek into the jungle I've come to ask for assistance from the Cinder Moon Druid - dressed in a Cinder outfit from Enfant Terrible at Engine Room until October 20th, and a Druid Moon Staff from Simply Shelby - at the Sons of the Sun Temple - which is a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - and she's the person that may be able to help...

Piggin' Pumpkin Coffee!

September is almost coming to an end and as I've said before I've been busy planning, sorting and tidying in RL and seem to have so much more to do... February life will change for a little while, but until then I'm going to just carry on and get things done to prepare for that, so I'm sorry in advance if things change and it gets a little chaotic in here... 
SL is busy too... Halloween month is literally just around the corner and although it's exciting, there is a lot that needs to be done for it... Been busy today setting up the Pumpkin Farm in the back field of the garden... I think though it's time for a rest and a coffee break, is that allowed?! 

As I sat down in the long grass, listening to the leaves rustling in the trees as they fall... I left the tractor with the pumpkins still to be harvested and set up my little camping kettle. Being the boujee little dead girl I am, I had the choice of coffee flavours today, a little Pumpkin Spice, some Butter Pecan or Frosted Cinnamon Roll, all from that Junkin Coffee Brand - by Junk Food - and to make it just a little sweeter a little Maple Pecan Prim Mate - also from Junk Food - for that creaminess that makes a sweet coffee more like candy or milkshake than coffee... With a little Cinnamon Roll from the Cinnamazing Delivery - from MOVEMENT - it was the perfect time for a little break... 
Apparently it wasn't even just me that thought so... Some of the Wildest Piggies - from MishMish, available until October 10th at Kustom9 - I have ever met could smell the coffee and came out of hiding... I wonder if they'd like to join me in a cinnamon roll?!

Peach Treats for the Wee Cows!

Well guess who is back again, it's been a VERY busy few days with a visit from my parents but I'm finally back and have SO MUCH to catch up on that I don't really know where to start at all... This visit was mostly for the SAIL Amsterdam event, but entertaining people that are staying in your house definitely feels draining lol... I love my parents, I couldn't ive with them... 
I have a lot of things to catch up on right now... Plants need watering, and there are animals that need caring for on the farm... Let's go do that, it will help to relax me...

Protecting the Magic Eggs

Everything needs a little magic to make it seem like a better feeling... When days are as hot as this it feels like the sun has started blowing more heat our way like a dragon that's pissed off protecting his treasure from those that would try to steal it... The female dragons are too busy protecting their scared sanctums that guard their eggs... 

The Dragons eggs are collected by the Celtic Druidesses, and they are floated within the Wishing Fountain - backdrop by K&S - of the inner sanctum... It is a place of magic, protection, and safety... The ladies protect the eggs in the fountain while th dragonesses protect the celtic magic...

Do you play Croquet?

Things are crazy in my household at the moment. My pain in the butt, whom I love muchly, hubby was operated on yesterday and though he's home he is in a lot of pain. I've been allowed to take a few days off so that I can look after him which so far has been fairly OK... He is a little high on the good kind of drugs, but it's me that seems to be stuck in my own tiring little Wonderland, I'm running around all over the place doing things for him... I finally managed to get a little time to rest and so I ended up finding a Wonderland that was a little less stressful... 

What to do while I'm here to relax? Anyone fancy a game of croquet? I always used to love the idea of the flamingo croquet that Alice played with the Queen of Hearts in the Disney version... I wanted to play with the croquet mallets so badly because they looked like heaps of fun... So in the gardens of Wonderland I'm going to ask, DO YOU PLAY CROQUET?!

Dark Fae Fights

I needed a little bit of magic today, the last two days have been chaos and I have two more to come... It's not long now until Eurovision and that gives me an evening of cheesy entertainment to look forward to...
Since I've been tired and ready to murder people that get in my way, so unfortunately it's only dark magic that I could summon...  

The Dark Fae that I have discovered today is the Bone Warrior, decorated in furs - thanks to the amazing set from Faunus which includes shoulder pads, as well as the crown, necklace, and sword worn here - and a touch of darkness with her Witchdoctor vibes... The only problem is that when she's about to face off the threats, her Dire Wolf Stag companions get a little boistrous and have been known to cut her with their razor sharp claws...

Poppies in Paradise

Fantasy has always been something I totally love, I've loved those fairytales I grew up with, I started  on Lord of the Rings when I was a young teenager, and now I'm addicted to bad boys in Dark Romances with fantasy twists... I have a love of creating fantasy type pictures in my Second Life, but I will admit that I often find myself intimidated by the likes of Fantasy Faire where everything is beautiful and everyone taking pictures of the things on offer and the locations that have been created make me feel I'll never be any good... 

Me being me though I couldn't resist the chance to get a little fantasy all over my rambling space... 
There are so many wonderful little fae folk, who are creeping out of the wood work to explore the faire and say hello... 
Poppy is one of those fae folk - available from BeSpoke in the Nox Aeterna area of the Fantasy Faire until May 4th - who you may bump into, her or one of her kind at least. These adorable little flower fae folk like to spend their time amongst the flowers, while their cousins live amongst the mushrooms, although both like to spend time relaxing somewhere peaceful. A Faelight Crescent Bench - from Simply Shelby, also at Fantasy Faire although this can be found in the Gwath location - in the Moonlight - which happens to be the name of the pose set from -Extra- that I've used, a set which includes more traditional moons for poses and is flipping awesome - can often be close their own form of Paradise...
