Midnight Order Militia

It's January 20th, and that means that today OFFICIALLY the Midnight Order is opening it's doors once again and welcoming the magical spark back into our Second Lives... There is so much going on in the world right now, and I think we need a little magic, a little spark that will make things seem a little better... There is so much going on in the world right now, and not just the wider world, my personal world is in chaos... I NEED to find a way to get myself some answers and calm my mind... I NEED someone to give me a little break... 

I am checking mysef into a cosy little place called Death Row for a while... It's not like the real place but it's a hotel that is themed and the bedrooms are supposed to be cozy, comfortable and padded... They'd make interesting uniforms for a Dominatrix and maybe that's a new career path for me LOL... Making Friends on the Beach

Today I've been off work, off chores and taking it super easy... I'm being LAZYYYYYYYY... I want to just kick back and chill... I wanted to laze on a beach in the sand and read a good book, or build a sandcastle... Perhaps even more fun, since I enjoy doing them in the snow, I'll make the sand a little wet and build Sand Men!!! 

I'm Living Life - thanks to this adorable pose from -Extra- that should be part of a couple pose and I should be leaning on a human friend, but I don't have any of those lol - and the little goth girlie that I am, sometimes, can't resist wearing  HUGE hat to hide myself from the sun to sit on the beach and build the Sandmen - from Chez Moi at Tres Chic,

Glammed up for a Night Out

I had to step away from the hearts and flowers for a moment... I was going crazy with all the adorable sweetness and needed something a little darker to appease my darker side - the bad girl, not the dead girl version of me lol - so I got myself all glammed up, ready to head out for a night on the town... 

I guess that one could say this is a bit of a "Look-of-the-Day", but it's more like a look of the night perhaps... Fishin' for Rabbits!

Tired, and sore, I got home from work... Wanting nothing more than a delicious vegetable pizza - which I'd been dreaming about all day LOL - and to veg on the couch... Then I noticed a little problem in my garden! You see I went outside to collect some toppings for my pizza - nothing much just some peppers and some onions and tomatoes - but there was already someone making use of my vegetable garden... 

There was a little furry friend, right out in the open... EATING MY CARROTS!!! Plans had to change, I needed to find a way to get him out of my garden... I ran back inside to grab some of the carrots that I'd already harvested, thinking smart I grabbed a stick and tied a carrot to then end of some string... I was going fishin' for bunnies!
As a proud plant parent it's the right thing to do, I mean my shirt says so, thanks to the AMAZING new release from Ananas at Equal10...

She ain't no Peaky Blinder!

You might have realised that I'm more than a little homesick, and it's making me think back to my family past and present... I've had some very interestingly, colourful characters in my family tree, including a prostitute from London that was alive and working when Jack the Ripper was around, a Bishop of London and even a designer of a well-known memorial momument in Belgium... 
Yet now I'm thinking of my Dad's father and his brothers.. They were a group of 10 and were lads in London, and although they weren't around as early as the 1920's, pictures of them definitely made me think of the Peaky Blinders... 

Of course, one thought led to another, and I'm instantly feeling like I need to re-create something a little 1920's Peaky Blinderish... As my puppy - a German Shepherd Pup from Foxwood at Kustom9 - and I wandered through the streets of Old London - the Victorian London level of the Time Portal - I started to blame my sudden desire for a Peaky Blinder moment on the pictures, but also the amazing new hat and hair that I'd recently treated myself to...

 Work has been slow, I'm hanging out chillaxing and waiting on my time in the spotlight... I'm waiting in the wings for my turn and looking like a bit of a mess... It's lock down time, everyone is looking messy and no one cares, but I guess I should have thought this through more efficiently... I'm a stripper waiting in the wings, and suddenly it's my turn...

Back to the Classroom!

OK you're probably going to get bored now, I'm still thinking about my Grand Adventure... Knowing me it could be a while coming yet, but I'm planning and working things out in my head. Yet right now I'm back in the classroom, looking at maps and making notes and working on mental arithmetic to get myself prepped! It's a tough life, but if I don't I'll have a nervous breakdown and will end up staying home LOL...

I've always loved the idea of travel, I managed to visit some amazing places in my life including Russia and New Zealand, but there's still so much of the world left to explore. I'm just kinda too scared to get on a plane anymore - flying 24 hours to New Zealand REALLY put me off another plane flight again - but there's a lot of places much closer to home I want to see, I've never been to Italy for example! 
Geography was always one of my favourite subjects at school, I loved learning about different cultures, I guess that's why I wanted to travel so much when I was younger. So the Focus Poses Classroom Backdrop at Backdrop City proved to be the right place to sit and plan my Grand Adventure. I giggle at myself though because maybe it's the school thing, but without thinking about it, I look like a bit of a school girl LOL. Well Behaved Woman?!

Well Behaved Women Don't Make History... Ain't that the truth... It's always been the ones that are willing to stand apart from the crowd, stand up for what they believe in and force people to listen that are the ones history remembers. 
Being one of those women that stand out is terribly hard to do, in RL I'm a joker but it's something I hide behind. I guess in SL, Rudh being such a bad girl at times is something I hide behind too... So maybe the real me has to work harder to make history... Rudh may have it a little easier?!

Even if she doesn't make history though, Rudh will be looking stylish as she is a bad girl! 
I have to say that this is more of a Look-of -the-Day type post than any I have done recently, it's more about fashion than I'm used to, but I just LOVE this outfit!! 
Taken in the FOXCITY "Tasty AF" Diner - at Backdrop City - this outfit was something that I've since pimped out to more than one friend LOL... It was the pants that attracted me at first, with the frills and the skull lace, but the outfit as a whole from E-Clipse Design is just GORGEOUS!

A Booty Call for a Valentine

BAH HUMBUG... Wait can you say that and make it count for Valentines day too?! Oh, nevermind, I'm going to, and everyone else can just take it LOL... I don't really rate Valentines as a holiday, everyone seems to go cuckoo for it, and it cannot be avoided it seems, so I will just do it my own way, a little Anti-Valentines and a lot of naughtiness rather than cutesiness today...

The new Ama release for ROMP is also ready and waiting it seems, someone's going to either be a very lucky boy or in a lot of trouble today LOL... Back Home Without Her Keys!

Back home in the Netherlands since yesterday, I'm trying to spend this weekend resting after a busy visit to my parents and lots of craziness that I know is on my way. I had so much fun while I was in the UK, but now it's back down to earth with a bump... BUT FIRST SHOPPING!!!
Missing the events in SL has been OK but now I'm home... Rudh will have to get her little avatar butt busy!!
There is just one problem at the moment... 

She cant get into her house, because she cannot find her keys?! Sitting on the steps to the treehouse, she has opened her purse and checked through her shopping, but now she is going to have to wait until HellBone turns up to open the door again... Dammit! 
What will she do to fill her time?! More Shopping perhaps?!

Calling Home

I'm feeling the homesick feeling again... It happens every so often and right now it's here and here to stay. Possibly because I've been sick lately, and maybe added to that the fact that my little sister's birthday is coming up, but right now Rudh is incredibly home sick... Finding a man and getting married to someone in a different place through SL may sound like a fairytale, but it does come with it's not so good side too!! Not that I'd change the adventure of it, but I wish we lived closer to home... 
I'm going to have to suck it up and call home... I do regularly call the UK, but when I feel this home sick it has a dual effect of making the feeling of missing home worse while actually helping too... Sounds bonkers I know but I guess just hearing the family helps somewhat!?!

Of course when Rudh calls home she does it in a totally different way... It's hard for the living dead Doll in me to call to my "other" family - not the MC they are always around but the other Dead side of the family LOL... 
Rudh decided to call home and with the help of one of the awesome already laid out WHOLE WHEAT locations it was easier than she had imagined... Like having a cell phone for the undead... Calls are cheap too... One human heart and some time spent at the Ouiji Board will do! 
It's never easy calling the undead, the line connection is always so shaky, and unlike a phone they are always able to cast an evil eye over the caller - tormenting her so that even her piercing scars bleed - but at least it gives her some reassurance just like calling my RL parents gives me. 
On the subject of piercing scars, and just to wrap up the ramble for today, I have added a close-up look at them in the photo below... These are the SongBird Puncture Piercings available until June 31st as a Hunt Prize for the Body Art Hunt II - so FREEBIES!!!! Love that term!
