F**K this thing called Reality!

It's finally the weekend and it will be my last before I start doing cheesy things on the weekends too... I'm kinda looking forward to doing cheesy weekends, but that's not going to stop me taking it easy and slipping into a fantasy world now while I have the chance... Today the theme though is totally anti-reality, in fact fuck reality... I want to be in a happy place...

I think aside from my RL Happy Place, which right now would involve my parents because I miss them SO MUCH, I would have a happy place that was sparkly and pretty, with a heap of cute and nothing scary like. It makes me laugh how much I can make myself a dead doll, but in reality I'm terribly chicken about all that! 
I think one of my happy places in SL has to be The Outer Garden... It's a real escape from reality, a total Fuck Reality - yes I keep saying it because of the awesome mask that matches SO perfectly with the Ethel Bra that I'm wearing, but that's probably because both of these things come from Tentacio!

Under the Constellations

Work in RL has been exceptionally slow as of late, and today it was mind-numbingly boring, so you won´t mind that now that I'm home all I want to do is slip into another fantasy world... Happiness on the TV and my mind in a fairy land... 
In fairyland the season is a little slow to change, maybe that reflects the weather in my RL now, but in the growing twilight as the stangely late snow falls, our little fairy friend hurries to find shelter in the warmth of her magical little home...

Dashing through the Outer Garden, she tries to escape the snowfall luckily protected under the Constellation Umbrella - from YOKAI - that she carries as a fae of the starlight, she wishes her dress was warmer..

The God of Time's Assistant

The snow has taken over the Netherlands... Everything is white, and the snow is blizzarding through the air like fairy dust in the wind. I guess you could say that it was somewhat an inspiration for the Fairy that danced into center stage in my mind today... 
The Winter Fairy of Death decided to make herself at home in the wintery forest that is my imagination. The Winter swirling it's glittering snowflakes on it's blustery breezes... 

This little fairy goddess is an omen of change, although looks may be deceiving she is not the dark portent that she might seem. 
It is true that she may carry a scythe - thanks to FIKA at Midnight Order - and not just any Scythe, it happens to be the Scythe of Kronos and anything that belonged to the Father of Zeus and the God of time shows that she means business... The Dark Magic from Koroko bubbling in her hand, creating the glittering snowflakes that dance into the blizzard of The Outer Garden. 
The fairy we spotted today is an assistant to the God Kronos, assisting his passing of time allowing the seasons to change in their own slow and steady way. Helping Winter to change to Spring this time she seems too captivated by the snowflakes, but maybe soon she wil let the new replace the old and dead...

Magical Dragons

Halloween is over for another year and I'm kinda sad about it... So many people are already talking about Christmas, and the boys in the MC are talking about Halloween 2021, but I'm just trying to get through another day... I felt a little sad, morose even, and so needed to do something to cheer myself up... Normal People clothes are a lot less fun than Halloween costumes, but then I found a box of stuff from Psycho Barbie and was like YAY... Let's make some pretties!!!

I found this awesome Ava Top - from Psycho Barbie -  and because of the pretty Asian style dragons on the sleeves, I took that direction and went all out pink and draconic in The Outer Garden! Her Katat0nik Cloud Dragon assisting the magic...

Ostara's Altar welcomes the Witches of Spring

To herald the start of Spring, the beautifully Spring themed events are starting and there is an abundance of all things pretty and spring-like pouring into the dark Wintery corners of Second Life. One of those, may or may not, have been called in by the witches of Second Life... It's the welcoming of Spring at the Gardens of Ostara's Altar... 

While I was playing with the goodies from Ostara's Altar, I found myself being drawn out into the mystical wilds of The Outer Garden to feel the nature of spring... 
Some how the magic took control of me and the Spring crept into my dark little dead doll heart...

The Last of 2019

It's the end of the year, and that means that tonight we should celebrate. 
In RL I'm going to celebrate by sitting in a cabin in the woods - trying hard not to kill my mother in law who does nothing but bitch about everything and anything - but that does mean that I can chillax in my Jammies, watch something silly on the TV when I don't have my nose in a book, and celebrate the New Year coming. It's not just a new year though, it's now a New Decade... Gone are the 10's and here come the 20's...

For Rudh though there's a chance to dress up pretty, look sparkly gorgeous and drink more than a little Champagne - her driver is away and while the cat's away the mouse will play so they say anyway - she's found herself somewhere beautiful in The Outer Garden, and has popped open a bottle of bubbly... Dressed in a gorgeous glittery Kaliyah dress from Decoy.

Spreading Magic in the Misty Gardens

Fantasy draws me back time and time again, I have never been a girl that was able to just take normal fashion shots... For me if I'm working on something blogging wise it should be something pretty, sparkly and lost in a magical realm... 
Today I drifted back into a fantasy, and ended up spreading magic in The Outer Garden with the prettiest dragons... 

The adorable little dragons are available from lassitude & ennui at The Ark until September 22nd, and they can be found in a range of different colours, so you can mix and match them depending on your mood, attitude or element of choice! 
I skipped around the Outer Garden, although my face wrapped in it's ribbon was in a lot of pain due to the painful head injury that was sustained in a recent fight, the little demon was still able to spread some of her devious magic over the peaceful place... Disguised as stars, for easy hiding, she can sit back and watch the chaos unfold...

Prettiness and Magic in the ECLIPSE

I'm working today, so as I'm sat behind the PC I thought that I might as well get in some blogging time. There's not much else that I can do really, and I LOVE having a chance to sit back and relax with a blog post. 
Today I want to share something which comes from a surprising place, but truly works in such a versatile way... I'm talking about the darkness that comes from the ECLIPSE event, and using it in a way that's no where near dark or macabre, in fact it is the total opposite, and it really works! Helps me to think outside the box, and I hope that it would inspire people to do the same?! 

So, as you can see it's nothing like my usual post would be for ECLIPSE. It's far too light and girlie, but I felt a little inspired to create something that would allow people to think outside the box, and just because the event is all about the darkness, doesn't mean it can only be used for darkness! 
The ECLIPSE item that is behind all this would be the awesome shoes that Rudh is wearing, these are a release from lassitude & ennui - called Jezebel Sandals - and they come in a range of colours with gold or silver metal accents. Dressed in the right way they could be perfect for a dark, Lolita kinda look, but right now with this outfit they screamed pretty! I LOVE that they can be so versatile!!!
The photo was taken at the amazing Outer Gardens' new fairground location, and as with their other designs, it's super pretty and magical. I fell in love with the location, and it just seemed perfect for my pretty girlie look... 
I guess the rest of my outfit could be seen as a Look of the Day! A look with lots of flowers and happiness... Ranging from the LODE flowers in her hair, to the tiny little flowers on her fashionably dead jeans, she's top to toe in flowers!

A Kaleidoscope of Butterflies

I feel like doing something pretty today, something that isn't really a normal look or style for me, but with my same usual fairytale flair perhaps... Something of a more modern fairytale princess, in a less and typical style of dress but looking very very pretty none-the-less... 

I guess you might say that this is a look of the day for me, it's a dress that as soon as I saw it I had to have and even though the colour I chose was not a normal one for me, I cannot get enough of it's soft pastel shade. 
I went for a walk through the beautiful Outer Garden in this gorgeous dress by Kaithleen's and was immediately joined by a group of butterflies... What is the term for a group of butterflies - opens google - apparently it's a Kaleidoscope... A Kaleidoscope of butterflies sounds so pretty!

Rose for a Belle

This weekend, was the wedding of my SL Niecey - Kitten of the Ghost Bully's - to her big Damenbinde - German Maxipad hehe... It was a short and sweet wedding, that HellBone had the honour of officiating as an MC President - although I had to step in and save the day making a few things up as we went LOL... Still my neice was happy, and I got to dress up like a pretty princess too LOL - it's the only good thing about SL weddings, means I get to look fancy formal LOL!! 
Then yesterday was the opening of a new round of Enchantment - I got so excited, it's my favourite this time... Beauty and the Beast!!! I was sent some gorgeous poses that have been released at this event, and everything tied together so beautifully I was a very happy Princess Rudh!! 

The Rose Imperium at The Outer Garden is one of my favourite pretty places in SL... It's gorgeous, a mix of industrial and nature, and perfect for what I wanted! 
The dress was something I'd been saving for a rainy day - or a wedding - I never get to go anywhere formal anymore, it's just not on Hell's agenda, but sometimes you find a dress and fall in love. I did it with this one, it's a United Colors Angel Wedding Dress in a blue colour!! 
Then there is the pose that I mentioned, without this pose, the picture may be something a little less romantic... This is a new release pose from NANTRA for the Beauty and the Beast round of Enchantment. It's part of a set of 6 poses that include rose and candelabra props!! For the theme, AND the time of year, this pose just screams perfect!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

YAY IT'S FINALLY HERE, THE DAY THAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS... TODAY I'M GOING HOME TO SEE MY FAMILY AND SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH THEM YAY!!!!!
Sorry for the excitement, anyone who knows me would know that it's been a few years since I had the chance to go home and spend the holidays with family, so it's a pretty big thing!

The Winter Wraith

In The Outer Garden, Winter has come... It's cold but the sparkling snow brings a magic to the land that exudes that magic of the season... Every where you look a twinkle can be seen, but in this secret place it's not the light reflecting on the snow that causes these tiny little sparkles. The fairies of The Outer Garden are dancing, sharing their happiness with those that dare to dance with them... 
There is one soul that can be seen at The Outer Garden though which remains wistful, dreamy and unaware of the fae folk. If you're lucky you may catch her... She's the soul that's been scarred by the snow, the Winter Wraith... 

This poor soul was scarred when the magic went wrong. Her oracle eye - a random.Matter Cygla Eye if you want to know - was a curse from her birth, yet it was those first flakes of snow she felt on her cheeks which left her a wandering wraith. 
These Snowflake Cuts on her cheeks - an awesome gift for the Women's Only Hunt at Zombie Suicide - are a reminder of this suffering she faced, the dream-like look of her third eye remembering the happier times while her hunger has her hunting for fae folk to feast on.

Through the Rose Garden

After her harrowing experiences at the hands of a dark and mysterious captor, Rudh was eventually freed, but sometimes as is the case with many a dark twisted romance, the victim and captor have fallen in love... Such was the case with Harley Quinn and the Joker, but without the toxic waste or the insanity - and yes I have just recently seen the movie Suicide Squad which is why I bring that up now! 
Finally freed, the man that lurks in shadows left her a gift of a new dress, something that she slips on and that fits her like a glove, along with the most delicate looking white rose as a symbol of new beginnings but also one of remembrance. Though her biggest surprise, her sudden freedom aside, was that when she went to walk away, she turned a corner and it was beautiful... 

The Outer Garden of the Rose Imperialistic is filled with soft sweet rose blooms, and although maybe not for her alone, this gesture from her mysterious captor makes poor little Rudh's heart sing a little. 
Her dress is a somewhat new release from Addams, something that she's had her eye on for a while, a form fitting Donatella dress in a soft shade of gray, and it's as if he knew that was what she wanted... 
Maybe now he will reveal his true form and let her know him, but as our heroic victim walks through the roses all she can do is close her eyes, to dream and let the horrors of yesterday disappear...

A little 1920's Glamour

I know I promised people around me that I wouldn't think about work whilst I was away, but for me blogging isn't really work, it's more of a means of release if I'm being totally honest! Hence, why I make time for it even though I am technically on holiday!

Today I want to share something very pretty, rather romantic atmospherically and something that feels a little bit magical - in the same way that having some time to relax at home is feeling, I guess?!

This time I'm taking a trip back in time, as I've been thinking about the Retro Rewind event that has been taking place in SL and that closes on the 12th, and I slip back in time to the roaring 20's. A time of glamour and depression all rolled into one decade, a time when Art Deco was the height of fashion...

I chose an amazing dress from the event to share with you, something so pretty but something that I'd never normally choose too. It gave me the chance to slip into a fantasy character that would have felt right at home in a 1920's gangster family. She oozes glamour and elegance. The dress is the Evening Dress from Sakide - which you can pick up at the Retro Rewind until October 15th - and I accessorized it with a cute Crochet Choker from (Yummy) and a wig that Wasabi Pills made a long time ago which is perfect for the era.

A glamorous look needs a glamorous location to be seen in. The location I chose was perfect, though nothing of the mobster feel really, but the glitz I was looking for could be found at The Outer Garden!

Still for now I have done with the glamour I think, it's time to slip into my PJs and curl up warm and cosy...

She's a Lady...

I'm hiding in a dreamlike state, but I'm not sure if that is just because I'm tired OR because I feel like being a bit of a dreamer... So much has been happening and I have lots to play with, things I've bought and things I've been given, but I just haven't had the mojo to blog anything for the last few days...
Blogging and taking the pictures to blog has always been an escape, a happy place, yet I just cannot seem to get my head in the game. It's silly though, and I am going to pick myself up, dust myself off and kick my own butt a little to make myself do it - I know it's best for me right now, a little escape to play with my hoard, and I do have some VERY cute things to share with you! 

This is one of those very cute looks that I put together and I thought "why not share it with you, it's what I've always done so get off your lazy butt and do it"... My pep talk LOL, works to a point and you have to keep reminding yourself of it... 
As soon as I saw the outfit, by Moon Elixir at the latest and soon to close round of Whimsical, I NEEDED to have it. There was one issue and it was kinda silly because I had NO IDEA what colour I wanted and what combination I had to own - in the end I went with something classic and simple, black on white! Wouldn't it be so much easier if everything was black and white! 
To complete the look I needed something a little quirky - and found the perfect accessory in the form of this huge white hat in the Magika Hair Darkness Falls, which gave me that feeling of being a lady... The perfect location for my picture came to mind, The Outer Garden, if you don't know it you should check it out then perhaps you will realise why. 
Working on this has made things seem to be a little easier, I hope that perhaps maybe I will be able to do more... I need to do more... I just wish everything was so simple in black and white!

Ugh sometimes you need to stop and restart the day again... Today is one of those days, connection issues to work made me worry I'd be forced to go in rather than have a lazy day in my pjs whilst working from home LOL... Still lucky that the tech guys at work are not only fast but sweethearts that are willing to help! 
So today it will be a leisurely, lazy day - in RL I will likely have a pj day, but in SL I'm going to take it easy and enjoy a little opulence! 

Such a lovely word, Opulence, but what does it truly mean? Well anything luxurious or of great wealth apparently, and I think I found the PERFECT place for that in SL, don't you? The Outer Garden has a collection of little scenarios like this one, all beautiful but all slightly different, and this one simply screamed luxurious wealth at me! So I decided to become a lady of Opulence myself and dressed for the role!!
With my favourite pair of boots - HOLLYHOOD by the way - I went for something a little grand but still Rudhish hehe... At a recently passed round of Fifty Linden Friday, Foxes released some amazingly adorable things that screamed perfect for Autumn! The Sweater Dresses in their autumn hues are soft looking, and snuggly, even though they are short, and when I added the Faux Fox Stole in a slightly darker chocolate brown I was more than a little pleased! 
All I need now is for someone to show up with a cup of tea, ooooh or for a little more opulence, champagne!?!
