Gifts of the Gods

It's been a while since I did something that lt my fantasy side out to play and for some reason I found myself veering towards the magical, dream-like and fanstastical... I had no idea where I would go, but my mind lead me to something a little God-like... Not any modern god either, this one was a little historical magic... 

I think that today though, the magic did have some kind of base in reality... My feet are hurting after a long day of work and well... I kinda wished for magical gifts of shoes from the gods... Little did I know that it was the Egyptian gods that were listening and that they'd grant me the magic of their people to walk on... 
I'll be walking like an Egyptian in no time...

Dark Fae Fights

I needed a little bit of magic today, the last two days have been chaos and I have two more to come... It's not long now until Eurovision and that gives me an evening of cheesy entertainment to look forward to...
Since I've been tired and ready to murder people that get in my way, so unfortunately it's only dark magic that I could summon...  

The Dark Fae that I have discovered today is the Bone Warrior, decorated in furs - thanks to the amazing set from Faunus which includes shoulder pads, as well as the crown, necklace, and sword worn here - and a touch of darkness with her Witchdoctor vibes... The only problem is that when she's about to face off the threats, her Dire Wolf Stag companions get a little boistrous and have been known to cut her with their razor sharp claws...

Uwila, the Keepers of the Quartz

Today I had the day off and I felt like I needed a little magic, things are beginning to look a lot like Spring and the sun has finally started defrosting the Netherlands but I get the feeling that by the time my Birthday gets here the weather may have changed a little.. I NEEDED some magic... I called out into the eather and found a magical being with a store that needed to be told... 

Within the Ivy covered hallways - a backdrop from Paparazzi - of the castle there are a wide range of magical beings gathering... It was the arrival of the Uwila - which happens to be a head and body release from BeSpoke - that caused the most stir. The ethereal, celestial bird like beings are keepers of the Ephemera Quartz, and they harvest the magic through their Magus Rods - a release from Quills & Curiosities - in the hopes that Spring will be a happy, wonderful one...

Releasing the Snow Storm...

I know that sometimes my blogging is all over the place, and one day I'm bright and colourful while the next I'm darker and more dead looking... This time of year as the weather is changing and the winter whites and greys are taking over from the Autumn colours... Soon the reds, golds and browns will be a thing of memory and the whites will be altering the landscape... All it takes is a simple magical gesture from the fae, and everything changes... 

When the Fall Feels hit, and the air starts to get colder... The Fae are slowly starting to get weaker and beginning to show signs of decay, so even though her flowers and leaves are beginning to turn red, her body is decaying before her eyes... All she needed to do now was uncork the bottle, release the Stellar Dendrites and watch as they take a Leafy Ride on the wind...

A Raptorous Escape

I'm having more of those days that leave me feeling knackered... I'd been looking forward to having Sunday and Monday off together, because two days in a row always seems to feel better than just one day between two working days, but unfortunately I don't think that will be a thing this coming weekend... Maybe one day I'll be free... 
Tallking of being free, there are so many times that I want to escape. I'm not sure where I'd run away to, but the idea of running away sounds like a good idea sometimes. If I was to run away would I go alone, or with friends? Whatever I do, I want to run away... 

I think that tonight on my adventure of escape took me to an island whose inhabitants are a little special, and older than any other beings on earth... They shouldn't be locked in cages, maybe the big bad boys that eat all the littler things, but it would be fun to set some of the little guys free. Maybe they'd even let me run free with them... Mushrooms can make you Silly!

I get super excited when I get to slip off into a fantasy world, I LOVE being a fairy and I love letting my mind wonder. I do feel like if I was a fantasy character, as much as I wish I was able to be a mermaid I think by this point the fairy is much more likely... I LOVE being a fairy, I love the fact they can have so many different personas and I LOVE exploring them all... 
Today I ampining for Autumn, I hate that Summer comes in the middle and I know that maybe I'm in a minority but me and the heat doesn't mix... I love the crisp feeling that comes with Autumn, and the colours that dust the nature... It's also the time of year when you get to meet some of the cutest fairies... It's a season when Mushroom Picking is a hobbie for some, and the fairies like to get in on that action too... 

So when you're out in the woods on a mushroom hunt, make sure you keep your eyes open because flitting around the mushrooms you may find your very own Mushroom Fae... 
She's a sporelicious fae, the fairy of the Woodland Spores and like the rest of her kin has adopted the persona of the Portabella fairy all because she loves the polkadots... 
She's dancing around the forest glad, collecting mushrooms, and getting the giggles as her little Badger buddy decided that he had to dress up to match me...

What do we do in the Shadows? We Party!

March 19th is my Birthday!!! Today I am celebrating my birthday and today has been a happy, warm and relaxing kind of day. I've had a lovely day and cannot believe how lucky I have been. 
I had a visit from the family... It's not very often that I get to see my parents in RL and I cannot ever get enough of talking to my mum face to face in RL... There's never a bad time to see them, at least there has never been anything so bad that it ruins a visit... 
While I've been celebrating, Rudh has been celebrating too... She's been hanging out with her family, at least the family that I would want her to have... 

They are the oddest kind of family, a group of people thrown together in bizarre circumstances, but I know that Rudh could fit in well with the cast of 'What we do in the shadows'... She isn't afraid of the shadows, and would make a brilliant addition to the staff of the Vampire Nightclub! 
When she decided to throw a little birthday party for herself, Rudh knew she had to invite her Vampiric Family - which happen to actually be two sets of dolls made for Garbaggio for a previous event, that are now available in the mainstore - with decorations in the castle of some amazing Helium Balloons - from Junk Food - and a Birthday Cake... I mean Birthday Pizza - from Hangry...

The Witch Doctor and Her Pets

I needed to get away from the Valentines prettiness, I needed to do something a little different. I wanted to let my mind slip away into a fantasy place, I needed to let my mind wander into an Enchantment that's far away from the Valentines magic... I'm on an adventure into the jungle to find myself a Witch Doctor... 

There's a Fantasy Oasis - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - in the middle of the jungle, where the leopards congregate around their mistress... The malevolent looking Witch Doctor - an outfit from !dM deviousMinds at Enchantment this month - who can summon the wild cats spirits and guide them as her minions in times of need... Mummy's Lil' Trick or Treaters

We're getting closer and closer to the day that the kids are allowed to wander the streets begging for candy. It's not something that we really do here in the Netherlands, although Halloween is slowly becoming more and more popular, but I can't help but get into the Halloween spirit and feel lucky that I'm able to do more Halloweenie stuff in SL... 
Though for my 31 days of Halloween look today I've been lumbered with a rather arduous task of taking the streets kids out Trick or Treating... I'm a Mummy that's been made to be a mummy to all of the little monsters... 

I'm going to wander along the Trick-n-Treat Lane - a backdrop from Synnergy, that's now become Synnergy.Tavis - with an army of monstrous kids of different ages and sizes, wearing all manner of different costumes; some scary others not, and we are going to have a great time collecting candy... Even the family pets got a chance to come out for a little Trick or Treating... As their "Mummy" minder though I've laid down the rule that I get at least one treat from each of the kids tonight... The Mummy Awakens...

Well it's finally here, the Gators MC Halloween Maze has opened and this year it's our 8th... It's bigger and better and crazier than ever, but I'm biased and have no idea what everyone else will think! I'd love to know what people think if they do make it! I decided to give a little teaser with today's outfit... 

Just a little teaser about the things that work in the dark at the Gator Maze! We have all kinds of bumps and scares, oogie boogies and dark spookies... Vampire, Werewolves and Mummies can be found hiding in the dark... You never know what you will find...

Re-born like a Phoenix

One of the things I thought about while I was at home, before my holiday, was that I might need some things to blog since I love using it as a form of relaxation. So I was smart and came prepared with some things that would be interesting to share... More things that I wanted to share, rather than anything that was required of me!
Now, some of you may know, and others not, that being back home in the UK is for me like a chance to recharge my batteries. Just being in my old childhood bedroom helps so much... I feel like I'm re-newed, recharged and invigorated! A little like the re-birth of a Phoenix... 

I guess right now I'm feeling more than a little jubilant, since I just returned home from a shopping trip in RL to discover that I've actually lost 2 dress sizes in RL!!! I'm not only taking the time to relax for a change, I'm also feeling much more positive about things and therefore feeling awesome... A phoenix rising from the ashes!

The Dark Gateway - which is the background prop - and the End of Innocence poses are the perfect showcase for allowing your inner darkside to break free. I, of course, being a little weird sometimes decided to add a little fireplace and make it look like the phoenix being reborn surrounded by the darkness of the skulls and their former life!

Adventures in the Pages of a Book

I've been saying for the past couple of days that I want to go on an adventure... I want to explore, and discover new things, but - and this is a rather important, big butt - as yet I'm being far too lazy in actually starting on my adventures. 
The biggest adventures I'm having at the moment is when I curl up in my comfy arm chair and let myself get lost in a book, preferably with a blanket and a cup of tea, if I'm really lucky... 

Getting lost in a book has always been one of my favourite past times, I love being able to lose myself in a world away from reality. Finding SL was a way to escape the reality, but even here sometimes I feel there is a need to escape! 
So I'm curled up with a book and watching the magic of the pages drag me away into another fantasy... The magical sparkles right from the page, and the monsters and fairies and dragons are here to guide me... 
Nothing is better than a day in your PJs, than a day in your PJs with a blankie, a cup of tea and a good book!!

Sorry I'm rocking out in my own little world to the Bangles song "Walk Like an Egyptian" since I've been working on a photo that I wanted to take with a very Egyptian Pharaoh type theme... I blame it on some of the awesomeness that I picked up at the latest round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival... stuff that had been hidden in a tomb for over 3000 years. 

To think all this started, and a song got stuck in my head, because of a few new goodies... I'm actually gonna lay most of the blame on Violetility this time... Gwen made an awesome Pharaoh's Legacy set for the FGC - which includes but is not limited to the throne and THREE different Head dresses I'm wearing... Fae, I wanna take you to a Fae Bar!

I'm not feeling so well today, I've got a summer time cold amongst other things, so when I tried to sit myself down to get some photography done my mind was having none of it! Luckily for me though I had some ready and waiting, and even luckier for me there was one that followed on from my fantasy fairytale post of yesterday. I think I'm in the mood for it now, a fairytale that takes me away from my Summer Cold, and into a land where magic exists! 
Fairy Rudh found an amazing bar... Deep underground in an enchanted cave at the Stormwood...

Sins Released... Greed when Shopping

So I mentioned before about a series of poses that are getting me all excited from Image Essentials... The IE store has released a set of poses for Designer Circle which are focused on the Seven Deadly Sins... This of course, appealed to me right away, and although Wrath has been done, the others are slowly coming to me too... Today is the turn of Greed... 
When Greed was released, there was only one place that she was drawn to, like a moth to a flame... 

Now before I go further, I am not saying that the Arcade's owners or designers are Greedy... I don't want to get myself into trouble here, but I find that I - myself - get very greedy with the opening of one of these big gacha events, be it The Arcade, The Epiphany or otherwise. 
As she's Greed, this little demon is draped in gold and riches... Everything from her jewels to her bikini are draped in gold. 
Finding herself at a place where so many people get greedy she's a happy little sin...You could say she's as happy as sin hehe...

An Enchanted Warrior

The dark magic has taken over and although I've said it before I will say it again, I'm SO EXCITED that October has finally arrived! For the month I'm going to be letting my imagination run wild and that means there will be a lot of blood but a lot of magic too... 
Today I'm doing something pretty but magical, one of my dear friends won something gorgeous and decided that I would be the lucky girl that was gifted it... You KNOW that as soon as I tried it on my creativity level went through the roof hehe... 

Deep in the Mysts of Eyr, an enchanted Warrior that hunts in the swamp... Searching for magic that can be harvested and taken back to her tribe. A harvester of souls perhaps?!

The Cryptozoology of Pandora's Box

Attending glitzy parties was never really her idea of fun... Ball gowns and looking pretty can be fun but she's not very good at dancing! While looking for a bathroom, the inquisitive Rudh stumbled upon a dusty library - the library of one of the oldest houses in town is something that cannot be passed by - and so she found herself in the barely illuminated room, opening a dusty tome...
The book, it turns out, is an old Cryptozoology text called "The Monsters of Pandora's Box", inside were illustrations of some weird and wonderful creatures that had Rudh transfixed, not noticing as a small box hidden in the corner of the room... Pandora's Box of Monsters was awake!!

That's right, it's time for this month's Pandora's Box to open it's dark little lid and reveal the treasures within... I warn you things are about to get a little Monstrous - the theme of this month being Monsters...
The book that Rudh is reading is actually one of the awesome Pandora's Box goodies from Candle and Cauldron this month - along with a really gorgeous map that will make an appearance here soon I feel - I'll tell you more about the box in a few minutes but want to share with you something else in this photo that's simply stunning...
I was officially allowed to become a blogger for the store Oubliette this week - it's the darker side of Petite Mort's owner that is brought to lift within Oubliette - and as soon as I saw this dress I HAD to share it with you. It's a Lucretia Gown - one of 6 different colours, shown here in Onyx - that is available at the Midsummer Enchantment Event, and well frankly, it's hard to pick just one because the colours are all so gorgeous!
Back to the Box though... CALLING ALL THE MONSTERS...
As a basic reminder, the best place to go to sign up for your box is the Pandora's Box HQ. Now that the box has been opened the cost will be 2500L, which will allow you to join the group and get your box - bear in mind though that you only have until May 30th to do so - and all those wonderful goodies will be yours. Then after the last day in May the group will be emptied and sign up begins for the following month's box - which if you join the group before the release date will be 1500L! You can get more information about this at the Pandora's Box Website!! 
For now though, take some time to read this book with me, as we turn the pages you never know what monsters may be revealed in Pandora's Box...

Hell Master's Pet

The dark and macabre side of myself is REALLY enjoying things that are going on in Second Life at the moment. There are so many shopping events that are catering for that side of me right now that I cannot help but feel that Halloween has come a little early - and I'm really not complaining about it! My Dead Doll side is positively giddy with joy at the moment. 
This time it's something a little more demonic than dead which has taken control... Anyone fancy a trip somewhere dark and rather hot? Today, this blogger is driving the bus straight to Hell! 

Jokes about Hell are a constant around the group of friends I have in SL - HellBone being my hubby and everyone referring to him as Hell, I mean - but joking aside there are many warnings with today's look about my dangerous side. 
A brand on my stomach that demands "Take me to Hell" - from AsteroidBox at The Gacha Garden - is my request but it's clear from my necklaces that Hell is where I was made - thanks to Lovely Disarray at Dark Side Fair 4, but all things considered, everything will be OK so long as I don't eat! 
While this cursed demoness wanders through the Angels & Demons Hell Location, the blood of her last meal staining her lips, she slips out of her clothing and remains locked in her lingerie - a set called Taboo by !dM deviousMind from Memento Mori - and enjoys the fiery warmth of Hell, her Master's Abode!

Walk like an Egyptian

Last night, and yes I mean Friday Night, we had a little party over at the Gators MC Sim. It was to celebrate the birthday of our Sgt@Arms - Mr Gary Burton - who thought we had forgotten, lol silly butt! One of those covert, try to keep things hidden from a guy who watches the sim like a hawk, type deals that started with me speaking to his lovely lady - Celeste - and then cursing her a bit while I tried to decorate! 
Finding the costume though, that was the best part! It's not something that I have ever really done before but you know me, I love a good excuse to find a costume!! This was no exception to that excitement... After all it's not every day you get to go back in time and be an Egyptian! 

I have to say I am pretty excited by what I came up with, and YES I did do a little happy dance when I was looking for a costume, I'll explain that in a minute. First though, when trying to find a photo location, I looked long and hard but found the most interesting place. Ancient Egypt in Terra Egypta looks very similar to the archaeological sites that you see in RL, only take it back a few thousand years and this is - I'd imagine - how it would feel... 
Now on to my Egyptian Goddess outfit and the reason for my little Happy Dance!
While I was out shopping in the week, I found this awesome headdress and hair combination from deviousMind at the latest round of We <3 RP, and at the time thought 'damn that's awesome but I'd never wear it'. Once Celeste said "Egyptian" as a party theme, I KNEW where I would be going LOL... 
I needed a dress to go with it, and although there are lots and lots of options available on the marketplace, nothing was screaming BUY ME! Then I had a change of thought and started looking for bandage style dresses - I mean come on Mummies are wrapped in Bandages, why couldn't I be LOL - and found the perfect dress from [status Inc]. Then it was just a matter of accessorising, a pretty necklace from Paper.Moon, a slick of lipstick from PSYCHO.Byts and a pet that was perfect for the Egyptians... 
Now all I needed to do, was practice my walk!!!

Rudh's Flying Circus

Sometimes the dreams I dream have an effect on the things I take photos of... Last night I had a dream about a somewhat angellic flying circus... I don't know why, I don't really even like the circus because I don't like clowns, but there I was on a trapeze! 
So this morning, here I am, on a trapeze LOL... 

The trapeze was a recent blogger item delivery from Lewd, that was perhaps on my mind as I remembered just before bed that I needed to share it hehe... These are fun toys to play on, and much like the swings I mentioned in a post before these have lots of pose options, they swing AND come in three different metal colours with white or black ropes!! Of course in a circus you need pretty and fun things too, that's where my magical CarnivalRide - from !dM deviousMind - come in... 
My outfit played a big part in creating the Rudh Flying Circus too... The bodysuit this trapeze artist Rudh wears is one from MoDANNA called Maree, and that was the only thing she did wear, with the exception of her necklace. 
The necklace is an item that I was sent to blog, and I will admit it got a little lost in the chaos that is my hoard... I am annoyed at myself for losing it for so long and it won't be happening again, BUT you can still get your hands on this pretty Pentacle Pendant from Lassitude & Ennui at We <3 RP. The event closes sometime today, but I hope that you will be able to find this pretty necklace in the mainstore in the next few days too! I also know that YES you cannot really see it in the photo above, so I was a smart Rudh... CLOSE-UP!
