The Eve before Star Wars

Tomorrow is considered a special day for some, it's one of those recently made up holidays but in our house it is fairly important... Tomorrow is May the Fourth, or to give it's full title "May the Fourth be with you"... It's Star Wars Day. There is another important day here too as it's Dodenherdenking, or Remembrance Day, which of course came first, and it's not something that we forget... But it's Star Wars Day, Hell is the biggest Star Wars fan and we couldn't pass it by... 

Since it's been a long hard few days, things have been crazy busy, it's time to head to the break room on the Death Star, which you have to get to by passing through the Cryo Chamber - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and party like the Dark Side is going out of fashion... I've often wondered what it would have been like if Leia had been kept with her father and taken to the Dark Side, I think she'd have trouble batteling the light and it would cause her to become a bit of Rebel anyway... Dying her hair, but keeping her amazing buns - like those in the wig from Ayashi - and grabbing herself one of those giant Mucho Margarita's - from Junk Food. It was so hard to choose what to drink though, the Storm Troopers make the most epic cocktails, I think my next drink will be the Chewie Cotton Candy drink... 
It's so hard to choose, but whatever happens, May the fourth be with you tomorrow...

Self Reflection in the Sinking Sands

A walk in the desert sands can lead to people seeing things that are not there... More often than not it's the mirage is related to water, but in other cases there have been stories of monsters, buildings and even glimpses into the soul... The mirrors to your soul appear every few years and allow people the chance for a little self reflection. What will the mirrors of the soul allow you to see? Will it be your future, will it be your past, or perhaps it could be your darkest secret that only the soul could know? 

I guess that today if I look into the mirrors I might see myself pushing myself into attempting to create something for the FOXCITY Photo Challenge. I know it was something that I'd considered, and I fell in love with the backdrop - available now until March 22nd at Uber - but I was so nervous about the thought of a competition. I looked into the mirrors that appeared from the sinking sands, and took a moment for some self reflection... A conversation with the scared little me, it was time for a pep-talk!

The Concoction of Potion

It's Sunday, and that means one thing... The week is about to start and I am REALLY not ready for it. I don't really want to have to be a grown up anymore, I'd like to go back to the carefree days, when I could just hide out in my bedroom as a teenager... 
Rudh has decided to do just that... Find a dark cosy corner where she can sit with a coffee, and maybe something yum, and cast one or two little spells!

As she sat in the cosy comfortable loft space she was surrounded by a collection of her pretty Witchy Witchcraft things - a set that I was super lucky to win from LEMME at the new round of Equal10. The Tarot Cards, a Crystal Ball and some trinkets to help me prep these adorable little bottles of potion for those in need. Armed with a Donut and a Cinnamon Dulce Coldbrew Coffee - from Reign - and a smoke to get her started, she sits still, calm... That is until the little Moonlight Foxes discovered her hiding place and all hell broke loose! Still, if I can get them calm down a little, I have the "Forgotten Skull" - a Happy Weekend release from FIKA by the way - that I need to for a 'forget your ex' potion... All I need is time to make it up...

Let's Play Together

I went back to work a little this week... Three, five hour, days later and I'm feeling worn out. It's going to be strange heading back to work in the shop again, having to build up all of my strength and get back into the rhythm of it after 3 months off! 
This means that I've been away from SL for a little and so while I was stuck in another place, I had to put Rudh to work... She's started working as a Web Cam Girl... Hiding her favourite toys out of camera view as she plays with her other favourite toys... 

As soon as she gets the call on her laptop, she stashes her favourite toys out of the way... Behind the screen where they can't be seen sits her adorable Deer Plushie - from Cosmic Dust - and her even more adorable video game stuff - available in various sets from Star Sugar - which she suddenly hoped she'd turned the sound off on while she's on the call... 
It's all about what goes on in front of the camera from this point on... Today it's a day for looking cute... She's wearing white to appear "innocent" - although this Abril Lingerie from Tentacio screams anything but innocent, especially when you see the amazing pile of her other favourite toys... The kind that will be used when she says "Let's Play Together, in our dreams"....

Pink Takes Over

Ever have those days where you feel like being something TOTALLY different from your version of normal?! I mean, OK, normal is a fairly speculative thing anyway, my normal may be abnormal for someone else, but I'm talking on a personal level... Have you ever woken up and thought, I want to be something totally different today? 
Today I'm having one of those days... Today, as much as I love my living dead doll self, I want to be a little more bubbly pink and rainbow cute... Well... Maybe not too cute, maybe Rudh style cute? A leopard can't change it's spots too much!!

NEVER normally would I be seen dead rocking this much pink... Pink does occasionally get a look in - as opposed to purple which BLEH frankly - but sometimes it just seems to all come together without me realizing it until it's too late LOL... I tell everyone pink is evil, it's just proved my point! 
It's all the fault of some of my newest toys... I won some awesome goodies from the LEMME Gacha collection at Equal10  called Bad Girls Decor. The shelves were something out of a dream for my home decor, but I couldn't help but have a determined need to win the Satanic Pizza too! Lemme is a fairly new store for me, but when I went over to properly check it out, I wasn't able to get my money out fast enough I wanted everything and all of it LOL... 
After that though the pink decor just seemed to flood the place, and I guess it wasn't really helped all that much by the amazingly cute Over the Rainbow Skybox - from NeverWish - I was hiding in at the time!

Yes... I am a Crazy Cat Lady!

I LOVE Lazy Sundays, the only thing wrong with them is that it means tomorrow is Monday and the start of another working week! Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn... 
I'm spending the day relaxing and reading a book, and playing with my RL Furbabies... This left Rudh to her own devices too, but then she like me has similar hobbies and spent most of the day pampering her fur babies! Though when she does it, she looks glamorous, a little like a Lady of the Manor! 

The lady of the manor look was actually all started because of the most amazing kitty themed pose prop in the universe... A mainstore Gacha release from Image Essentials called "Crazy Cat Lady" - with this pose and sofa props being the Ultra Rare! - the store's designer, Kay Weston, gives us a glance into the minds of our local Crazy Cat Lady's. We all know one, in fact when I grow up it's what I'm aspiring to be!! If HellBone will let me of course! 
SO anyway, recently I shared a post about the Queen's in my life... Momma Lou and Momma Phe. Momma Phe is the one that inspires me to fully appreciate my inner crazy cat lady! When I grow up I wanna be a Crazy Cat Lady Queen just like my Kitty Momma!!!

When Exhaustion makes you Cry...

It has been a busy few days for me, I've been working my little butt off in the cheese shop and now I'm more than a little exhausted. Thank heavens for the weekend I hear you say, but even then I'm being kept busy-ish with my SL job so there's no rest for the wicked. It's making me cranky, and causing a lot of stress, and that in turn is making me want to do nothing but hide from the world and cry a little... That's just what I intend to do today... 

Snuggled up in my favourite pair of silly old pyjamas - or in Rudh's case a Sakura Kigurumi Onesie in a Frankenstein design - she's going to hide away from the world and snuggle up with her cats. Shed a few tears - thanks to this rather awesome collection of "Not so Hot" poses from Image Essentials for eBento - and try to feel a little bit better... 
Now if you don't mind, I'm going to wish upon a star and hope that I get some peaceful, restful sleep...

Waiting for things to Develop...

I have a passion for taking pictures, no matter whether it's in RL or in SL, I love taking pictures of all kinds of different things. Most of my SL photography tends to be of Rudh - I'll admit that but I do love the chance to take pictures of others too. In RL I'm constantly taking pictures with my phone capturing shots of all sorts of different things. 

I've always fancied getting an old school polaroid Camera just for capturing fun, weird photos as instant memories! So the Thrift Cameras from Junk Food really caught my attention... I couldn't resist playing with them, though I get the feeling that I'm going to find it hard to wait for them to develop lol... 
While I wait for things to develop though, let me just say "Isn't my outfit super cute?!" Making Lists and Wrapping Gifts

I am trying to avoid things being too Christmassy in SL and in RL just yet, I know that soon I will be decorating both my RL and SL houses, and that this weekend the Gators MC have our Winter Christmas formal ball, but for now I'm trying to do other Christmas things without being surrounded by festive decorations! 
I love Christmas I really do, but I really don't enjoy writing Christmas Cards and wrapping presents. For me it's just something that I need to get done - which is weird considering I love sending and receiving postcards! Wrapping tends to be something I do crawling around on the floor in my jammies! Though once again, even doing that, Rudh looks glamorous... 

Wrapping all the presents for my family, checking my list in my notebook - I made a list, I checked it twice LOL - and trying hard not to steal one of the delicious Dust Bunny Cookies! Though, the cookies that she bought for her Daddy from Lost Junction, in the adorable Holiday Cookie Jars, he won't notice that they are empty cookie jars right?! He can use them for other things, like ummm Nails or something?! The edible items, the cookie jars and the wrapping stuff are all items that are available at the current round of The Epiphany, they make such awesome gifts since they are both pretty and transferable!!
I think her glam look is mostly due to her adorable PJS, they are a gacha release at The Imaginarium from Petite Mort. The set includes varying patterns of Novelty Camis, varying colours of Satin Boxers and a Rare Satin Nighty too! I know that this pale colour isn't for everyone's taste - it's not normally mine, but I couldn't resist this time - yet there are darker shades too so there's really something for everyone... Such a pretty Christmas Gift they make!!

Night Night, Sleep Tight

It's almost bed time but my goodness Holland is FAR TOO HOT at the moment and I'm kinda dreading the idea... Sleeping when it's too hot has always been a problem and when HellBone is in the bed next to me, it's even worse. So tonight I'm going to try my hardest to sleep... 
Sleep Story though, once I was babysitting my sister, and she always took our cat to bed with her. I went in to check on her late one night and the cat had the WHOLE BED while my sister was pinned against the wall with a leg UP it... I had to get outta her room fast because I was laughing so hard, I wish I'd had a good phone camera then... 

She's trying to sleep and the cat has taken over most of the bed and so she's stuck pressed against the edge of it...Her hair in curlers - to get those luscious locks all wavy like... Some cute Panties and a tank top as her jammies - thanks to epoch -  and just a little bit of drool because not all of us look beautiful when having our beauty sleep! 
I have to say though I LOVE her sleep mask, and you REALLY need to be quick to get your hands on one too... These are the Nighttime Masks from Zombie Suicide, which are available at Blush until TOMORROW! They come in three diffferent designs with colour variants of each style... SO ADORABLE!!!!

Let the Money Rain!

Ever have those nightmare like dreams, when you're half asleep and suddenly your brain seems to kick into gear and start thinking about all your problems... Money troubles, or health issues, or even stupid things like what you're doing in a few weeks... I have dreams like this all the time, and last night was a doozey... Just dropping off to sleep and BOOM I start thinking about money... 
So today I'm channelling my inner worries about money into a blog picture, as it usually helps to clear the air!! I hope... 

Rudh in Second Life is a bit less prone to worrying like I am. She's definitely my more confident side...

I've had one of those drastically busy mornings at the Cheese Store today, and now I am feeling more than a little worn out... I could do with a nap that lasts until tomorrow, but I have other things that need doing so I have to try to keep myself awake! 
Rudh on the other hand has found herself a quiet little corner to curl up somewhere soft and snuggly for a mid-afternoon nap!

VIG Status... Very Important Groupie!

Its fairly early... Well let's face it, it's VERY early for me this morning, but I'm awake after a rough night's sleep. I was kept awake due to nerves and thought's of what if... Today I have a trial day for a possible new job in RL, and I'm a ball of nervous excitement even though it's not even 8AM! 
I felt I had a need, I need to channel my inner Rudh, and let her be the confidence that I feel I lack in RL. It's so easy in SL to be a confident little brat, knowing and getting exactly what she wants, but somehow that's always harder to drag into the RL me... 
Rudh is the kind of girl that would be able to be a groupie and sneak backstage... Emily is the kind of girl that would dream of doing so but never find the bravery to do it... Rudh needs to be the one in charge today... 

I realise that makes me sound like I have a bit of a problem, but doesn't everyone feel more confident in their overly made up set of pixels... HECK if I looked a little more like Rudh in RL I may be more able to exude confidence from every pore too... 
At the Backstage of the Concert Hall - a Birdy Backdrop - in Backdrop City, Rudh has decided to sneak in to see her favourite band in the VIP area... Or should that be VIG Area... An area for Very Important Groupies?! 
She's dressed for success, and already got past the burly security guards, but her Birdy Backstage couture will I'm sure impress the band too... I wonder who it is?! 
More to the point if I could only exude just a TINY amount of her confidence then today will not be so bad... I hope!?! Wish me luck!!!

Sins Released... She's Lusting...

Working through my Sins, and getting to play today with my favouritest of them all... Today I'm using the Image Essentials pose to play at being demonic Lust... 
There are so many different ways that lust can be portrayed, be it pretty romantic desire to carnal almost violent passion... and I'm a lover of both!!! Although you might not notice if you see how much of my kinky side comes to the surface... 

I loved playing around with Lust but it's a look that seems to be a sin I play with a lot... So this picture is nothing out of the ordinary for me! It's something that is allowing me to showcase the new collection of teddybears that my Gator boys bought for me. There's the one in the cage - that's Chopper - there's the one in the corner - that's Max - and the collection of bears - is HellBone, since he's everywhere in my SL and RL too ...

Watching the Waves

Bit of a sad post for me today, as I have to report the closing of one of my favourite pose making stores. I'm trying not to be too sad, since I've been with this store since it's start, but a girl can't really help feeling sad when something she loves disappears.
Though to go with the sad I needed to do something a little happy feeling, and today I'm thinking back to my childhood... I was born in the late 80's, and so my childhood was spent through the 90's. Rewind this month, is taking us back to Y2K, with fashions and things that I remember really well... A little Britney - not that she was my choice but my younger sister LOVED her - a little DUH and a lot of OHMYGAHTHEMILLENNIUMBUGISCOMING!!! All of that aside though, one of my favourite things when I was a kid, was running around the beach, playing in the surf and having a really good time doing it - now days I'm way too scared of the fact it's BLOODY FREEZING! There was one thing I never went without, and now Ama made some exactly like I had!!! 

First the good stuff then the sad I think... 
I mentioned before about Ama having made some exactly like I had... I'm talking about the Jelly Shoes - or as they call them the Millennium Platforms - which they have released for Y2K Rewind. I used to love these shoes as a kid on the beach, I had them in loads of colours, though my favourites were always the glittery ones! I knew I had to go play on The Beach in them! 
Now the Sad... Signature Pose has now closed it's doors in world... 
This has been one of my favourite, go-to stores when I needed poses. OK so I'm a little biased, since I've been visiting the store I have been lucky enough to become good friends with the stores owner - Amanda Randall - but even without that it seems so sad to see a store I love close... Poses are still available via the Marketplace, and there may be releases in the future too, but for now it's time for a break.

Spin the Bottle

I have a LOT of people that I feel lucky enough to call friends in my SL, but those that I am closest to I can count on my fingers. Recently, as in just before Christmas, I may have mentioned something about it back then, that the number of people shrunk dramatically. Some of it was friendly, people moving on to new things, while others were causes of great pain. So much drama for one little group as members of the Gators MC left all over the place... 
Yet from the ashes of what was left over a core group remains - Lilian, Max, Solde, HellBone, Chopper and myself - and although there are still others too, these little Gators are the ones that I keep fighting to keep the MC together for. 

Some nights with the MC can be hectic as all heck, we're a bunch of crazy silly idiots sometimes... Though I know I can count on these people. We've been through bad times, but we've come out of it together and we're stronger for it! 
We spend a lot of our SL days together, hanging out and doing random things. Sometimes we have a ride-out to behave on, but other times when we're at home we're being random... 
Yesterday was games night, we somehow ended up ordering Chinese take-out from Lost Junction and playing an impromptu game of Spin the Bottle - thanks to a new pose from Image Essentials at Truth or Dare Affair! Oh lord, did the boys cheer when I had to make out with Solde LOL...

Early on Winter Mornings

Maybe it's just me, but one of the hardest things I find about these cold Winter months is waking up in the morning. I LOVE when it's colder, I'm not a fan of being too hot, but when it's dark in the early morning and I have to get out of bed, the hardest part of everything seems to be waking up. When you open your eyes and realise that it's actually darker with them open than closed. No wonder people get so into the Christmas spirit, as a little warm Christmas light always makes the dark days feel brighter! 
Yet we carry on, waking up slowly, and making a mad dash through the cold house to switch the heating on before diving back under the duvet with a cup of coffee... At least that's what I do most mornings!

In SL you never feel the temperature, and Rudh has been known to head out in shorts even into the snow, but for some reason, even poor little Rudh finds it so hard to wake up in the Winter mornings... Or maybe that's just because her driver is so sleepy!

Getting out of her warm tub bed, leaving the cat to sleep a little longer, she stretches and makes the mad dash to her kitchen in search of coffee LOL... 
Luckily for you though, she looks MUCH more adorable in her Reign Onesie Pjs than I do in RL, not a hair out of place and her face not looking at all tired...

Picnics with Cuties

Today I'm going to my happy place, a place where no one will bug me and people can leave me a message at the gate because well I'm kinda done bending over backwards to help people out when they so easily throw you under the bus... End of rant, but that's why today I'm going candy coloured, surrounded by adorably cute fluffy things!!! 
I know that Autumn is upon us, but I love the fact that in SL no matter what the temperature is outside you can be pretending it's a totally different season... Today for me it's Spring, and I'm going on a picnic!!

I'm not going alone on this picnic, that might make me a little sad... I'm taking some of my adorable new friends with me...
The other day I let some of my Half-Deer Bunnies join me in a picture and today I'm doing the same, they are coming on my picnic. These are SUCH a cute collection, too adorable, and as soon as I saw the little broccoli bunny I needed him, the rest were just added bonuses hehe...
