Gifts of the Gods

It's been a while since I did something that lt my fantasy side out to play and for some reason I found myself veering towards the magical, dream-like and fanstastical... I had no idea where I would go, but my mind lead me to something a little God-like... Not any modern god either, this one was a little historical magic... 

I think that today though, the magic did have some kind of base in reality... My feet are hurting after a long day of work and well... I kinda wished for magical gifts of shoes from the gods... Little did I know that it was the Egyptian gods that were listening and that they'd grant me the magic of their people to walk on... 
I'll be walking like an Egyptian in no time...

A Mermaid's Garden

I went out on our annual work team outing last night and I'm a little tired today, but it was funny... The one thing I found myself coming up with one idea, and one idea only that wouldn't budge was something a little fishy... We had Sushi for dinner, so I had to get my Mermaid on, although this time, I went a little more monstermer than I ever have before... 

A monstermer deserves a little time in the limelight too, they aren't al Ariel wannabes down there under the sea, but that doesn't make them any less gorgeous...

The Genie is OUT!

It's Halloween Season... That means there is likely to be a lot of horror, a great big helping of blood, and definitely a great deal of dressing up... I may not make it horrifically deadly all month but you know me, I LOVE being able to play dress up...
Last post was a Pirate, today we're as far away from the sea as can be although the fairytale magic still prevails, but our adventures have taken us to the Sinking Sands of the Desert to another Arabian Night...

Within the mirrors that hold the magic of the sands you may stumble across the Genie's lost lamp... Though if you do find it in the sand, becareful what you wish for... Wishes are made to be broken, wishes are made to be corrupted, and the genies of the lamp are known to be tricky so that they can twist your desires to suit their own wicked deeds...

I am still not doing very well, but I am trying to force myself to just carry on and keep going because I have no real choice right now... I'm trying to make myself feel better with a drift into something a little fantastical. My brain is full of fluff, so fantasy seems to be a easy place to drift off to...

The Diva in the Stars

The Engine Room has opened it's doors for a Spring visit, the sparkles of all new wonderful things come rushing out so that they light up the sky and provide a guiding light for the visitors seeking steampunk treasures to decorate their homes and bodies...

Chains of Hell

I'm hiding in the darkness still, today has been a bit of a nightmare due to a bed situation and I'm NOT happy that I won't be getting to curl up in my brand new fancy bed... I'm not happy, I'm trying to keep my cool, and not drag people down to Hell for being both useless and patronising. I was so close to dragging them down to Hell and letting the demons have some fun... 

You can tell that I'm in a more than feisty mood, I'm feeling angry and want to punish someone for letting me down and disappointing me...

Escaping Through Fire...

 I've had two days at work this week, and it's been pretty shit. I love my job, but it's terrible when we are quiet at work it seems to make the day stretch out so it feels four times as long.... I'm also in charge at the moment since my boss has gone away for a few days. No-one had better mess things up this week... 
For tonight though I am going to escape, and maybe I'll blow things up and burn them to the ground... Or maybe I'll let Rudh do it, and perhaps in a more drama involved... 

Rudh never does things by halves, she's going to walk away from this and leave the place burning as she goes... The shots from her own gun, and those from her WarDog pets - a SHARD release for Midnight Order -  ricocheting from the metal walls of the station, as the monstrous-looking twisted beings try to stop their escape...

Halloween has started, the Funhouse is Open!

YAY it's FINALLY October 1st and YAY I don't think it could have come at any better of a time... Today opens this year's Dark Adventure, although I'll share more about that another time, and there are so many awesome things happening this month... PLUS it's the start of my month of Halloween costumes... I cannot wait, it's the MOST wonderful time of the year!!! 
The monsters are bursting through the doors of Second Life's twisted fun house... The monstrous circus is in town, and there will be so much fun as they haunt their way through Second Life... I cannot wait to see what characters come through those doors... 

The Funhouse - an amazing building by What's Lost Spirits at the current round of the Engine Room - is where all of the nasty crazies that are lurking around me have been hiding are escaping from this year... You never know what craziness can come out of a fun house, just like you never know what can come out of me... First out, someone to check the coast is clear, under the guise of being one of the circus crowd, she's a dancer, a little magical but almost unreal... She's got robotic wings - from RSStore - and her clockwork dress showing signs of her clockwork nature... She wears her doll key on a choker around her neck - part of a set from torment, also at Engine Room - that will not only assist her in energizing herself but will also wind up the galloping gear horses on her dress - the Gears Gallop Dress is amazing in so many colours from moon amore, again at the Engine Room - so she's able to corral the Carousel Courier ponies...

The Sparkle of Angelic Demons

Weekends should feel like magic... Instead today has been nothing but arguements at my house in RL. I'm left feeling even more exhausted. I love my hubby but sometimes he's just too much and I want nothing more than to run away back to my true home in the UK...
At times like this I find myself reverting back into my own fantasy world and letting the pretty, sparkly, magical wonderfulness take over to hide my real feelings... It's a good indicator for me, if I'm feeling low things will be magical, if I'm happy and feeling full of energy, pictures will be darker and more dead looking... 

This time I'm magical, I'm ethereal and I'm trying to let my bad feelings flicker to the darker, back parts of my mind... This ethereal being part angel, part demon is someone that has been seen making use of the magical libraries within the Engine Room...

The Draconic Empire

It won't be long now until the Engine Room closes it's doors for the end of the month long opening... The Engines are beginning to slow, and there are monsters, darklings and the steampunk beings shuffling back into the room before the doors close... 
Outside the room, the balcony oozes Southern Charm - available now at Synnergy.Tavis - and it is here on the balcony that we find our Draconian Empress calling in her pets... 

The Draconian Empress - dressed in the most gorgeous of dress of blue silk from Decoy that is available at the Engine Room until it closes on April 20th - stands on the balcony gently whistling into the wind.. Her baby dragon sits on her shoulder but it is the bigger dragons that need to come in from further away, the dragons fly in to disappear with their mistress... Breathing their 'Fantastical Nebulous Aether' - from Cole's Corner - in her face as a greeting of love...

The Witch Doctor and Her Pets

I needed to get away from the Valentines prettiness, I needed to do something a little different. I wanted to let my mind slip away into a fantasy place, I needed to let my mind wander into an Enchantment that's far away from the Valentines magic... I'm on an adventure into the jungle to find myself a Witch Doctor... 

There's a Fantasy Oasis - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - in the middle of the jungle, where the leopards congregate around their mistress... The malevolent looking Witch Doctor - an outfit from !dM deviousMinds at Enchantment this month - who can summon the wild cats spirits and guide them as her minions in times of need... It's a beautiful realtionship, in a serene place, but when approaching use care. There is malice and danger within the forest glade...

A Goddess of Tempestuous Waters

It's ABSOLUTELY pouring here, and everything has cooled down so much because of the rain. 
Though there is magic in the world and there should be something magical about the water, it's life bringing, it's healing, and it's one of the most important things in the world. Sometimes I wonder if we don't treasure it enough... There are others that feel we are not... There is an Engine Room member that has been watching our useage of the water we abuse, and she is not amused, the Goddess of Water is more than a little frustrated... 

Her anger has made the waters a little tempestuous - like the background from Synnergy.Tavis - and the darker side of her style came out with a vengence, boiling and splashing the water around her... Since she's a goddess with connections to the Engine Room, she's a little more steampunk than some of her counterparts. Her skin is etched with METROPOLIS markings - from Fallen Gods Inc - and she's wrapped in an Allusa Corset - from ASH - while her Vanity Hair is adorned with the Evil Baby, Athalia's Crown. The magic slipping from her fingertips, controlling her Chronomancer's Astrolabe - from Quills & Curiosities at the Engine Room - to control the movements of the water around her...

Roaming the Cathedrals Halls...

Last night I got very lost in the brilliant blues and pinks of the shooting stars, and as Jupiter once said it was lonely while I was looking for myself out there... It was far too pretty, not to let myself get lost in the stars... Only problem is that I got myself lost so much I ended up in a dark corridor, the only light radiating from the sparkles of my fingertips, magic that I'd picked up while dancing amongst the stars...

Catching a glimpse of myself in a reflective surface I noticed that the stars had adorned me with the most beautiful of Cathedral Halos - a gorgeous release from Quills & Curiosities at Midnight Order - and as if by magic, I noticed that the most beautiful pair of Static Order Gauntlets had been laid out to protect my hands from the sparkling of the stars... 
Luckily I had a change of clothes too, the ones I wore the night before were covered in stardust... This PVC Decoy Dress - it's actually the Midnight Order release called Fiona - isn't truly meant to go with this awesome minuit Shirt but it made the perfect outfit for the little demonness in me to feel brave enough to explore the dark halls, lit only by the neon of my sparkling fingertips... 
Since I love this look so much, and since a lot of prettiness is happening on my face I had to take a moment to show a little close up... Get a look at the pretty horns, make-up and face jewellery... Isn't it cute!!!!
