Pandora's Box is due to close tomorrow, that means I have one more day to share with you some of the lovelies that are contained within the box... This box, was one that I thought would give me troubles but actually I've managed to enjoy EVERYTHING that it contains. My last Pandora's Box post for this month is perhaps a little more depraved than the previous posts... I've gone back to my roots of the depraved and macabre on this one hehe...
One of the most noticeable things from this post - aside from a final reappearance of the BellePoses photo prop - is this Cyber Suit and collection of Infusion Needs from Nightmare - available in the Pandora's Box - with both sets of things coming in various cyber punk style bright colours. As much as I love the bright colours of the bodysuit, it's the Infusion set that gets me excited and I can guarantee this will come out again soon, maybe for Halloween - dun dun dunnnnnnn lol... While on the subject of Nightmare, although not for Pandora's Box, I think I injected myself too much with the Infusion, it's started pouring from my eye and lips... No wonder my eyes reacted like they did, taking on a Cybernetic Eye - from QE Designs in this month's Pandora's Box - type quality. The eye leaking even destroyed my carefully applied Dark Passions Cyber Goth Eye Make-up.

So Cyber Punk is reigning supreme at the moment, it's in the forefront of my mind and I seem to be having some trouble with the style as a whole. The thing is Pandora's Box is Cyber Punk themed, and as with the Dark Japan theme it's not something that I am totally used to... I WILL say however that although I'm not entirely sticking to the Cyber Punk idea, I'm finding it great fun to take the pieces trapped within the box and make them suit my style - which for me is what blogging is all about, showcasing things that can be used in a variety of different styles to what they are perhaps meant to be?! Showing off something that isn't totally the norm?!
Today's post came from an idea that started with Pandora's Box and hit a Lost Junction, before finding a Fapple and becoming NO BOYS ALLOWED, GAME OVER lol... The perfect break-up style!!!
SO, where to start, let's start with the Pandora's Box item... This awesome Cyber Girl pair of goggles - or is that a mask, I'm not sure - is a virtual reality helmet that is both cute and cyber... It was stashed into the Pandora's Box for August by Yokai, and it's AWESOME... Something I knew I'd be playing with LOL... The Game Over reference really worked well with my anti-boys feeling today, I don't know why I have this feeling but it's there... SO I'm going to have a little party LOL...
Sat in the Photobox that is BellePoses Angelfire location - I mentioned before that this is a Pandora's Box release right?! - I put a monster movie on my new TV and grabbed some delicious looking snacks - thanks to Lost Junction's TV Night Gacha Set coming to this month's Arcade - and grabbed a gift I've been dying to play with... The Fapple Ken Doll... He comes in two parts, a boxed version for display and a hand held (leash holder) version!!!

It's the time of the month and I'm even a little late with it, but Pandora's Box has officially opened for the month of August and this time it's all about the Cyber Punk style. Once again with the box theme it's something that I've not really touched on all that much, but I have to say I am finding this MUCH easier than last month's Japanese theme!! Cyber Punk is industrial in style, and there are many robotic, colourful parts hidden within the box...
Let's take a look at some of them... There will be much more to come but for now...
This photo has been taken using a prop, pose and backdrop from one of the Pandora's Box creators, and I guarantee that I may be using more of these during any upcoming Pandora's Box pictures. It's a set called Angelfire by BellePoses, and it includes a background, 5 poses with mirrors and a super dangerous looking gun for each pose!!
Everything aside from my top, skin and hair can also be found stashed into this month's box too... The fierce looking hair accessory is an iApache Headdress from 1313 Mockingbird Lane, I wore it with some Cyber Punk Eyes from ChopShop, and an awesome cyber style tattoo called Ghost from Endless Pain Tattoos can all be found within the box, but what made it look even more fierce is this Exploit Mask from Zombie Suicide that perfectly screams Cyber Punk!!

Pandoras Box is on going, I've heard this week that some of the other loot boxes may be coming to a close, but never fear Pandora's Box is here and staying... It's even time to talk about the theme for this month, exciting right?!
This month Pandora's Box is all about Cyber Punk... Now I feel a little more on comfortable ground with this month, after last month's Japanese theme, and I admit that I'm pretty excited!!
Such an awesome list of designers once again, and it appears that there are a few new stores in the mix... Nightmare is amongst them, and you may have realised by now that I LOVE Nightmare stuff, so more than a little excited, I cannot wait till the 22nd!!!
For those of you that don't know about Cyber Punk, basically it's categorized as a sub-genre of Sci-Fi, or so I'm told, with a focus on high-tech often with a post-apocalyptic flair. Respirators and goggles are things of normality, and it's usually fairly industrial in style... I CANNOT WAIT!!!!
So how does Pandora's Box work? To get your hands on a Pandora's Box loot box, you pay a set amount of money - in the case of the Pandora's Box the initial amount is 1500L - to a Kiosk and will be added to the list that will receive a box. Then on the 22nd of the month, if you've paid the kiosk in time, you will be sent your very own Pandora's Box filled with goodies from 10 different designers - that you can see listed in the picture above - and that's where the chance comes into play, because there's a chance you won't like things inside, but there's also a chance that you will LOVE everything in the box... Risk is, you won't know what you're getting till you get the box!!!!! Isn't it exciting?!
HOWEVER, if you decide you want to wait until things start being shown off by bloggers and designers alike, then you're able to do so... After the box is released on the 22nd of the month, the group will remain open - although the cost to join will increase to 2500L - and you will be able to get all the goodies inside! If this is your plan though you will need to hurry! On the 30th of each month, the group will be cleared and the whole process will start again for the coming month!!

Pandora's Box is soon to close... Today is the last chance to get your hands on all of the awesome goodies before it closes, and Dark Japan has been awesome to us this month. I've learnt so much and have some wonderful goodies from the boxes talented designers but there's just time for one more post and a little lesson about somewhere in Japan that I feel fits the box perfectly... It's a place called Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. There is a beautiful tribute to this sad place in Second Life that was perfect for allowing a little Pandora's Box monster to be free just a little while...
Known as "the perfect place to die" the Aokigahara Forest in Japan is one of the world's most 'popular' - although the word sounds terrible in this case - places to commit suicide.
Legend has it that ancient families would sacrifice members of the family by leaving them to die in the forest, deaths would have been long, horrible and drawn out due to starvation, creating the stories of hauntings amongst the trees. Yet this does not deter those in despair, annually around 70 corpses are found by the volunteers that clear the woods, and records of just how many wander in but never come out are no longer published so that there is no popularisation of the location.

Now I know I said this before, and I have no trouble saying it again, that I was and maybe still am, a little concerned about how I will handle this month. I know very little about the Japanese culture, and feel a bit like I might make a mess of things, but once the box was opened I was pleasantly surprised... There were lots of lovely things that I will be able to use and enjoy, to bring new and interesting characters to life...
So let's take a step into the world of Dark Japan, welcome to the July Pandora's Box...

Pandora's Box has closed for June and all the Monsters are returning to their dark and sleepy times, there's just one more little monster waiting by the door to wish you a fond farewell and whisper "Until the box opens again"... We don't have to wait long now for a new box, it will reopen on July 22nd, but that means it's now time to wave bye bye to our last little monster and run to subscribe for the new mysteries of Pandora's Box...
This last little monster is going to sleep in her Vampire House - from Yokai for the June Pandora's Box - it's time for her to groom her Octopussy Whiskers - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - and rest her eyes... All of them, including the ones on top of her head - from SuicideGurls - and all of those on her Eyeholic bodice - from Moon Amore, but not Pandora's Box hehe.

What do monsters eat I wonder? I guess it depends on the Monster... I was wandering around in the woods of Ironwood Hills and I caught one of the Monsters of Pandora's Box enjoying a little snackette... Fairies!!!!!
Her sun gold hair that's braided and wrapped around her large dark antlers - thanks to the Aysdora add-on from FABIA - and her pretty floral adornments - from LODE and Ama - give the impression that this is a sweet gentle forest spirit. Yet the way that she's biting into that Fairy, not to mention the almost snake-like eyes - which come with the Make-Up from Vengeful Threads in this month's Pandora's Box - give a totally different perception upon closer inspection.

Attending glitzy parties was never really her idea of fun... Ball gowns and looking pretty can be fun but she's not very good at dancing! While looking for a bathroom, the inquisitive Rudh stumbled upon a dusty library - the library of one of the oldest houses in town is something that cannot be passed by - and so she found herself in the barely illuminated room, opening a dusty tome...
The book, it turns out, is an old Cryptozoology text called "The Monsters of Pandora's Box", inside were illustrations of some weird and wonderful creatures that had Rudh transfixed, not noticing as a small box hidden in the corner of the room... Pandora's Box of Monsters was awake!!
That's right, it's time for this month's Pandora's Box to open it's dark little lid and reveal the treasures within... I warn you things are about to get a little Monstrous - the theme of this month being Monsters...
The book that Rudh is reading is actually one of the awesome Pandora's Box goodies from Candle and Cauldron this month - along with a really gorgeous map that will make an appearance here soon I feel - I'll tell you more about the box in a few minutes but want to share with you something else in this photo that's simply stunning...
I was officially allowed to become a blogger for the store Oubliette this week - it's the darker side of Petite Mort's owner that is brought to lift within Oubliette - and as soon as I saw this dress I HAD to share it with you. It's a Lucretia Gown - one of 6 different colours, shown here in Onyx - that is available at the Midsummer Enchantment Event, and well frankly, it's hard to pick just one because the colours are all so gorgeous!

It's first opening seems to have been a brilliant success and it's unleashed some weird and wonderful things - not all of which I've been able to share I will admit, but wouldn't that be spoiling all of the surprises?! - but for now it will once again remain dormant... Sleeping until it's opened once again on June 22nd.
Let's raise a toast to a successful first opening shall we? A toast and congratulations to all of those people involved... It's been wonderful to witness such a grand opening of a dark and interesting little box...
Of course, as it's Pandora's Box and things are meant for the alternative, there is no Champagne in this toast, only Absinthe - provided by AsteroidBox - is a drink that's good enough for the evil Pandora! This decanter looks so perfect placed on The Beauty Within table - available from peaches at Whimsical - that this outer beauty couldn't resist raising a toast herself.

Here you will be linked to a marketplace listing and will be able to purchase any box that you miss for 2500L...
Now all we have to do is wait for Subscriptions to re-open for next month and then have the terribly slow feeling of waiting for our boxes to open... I don't know about you, but I'm excited already!!! Pandora's Box has been open for a few days now and the Monsters within are still crawling into the light... There are so many pretty things within this month's brand new alternative lifestyle themed Loot Box, that it's simply chaos as they all try to reach for the light at the same time!
This monster made it out without trouble though, she's a demoness, a queen of sorts, and one that seems to be trapped in some kind of agony... Crying draconic tears of pure gold...
Taken in one of the dark cave sets at WHOLE WHEAT, this is a photo of that rarely seen draconian demoness...
On her head she wears the Yokai Immortality Headdress and horns, to show off her rank as a queen, a thought that is made clearer by the large black diamond that is worn within her PEACHES Myrsella Choker - both of which are available in May's Pandora's Box by the way.
It is, though, her golden RobotEyes - from Nightmare at Genre - that are shedding the CURELESS Dragon tears, which make you feel the pain and loneliness that she's feeling...
It's a little hard to see, so I was able to catch a close-up, but while you're that close please give her a hug... She needs it!!! Two days ago, the first ever Pandora's Box - Second Life's Loot Box that caters to the dark and alternative side of life - was released and has now opened. It's filled with some wonderful things, from some of Second Life's awesome gothic inspired designers and I cannot wait to share the wonderful things with you...
Let's start by revealing just a little of the magic within... A few of Pandora's little May gifties...
For some reason I was drawn to a magick shoppe on Arranmore by the gifts but as soon as I lit my first candle - one of a pose set for Pandora's Box by BellePoses by the way - I couldn't help but be overcome by excitement... Pandora's Box is AWESOME!
My first look into the box allowed me to create this cute outfit... A pretty dress from Barely Legal Couture called Perspicuity. The dress is black with a very subtle lace detail, but you also get a semi-sheer version too!! Then because Rudh is a bit of a diva, she accessorised with some of the Dark Days Sunglasses that 1313 Mockingbird Lane put into Pandora's Box, and a Zombie Suicide Beauty Head Chain too...

Can you hear that?? The wind is whistling through the keyhole of a brand new Loot Box that is coming to Second Life this month... There isn't long left now and very soon Pandora's Box will open to reveal it's deep, dark and most treasured secrets.
Locked inside this gothic little loot box, those of us with a darker side will find treasures abound, from some very cool designers with a penchant for the more alternative side of Second Life.
Today, I'm not planning on sharing the pretties that are the hidden contents, instead I'm going to give you the details so that you too can be the bearer of your very own key to Pandora's Box...
Let me start at the very beginning - because as Julie Andrews once said "it's a very good place to start"... For those of you that have no idea what a loot box is - where have you been hiding for the last 6 months or so - this seems to be a new craze that's gripped many members of Second Life, and like the Gacha craze there is a small element of chance with each and every box...
Basically, you pay a set amount of money - in the case of the Pandora's Box the initial amount is 1500L - and are able to join a group, which you need to remain a member of until the box is released on the 22nd of each month. Then on the 22nd of the month, if you're in the group, you will be sent your very own Pandora's Box filled with goodies from 10 different designers - that you can see listed in the picture above - and that's where the chance comes into play, because there's a chance you won't like things inside, but there's also a chance that you will LOVE everything in the box... Risk is, you won't know what you're getting till you get the box!!!!! Isn't it exciting?!
HOWEVER, if you decide you want to wait until things start being shown off by bloggers and designers alike, then you're able to do so... After the box is released on the 22nd of the month, the group will remain open - although the cost to join will increase to 2500L - and you will be able to get all the goodies inside! If this is your plan though you will need to hurry! On the 30th of each month, the group will be cleared and the whole process will start again for the coming month!!
