It's HOT today... So hot it feels sweltering and stifling and oppressive almost... Ideally, I'd like to be sitting somewhere cool, in the shade and the breeze with a cold drink in my hand but unfortunately no such luck. I have to work, and that's all there is to it, so I'm stuck behind my PC - yes I'm working here in my underwear LOL - and I feel stuck...
Going to share with you an image I took of Rudh, in a similar predicament. It was something that I was working on while I felt artistic one day, and I'm not sure what people will think, but I personally love it!!!
Trapped somewhere strange and foreboding, poor little Rudh is being held hostage by some weird cyborg like creatures... All she can do is cower behind the glass of the cage that they put her in, and hope that she can withstand the heat!
I'm not responsible for the set of this photo, the setting is one of the awesome photo locations at WHOLE WHEAT and yes I am a little bit addicted to using their sets, but that's because they are so very well put together, and are free for everyone to use!
Her warrior like outfit is made up of a collection of different mismatched things, including something from the SOON TO CLOSE round of Memento Mori - in fact it may have even just closed as I write this - which is this awesome Strappy Mess - from le fil casse - that wraps around your body to cover all the naughty bits. Over the top of the straps, for a little more protection - although it too doesn't cover very much - is the Kaithleen's Chain Mail Armor.
She dresses herself with some Infierno Heels that will be handy in war, and a Cureless Mask to mark the Twelfth Night of battle. Something so fearsome it would scare even the bravest opponent.
Stuck in the glass cage, I wonder how long our heroine can endure the heat?! I wonder how long the RL me can endure the heat

It's amazing how much the weather can change at the moment. Close your eyes for a nights sleep and it can go from blisteringly hot to somewhat chilly without a moment to pause in between. Last night was so bad, that I ended up suffering with a little heatstroke and migraine by the time I went to bed, and this morning - in fact all day today - it's been bearable and not over hot! Bit scared to go to sleep tonight, I might wake up tomorrow and see snow at this rate LOL...
Still from yesterdays trip to the beach, today Rudh has again been inspired by the change in the weather and she's now somewhere cold, dark and windy!!
Still a beach, but a beach that's not so bright and sunny at least... There's a strong breeze in the air, at least there was when she visited Jacks at NorderNey, and her inner demons are being called out by such a strong natural force, hence the change in her looks...
The wind blew hard through her hair - which is actually a Pink Hustler Disordered Hair Style by the way - so hard that the colour was blown clean out of it while at the same time knotting it around her horns.
The horns and her eyes in fact are new releases from Nightmare - for the current round of Memento Mori that runs until May 27th. The Thilrae Horns are naturally textured demon horns, each colour with it's own ability to change the colours of the metallic jewellery that adorns them. The Mori Eyes are really gorgeous - and typically my photo doesn't really do them justice so I will be helpful and include the store ad below too - but they are demonic eyes which come in 10 different colours that can be mix-n-matched or worn so that both eyes are the same.
Now all the colour has been blown away, it looks like I need to go buy some hair dye LOL... Have to keep my hair looking red and feisty!!!

Ugh I think I'm having one of those weeks at the moment, and the week has only just started. I find myself feeling lost and confused and bored all at once, with no real direction as to what I want to do with myself or the time that I have... I start something then get bored and move to another task with no real focus and it's beginning to drive me nuts! I think being stuck at home doesn't help, I'm not used to it anymore after working as much as I did, and now rather than enjoying sitting behind my PC playing around in Second Life I find myself itching to go out into the Real World. Maybe I'm complaining too much... I just feel a bit strange... A little lost and maybe somewhat misunderstood...
Rudh is joining in on the Misunderstood feeling, only she is taking things literally... Miss Understood, is about right for Rudh and she definitely deserves to win the title of Miss Understood LOL... She's so confusing sometimes with her multiple personalities and characters, that even I have trouble understanding where she is LOL...
Taken at the WHOLE WHEAT sim after her coronation as Miss Understood, it's kinda easy to see why Rudh may have won. She's dressed in a very pretty outfit - available from Oubliette at anyBody this month - but there are indications of things that show she's not just a pretty face and that there is a lot more craziness beneath the surface. A glaringly obvious example of that is that she's looking a little bonier these days...
I LOVE these bone parts, they are a Sliced Torso from CURELESS and oh my gosh as soon as I saw them I HAD to have them. You too can get some, they are available until May 27th at Memento Mori!!
There's just one more thing that I probably should add here as a side note away from my ramblings. The pose that I've used is a bit of an amalgamation. It's a Signature Pose called "I'll Try" but I wanted to show a little love as she just won the Miss Understood Crown so I actually used the Image Essentials Hand Heart AO Companion which made the hands into the heart shape. I hope I'm not going to get into trouble for mixing up pose stores like this but it just worked so well together, and it shows that the Hand Heart AO looks great however it's used!!

Ahhhh Lazy Sunday... A morning of peace, relaxation and staying in your PJs. It's something that everyone should do, and something that I know I enjoy quiet a bit... Work comes later, but right now I'm going to be taking it easy lol! Have a very important wedding to go to later in SL, not one but two of our Gators are getting married - yes to each other it's not two weddings in one day - and so I'll be playing proud Momma Gator, but as I already said, for now, relaxation in my jammies time!
Rudh is going to be doing the same, but I'm not sure if you've noticed or not that Rudh is a little bit different LOL... As a living dead doll she doesn't even sleep like a normal person - choosing instead a sexy looking coffin, that forms part of a pose called "Dreams" from Come Soon Poses available until May 22nd at The Dark Style Fair! She's such a deep sleeper that even standing up doesn't seem to bother her,Count Bearcula can't stand sleeping upright but for Rudh it's not a problem apparently!!! If you look really closely you will even notice that the not-so-sleeping-beauty is actually drooling too!!! So attractive isn't she?!
Although, while on the subject of The Dark Style Fair, I mustn't forget to point out this AWESOME Outfit by WONDERLOST. I'm not sure if it's meant to be Pyjamas, but you know Rudh's a little bit weird at the best of times! The Zoie Outfit from WONDERLOST comes in a collection of different mix-n-match tops and bottoms, and make comfy looking outfits for the girl who loves the darker side of life. It's great that you can combine pieces in your own way, it's letting us be creative and that always makes me happy!!!
Maybe I should wake her though, she will need a lot of primping and preening to get her ready for the wedding today... Someone open the curtains and let in a little more light perhaps?

The dark and macabre side of myself is REALLY enjoying things that are going on in Second Life at the moment. There are so many shopping events that are catering for that side of me right now that I cannot help but feel that Halloween has come a little early - and I'm really not complaining about it! My Dead Doll side is positively giddy with joy at the moment.

Jokes about Hell are a constant around the group of friends I have in SL - HellBone being my hubby and everyone referring to him as Hell, I mean - but joking aside there are many warnings with today's look about my dangerous side.

One of my favourite events in SL is back again for a new round and I am like a kid in a candy store at Christmas that's more than a little excitable! Then what with the opening of The Dark Style Fair too, I'm giddy with excitement and need to calm down a bit before I pass out LOL...
It brings out my dead doll side and created a great amount of creativity, I was a happy girl with a LONG shopping list and well... It's like Halloween comes every 4 months!! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!!
The darkness and macabreness of this event draws me in, reaching out with ghostly hands luring me in to play in the dark graveyard...
I'm talking about the event called Memento Mori - the best event dedicated to the dark, macabre, and horrific! It's definitely my favourite event, and I get sad that I have to wait for 3 months between each round LOL...
Still lets talk about some of my look shall we?! The Hair is a main part of this photo, and when I saw this at Memento Mori I HAD to have it. Now I will say, it's a little strange to see me wearing black hair, but the red colours in the NANI Kiran Hair choices were not really my tone and I'm very happy that I chose the monochrome pack instead... It looks so sad and dark and twisted!! I LOVE IT! I will admit that I added a couple of accessories to my hair, in the form of the runic Elemental Halo and the spiked Deucalion Halo, but I had a story in my mind of a witch being dragged into the darkness for using a bad spell!
Her already scared face enhanced by this Blaspheme scar - created by a SongBird - as she was being dragged away. The remorse showing in her Teary Green Lua Eyes - thanks to these amazing eyes from Izzie's and the gift of a generous friend!
I love this picture so much, it's haunting, melancholy and beautiful - at least I think so - and for me it's just perfect for Memento Mori...
