A Puppy Awakening!

I have to admit that even though today has been the first weekend off I have hd in a few weeks and that I had SUCH HUGE plans to get things done, I find myself feeling sluggish. I'm being slow in everything as I've got no desire to do anything that involves moving... I want to read, I want to laze around, I want to sit back and chill but I have so much to do... Someone wake me up, make me some coffee or something?!

I can't pick up my phone today, without being lost to doom scrolling. I can't sit on the sofa without staring off into space. I can't do anything without letting my mind wander to other things and distract me from the main thing I should be focusing on... 
I sat Rudh down to do her make-up, her Ghoufriend Make-Up - from HAUNT available until August 20th at Midnight Order - if you will, and it was all going well, until she suddenly woke up at the arrival of the cute-looking but somewhat evilly divalicious Pawradise Pups - from Aardvark, and yes they are cute I'm just being silly calling them evil, at Collabor88 until September 7th - arrival... Their arrival means that the Demons are Coming... I better hurry up and get ready...

Oops! I Think I'm in BIG TROUBLE!

Ever have those days when you feel like your brain stops working?! I don't mean in the medical sense either, I'm talking like you cannot remember why you bent down to tie your shoe laces when you are in fact wearing slip-ons, or when you walk into a room and instantly forget what you came in for, or when you're mentally confused because today should be Sunday when it is in fact Friday... That kind of brain fart... I am getting those a lot lately, and someone told me I might be Peri-Menopausal, but I wish this brain fog would clear... 

It's as I was getting overly excited about my new outfit that I'd found at the Midnight Order, a Starla set - from Web Dew - decorated with Suns, Moons and Stars, things that have always made me feel special, and was making me feel remarkly happy that I wondered if I had been forgetting something... I mean I'd decked myself out with some gorgeous accessories, and even remembered to tuck my familiar little burdy into my Burdy Hat - which is a release from Tardfish for The Vault - but it wasn't until I was dancing through the Enchanted Book Hall - which is an older but still gorgeous release from everfaery - that I spotted something with a note attached... OH CRAP... In the bird cage, the Forgotten Birdcage - from CABALPIER - if you will, I think I'm in BIG TROUBLE...

Magical Sparkles at Midnight

It makes me laugh that you can tell the kind of day I've had when you look at my pictures... Today you can tell I've had a relaxing day off. My pictures are sparkling and magical, and I've let that Midnight Orderly magic power from my fingertips in my outfit creation and it's pink and sparkly and magical... It makes me happy... 

There is nothing better than letting the magic takeover, I LOVE when the magic of the Midnight Order becomes a picture like the one I made today... The fact that there is so much PINK involved was not planned, as we all know that pink is the root of all evil but evil and magic can be two of my favourite things...

Time for a little Dark Magic!

I need a little magic after the events of yesterday, and I'm really sorry but I really hope that the driver of the truck who decided to drive fast through a puddle and therefore soaked me for my whole day at work got caught in traffic with a case of explosive butt pee... There is very little chance that the magic I am channelling will be for good... It's like to be some kind of twisted, dark necromancer magic...  

Luckily in Second Life we are still experincing the magical effects of the Midnight Order. This event will be reaching it's halfway peak over the next few days and there will be plenty more chaos to make those that want the dark magic, able to find it... 
Take it from Rudh, a witness account if you will, one moment she was confessing her sin regarding the explosive butt pee in the Corrupted Churches' Confessional - which is a Midnight Order release from LORE by the way - and the next the magic was swirling as she becomes an Infernal Undead Lady Mortis awaiting her orders by the Necromancer's Necrohex Table - from BROKEN ARROWS also at Midnight Order!

A Midnight Battle Order

Well, that's it, my holiday is over and now I guess there has to be something to look forwards to but what... I think for now I'm just going to be avoiding the hot weather and wanting to have the Halloween season start... HellBone and I aren't sure if we will be working on something Halloweeny this year but it's still possible even though we have much to do for it and I'm going to be insanely busy while my boss is away... What can I look forward to now?! 

While I've been away in RL, Rudh has been the excited little weirdo that she is because the magic has swept over Second Life since Midnight Order has opened it's doors. I'm a little late for the grand opening this round but there is SO MUCH in the way of pretties coming from the vendors that I hope being late won't be a problem... 
Right now, before I get to live a little more in the Midnight Magic, I'm going to have to prepare myself for going back to work - and I have a hell of a shite shift tomorrow - I'm getting ready for battle... What To Wear?! What To Wear?!

One of my favourite things about blogging, something that I've often said before, is that I LOVE being able to create characters and come up with some weird and wonderful stories... I LOVE that side of blogging and will do it often... Sometimes it's a case of opening my wardrobe doors and throwing things together... Rats in the Tunnels

April is here, Spring has officially started to spring, and there's something weird going on in Amsterdam where the people are causing dangerous chaos. In the last week there have been two major incidents and things are getting a little scary even in the middle of the day now... Things are changing, we seem to be heading down a bad road, maybe it's towards war, maybe the apocalypse is coming, whatever happens it doesn't feel like it's going to be good? 
Of course, when I think of the Apocalypse, my mind wonders and the fantasy begins... People evolve, situations change and because my mind drifted... I'm slipping into a fantasy world... 

For some reason when I thought about the Apocalypse and a character that would fit with theme of what was going through my mind, Rudh seemed to devolve from her human state to become a human Rat Klaws - coming from the BeSpoke Rat Klaws release for the March/April round of The Warehouse - a leader of the people that live within the Tunnem - a Paleto backdrop - underground... She gets all of the information she needs from her friendly rats, daring through the tunnels on her buggy...

A Witch and her Wolves

What do you do when the day at work you've had SUCKS... I got home and ate, and right now I DO NOT want to talk to anyone or do anything. I feel like if I was to sit on the sofa and watch the wall, it might be the best entertainment I've had LOL... 
I'm going to stare at the spot on the wall and let my imagination drift off to magical places, I'll probably be asleep in the next ten minutes but I'll blame it on a magic spell cast by a dark, mysterious witch... 

There have been many magical beings in my time in SL, but somehow I'm always drawn back to the darker fantasy ladies... The Fae, the Mer and the Witch would but a good definitely be characters that come and go time and time again... 
Those Witches that wander the darker corners of my mind, may be dark but usually practice less harmful magic. The Shadow Dea witch seems to spend time casting many spells, but the ones that call in her Dire Wolf Stags - from Aardvark at the Engine Room. Bringing the dark little friends in to do her devious bidding...

On a Quest for a King...

It's the 31st of March... We've already been through a quater of the year and I honestly feel like it's been going by at super speed.The feeling of the speed is making me feel weary and if I'm honest, more than a little down in the dumps, and the only thing that is getting me by at the moment is the ability to get lost in my own TBR - that's To Be Read list for the people that aren't into reading like I am... I have my favourite genres, but as well as the rather darker smuttier side, I've always been a fantasy reader. I've also always LOVED anything Knights and Medieval historical based... It leads the mind to a calming, happy place... 

I needed a little magic, I needed to let my brain drift off from the current circumstances going on in the world right now and the fact that even though life is getting busier, people around me seem to be getting grumpier... You'd think that tourists coming to Amsterdam to see the flowers, would be happier as they are on vacation, but NO people act like they can do what they want, when they want, how they want and it's so disappointing and a little infuriating... 
I NEED to distract myself, I laid in the sun closing my eyes and dreaming of things that are pretty wonderful... A quest to somewhere tranquil and mystical, somewhere that the magic can soak into your skin and bring you to life... A quest for Arthur's Sword - thanks to a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - saw a Knight pause for a moment in reverence before she tried to free the sword from the stone...

Breaking Free

I've been at work for the last two days and it's felt like I've been locked up without a chance to go outside and dance in the sun... Now OK I KNOW that's overly dramatic, but I'm tired of working and being an adult lol... I find myself walking around as I clean up after people singing "I want to break free"... 

Rudh had been locked up while I was away at work... She's not going to let that stop her though, she's going to do the thing that I cannot... She's going to break free... HOW? Well, she was looking around the jail cells, trying not to scratch because of the itchy Prison Outfit - from ANTAYA, available now at the Engine Room - when she spotted the LARGE collection of Dynamite - from Static - complete with the Bomb Clock - from Krescendo at the ManCave until April 11th - sitting on the other side of the bars... It didn't take much... The Good Bear on her shoulder was missing, and the Evil Bear - which is a set from Tardfish caled Good Vs Evil Bears - only had to whisper a few words before the candles seemed more appealing...

Twenty Thousand Leagues

What happens on a day like today when my mind is allowed to wander but I can't seem to find myself creating another weird and wonderful fae creation... I got a major case of being stuck today... I was in a rut, couldn't think what I wanted to do and for the life of me things were going no where... I WAS CONFUSED... Then I had a momentary brain fart, remembered that I'm in the blogger team for the epic, somewhat steampunkish themed Engine Room and TADAAAAAA my mind went into overdrive... 
Dreams of travelling with and working alongside some of the most interesting fantasy names in literary history, I didn't think it would ever happen... I loved studying his achievements, but when I was offered a trip Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, to the office of one Captain Nemo... I jumped at the chance... 

It's a brilliant sci-fi novel by the great Jules Verne, and is a great adventure that takes place on board the Nautilus Submarine of Captain Nemo. They discover all kinds of crazy things and even though it's a bit science fiction for my normal tastes, it's a story that should never be missed. 
So now that I'm able to check around Nemo's Study - which happens to be a backdrop from LORE for the Engine Room - there is so much to see... He's using a Mind's Analizer to read his rat's mind, he's got some weird Neoflora - from Blue Blood - mechanical flower things growing in an old Mermaid Tank - from Dirty Rat - and everything seems to be electrified... 
I'd had to make sure I fit into his weird little steampunk world... Luckily, I'd had the chance to shop at the Engine Room before I made my way under the sea...

A Demi-Goddess in the Moonlight

Magic is something that I seem to be able to find whenever I close my eyes and open my mind... I LOVE when I just open my brain and let the magic come together of it's own accord.... I'ts time's like this when beautifu things can happen... My creativity starts to sparkle and then the sparkles flow through Rudh into something that makes me smile, no matter what mood I was in before I started. That's why I'll ALWAYS think of my blog as a therapy... 

I love experimenting with colours and even though purple has NEVER been a colour I like all that much, but recently it's become much more of a royal and possible colour for me... 
Engine Room being open allows for the magic to flow more easily, since all of the pretties get the creative juices flowing. I love the way that the magic comes up for the creatures that love to explore the Engine Room...

Prepping for the Show!

 I've had a lovely couple of days off since it was my Birthday on Wednesday and today the hubby and I were doing lots of things to get stuff done in the house... The basic boring things like laundry, grocery shopping and vacuuming... It also meant I had a chance to sit behind the PC and go through things that I need to get organised for blogging before the end of the month... 
There's so many things to get done in the next 11 days... Now that Spring is officially here though, and things are abnormally warm, that may mean there will be a lot more colours and flowers and prettiness around... For now, there is an event being prepped and readied, it's almost time to get on with the show... 

Sometimes the show can be an entertaining carnival affair with clowns and colours and magic, sometimes though it is the opposite and we end up watching a Tragic Show - like the backdrop I'm posing in today from The Bearded Guy - and you can NEVER tell what type of show it will be. This can be said especially when the Engine Room is opening, and all manner of clientelle comes to town seeing the steampunkish wares... 
The sometimes clowm, sometimes carnival freak that I am had better hurry to get things set up properly, before the doors of the Engine Room officially opens at 12PM SLT today... Uwila, the Keepers of the Quartz

Today I had the day off and I felt like I needed a little magic, things are beginning to look a lot like Spring and the sun has finally started defrosting the Netherlands but I get the feeling that by the time my Birthday gets here the weather may have changed a little.. I NEEDED some magic... I called out into the eather and found a magical being with a store that needed to be told... 

Within the Ivy covered hallways - a backdrop from Paparazzi - of the castle there are a wide range of magical beings gathering... It was the arrival of the Uwila - which happens to be a head and body release from BeSpoke - that caused the most stir. The ethereal, celestial bird like beings are keepers of the Ephemera Quartz, and they harvest the magic through their Magus Rods - a release from Quills & Curiosities - in the hopes that Spring will be a happy, wonderful one...

Love on the Pastel Promenade

It's the month of hearts, romance and valentines... Pretty, sweet, romantic things that make the heart flutter and those that love love, sparkle... I felt a need to do something pretty and pink and romantic and sparkly, it's not my favourite of the holidays and so I'm doing my best, even though I'm very much the Anti-Valentine right now... It's time for some hearts, romance and sparkly things... 

I wanted to create my own personal little cupid... One that looks sweet and innocent, a cute little replacement for the diapered baby, with someone a little more sweet and devious... A pretty little feathered angel, that's pale skinned and glittering hearts and dripping in pink... It's the perfect outfit to take a walk down the Pastel Promenade in the city of Love...

The Most Magical Library

Tomorrow is my day off... I'm going to spend it reading a book and avoiding being an adult for a while - if you can over look the fact that my reading material would not be considered anything but adult - and I want to head to that magical place where the books are more magical than this crazy life I'm stuck in... I dislike RL people so much at the moment... 

If you need book recommendations then I'm definitely an advocate for Goodreads, and if Goodreads was personified she'd be the most magical of librarians... 
In their library, she'd be surrounded by magic and flying books, and the entire library catalogue will be listed within her Dark Academy Computer - from random.Matter at Midnight Order - so that she can magic up any information to lead us to the smut we desire...

When a Wolf wants to Sleep

Tomorrow is my day off, I've been working today, and I'm counting down now until I get to go home and see my parents, but tomorrow is going to be a lazy Thursday, and I'm going to read and relax and SLEEP!! If I can pursauade my body to let me sleep without pain, if I can persuade my mind to switch off... I NEED to turn my head off and sleep... Maybe I need to start counting sheep... 

I've had many Better Days - although the pose is from -Extra- - and so now I'm ready for bed... I think I might sleep for the next 6 months of my life... Perhaps?! 
I have been reading and doing all kinds of things before bed to make sure I get a good night's sleep, and so tonight I might have to start counting sheep or something... For some reason when I think of this though my mind starts to wander, which doesn't help me sleep, and I start to wonder if a wolf was to count sheep would they be drooling as they do it? Would Grandma's bed in the Red Riding Hood story be a bit soggy if the Big Bad Wolf was counting to fall asleep in Grandma's bed?

Bored Little Sun Goddess

I'm struggling a bit today, my back hurts and I'm tired and I think I have a little bit of the S.A.D that is so common at this time of year. I'm trying hard to carry on and hoping that everything will feel better when the sun comes out again but for now I'm hiding from the dark with a good book and a cuppa tea, and waiting for the Sun Goddess to make an appearance... 

The Sun Goddess seems to be getting a little bored at the moment... Maybe that's why the weather is so gray and dark... She's bored since these days there are a lot less human sacrifices to provide her with hearts for her fun. Things are no longer the same as the way they were when the Aztecs built shrines - like the one from DROT at The Warehouse Sale - dedicated to their goddesses, especially the Sun Goddess... 
She's taking her need for hearts into her own hands, collecting them herself to keep the glittering of her wings alive...

Bathtime for the OwlBears

I've been off work today because I have terrible pain running up and down my back. Any time I took a step it was like lightning ran down my right leg. Hubby was looking after me but I was able to take it easy and things are maybe getting better... I've put off doing my chores, I've put off doing anything besides relaxing and reading a book and taking a long hot shower... 

Rudh on the other hand had a few things to be getting on with... Chores to do around the house and tasks she'd offered to help with because they seemed far too cute not to... That was why she found herself in the Gothic Attic Skybox - a creation by LORE for Midnight Order - of the grand old wizard, to assist him on Owlbear wash day... The wash station was set-up on his Potions Station - which is a cute creation from ChiMia also for Midnight Order - and he had gathered his Owlbears - which are a release from Aardvark, also for Midnight Order - ready for their bath...
