I'm not feeling so well today, I've got a summer time cold amongst other things, so when I tried to sit myself down to get some photography done my mind was having none of it! Luckily for me though I had some ready and waiting, and even luckier for me there was one that followed on from my fantasy fairytale post of yesterday. I think I'm in the mood for it now, a fairytale that takes me away from my Summer Cold, and into a land where magic exists!

Although actually the more important thing right now is I saw something that I HAD to have and have been finding excuses to wear it ever since, and well it fit in well in a Fairy bar so...

OK Christmas overload, I need to step back for a minute and do something totally different. Unlike Halloween I find that sometimes Christmas gets to be a little too much for me, so as much as this year feels like a much more special year than some in the past have, I find myself suffering with an overload.
SO on December 4th, we had a special party at the Gators... One of our members Max - or more affectionately as he's know MaxiPad - celebrated his birthday. We threw him a themed party, that was a little tribal in style, since he lives in Arizona and well, it's a desert and he teases us Brits for being pasty!!!
This ultimately gave me another perfect excuse to play dress up... This time, I was a warrior princess!!!
Princess status well because I wanted it LOL... Move over Moana!! There's a new Tribal Princess in town!!
Her Skull headdress - that is part of the Truth Arwen Hair - and Paradise Collar Necklace - from Remarkable Oblivion - show her rank, while her staff and leg weapon give credence to her warrior status, but it is her Peacock companion that marks her out as special - thanks to Jian's beautiful pets! Peacocks are often regarded as birds of Royalty, they are seen as signs of guidance, protection and spirituality, and well... They are also just gorgeous to look at too!!

The dark magic has taken over and although I've said it before I will say it again, I'm SO EXCITED that October has finally arrived! For the month I'm going to be letting my imagination run wild and that means there will be a lot of blood but a lot of magic too...
Today I'm doing something pretty but magical, one of my dear friends won something gorgeous and decided that I would be the lucky girl that was gifted it... You KNOW that as soon as I tried it on my creativity level went through the roof hehe...

I tend to be one of those people that is a little optimistic about the things that I do in life. I am one of those "I'll give it a try" type people, even if I back those thoughts up with thoughts of doubt... Sometimes I am right and you get no response to the situation, but others there is a surprise that brings a smile to your face.
The fantasy lover in me was drawn out recently, and I have to say I have missed working on something a little more fantasy. It started with a dress - themed for the Game of Thrones, which I admit I know NOTHING about - and finished with a tiny little dragon in a teacup hehe... Let the imagination commence as the Dragon Princess saves a baby dragon from a dark underground world!
The location is amazing, one of those really pretty Role Play sims that I initially thought wouldn't let people in... BUT... They have an observer tag that you can wear and I slipped that on before going exploring, and I was hoping that so long as I stayed out of the way of the action I'd not bother anyone... I'd recommend the sim for fantasy photography - it's Mysts of EYR - and I know that I will definitely be going back to take more photos... It is gorgeous!
The entire reason for the dress and letting my imagination run wild however, not to mention my opening ramble, is that recently I was digging around, looking to see if anyone was accepting new bloggers - I wanted to try my luck and see if I had what it takes... One of those places was Petite Mort. NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be given a shot, especially considering I hadn't ever blogged their creations before, but OH MY GOD their designs are SO pretty and so varied!
This dress is one from Petite Mort that you can grab for yourself at the latest round of The Instruments, which this month has a Game of Thrones theme. I didn't realise at the time I was taking this picture too but there is someone linked with Dragons in the Game of Thrones - I really may be the only person on the planet that has no idea, and I'm sorry LOL - but the dragon I rescued needed to be freed... I had no way of getting him out except putting him in my tea cup! You can find these dragons - and the matching horns - at the latest Kawaii Project from darkenedStare!
One more thing before I sign off though, I wanted to include a close-up picture which you can see below, just to show off some of the accessorising I did in this fantasy look... LODE's Violet Wreath looked great with the horns, and the eyes that seemed to change as soon as I reached for the dragon. There was a SongBird calling "Soothsayer" nearby, not sure if that was related, but my eyes sure did itch hehe...

Sometimes you take a good picture, when you take that picture it instantly becomes one of your favourites... This for me is one of those times, and I didn't know when to share it with you because it's one of those photos that I love and wanted to wait for just the right time...
Today, whilst on vacation, I found that time... I am gearing up to return to my home in Holland, I will be leaving my parents and arriving home tomorrow, but it's leaving me with mixed feelings.
It's been very strange being without everyone that I talk to every day... The Gators, My bestieface and even some of those people that I talk to who aren't associated with either... I have missed my dog and cat, I've even kinda sorta missed my hubby LOL... Though the other side of me is thinking UGH I don't want to leave my family! I've had such a lovely break here, my mind is rested and I am ready to fight again, but just the thought of leaving is making me homesick already...
Luckily I have a lovely picture ready to make me feel better, isn't it? This, as I have said before, is one of my favourite photos of late, and I just love the magic and serenity of it... That's how I feel right now... Serene!! Mind you, if I post again tomorrow, I'm not entirely sure the post will say the same LOL...
Lilian and I bought these amazing dresses at the latest round of We <3 RP, from the deviousMinds store. I chose a sheer aqua colour but decided that I wasn't brave enough to wear it without something underneath... Luckily I had my old go-to body suit to pull on hehe... The place that Lil found for us to pose these amazing dresses is one called the Mysts of Eyr, which is a medieval fantasy jungle role-play sim... It's just the perfect location!
The rests of my accessories are actually things from Half-Deer... The Mermaid's Majesty Bejewelled items - including the head fins and bracelets - are available from this month's line-up of The Arcade, whilst the adorable Jewel Jellybell Jellyfish comes from their release at Collabor88... These things make perfect accessories for the mermaids that walk on earth...
