Sheep Counting Shepherdess

Today was my day off, I spent the day doing things to relax when I wasn't working on getting the house work done... I wanted to sleep, I wanted to curl up and hide under a blanket and not come out... When I did try to take a nap, there was far too much on my mind and I couldn't get myself to fall asleep if I even tried... 

I had to reach out and seek a little assistance... I reached out to someone I KNEW might help me and she took a few minutes but then took a long time rounding up her herd... Death Loses His Angel

It's the start of March, and therefore the high season for me starts as it's the start of my Birthday month and the start of the end of my 30s... On March 19th, I turn 40... I cannot wait to celebrate this amazing new chapter in my life, but I'm kinda wishing this year would be done already... Now things are getting a bit worrying as Anna - my darling little kitty - is wobbling on her feet and I'm a bit scared for her too... So I'm starting my month with the amazing death of my 30s... 

Death has been having a field day but today, the death of his beautiful angel of death... The girl of the shoulder that she sits on is about to enter her 40s causing her a massive amount of shock lol... He's broken, he is shedding a tear and on his knees to worship the loss of his gorgeous angel... Killing Cupid

It is hard to believe that it's almost the end of February already and that means we're already two months down and into the third month of the year. March is one of the most important month's of the year, since it's my Birthday month and this year I'll be a number that rhymes with sporty... First though there is ONE thing that I have to do before we end out February... 

I need to rid us of that annoying little thing that has been buzzing around us for the month, and that means someone perhaps me, needs to get rid of that little Cupid... Tanuki Sushi

Dinner time in the flat has been a little weird, I'm so not happy with cooking in the airfryer so if you have any recipies for air fryer recipies please let me know... I wish I could just live on take-out so I don't have to cook in the flat... I haven't even tried cooking in the kitchen since we've lived here and that's because it's shared with the shop staff and kinda gross too... I have cravings, and I feel like tonight I SHOULD head to that new little Japanese restaurant in town...

A Queen in Hiding!

Finally a day off and I had the chance to have a lay in. It was blissful, until we heard the staff of the shop below arriving for work and disturbing the wonderful slumber... It was so lovely cuddling up with Hell and my cat,and then reality came through and we had to go to our house and do some of the final work before we handover the keys next week... The first thing I NEED to do though is get a very, large cup of coffee... 

Even though I'm happy to have a day off and had a bit of a lay in, I'm still bloody exhausted and I know that HellBone is too...

Gifts of the Gods

It's been a while since I did something that lt my fantasy side out to play and for some reason I found myself veering towards the magical, dream-like and fanstastical... I had no idea where I would go, but my mind lead me to something a little God-like... Not any modern god either, this one was a little historical magic... 

I think that today though, the magic did have some kind of base in reality... My feet are hurting after a long day of work and well... I kinda wished for magical gifts of shoes from the gods... Little did I know that it was the Egyptian gods that were listening and that they'd grant me the magic of their people to walk on...

Chinese New Year

It feels like a lot is happening all at once in a Spiritual sense at the moment... There are so many different religious and cultural things going on in the world at the same time right now and it feels kinda different that everyone is celebrating something spiritual all at once. It would be nice if it would unite the world a little more, bring us all together since we're all a little closer to our spirituality right now but I doubt very much that will be the case since we all feel so broken... 

Now I know that I am NOT a religious person. I definitely believe in spiritual things, I am always going to believe in fairies and magic, and I LOVE all of the stories from different religions that are uplifting and full of meaning, and I REALLY hope I'm not going to cause offence but I don't like to think anyone's beliefs are more important than anyone elses... I love that we can all be different and believe what we choose, so long as it doesn't harm anyone - yes I KNOW that Wars are constantly, even now, being fought over religious reasons - but it would be such a boring world to live in, if EVERYONE thought the same, believed in the same, dressed the same or acted in the same way... That's my 10cents anyway...
I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I wanted to look a little at some of the current spirituality taking place that I know little about... Besides things I learnt at school there is SO MUCH TO KNOW about two big things taking place right now... Today I will be looking a little at the Chinese Lunar New Year.
So, for us that are not in the know, what is Chinese New Year?
Well apparently it's the most important Chinese Holiday, covering 15 days to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year, and this year it started on February 17th - yes I KNOW I'm two days late, but I'm moving houses at the moment, give me some slack lol... The reason for the celebration is that it's a start of change, it celebrates family - often honouring ancestors - saying goodbye to the old and welcoming the new fortune for the new year. The whole celebration will culminate 15 days after it starts - so that's March 3rd - with the Lantern Festival!
Another interesting thing that I've often seen but never really thought much of, is that the Chinese Zodiac characters are animal based. Now there is a LOT of information about this, and I could basically write a whole other blog post for it, but this year is the year of the Horse - apparently as I was born in 1986 I am from the year of the Fire Tiger! 
Anyway, thank you for listening to me ramble and learn something new as I went along, I actually really enjoyed looking into something I knew little about and putting together a post for it. I think I will try it more often, and don't worry as always there will be something pretty to look at with a list of what I've got in the picture too... Just accept my ramblings LOL you know you want to...

Slowly Moving In

It's kinda happened, HellBone and I have almost finished moving into the most different location from our real house, and it's feeling a LOT like we are on holiday at the moment... I don't think the cat has even started to fully understand that we are here for a while and she keeps waiting near any door that she hasn't explored behind yet...
He had to go out for work today and left me to settle in, do some unpacking and try to find my place here, whilst keeping the cat calm... That's what I was supposed to do... It didn't really pan out that way... 

I spent a LOT of my day doing things to settle us in, and make it feel a little more homey... The rest of the day, I spent a fair amount of time laid back on my bed reading a book to look after the cat...

Go Away Cupid!

It's Valentine's Day but it's ben a long hard day for me at work and now I'm more than happy to curl up with a delivery pizza and an episode of the random crap that I am currently binge watching. Tomorrow is a HUGE day for us, tomorrow is moving day and we're both a little knackered but all will be OK and once we're moved things SHOULD calm down a little... I hope... For now though, I don't need any hearts and romance, all I want is a chance to curl up and get comfy... 

I'm so lucky that I'm done playing the Second Life Dating Game... Hell was someone I met in SL 16 years ago now and though we started as friends, I've been his RL missus for almost all of that time! I met him in RL as a friend, we parted ways as a couple and had a long distance thing for 6 months before he asked me to move in, not just his home but to his homeland... I'll never call myself Dutch, but here I am... 
The SL Dating Game - which in the picture happens to be a blaink backdrop - always felt like such hard work, and you hear so many things going round about people cheating and lying and causing drama to those that are looking for love... I often feel like it would be a lost cause for me if I had to try again, and I'd rather go on a TV dating show like the 1990's Blind Date with Cilla Black LOL... 
Still, Cupid - and his companions like those released from MishMish, available until March 6th at Collabor88 - needs to stay well away from me, I'm happy in what I got even though it's not perfect. I've been told the "Love is in the Air Spray" - from MIDNA  - is the best form of repellant against the little beasties...

Valentine Treats

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am working and we are moving on Sunday so I have no plans to do much of anything... PLUS I don't really like Valentines anyway, unless you haven't guessed it. I'm not totally anti it, I definitely believe in love but I don't really feel ike Love should just be celebrated on one day... Love is an eternal thing, a thing that should be cherished always... So I'm celebrating the sweetness, the adorableness, and the happiness, all the while my Hubby is watching Friday the 13th and scaring the shit out of me LOL... 

So normally I'd wait until after Valentine's to get my hands on TONNES of discounted chocolates that I needed but sometimes in the middle of al of the chaos a girl needs a little chococlate treat... Now I am planning to do something delicious with all of that Valentine's Candy but I wanted it to be something a little different too, after all, it's not your everyday run of the mill boring kinda candy... 
Maybe I'll enjoy a little Halloween Candy Fondue... Some yummy sweet treats for dipping in the melted chocolate and plenty of lovehearts all around... Wandering into Wonderland

Honestly I'm OVER Valentine's already but wanted to do something with hearts and flowers and a little cuteness to at least try and stay with the romantic feels... I spent a long time dreaming of what I could do that would make me smile and feel a little less grumpy than I have been and I seem to have drifted off into a dream land... When I woke up I was drifting into a magical place, a Wonderland of my own... 

The mirror in my room, started to get a little hazy, there was a certain amount of magic that seemed to be floating through the mirror and so I decided to let it see where it would take me and what wonderful things would happen... The mirror's reflection drew me in, as I got close it started to change, and before I knew it, I was stepping through into Wonderland... 
As I stepped through, the mirrors magic dressed me for the part, an outfit fit for Lewis Carroll himself and most wonderfully weird and wonderful imaginings...

The Anti-Valentine

Valentine's is getting nearer, you can hear it sneaking up on us a little like the Jaws theme is playing on repeat in the background, and honestly as much as I'm trying to enjoy the festivities in SL, I'm distracted and acting a LOT more like a grumpy Anti-Valentine... There is still a little magic to be had for the Anti-Valentine though, and since the Midnight Order is a perfect place for people to seeking something dark and deadly, and the Anti-Valentine is more than willing to help... 

So within the Damirin Halls - which are actually a backdrop by The Bearded Guy - in the Midnight Order's hallowed halls, there are lots of remnants of the Blood Magic of the old Magic Clans... 
The Anti-Valentine is a little Devilish with her red, bloody skin, and wilted roses litter her blood stained wings. Milk, Cookies & Cowgirls!

This weekend is Valentine's Weekend and that mean the world is filled with hearts and flowers and romance and sweetness... I am not really a sweet romance kinda girl, I love doing things with my hubby but we're definitely not a romantic pair... We tend to end up doing silly things that make us laugh more than anything... 
Still I'm going to try and get some cute, random, fun in before the holiday and that means after this week I'm done with romance LOL... 

So for today, now that I'm done with work, I'm going to spend a few days at the farm in RL doing a little bit of tidying up, I might also find myself a cute farm hand to enjoy a roll in the hay with. Moving all that Emotional Baggage

This week and next are CRAZY busy weeks in my RL. From February 26th, HellBone and I don't have access to our house in RL because we are having some MAJOR rennovations done that are necessary and we HAVE to get things done. SO, HellBone and I are tidying, packing, sorting and prepping not only ONE but TWO places because luckily for us, my boss was willing to let us live on one of their properties... I have large amounts of anxiety over my roughly 6-month temporary relocation, but for now I'm just getting things ready... 

Every time I have a day off it's like the typical Moving Day scene - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - there are boxes and cleaning supplies and mess everywhere... It's not just the stuff though, it's all the emotional baggage that I'm carrying - represented so perfectly by The Bearded Guy's What I Carry box - that is making this harder. I am exhausted, I am running on high anxiety and I can feel the clock ticking in a count down to when we are needing everything done and ready by... The cat isn't helping too as she's stressing while the house empties around her and she screams at the top of her little lungs in the voice of her people... I wish there was more hours in the day, just a few hours more then I'd be able to have a proper dinner, rather than just some pizza in my mouth as I dash past... Although Mouth Pizza is flipping delicious...

Recharging the Harpies

Having one of those days where you need a little more magic in your life? I know that I have been feeling that way for a while now and I don't think there will be anything that I can get to happen anytime soon... 
So I'm going to have to get myself dragged into the Midnight Order and find the magic so that I can refind my own sparkle... 

The magic thats can only be found in the old Dany's Throne Room - a backdrop from K&S - is a draw to many that come to visit the Midnight Order. Today's visitor is one of the Galewing Harpies - with wings and jewels from aii at the current round of Midnight Order until February 20th - who has come to absorb some of the magic from the Leyline Table. It makes her glow, the halo glittering more as she recharges her magical batteries, I wish it was just as easy in RL...

Sandwiches for Dinner

It's the first of February and I have no idea about where this month will take me... I'm moving to temporary housing in a few weeks because we're having some massive rennovations done to our home. It's causing my anxiety to spike and therefore more stress is in the house than normal. I'm worried about everything and I'll be honest I don't really want to do much of anything, it's a difficult cycle to be in... For right now I'll stick to the easy decisions I need to make... Like what do I want for dinner?!

I would say that's one of the easiest questions but one of the hardest to answer, and there have been SO MANY TIMES I tend to debate with myself for hours... I NEVER know what I want and when there is something that I do want and I don't have it, or I don't want anything that I do have. 
One of my favourite things that has become dinner will always be a Sandwich, I could eat sammiches ALL day long, preferably with a side of chips and maybe a little vinegary... Today, the sammich of choice is a Reuben - thanks to Lucas Lameth - and although I've never had one I hear that they are pretty good, full of pastrami, melted cheese and apparently sauerkraut. Tonight, as it's a special occasion because I feel like it, I'm going to have a lovely bag of Puppy's Tasty Snacks Potato Chips - from MishMish for the Saturday Sale this weekend - and a delicious Snap'N'Dill pickle - from Tardfish - where each of the packages comes with a surprise inside...

Beasts Released!

Oh my gosh it's the end of January... Where did January go? Normally the month seems to go on forever and yet this year it was a blink and you miss it situation... 
Now though the Valentine's feelings are able to come in and cause epic amounts of chaos for a couple of weeks... The little naked flying babies have been released and they are on their way to earth BUT there may be a slight problem... A little error occurred in the release process... 

When the release button was pushed, it somehow unlocked other containment units at Cryptid HQ, and things that should have stayed locked away until the scary season have been released... Monsters that may cause Valentine's to become Anti-Valentines, and at this time it is unsure how many of these things were let loose... 
Now, never fear everyone, we have warned the illusive Secret Society that is the Midnight Order, and they will be working tirelessly to both assist our recapture efforts and provide distraction with their wonderful shopping experience... 
Now we just gotta play like they are Pokemon and catch 'em all...Just a shame we don't know how many got loose? This could cause chaos... Valentine's could either be cute or deadly... I guess we have to watch this space right?!

Sorry, but I'm Keeping the Ring!

It's almost the month of Love, well technically unlike Christmas or Halloween, Valentine's shouldn't get a whole month as it's halfway through and therefore we suffer less with it perhaps?! I shouldn't complain, I've had HellBone for the last 15 Valentine's but meh, it's such a boring holiday lol... 
All that trouble rejecting the (Non) Valentines that I get every year - it makes me laugh since I NEVER actually get one, even from the hubby - but it's such a chore LOL... I might as well get started early... 

Now I am no fool, I don't need all of these romantic gestures and gifts, BUT since the trouble was taken to choose and give me these things, it would be rude of me not to keep them and put them to good use... 
I'll write them a nice letter back and may even take pictures of me posing with some of the pretty gifts like this fabulous diamond ring that was sent as "The Promise" - which is actually a release from Boutique #187 for DUBAI until February 15th, and there are SO MANY different options for what you want the card to say... Such a fun idea for this time of year don'tcha think? - and it's a promise I'm going to have to make him break with a well written note of thanks...

My Disney Princess Moment!

It's been a day off for me and I've taken some time to look after myself and get some fun things done for me... I wanted to catch up on some blogging, play with some outfits and get some of my inventory sorted... 
I spent lots of time singing along, badly I might add, to a playlist of Disney songs and thus I was channelling my inner-Disney Princess... 

It helped that I spent a lot of time playing around today in some gorgeously pretty dressed, that I had picked up when I went to shop at the Midnight Order... That place is magical and the fashions are fit for the princesses amongst us... 
The Dolce Far Niente Gardens - a backdrop from K&S - is slowly shacking off it's Winter wear and the birdies are coming back in search of something delicious... So I took more of an opportunity to live my Disney Princess dreams and, even though I actually sounded more like Princess Fiona in Shrek, I had a little sing song with the birdies...

Prepping the Bad Magic before Valentine's

Ahhh Wednesday, thank fuck you're finally done for me and I have the day off tomorrow... I NEED to have some time to relax, although with the building preparations and having to pack umore stuff I think I have a lot more to do than I might have anticipated LOL.... 
For tonight I'm going to kick back and work a little magic... The month of the hearts and flowers and romance is alomost upon us and for the next couple of weeks everything will no doubt be full of Valentine's sweetness... I'm not a Valentine fan, can't it be Halloween again?! Perhaps I need to find a way... 

Now if there is one thing I do know is that Monster Smut is often a good way to enjoy the romance and seduction without things being too sickly sweet... Since starting my reading journey I've discovered a LOT of new things that are somewhat intriguing... 
I've decided to let the bood thirsty monster out of myself, I'm going to let her let her hair down and plan her Valentine season... No mush, no sickly sweet, not even a card, just dark Valentine funsies... She's already preparing herself, she's had something to drink and has been to see the magical beings of the Midnight Order - which runs until February 20th by the way - to pick up some Love Potion and a Blood Vial - from Ritual - so that she can get started...

Frozen treats for the Snowmen

There have been so many crazy things going on weather-wise lately, I mean at the beginning of January things got very, very cold and icy here in the Netherlands, and now it seems like it's the turn of large parts of North America. I have a lot of theories on things like the weather, and some of them are more set in logical thinking than others but my current one involves one of the biggest companies in the word and their new zone in a certain European theme park LOL... 
The cold weather pictures online from across the pond have definitely made me feel a little like playing in the snow though, and as much as I hated it while it was here, it's fine to enjoy when I don't have to live with it hehe... 

If you haven't heard, the European Disneyland also known as Dineyland Paris, is making announcing every where about the fact that before long they will be opening a new park zone dedicated to all things Elsa, Olaf and Anna, yes Arendelle is coming to Disneyland Paris... My theory is that since they are one of the richest companies in the world they paid some evil genius lots of money to get everyone into the Frozen spirit and took it literally LOL... Told you it was silly... 
Hence why today, I decided to throw on an Elsa-esque outfit and host a little tea party for the Friendly Snowmen - from MishMish - although there is no tea being served to avoid anyone melting. Instead of tea, we have lots of delicious Ice Creams and Sundaes.

Gummy Bears Don't Go THERE!

Sunday is always officially been the start of my weekend, for the longest time anyway... So what does any party girl like to do on her weekend... PARTY of course... A working week for me is often busy and stressful, and people irritate the everloving piss out of me, but that just wants me to let my hair down and go crazy... So for the party this weekend, expect some interesting shinanigans LOL... Maybe something involvin gummy bears lol... 

Random I KNOW, but that's just me and besides who doesn't love a good gummy bear... I was given a bag of Haribo Gummy Bears and they somehow became my inspiration LOL... 
So when I was being weirdly random and digging through my hoard to find something to wear over a pair of ripped fishnet stockings - that just happen to be a creation from Psycho Barbie, that comes with ripped and non-ripped BOM versions plus a pair of BOM panties - it could have been a look that went in any direction... Then I had a call, that lead to a game of playtime and a little bit of drinking, and before long kinkier things were happening than just a fun game with gummy bears... This MAY have lead to Gummy Bears being hidden in places that could have caused stickiness and SHOULD NOT be hiding places for candy...

A Weekend with the Class Pet!

As it's the weekend, many people have the next two days off...I've been working Saturdays in the cheese shop for  while so I am not one of them but come Sunday I can relax a bit or at least not have to go to work anyway LOL... Relaxing won't happen until we move into the flat for a few months... 
As a kid I ALWAYS loved when the school bell rung on Friday afternoon and it meant we had two days without school. There was always one thing that I'd heard about with friends in other schools though that we never had the experience of... Someone always had the luck of being able to take home the class pet... 

One of my friends even got to bring her class rat home once, I don't think that her mother was too pleased at having a rat in the house over the half-term holidays but it was fun to be able to see it for a while... SO in homage to that I decided that this weekend I'd be the one to bring the class pet home, since I was always a teacher's pet I think I deserve the treat don't you? 
I've packed up all my school supplies and I'm ready to head home, but I cannot forget to collect B-Rat-nee Spears - who is a Button Ears Dumbo Rat from Aardvark at the current round of ACCESS until February 8th - and I'm all set to go home!!!
