Geometrics and Bubbles!

My last post was a ittle morose and I am sorry to anyone that I may have brought down with my unhappy ramblings... Today I was boosted from my feelings of meh by a chance coversation caused by my rambling space and therefore not only did I realise that my therapeutic ramblings help me, they do in fact provide entertainment to others a little bit too... It deftinitely made me feel better and made me feel like today I needed to do something random, sparkly and crazed... 

I dunno why the most random of pictures always makes me feel the happiest, and most alive... I wanted bright and colourful, I wanted something neon and colourful, I wanted colours... I filled my screen with Geometric Light Tiles - a release that has come from the great minds at MadPea, and is still available until November 24th at LEVEL - and brightness that made me feel like I was exploring a magical place like Oz... Maybe it's due to my social media being filled with Wicked stuff, but today was all about the green... Can't have been helped that my Witch Tumbler - from Boutique #187 at SABBATH now - was also a green witch theme and the bubbles were so bubbly they were floating away in the breeze...

Missing You

I know sometimes I'm random and I'm a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions, but I made a RL mistrake today and it's hurt me and I feel a need to get it out and talk to someone. I don't wanna burden my hubby with it, and my family and friends are all busy so why not vent here and let it out this way, maybe someone out there can relate... 
It's getting closer to Christmas... This Christmas will be my first without my puppy Izzy, and even though we lost her in February, I caught myself about to buy her something as a gift for Christmas this morning...

I know it seems like a silly thing, I was buying a gift for my kitty... Anna has become so used tobeing the Queen of the house, but I spotted something so adorable for the puppy that I ALMOST bought it before I remembered that Izzy will be eating her Christmas Turkey with other pets from my past... It brought a tear to my eyes, and I fought hard not to let the hubby see...
Needed to find a way to get it out of my system. I miss her so much, and even though there is NO PLAN to get a new Dog anytime soon - I love the freedom that I have without her being here - I can't stop myself from missing her... I had to find somewhere peaceful, to curl up with a cool drink and my memories, I needed to think of her and have a good cry to get over things...

A Picky Tea for Dinner

It's dinner time... What do I want for dinner?? I'm not really sure, and on days like today I tend to go with a very British option... In the UK when I was growing up, we referred to this dinner as Picky Bits. It tended to be something I made with my sister when mum and dad were away, and now it comes under many guises... Picky Bits, British Tapas, a Picky Tea or the more straight to the point "We-need-to-get-everything-out-of-the-freezer-because-it-needs-defrosting" dinner... Today let me help educate you about the Picky Tea... 

I am not really the best for making a good description of the Picky Tea, I'll pass you over to someone on Social Media, Star Holroyd and her brilliant video on TikTok for the best description...
Roughly though, a Picky Tea is about 80% Beige Foods, 15% Posh Veggies - which works out to be any salad veg that has had some kind of cutting done to it therefore making it "posh" and the last 5% is made up of things that make no real sense with the rest of the foods on the table, has been stuffed in the back of the fridge and will invariably be put back into the cupboard without being touched... But likeI said, listen to Star, she explains things better hehe... 
80% Beige Food, 15-20% Posh Food "Any salad veg that have been sliced, therefore made "posh"", 5% makes no sense to the rest but has been hiding in the cupboard for over a year that is gotten out in the hopes that someone will eat it, although it is invariably put back into the cupboard to wait a little longer... 
For my SL Picky Tea I've gone all out... I have Steak Fajitas with Salsa and Guac, I got a special Thanksgiving Pizza and Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers. There's fresh veggies and Texas Rolls and cheese, and I even found some tins of fish AND some Aunt Bessie's Yorkshire Puds in the freezer.

Make New Friends

It's already nearing the end of November and that means before very long Christmas will start and things will go bonkers... I have so much to do, I want to get myself some new Christmas decorations and may even go out into nature and collect some wild winter foliage for decor... I'll head out into the wild and make a day of it... 

I'd made myself a little camp on the edge of the woods, just over the bridge in the Snowfall Crossing - a backdrop by Synnergy.Tavis - and after spending a few hours collecting foliage to use as decor, I curled up in a pile of blankets on rugs laid in the snow to hide away for a tea break... 
While I was making the tea, I must have passed out a little, when I woke up I had some new friends that had decided my camp looked like a nice warm plae for a nap... Fox Friends came for pets, and Lil Bear Cubs were making themselves at home - both of these sets of animals are from Aardvark, the bears are currently available at TMD and the foxes are at the current round of ACCESS - whilst the cute little bunnies took over my scarf...

Wolves on a Full Moon

November 15th is a Full Moon, and it is the last super moon of the year... Apparently it's a Beaver Moon, though I'm not sure what that's about and why... Maybe someone knows something somewhere, perhaps Google knows...
Unfortunately that makes people go crazy, NOT that I need any excuse to be a little random because that's exactly what I feel most of the time... For some reason I ended up thinking of a werewolf on the full moon and well... One random thing lead to another... 

Only in this case the cow wasn't the one jumping over the moon, the werewolf was living her best Ceres era... It's a time in a young werewolf's life when the change makes them extra springy - and it's something that I just totally made up because I can lol - but during this little werewolf's Ceres Era - thanks to the amazing Jeans, Waist Sweater, Shoes and Socks created by The Kiwi Co, in collaboration with the Ceres Hairstyle by TRUTH - not only was she ready to jump, she was ready to fly over the moon... The Crazy Circus

I got through most of Halloween this year with very few clowns and although my Sammy Winchester hates them, there seems to be so many in my mind - and surrounding me in RL for that matter - so today when I'm having my mind off work and onto crazy boring things but as my mind was racing I ended up being surrounded by the clowns in my own personal crazy circus... 

The Crazy Circus is pouring straight out of my overly tired mind today, it's like someone has peeled back my scalp and the monster within is the ringmaster in my own personal crazy place... The clock is ticking until we can use that brilliant phrase once uttered by someone a little bit beetlejuicy - and a reason that I'm looking a little rotten tonight whilst still wearing my amazing new Suddenly Cardigan from my newest sponsor Garmonbozia at the current round of FaMESHed - for now I'm checking on the Unicorn Balloon Skele - the October group gift from Aardvark - in her cage and getting more than a little frustrated that one of those crazy idiot clowns left the gate open and released the Chained Up Buns - a new release from Tardfish for this month's Anthem... Discovery of Lost Souls

It's November 11th today and whilst in the Netherlands it's considered a day similar to Halloween when kids knock for candy and sing a song - think a mixture between Halloween and Christmas carols LOL - for other places, the UK included, today is Rememberance Day... 
Although World War I was officially over before November 11th, the treaty was officially signed and sealed to come into effect on the 11th day of the 11th month at 11am, so it is customary - although parades tend to be held on the second Sunday of the month - to hold two minute silence at this time to pay respect, give thanks and remember those who lost their lives during war. The thought behind it took on a greater meaning after the end of WWII, and even now people who have lost their lives to protect our freedoms are remembered on this day more than any other... 

The fields of Flanders, where the battles took place and where the blood red poppies grow year on year, we wear poppies as a way to remember them... They shall not grow old, but we shall remember them... 
Even to this day the creatures of Natural Salvation - a set created by the amazing Faunus, that includes the Skulls, Body paint and Floral Attachments I'm wearing - are Ghouls - which coincidentally are the heads made by BeSpoke and can be found as the Ghoul Nyx heads - that stalk through Flanders Fields, to find and guide any lost souls seeking peace...

The Chains of a Demoness

Having to work so much and having so little time off is like a form of torture... Being an adult is a sucky feeling sometimes and I wish I could go back to when I was like 11 or 12 when life seemed simpler... 
Working all the time makes me feel stuck in a rut, like I'm trapped in a cage and have no hope of getting out of it. Sorry if that sounds depressing, and I guess in a way it is, but I needed to vent and isn't that kinda what my rambling space is for... Once again my mood has affected what I'm posting today, and it's definitely been improved by making something pretty... 

Demons were once little angels that have fallen into the darkness, and I'm definitely more of a demon than an angel... I am a good girl, but there are lots of little things that reveal the dark cracks in me... 
I like the dark little demonness inside often feel trapped, chained into the daily drudge of normal life. I'm in a job I love, if there weren't so many crazy people involved, I'm in a happy home where I feel I can be safe and relax, just a shame it's so far away from my family that I miss terribly... Things seem a bit difficult right now, but before long I'll be able to take some time out and spend some time in the UK, recharging my batteries... I need that to break free...

A Hot Coffee Break

Tis the season when things are getting darker and quieter and colder... I come out of work in the cold cheese shop, and the streets are dark and cold... I love nothing more than a nice hot cup of tea, or coffee, or hot chocolate to warm me up... If you've not tried the Dutch Chocolate Milk Brand that is Chocomel, you really are missing out...

So today on my way home from a lovely day out, I stopped to get myself a lovely cup of hot cocoa with a dash of peppermint from the vending machine at the station... Not sure this would ever be a thing in RL anymore, hot drink vending machines on station platforms, but I am sure I remember it when I was a kid in the UK - maybe I'm imagining it though... Not sure I'd want a hot drink from a vending machine on a station platform really, but think about how much it would be a good thing for those in need when things get cold...

Foraging for Mushrooms

I've been at work all day today, but it's been oneof those fabulous Autumn days...The Sun has been shining, and the air is chilled... It's wonderful, and my favourite time of the year because of it really... 
I love going out on long walks in the chilled air, crunching through the fallen leaves, hunting for conkers or pretty leaf colours and I've always felt like I'd love to go on a nature walk to forage for mushrooms... I don't like to eat them, but the idea of foraging for them makes me smile... 

Outside the Cabin in the Woods, I decided that it was time to get a mushroom harvest hunt on... I dressed in something cozy, casual, a gorgeous mushroom knitted cardigan - from the Madi Set in the miss chelsea booth at the soon to end round of equal10 - and a cute little matching beret - which comes with the Pumpkin Hair from Wasabi - to go on my hunt... 
I know that the Amanita Mushrooms are poisonous, and definitely not for eating, but they make such pretty decor items, I NEED some to decorate the house...

Lumiere Obscura & the Cutie Candles

The Halloween magic has gone already and I'm feeling a little bereft, I didn't do much of ANY Halloweening this year, and I'm kinda sad about that... That doesn't mean the magic is totally gone though, there's always going to be some sparkly magic to lighten up the darkest of wintery nights... Sparkles can magic can be found everywhere, they are hiding out waiting to dance into the Christmas lights...

Soon the fae folk will make everything sparkle, but they haven't totally disappeared... I went in search of one today, I needed to see something a little magical, and it wasn't long until I spotted something flitting around the chandeliers of the Belle Ballroom - a backdrop by Synnergy.Tavis by the way - looking more closely it was somethings... A Candelier Fae and her Cutie Candles - from MishMish - that flitted around on magically borrowed wings... Fairy Teas Need Human Magic!

Halloween has been and gone now, and that means, as the great Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey says "It's TIMEEEEEEEEEEE!" Christmas is almost here and we are on a slippery slope to the visit from the big man in red... 
It is time though to calm things down and watch the world go by a little, time to enjoy the Autumn colours and the chill in the air. The best way to do that... Time to settle down with a cuppa tea, as the happy little fae in me takes a break from painting the nature in red and gold...

The fae folk have a magical crystal table set up in the Enchanted Hall, with the soul purpose of it being for making tea and eating yummy things that magically appear... Cakes of all kinds, and croissant sandwiches sit on the mushroom clove crockery, while the tea cups in the set sit waiting to be filled with delicious hot tea or coffee... Most of the things in the Fae kitchen are naturally sourced, but if you look closely you will see that a trip was made to the human world in search of one of the most important things in the world... COFFEE CREAMER - from Junk Food - because no matter what kind of magic the fae have, there will ALWAYS be better coffee creamers in the human world hehe...
