It's run-down halls no longer hosted the classical theatre or opera of it's hey day, now the only inhabitants of this place are the forgotten, the homeless and the left behinds... That is until the Rally to Rescue starts tomorrow when all of the cute little puppies will be collected and cared for... Rally to Rescue is an MC run shopping event that is to raise awareness and donations for a very worthy cause. I am crazy into the Tolkein world of Lord of the Rings and Hobbits... It's something that I grew up loving and find myself both reading and watching over and over and over again... Peter Jackson brought the books to life in a way that I love almost as much as Tolkein's original stories, yet I've always wanted to bring my enjoyment of it alive in SL... A few months ago I was bought a Hobbit House, and then very recently a huge gacha collection was released full of pretty LOTR based creations... WELL that was it, I was done, I needed EVERYTHING and I had to make myself into a character that would fit into the Middle Earth world...
Funny story, when I met my friend and sister Imma translated my SL name, it turned out that Rudhmellowen - which I created from Tolkein Elvish by the way - means 'Lover of Bald Men' and is kinda funny because HellBone shaves his head in RL!! Maybe it was fate?! Anyway, SPELL released a Gacha full of Middle Earth goodies for the current - but soon to close - round of The Chapter Four this month, and I NEEDED EVERYTHING... Theres Hobbitishness, and Elven goodies, Human and Dwarven with a few darker things thrown in too, and it was a set that I NEEDED... Much of it now litters my little Hobbit hole LOL... To let you see some of the finer details that you can't really see in the bigger picture I'm going to share a little close up collage with you...
Then to finish, I want to share something that I LOVE to listen to and watch too... An Official video for the final instalment of Peter's Jackson's Hobbit Movie... You will know by now that I have two totally different sides to my style, sometimes I'm dark and macabre, others I'm lightness and cute... Normally I try to keep the two separate as they are total opposites. Yet sometimes, things are released and the best way to show them off is together - a look a the dark and light...
It was a bit like that when I received some awesome new shoes from Violetility this week... The Bun Shoes come in both sweet and adorable, or dark and punky designs, and me being me I couldn't choose which to show off... So you get both!! To stick with the half and half thing I have going on I wanted the same pair of cute pants, that I could play around in multiple colours of... Thank goodness for the Zombie Suicide Moon Leggings... Argghhhh there are so many pretty things being released at the moment that I don't know where to start... I'm like a kid at Christmas buying and collecting things left right and centre, and I've really been spoilt recently by a friend of mine after his gacha spending spree at the Loot Box... Today I'm tired, like REALLY REALLY tired... I worked the graveyard shift for my SL job for the first time last night to cover for an American colleague of mine that was affected by the Hurricanes. Has anyone else had the problem with Flickr where your pictures are set to the wrong level?! I know that I ranted about this thing before but right now I'm still slowly going through each and every picture AGAIN! I recently started going through my pictures yet again and trying to set the correct settings, they tell you what should be but never give any good examples of how things are set incorrectly... It's bugging the piss out of me... So today I'm saying Screw it, I'm going to do something that should be listed as Restricted because WELL Why not!!!

OK SO I know that I'm a little early with Halloween themed posts but I figure it's half way through September and I'm trying to do things that cheer me up at the moment, and well Halloween and dead Rudh seems to be one of those things, that's why today I'm doing something a little dark and macabre... I want to do something random and pretty today. It's another sad day for me as it's the day that my friend was cremated, but rather than allow myself to dwell in sadness like I have all week I feel it's time to do something fun and happy... Doing a little end of summer cleaning in my hoard at the moment... I've got so many summer pretties stashed away that I feel bad burying them in my wardrobe, I mean no matter the time of year you can wear what you like in SL and not feel cold right? Though since I've amassed so much it's good to have a little clean up, and I finally learnt how to list things on marketplace too - some of my old gacha goodies are being listed there as we speak - but I don't know how I managed to buy so much new stuff this summer, I didn't even realise I was getting things half the time... There has been so much dragging me down recently that I think it's time for me to put on a brave face and start acting like I'm OK again... It's been one thing after another and if I don't change my ways I'm going to become depressed and will never feel totally happy again, and that's not something I want to face - not that I mean to annoy anyone by saying that, I don't mean anything bad to true Depression sufferers... When I hinted at going dancing, Rudh took it to a new level prepping for her very own champagne cocktail induced Burlesque show... Yesterday I had some bad news in my RL, and consequently spent my time curled up in a ball in RL, crying and unable to function for anything much else. This morning after a night's sleep I feel more responsive but the tears are still coming, so I need to take a few minutes to just breathe and take a time out... Pouring my heart out here in my Pseudo-Journal. I found out yesterday that someone I grew up with was tragically killed when he was out surfing off the coast of the UK on Sunday. I know I didn't need to share details but it's better to let it out than hold it in, and I hope you can forgive me for that. He was a strong swimmer, and grew up on the sea with a fisherman for a father and a crazy obsession with surfing, but it goes to show just how dangerous mother nature can be, even when you're so far away from her most destructive forces - my heart goes out to those affected by all of the recent torments of mother nature even more at this time. Yet at my favourite time of year when the part of the world I live in is slowing down and settling into a Winter slumber, I still find myself marvelling at the beauty of it all...
Taking some time out of RL and the sadness that it's brought me, my family and more importantly the family of my friend, I decided to enjoy some of the lush Autumnal Landscapes that are springing up all over the place at the moment... I cannot get enough of the Autumn - or Fall as some might say - I just love everything about it... The colours, the crisp feeling in the air and even the rain!! NonStop is one of those locations that is perfectly Autumn and perfect for a pensive walk with my new buddy, a 'dorable Dane from Jian. After today, he's got a name, he'll be known as Bruce from now on, named for my friend! I picked up my new friend Bruce at the current round of the Arcade, and while I was there spotted these AMAZING jeans from DAMI - thank you to my dear sweet puppy Kal for being able to win them for me, you have the magic touch it seems - which I wore with my new favourite sweater from Paperdoll's. My job in SL has been HARD WORK today... I feel like I've not stopped since I logged into my work avatar and my brain is running on hyper drive. Today's post will contain a little magic, a bit more scarring and a rather necessary - for me anyway - rant about something that's on my mind... I warn you, the prettiest thing about this post is my picture, the rest is going to be rather messy. So I implore you to forgive me and hope that if you're not interested in my ranting ramble that you'll just skip that part and only look at the picture and Outfit chatter, because I'd hate to see you miss out on something awesome! First up a little chat about my pretty picture of today... Rudh developed a nasty rash on her face that turned out to be of the pox variety - thanks to a Twisted Hunt Prize from SongBird. Luckily she was told about a witch in the woods that made SongBird Elixirs which could cure her problems... Now for the rant, but please scroll down if you want to know more about this pretty picture, there's more to follow, I've included an outfit list as always!!! So my rant today is about Flickr and it's safety level process... It's the WORST customer service that I've ever seen from ANY company to date, they are the most unhelpful admin company that I've found and it's bringing me to tears - I will admit. Now granted in the past I've been a bit silly when it comes to not ensuring the correct safety level was set for some of my pictures that I share on Flickr. I am not going to place the entire blame on them, but what I will say is that when it comes to assistance in finding out what I need to do to change that, I'm meeting brick wall after brick wall. Eight or Nine times now I've spent hours and hours working through my Flickr stream, setting the moderate pictures and making sure that anything following their rules was set to the correct level of restriction. I've done it so often now that everything seems to be a blur, and rather than settling for optimistic about things I'm taking a very pessimistic route and being extremely cautious. My MC Sister Lilian even took it upon herself to go through the stream for me and make suggestions that I may have missed. Yet rather than leaving everything Moderate, they decided that now my ENTIRE STREAM should be set to Restricted... Granted I post some pictures with a sexual content, be it obvious or subtle, but there are a lot of picture which could be considered as safe... Like this one for example. Now I am waiting AGAIN to see if I can get it changed back to a moderate setting, but seriously it's draining. I feel like giving up, why am I even bothering sometimes? Yet I know I need to fight on and get this sorted, it's not just a place for me to showcase what I can do anymore, it's a matter of principle. Just a message to anyone reading this, please be careful what you're posting and what level of safety you're setting it too... You could end up playing a game of UGH this sucks like I seem to be doing a lot at the moment!!! That's my rant over, I just wish this magical Elixir would help solve more problems than just Rudh's pox... Autumn is coming and I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY. I love everything about Autumn... The colours, the cooling of the air and even the rainy days, but that doesn't mean I wont take a few last minute trips to the beach in SL... That's the beauty of SL, you can be on the beach getting a tan even on the rainiest of days, and some people might say that Rudh really needs a bit of a tan... It was on this day trip to the beach that I noticed something a little weird, but there's a story to tell, so I hope you're sitting comfortably... In a nutshell, I went to the beach at my sister Solde's house... She's a newly wed, and I thought there would be no one home so why not take the opportunity... Though I was just chillaxing on a sun lounger, bikini and sunnies on about to apply a layer of sunblock when I heard a really weird noise... Being a little unobservant I'd failed to notice the mound of sand beside the sun lounger... BOY did I blush, that poor guy looks more than a little sunburnt somewhere rather delicate!!! I just hope it's not the bridegroom, Max, because I really wouldn't ever be able to look him in the face again...
LOL least that's my story and I'm sticking to it... I will not admit that it's someone I know buried under all that sand, that's for you to guess and for me to know... The Furniture Set used in this picture is actually a past ROMP Item from the amazing store that is Fapple! As I mentioned before, I LOVE this female dominance inspired store, that's just stuffed full of all different kinds of fun props and toys like this. The Set is called "Mistress gets a tan" and at first you won't be able to locate the beach prop, but I promise you, you'll find it if you look for the SURPRISE!!! For my fun day at the beach though, I chose to wear this gorgeously different bikini from [sYs] called Alix in an Ocean Blue colour. Accessorising, which is always important, with a pair of retro style Morgan Glasses from The Little Bat, and a loose pony tail - Excuse Me from Magika if you wanted to know - the look came together well... So now I still need to apply sunblock, the reddening of my cheeks it's sunburn I can promise you that, but I wonder who is buried in the sand?! Should I help dig a poor guy out?! The Dead side of me is happy, the rainbow sparkles side of me is happy, and now I can get on and share some of my other happiness with everyone... Although at the moment I'm making myself a little down-in-the-dumps as I miss being at home in the UK, and am therefore thinking about planning a trip to visit Ol'Blighty. Still least in SL I can unleash some of my crazed Britishness, and am going to do so today while I take a ride on a tube train through London. Of course I'm not just going to sit normally while I ride in the train, OH NO lol, I'm going for a train ride London Punk Style!!!
The Rewind event is almost coming to a close now, you have until September 10th to get in an grab any last minute goodies that you may have missed, but I couldn't help myself taking some time to share in the Punk attitude. I LOVE Punk music, and I love the style of dress too, I wish I was braver in RL or I'd wear more of it myself... In SL though I can and will, so today that's what I'm going to do... As you can see! Some awesome Punk Sunglasses from Ama hidden a little behind the fringe of this fierce looking [LCKY] Hair, ripped stockings and a handy place for her ciggies even, but my most favourite accessorising piece has to be my little friend. My favourite item is this AMAZEBALLS CUREMORE Punk Rat Gal... This is a gacha item along with the stockings and choker that I'm wearing, but she's not a rare item so possibly easier to get!? So let's ride the Underground and sing... GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!! Not the anthem variety... The one with Johnny Rotten! Things have been far too colourful and alive as of late, my inner dead girl is fighting to get out and she want's FREEDOM... So today I've decided to let her loose, even if it's just for a little while, so today's post is all about her... I'm getting excited Halloween is coming, it won't be long now, and although I'm running around shopping my little butt off at the Arcade Yardsales, I'm also busy working on setting up my room for the Gators MC Annual Halloween Maze. There's lots to do for that still, and I CANNOT WAIT... Halloween isn't just a holiday for me, it's a way of life and I LOVE all things dark and macabre. So whereas some people might worry that they look a little dead, for me it's a normal thing LOL...
I got inspired to be a dead girl again by two of my favourite stores... Vinyl made this Gacha release outfit called Annabelle, and this grunge dress is the bloody white version and it can be won via the Pocket Gacha event. Pocket Gacha is a new kind of event, where you play the gacha games via a HUD - I'm not entirely sure how it works, but for more information I'd suggest that you take a look at the Pocket Gacha HQ. I wrapped her arms in Patient Bandages and her poor eyes - from CUREMORE - were protected a little by the Bandage Painful Eyes from PSYCHO.Byts. Though I'm not entirely sure hammering nails into her head to hold it up was my smartest idea. The blood trickled from her lips... At that point I thought oh dammit, and added a little more blood hammering a necklace nail into her chest, and as that bled a little I let her take a walk through the darkness at PANDEMONIUM. The darkness in her is escaping, even now I'm beginning to feel better. HellBone is off in RL, I'm home alone, and I've decided to take this time to relax and unwind, some quality me time!!! YAY!! It's been a fairly tough few weeks, I've not really been feeling anything like myself. I admit that I've been feeling depressed but I really don't want to keep harping on about it, so I'm going to take some me time and hopefully come out of it feeling better.
I'll admit that I took this picture a few weeks ago, but it's taken me until now to get around to editing and posting it... The Gators had had a fun night with our relatively new extended family - Ghost Bullies MC - and yes it was Paintball, however did you guess... Well I had to go take a bath, because even though I cannot play those games - they make me motion sick - I happened to be caught in the line of fire... Thanks to Izzie's by the way, for the visual representation... I slipped on an oh-so-sexy bath hat - complete with hair from Tableau Vivant at Collabor88 that closes on September 6th - and grabbed my cute little rubber duck, before slipping into my overly large Apple Fall bathtub and enjoyed a slice of heaven!!
