To herald the start of Spring, the beautifully Spring themed events are starting and there is an abundance of all things pretty and spring-like pouring into the dark Wintery corners of Second Life. One of those, may or may not, have been called in by the witches of Second Life... It's the welcoming of Spring at the Gardens of Ostara's Altar...
While I was playing with the goodies from Ostara's Altar, I found myself being drawn out into the mystical wilds of The Outer Garden to feel the nature of spring...
Some how the magic took control of me and the Spring crept into my dark little dead doll heart...

Today is one of those gorgeous Spring days! I will always be an Autumn girl but I have to admit that Spring comes a very close second. All the life starting to appear, the flowers in bloom and the sounds of some very happy birds in the garden makes me feel like a very happy girl inside. I'm not really a fan of sunshine - when it get's too hot I get cranky lol - but Spring sunshine is warming and gentle and it feels nice on the skin after a long Winter of grey.
This month, until April 5th, we're celebrating the coming of the Spring with a special event dedicated to Ostara's Altar... Bring on the flowers, bring on the magic, bring on the new beginnings and the start of something beautiful!
The Ostara's Altar event is still up and running, bringing together some brilliant designers with a cacophony of colour, magic and femininity that welcomes the Spring season. I've been in love with so many pretty things, that the inner girlie girl has been screaming to come out...
Today I want to share with you some of the pretties!! Some of the pretties for accessorizing a Springtime goddess look!
Let's start with the biggest and most obvious item and work our way from there... The Amarillis Headpiece is one of two things in this picture by the store Zibska - the second being the awesome Aviva Eyemakeup which is a hunt prize for the event. Now pink is normally not my colour, but in this case I couldn't resist getting my pink on, especially when it combined with the vibrant blue of the eyeshadow. These colours were reflected well in the somewhat hidden but still available to see Moon Child Horns from Cubic Cherry - who also made the Nemi Eyes, which are the stores hunt prize! I let the colour flow through just a little more in the gorgeous Astara "Beauty Within" Collar and then spiced up the background with a little more pink in the form of Spyralle's Primrose Votive Petites.
For now, that's enough pink! Anymore and my friends will be checking my pulse to make sure I'm OK, but when Ostara calls for pink, Ostara calls for pink!

Another event has opened this week and it's not so dark but a lot more pretty and full of spring Easter happiness. There's an abundance of magic, pastels and softness that makes this event so pretty.
Ostara's Altar is a Dark Passions Event, an event so full of whimsy that it's the perfect Spring location for any pretty fairytale goddess...
So today I'm going to share some of the pretties, let's call it a look of the day for Ostara...
What a pretty to start with huh? Isn't this dress pretty! I love the colours and the softness to it, it looks like something straight out of Arwen's closet and it looks like it's been made from fine silk! It's a dress from Dreaming Thicket called Morning Glory and this is the Lily coloured version, although there are about 5 different colour combinations to choose from.
Before the event gets too much into full swing, and my inner goddess truly reveals herself though it's a good idea to cleanse the aura, she's going to sage herself - thanks to a Smudging Sage from lunacy, and then indulge in a few early Easter treats.
There's Easter themed treats all over this adorable little altar - maybe it's not for Ostara though, it's definitely for me - Roawenwood set out eggs and flowers, Spyralle provided the tea and Paper Moon even let these Wildflower Wabbits hop on in to bring some springtime sunshine into the darkened room...

So, in case you'd missed it, Trick or Treat Lane is now open and ready for exploring... There's lots of things to see and do, as well as lots of great treats to collect along the way!
Creepy lil Rudh is raving about it to everyone... Today she even made the perilous journey through the dark corridors to share the news with the creepy old lady that remains locked in the attic. They lock her away for your safety, you know, she's too evil to be released into normal society and yet Rudhie cannot help but take care of her... Creepy family is still family!
There's a picture of the old lady in her younger days hanging on the wall in the corridor, just before her locked bedroom door - and yes they keep the door locked with chains as well as two locks on the door itself... The picture was captured as a Momento Mori, by the Oubliette team, and it's a very realistic portrait! Luckily her eyes are covered, it was the eyes that shared her true evil nature...
The evil magic that fills this house causes so many amazing things to happen, like Rudh being able to carry one candle as many float with her to light the dark corridors - thanks to the Witching Hour Pose from Extra at Trick or Treat Lane!
I have to say though I love the eccentricity of this creepy little Rudh's style... That adorable, almost Victorian style Presley Dress - from Momoko - paired with these crazy Bone Goggles - from Spyralle, both available at Trick or Treat Lane until November 2nd - is such an eye-catching look, it's such a shame she hides in the dark house and misses the light of day!
Be careful though if you visit her on Trick or Treat Lane... There's much more to the seemingly sweet, lonely girl hiding in this house!

I love when I get things that allow my mind to wander to far away fairytale, imagination lands...
There have been a few things lately that I have simply had to have for this purpose, and this purpose alone... Sometimes you find something and it's so perfect for an idea in your head that you will do anything to get it! Normally that's OK but when it's a gacha, oh dear am I in trouble!
It was exactly the case with this AMAZEBALLS Racing Snail, from the Hextraordinary Garden Snail Collection available at the current round of The Gacha Garden. The common pets in this series are awesome, either companion or wandering snails, but these are teeny tiny, and I had to fight for one of the big ones, the racing snails!!
Once I had the snail though I needed a perfect look for it, and what would be better for riding a snail than a Fairy perhaps... It was at that point that I remembered the cool new release from 1313 MockingBird Lane, which was also released at a newly opened gacha event - The Fantasy Gacha Carnival, which is the Ealsaid outfits - worn in brown here but available in three other colour sets too - and that seemed perfect for the attire of a Fairy Shaman!

It's coming, the future is coming... Soon we will be in another year, it's right around the corner... 2016 is to be the year of the Monkey, and it is a Leap year... I'm just hoping that it is a little more prosperous than the last one...
Though while we wait for a new year to start - and therefore are looking to the future a little bit - if you're bored, why not try a little bit of hunting?! Treasure Hunting I mean, not with guns and stuff... The Stuff My Inventory Team are back with a Futuristic Hunt, filled with goodies that would make even Marty McFly jealous!
So I need to confess that I am a little late with sharing the details of this hunt, it runs until January 10th but due to the craziness that has been the holiday season, I was very much focused on the here and now rather than the future! You still have time to hunt, do not fear, you have not missed anything!!!
Although my outfit is cute, it's not hunt related - aside from the fact that I was going for a Rudhish version of Marty McFly when I pulled it on - so I will not chat about that too much, but there are a lot of things that need to be shared...
Such as the HUGE Sesartes Hologram Halo from La Jolie Designs, or the super pretty Jewelled DJ Headset from Spyralle, or even the texture that I used on the wall behind me which is a Space Station Texture from Timeless Textures, but I have to say that one of my ultimate favourite items from this hunt has to be the Repose McFLY Pose Props... The Hover Board is the prop for this pose and you get it is a few different standing positions, but I love it, I always liked the Back to the Future Movies, and now thanks to this pose I can be Marty on his hover board!!! YAY!!!

I love taking photos, it's definitely one of my favourite past times and there is no better way for me to relax than by working out a look I want for a photo then seeing it come to life in "print"... SL photography for me is becoming way more than a past time, it's becoming more of an obsession... I take pictures of what I love and hopefully share that love with you, and I get to experiment with things that I never would have even looked at before...
One of the things that I have started doing is looking more at prizes from hunts... I used to LOVE being a hunter, I did every hunt that I could to grab as many freebie or cheapie awesome goodies as I could, but I grew tired of it, and only recently re-discovered a love of hunting...
The one that is inspiring me at the moment is The Photographers Hunt. I mentioned it before, but I cant help playing with a few more of the awesome prizes, and can promise you that this will no doubt be my last either!
These are some more prizes from The Photography Hunt... Another background that has been textured using a gorgeous pattern from Spyralle - this time in an Unquiet Water Pattern...
This time I was working on the post photo shoot phase of photography, I wanted to share with you the editing process hehe, and yes OK editing SL pictures is not done like this often BUT this Home Laboratory is the perfect prop for any photograph making genius. Don't miss this at 22769, it's a HUNT PRIZE!! One thing I should mention though is that it is not scripted with poses, but there are so many available on the hunt, like this one from [Black Tulip] that you won't need to worry about that too much!
There is just one more hunt prize here that needs an honourable mention, and that is the Press Hat from Duh! It's a great unisex item, that I pulled on over some curly Magika hair, but it would look awesome on the guys too!
As you can tell, I'd been acting like an undercover paparazzi at a very swanky affair, and I didn't even have time to change out of my glitzy outfit! The dress, on the subject of glitz, is from the store epoch but its name is Glitz hehe... I'd dressed it up a little with a pair of thigh high Regency boots from BAX and some of the most gorgeous Earthstones Laraine Diamond Jewellery, which was a part of my bridesmaids uniform for Solde's wedding recently...
I wowed the crowd at the party but 'hmmm' I wonder if I can wow the people more with my photos hehe...

As a blogger, there are certain perks to the job... I'm sure you may have realised this by now... But I ALWAYS feel way too shy to apply for things, and often when I am given the chance to become a part of a blogging team I find myself a little nervous about the looks I pull together and the things I say in my blog journal... So when this new hunt came up, and I was given the opportunity to be a part of the team I knew I would have to create something a little special... I LOVE what I created for my first hunt based post hehe...
The Photographers Hunt - Stuff my Inventory Hunt - starts today and runs until October 31st with a brilliant theme dedicated to the Photographers and wannabe Photographers out there... Poses, Props, Furniture and Décor dominate the theme, and with each prize only costing a mere 5L there is so much worth going to seek in this hunt!
This photo features a couple of the gifts, but there will be more of these to come, just to warn you hehe... I've never talked about a texture before but if you look closely at the background, behind all the Rudhish stuff you will see a gorgeous swirly pattern... This is in fact a hunt prize - well part of anyhow - from Spyralle, that offers some gorgeous but simple textures which could be useful for a HUGE variety of things! The pose I am using is also a Photographers Hunt prize, from HopScotch this time... The Paper Garden is a gorgeous prop with a few poses to chose from, and although you cannot see it in this picture - well not clearly anyhow - the whole thing is made from Cardboard hehe...
The outfit that I chose to wear is something simple - a skirt that is part of a set from SAKIDE which you can grab at The Fantasy Collective, and an older but favourite shirt of mine from Razor, that I accessorised with a pretty Jewelled Hand of Fatima Necklace from Maxi Gossamer... Yet I want to mention the hair I'm wearing here too real fast... This is an Adoness style called Loki. It's not a brand new release BUT there is a hunt running through the Adoness store at the moment and all of the hair prizes have been specially recoloured to limited edition colours... If you love that alternative, half head style look, then you will not want to miss the Adoness Hair Shedding Hunt!

Still the entire point for that overly dramatic and somewhat pitiful performance is that I wanted to let you know that HORROR HAUTE MAY IS ALMOST HERE!! I wanted to, as was decreed by the bosses of the event, and as we tried last month with LOTS of success, let you in on the secret which is that the theme of the upcoming round is VOODOO!! YAY!! There are so many awesome Voodooish things that you will NEED to check the event out!
Just as an F.Y.I however, the things in the photograph above are not available at Horror Haute but come from buried deep in my hoard... If you're like me you will be itching to get your hands on something new, so I will have to stop talking about it or I will make myself insane hehe... This weekend was brilliant, HellBone was out in RL playing with his BaCa buddies, the MC was peaceful and happy and I was able to find some time to play by myself!!! It's times like this that I cherish most in SL... Don't get me wrong I LOVE being with my SL friends and family, but when I have a moment to myself, that's when I start to get a little creative! I dig into my playbox and find all kinds of interesting things that sit waiting patiently until I am ready to use them...
These things are some of them, they are things that I have been waiting on for the right moment... This was one of those moments... The time I could be alone, and call upon the Dark Arts.
This outfit from OrsiniRed at the latest round of The Fantasy Collective was something that I wouldn't normally have chosen, but I for some reason found myself gravitating towards it... Maybe it was the lure of the Dark Arts?!
While wearing this outfit I added a gorgeous necklace from KOSH - that was released as a past Lazy Sunday Item - called Zuvuya in a soft gold colour to match the straps, but something strange started to happen. I had an itch that I needed to scratch... Upon looking in a mirror, the itch on my forehead had revealed a jewel from which a tattoo was spreading over my face in a Spyralle pattern. This made me fit perfectly into the Dark Arts Genre!! My eyes even began to take on a Space - or mysterious - feel, that made me look something akin to a Stargazer - possibly because they are the Space Eyes from Stargazer Creations though lol - and I fully transformed into something dark and magical!
Dressed like this, I went exploring, seeking out some of SL's darker destinations... I found the most adorably dark little club - set in the theme of a dark carnival - TheFreakShowRadio club is a place that should not be missed, and I hope when I go back there will be more people present to talk to!!! It looks like a really fun place to hang out... They even have a corner in the church that is perfect for practicing the Dark Arts...

That's right, as of right now, this is my last little look at Horrorfestive 2014. There may be more to come, and I can tell you right now that Horrorfestiveness will be popping up in other things that I am working on, but this will possibly be the last time that it a post's soul purpose is the darker side of the festive season lol...
I also felt a little naughty, because well due to the Horrorfestive, I've kinda been neglecting other things... The Witching Hour for example is here, and rocking and rolling, and I got lost in a festive dark place!
NOT ANYMORE!!! I took a walk at the Horrorfestive event location and was very soon overcome by a strange sensation... It didn't feel like burning but it was HOT!!
It wasn't hot due to the outfit - although this SAKIDE Fuzz Leather Outfit is pretty hot - but there was something heating me up around my head!
I had found a strange [TfAtN] Blessing Necklace - which you can pick up for yourself at The Witching Hour - and while I was walking through the snow at the Horrorfestive, things started to heat up. Within seconds it felt like a shock of lightning passed through me, I had no idea what was going on, but the heat circled my head and licked up my face. The Daemon Lightning Collar and 'I See The Light Mask' can be purchased from Spyralle at the event, in case you're wondering!
I do not know quite how but a halo had appeared, the [TfAtN] Elemental Halo was calling in the fire, and branding me with a SongBird's Blessing!
