Yesterday I realised that I've become far too much of a hermit... I needed to get out and explore Second Life like I used to, so I pulled my big girl panties on and braved it, stepping out of the house and leaving the familiar places behind. It was something I'm glad I did, as I managed to find something really, really gorgeous... A little slice of paradise at the Pandora Resort...
You arrive via a plane landing point, but when you walk down following the path you're transported into a gorgeous spa-like environment, and from there on it becomes jungle and it's simply gorgeous! I would definitely recommend taking a plane flight to visit this place... It was a pretty place for a pretty outfit, but I definitely think that I will be going back here to relax. It's a HOT time here in Holland at the moment, the temperature is UP, UP, UP and I'm melting. I've been a biker chick in SL now for a long time, over 5 years of my SL have been dedicated to the Gators MC and the Biker Lifestyle. I have been all kinds of things but have not been dead me for a while now... Yet when I saw an awesome mask with a truly deadly feel I couldn't resist letting my inner dead girl take over. I missed her, and she missed being allowed out to play.
The Skull Mask comes from Bamse at the new round of Shiny Shabby, and although the gacha has many colours I was so excited to get the gore tone from the machine! Now for something totally different, a colour that you very rarely see on me - though I guess you see it more than my nemesis colour Purple LOL - but for some reason today I was drawn to pink... I guess you my call it my Pink look of the day... One had to happen sometime after all, and I will in fact blame it on the dress colour I chose to play with today. It's all the dresses fault...
Since it's a look of the day kinda thing I'm just gonna get straight on with the what I'm wearing kinda stuff and avoid the fact that MOST of the look is pink! Today is a good day to be a Brit. I'm not usually patriotic but the Royal Wedding was pretty and I'm proud of the fact that Britain can put on a good show for the world with something as awesome as a wedding... Yet I'm not going to dwell on the Royals, it's not my thing lol... Instead I decided to try my hand at a little more furniture photography... It's not something I'm good at and I'm working on it. I wish I could use shadows, but I'm working on saving up to be able to do that too LOL... Still if I don't try I won't know right?! Have to try to get better, right?!
Today I decided to play around with a set that has been released for the soon to close 6 Republic Event. Now for the rant... I am getting so fed up of people telling me flat out lies... SURE if you're harbouring a secret that's fine, but don't tell me something and then tell someone else - who you know is likely to tell me - something different. I hate being lied to... It's one of those things that bugs me the most. I mean little white lies I can bear but if I ask you something important and you swear blind that it's something different, and THEN I find out I was right in the first place, please don't expect me to be sweetness and light about it. I truly hate confrontation, and I'm not keen on drama like most people, but lying seems much worse. In a Second Life family, like the Gators MC, it can be nigh on impossible to keep things hidden, and the Chinese whispers can cause more damage than they are worth... I just want people to bear that in mind, remember the fact that you choose your family in SL, and stop causing harm to those you claim to love... Anyway onto the outfit, and more so the pose, because without them this picture would have been totally different lol... I decided to wear this outfit from Valentina E, that I bought at a recent round of FLF, and it needed to be in a classroom... It reminded me so much of my old school uniform that no where else would work hehe. Yet it's the pose that warrants most of the credit for this picture. Dark Magic... Something that I have recently thought of as that which shouldn't be dabbled in... I know a number of RL White Witches but saw first hand a reaction of one of my friends when she met someone that practised something darker, and boy was it an uncomfortable feeling... Yet it's the dark magic that always allures me... It's that dark magic which makes a girl feel powerful and devious, so when I'm lured to the dark side I tend to let myself go there freely - unless it's the Star Wars dark side then it's always under extreme duress LOL... Deep in a cave, Rudh has been welcomed as a high priestess into the Dark Magic Clan... An epic battle rages on between the Dark Magic and the Blood Magic, and it's going to be nasty, especially now we have a little of the Blood Magic's Magic!!!
My mind can so easily go into over drive when I'm being creative it seems so it's not my fault that when I'm handed a set like this amazing Dark Magic Collection, my mind runs away with me... It's a lovely sunny Monday today, and although it's evening, it's still rather warm. It's too warm for me and the summer hasn't even started, but this time of year does bring one thing to mind that I LOVE the fact that Sunflowers are coming out! I've always loved Sunflowers, and they are my favourite of all flowers and I guess because they are so sunny and happy and friendly...
The sunflowers used in this pose are actually a pose prop from Image Essentials called a Field of Flowers, and they seemed so pretty when I rezzed them I couldn't resist spending time playing with them. I had to accessorise to match the flowers, and luckily for me yellow is my favourite colour. I found a dress from [I<3F] with a colour change hud and some adorable BOOM sunflowers for my hair... It was a pretty combination and a great day! I was even able to find the most adorable matching tattoo... I've had one of those drastically busy mornings at the Cheese Store today, and now I am feeling more than a little worn out... I could do with a nap that lasts until tomorrow, but I have other things that need doing so I have to try to keep myself awake! I love when I get things that allow my mind to wander to far away fairytale, imagination lands... There have been a few things lately that I have simply had to have for this purpose, and this purpose alone... Sometimes you find something and it's so perfect for an idea in your head that you will do anything to get it! Normally that's OK but when it's a gacha, oh dear am I in trouble!
It was exactly the case with this AMAZEBALLS Racing Snail, from the Hextraordinary Garden Snail Collection available at the current round of The Gacha Garden. The common pets in this series are awesome, either companion or wandering snails, but these are teeny tiny, and I had to fight for one of the big ones, the racing snails!! Once I had the snail though I needed a perfect look for it, and what would be better for riding a snail than a Fairy perhaps... It was at that point that I remembered the cool new release from 1313 MockingBird Lane, which was also released at a newly opened gacha event - The Fantasy Gacha Carnival, which is the Ealsaid outfits - worn in brown here but available in three other colour sets too - and that seemed perfect for the attire of a Fairy Shaman! I'm a fighter... I know I am, I just need to find it buried way down deep inside. There are all sorts of things that bring this fighter out of me... Pain for those I love being the number one reason you'll get me mad, but also things I witness around me in the world. By nature I'm not a very confident person, I run from confrontation and even though I'm not proud of it, I admit that I can't always stand up for myself! It's time for me to start being a fighter... One thing that I find always makes me get into the mood, no matte what mood I want to get myself into is music... So on a day like today when I want to get myself pumped up for a fight, I reach for a little Five Finger Death Punch to get myself in the mood!! Today is one of those days, I have a new favourite song, and it's bringing out my inner feisty side. So I'm posing like a champ today... Today I want to do something pretty and found the perfect idea in a set of poses released by NANTRA for the new round of The Liaison Collaborative. The theme of this month's TLC is the very glamorous 1920's Art Deco style, and NANTRA released a set of poses that are inspired by the very gorgeous Ziegfeld Follies - for more information please check here - and of course although I've modernised it and as I say "Rudhified" it, the poses still exude drama, elegance and a hint of sexiness!

Today I'm in a kinda "Fuck Off"mood... I am tired and sore, and the best part is that I feel like I'm coming down with a cold. I have a terribly sore throat and feel really sleepy! It's not a fun feeling, although it does explain why I'm not my usual perky happy self! I hate colds but when the world is starting to warm up and we're heading into Summer, it seems much much worse, I hate being too hot and stuffed full of snot LOL... I'm so glad to be home from work today, I feel pretty icky and tired and sore... But it's always nice to come back home. Rudh has an a new home! I should say ANOTHER new home... This one makes me happy... I've had a love of the Hobbit since I read it, and for a while I was super excited to have my own Hobbit home. Yet it was just too big, so I took it down, BUT now there has been a new release that's just freaking awesome... A Hobbit style home for a modern little Rudhie!
Candle and Cauldron made this amazing little "Burrow Den" a while ago and I've been so bad and slow about getting it set up and taking pictures.
