Searching for the Spirits

It's been a bit of a busy day here today, as HellBone and I are working hard to get things ready for this year's Dark Adventure. We're starting in the middle of October this year so we have a couple more weeks, but it's very busy getting the event set up and the theme ready... More of that will be revealed very soon... Right now we're just busy getting things sorted... Today was a task day that I don't enjoy much... 

My least favourite task when it comes to getting the Halloween events is rounding up the spookies... HellBone says we need haunts to come and play in our event, and that means I need to go out and help him get them from some of the creepiest places in Second Life... Today I set up the Ghost Hunting equipment in the Old Basement - which happens to be the current group gift from Synnergy.Tavis - to go in search of the Crooked Shadows in dark...

Magic of the First Flutters of Snow

Whilst out in the garden raking up the falling leaves, I discovered a new hole in the ground that wasn't there the day previous... It might have come up because of the ground works they are doing around our house lately, but it seemed pretty fresh, and I noticed something poking out of the dirt... 

When I looked more closely, there was an old looking book poking out of the ground... My curiosity got the better of me, I abandoned the piles of leaves - which are a cute release from kotte at Kustom9 - and sat with this book that appeared to be something of a Grimoire - from Tardfish - that once I opened the cover started to swirl it's pages around me... 
The air started to cool, and flakes started to flutter through the sky, then I heard the giggling... Some of the logs that were laying in the grounds just happened to start moving, the Stumpy - from MishMish also at Kustom9 - Pals were ALIVE and dancing in the falling leaves and fluttering snowflakes...

Tracking down the Ghosties

Dark Adventures has closed for 2022 and that means that we have a REALLY big problem on the sim right now... These spookies have made the dark places their home for the past month and now we have to work hard to get rid of them... It's not something that I am desperate to do, I HATE making them homeless, but we need to clear them out so that we can start working to create a super new experience and a brand new adventure... 

Before we can get rid of them, I need to find them... Unfortunately that means I have to wander around through the dark empty halls to find them... Luckily I have my collection of Ghost Hunting Equipment - from HopScotch thanks to a past gacha collection - I'll walk around and call out "Hey there ghosties, Hey there spookies, Hey there demons" - and search using a pose from -Extra- that they had provided for an awesome event prize - and maybe if I'm lucky, I'll find the ones that don't wanna go away...

The Magic of a Mirror

I'm home from work, and have had such a long day so I'm going to be slipping into my comfiest jammies, with a cup of tea and the chance to just relax. I think that perhaps I will become a sofa vegetable, the TV will be my new best friend this evening and I KNOW I've been recording a myriad of Ghost Hunting tv shows and since they are my guilty pleasure, perhaps I will spend the evening glued to them... I am addicted to them, I'd LOVE to go on a ghost hunting trip myself, although I'm not sure I could handle being in a real haunted place, calling the spirits out... 

I imagine that I'd love to explore some kind of weird, abandoned, old Victorian House - a backdrop from KuddelMuddel - and I'd be armed to the teeth with all of the Ghost Hunter Equipment - an old gacha set from HopScotch - but I have the feeling I'd still be very on edge if I saw or heard anything whilst I was there... 
As I wandered down the halls, looking and listening in the dark to see if I could find myself a spooky or two, I caught sight of myself in the most beautiful mirror. I couldn't resist a quick "Mirror Mirror" - which is actually the name of the mirror released from Krescendo at the current round of Fetish Fair until September 25th - but the shock I got when I looked into the glass was huge. I could feel my hair moving - a wig from barberyumyum - and my hunting buddies said that there was nothing around me, yet clear as day, looking back at me in the mirror a bunch of Impish Minions - from Hextraordinary - causing trouble...

Swimming with the Sushi Fish

There are new rules in Holland as things are beginning to get worse again, meaning there have to be stricter rules... I have such strong feeling that I want to get myself away from here and run somewhere that's totally free of this pandemic... I've decided to let myself drift into a fantasy world, one that's affected by my stomach and a strong desire for dinner... 
Sushi perhaps?! 

My dreams led me to the Mystical Isle, where I decided to try and swim to find some new mermaid friends... I guess that would be where my hunger kicked in, and where I decided that I was craving sushi. I ended up a little delicious and in my dreamlike state, I found myself feeling like a sushi - and I can really be a sushi by wearing the Ananas from the I am Sushi Set!

Rescue Me from the Shadow Man

As it's nearly Halloween, I decided one dark night to head out on my own to do a little ghost hunting. Armed with some of the tools I'd collected after watching one too many episodes of Ghost Adventures, I walked a little too far, ending up in a dark and seemingly abandoned sewer. It seemed like the perfect place to bust out my tools and hunt some ghosts...
Until I woke something up in the dark, and found myself getting scared and lost in the dark tunnels... Amazingly I found a spot where there were just a few bars of cellphone signal, a place I could put out a call for help, waiting there cowering in the dark until my hero came to save me... 
My hero isn't the cape wearing kind... My hero is in a baseball cap and muddy jeans... My hero is my Daddy!

Lately my daddy is acting as my blogging inspiration at the moment... I say inspiration but actually it's more like bullying because basically my blogging mojo stopped working and he was standing there pushing me to try to get things done, though I guess that's what a parent's job is sometimes! Chopper has been like a Daddy to me for a long time now, and yes it's proper parenting none of this BDSM stuff. He's one of my closest friends and I wouldn't be able to do SL without him anymore, he's even good at rescuing me from the ghosties... Just ask Zak Bagans... No one messes with Bluto - right Chopper?!
So I had this pose from Secret Poses - which is available at The Men Jail Event - and when we went looking for a setting at Backdrop City, this Paparazzi "Moody Sewer" jumped out... With a few added touches like the garbage and leaves, and the addition of a Shadow Figure lurking in the halls, the stage was set. Throw on a little mud, and make me look scared, and it's Daddy to the rescue!!!

There's a Good Dog!

Time to get my relax on. It's Saturday Night and I've had a busy day at work in RL, but I want to just kick back and relax, sharing a picture of something. It's been a few days since I had a chance to blog, I don't know why but my Mojo has been lacking somewhat and I need to get back on the band wagon... SO today I'm going to share something both cute and kinky...  

It's both adorable and kinkiness that was started by Fapple, and saw me deciding it was time for a game of puppy... It's not something that I'm normally into, but this adorable little Puppy Love Dog House - from Fapple - made me feel a need... Baby Does Dishes!

I've been thinking, I WANT to be naughty and today is the perfect day to do it... I'm going to kick start the weekend with a day of debauchery. I bought something at a naughty event recently that made me feel a need to have some naughty fun in the kitchen... 
After all the fun took place, my Daddy made me do the dishes... I've never had so much fun doing the dishes... 

Daddy dressed me in my usual pretty Biddy Apron, he gave me a special new Gag it was a gift from a recent shopping trip to the ROMP Event - the event closes tomorrow just an FYI in case you want one of these gags too - from HopScotch... My Birthright as a Ghost hunter

Aside from the fact that October is officially AWESOME, there are things that always make me excited about this month... One of those things is the fact that one of the channels Hellbone and I watch on TV runs lots of programmes about Ghost Hunting... They always make me laugh and I cannot get enough of them, so when ID channel started Ghostober I knew I was in for a good giggle! 
Another awesome thing about this month is that the Pulse Games open... I look forward to these every year, and this year it was a Birthright... 

This year's "Birthright" Pulse game really didn't disappoint. They are so well planned and everything has that creepy edge that is perfect for Halloween, I thoroughly enjoyed doing it with my bestieface...
I wanted to use the location to promote it without trying to give too much away... So I went ghost hunting and had a rather shocking experience...
I had a camera that I'd picked up from Action at the last round of The Arcade, and some ghost hunting tools like this Presence Reader from HopScotch, and thought I was ready for whatever I'd come across... I was WRONG...
Standing in the darkness, looking through the viewfinder of the camera I felt a very strange sensation, it was like there was something playing with my hair... I couldn't quiet work it out... I will have to analyse the footage and see what we caught whilst ghost hunting...

What's That?

I know that some people are able to make big changes to their Avatars or Surroundings fairly easily, but I am not one of those people. It's taken me a while to even contemplate the idea of changing my home in SL, and although I LOVE being able to decorate a new place, the thought of it is kinda daunting too... Still it's a thought in my mind and it's beginning to bubble away so we shall see LOL... 
I wish it was something easy to do, something easy like the little visitor that has decided to start Mountain Raising in my garden! 

Strange angle for a photo I thought but then again I wanted to be able to capture the feeling that Rudh is really peering down at the Molehill like "What's this?"

Ghost Hunting on Halloween

Good Morning and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! My favourite day of the year is finally here and I'm very excited, I have some fun things planned in SL - as Dutch people don't really seem to get into the Halloween Spirit - and will no doubt be forced to watch something horrible on TV with HellBone LOL... It may end up being something a little more like this though...

It makes me laugh that on Halloween, I'm actually dressed pretty normally! On the one day of the year when it's encouraged to be dead and bloody looking, I'm dressed in jeans and a sweater LOL, I guess for me the blood and gore is less of a Halloween costume and more of something I really enjoy doing so on the day that it's expected I'm like "Nahhhhh, I'll have a cup of tea and watch a ghost hunting show on TV!"
This post today is kind of a twofer... I'm talking about Halloween and my RL plans, whilst actually being kinda cunning and sharing some awesome goodies from the Geeks'N'Nerds Fair with you! All of the ghost hunting equipment on display here is in fact a part of the Ghost Hunter Equipment Gacha collection at the event, from the brilliant store HopScotch! I got all geeked out as soon as I saw this set, and knew that I'd be doing some ghost hunting - it's kind of a fandom of mine I guess, if it can be counted as something that has a fandom to it?! I watch a lot of the different shows but my favourite has to be the Ghost Asylum with the Tennessee Wraith Chaser boys - maybe it's the cute Southern accents, or the fact that they are attempting to catch the ghosts, but I never miss an episode!

Weapons of the Angels at Geeks'N'Nerds

As the Geeks'N'Nerds Fair is running, I have been thinking about fandoms... I will admit to you that I was a little concerned when I applied to join the blogging team for this event that it would end up being all Dr. Who, or Harry Potter or Game of Thrones, but I am actually happy to admit that it's not! There is something for everyone at this fair and I even found a few things that were perfect for some of my own geeky fandoms... 
I am a massive fan of Supernatural! With a penchant for Sam - Dean's nice but I dunno I just cant get enough of Sam LOL - I was more than a little excited by one of the things I found in the Violetility collection! 

I had to get my Supernatural Hunter on, and it's all because of the tiny little dagger that I hold in my hand... Some people may recognise it and have a moment so squealing like I did, for others that do not, Violetility have made an Angel Sword - the weapon of choice for the Winchesters when killing any Angel! 
I was soooooo excited I had to jump in my Metallicar - made by HellBone in his store Hogs & Cart Wheels - and drive around the roads on our sim having a Supernatural Moment LOL... I stopped after a while but had to snap a little picture, posing using one of the Vanity Pose Poses for the Geeks'N'Nerds Fair and with some of the Ghost Hunter Equipment - from HopScotch - I went on a hunt of my own... I just hope that I am brave enough to find whatever it is that it out there in the swamp!

Stuff my Inventory with Photographers Things

As a blogger, there are certain perks to the job... I'm sure you may have realised this by now... But I ALWAYS feel way too shy to apply for things, and often when I am given the chance to become a part of a blogging team I find myself a little nervous about the looks I pull together and the things I say in my blog journal... So when this new hunt came up, and I was given the opportunity to be a part of the team I knew I would have to create something a little special... I LOVE what I created for my first hunt based post hehe... 

The Photographers Hunt - Stuff my Inventory Hunt - starts today and runs until October 31st with a brilliant theme dedicated to the Photographers and wannabe Photographers out there... Poses, Props, Furniture and Décor dominate the theme, and with each prize only costing a mere 5L there is so much worth going to seek in this hunt!
This photo features a couple of the gifts, but there will be more of these to come, just to warn you hehe... I've never talked about a texture before but if you look closely at the background, behind all the Rudhish stuff you will see a gorgeous swirly pattern... This is in fact a hunt prize - well part of anyhow - from Spyralle, that offers some gorgeous but simple textures which could be useful for a HUGE variety of things! The pose I am using is also a Photographers Hunt prize, from HopScotch this time... The Paper Garden is a gorgeous prop with a few poses to chose from, and although you cannot see it in this picture - well not clearly anyhow - the whole thing is made from Cardboard hehe... 
The outfit that I chose to wear is something simple - a skirt that is part of a set from SAKIDE which you can grab at The Fantasy Collective, and an older but favourite shirt of mine from Razor, that I accessorised with a pretty Jewelled Hand of Fatima Necklace from Maxi Gossamer... Yet I want to mention the hair I'm wearing here too real fast... This is an Adoness style called Loki. It's not a brand new release BUT there is a hunt running through the Adoness store at the moment and all of the hair prizes have been specially recoloured to limited edition colours... If you love that alternative, half head style look, then you will not want to miss the Adoness Hair Shedding Hunt!

Horrorfestive has hit close to home...

Horrorfestive 2014 is here, I've mentioned this before, and this won't be the last time I say so either...
We're raising money for Munchflower Zaius - formally of Nomine - as she has been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. On a personal note, I will say that this has hit home with me a little deeper for me... One of my best friends, and MC Sisters, has also been going through testing for the same thing recently. She had problems with her body not working as it should, and being in constant pain - I've witnessed her hurting and it's horrible that I can do nothing to help - but for this there is no cure!
Now, the event is raising money for Munchflower's cause, and there are lots of ways to donate, but seriously who doesn't love buying something pretty at the same time... Horrorfestive, you get something pretty and give a little!

You can also get your snacks for Santa at the event, this poisoned Santa Trap - from Enchant3D - will make any scary looking fat man keel over! Having to keep HellBone away from it just for that reason, and I say so here to test whether he actually reads my ramblings or not LOL...
I wanted to keep my outfit fairly simple this time, but a LOT of it comes from the Horrorfestive! My dress forms a part of The Doll outfit from SongBird and it comes with the full body joints tattoos in a cracked or normal version - the tattoos you can also get seperately by the way, which is a flipping brilliant idea! - although the cracks that I am wearing here are those from Ama called Shattered in a delicate rouge colour!
I fell in love with a second item from the Horrorfestive line-up too... The boots from ImmateriA are called Yeti Boots and this would be the rare Licorice colour - yes they are in an evil gacha! - but how can you not love these! They reminded me so much of whenever you saw some of the monster feet on Sesame Street when I was younger... I had to get the blue pair LOL you will understand why when you see them!! LOL!
Lastly, and possibly more clearly in the close-up below, I wanted to show you the gorgeous Morelia Eyes from Avatar Bizarre. It wasn't enough for me to be a dead and broken dolly LOL, no I had to have monster eyes too!!

Even the Blind can See! A Horrorfestive Production!

So many awesome things are available at the 2014 Horrorfestive you will have to go in to see and believe it hehe... As I've said before this event is raising money for the awesome Munchflower Zaius. For those of you who have NO IDEA who she is let me give you a bit of an idea!
Munchflower Zaius is the mind behind Nomine. For a very long time, she has been an inspiration, guru and assistant to people in SL's large dark, gothic and macabre community who are seeking to make their own SL a happier and prettier place. Many people will be able to say they have at least heard of Nomine, even if they have no idea who Munchflower herself is, and although I have never really had any personal dealings with the lady in question everything I've heard about her is good. The support she has in this time of need, during which she has been forced to give up her source of income - yes, Nomine has closed! - goes to show just how loved she and her store are!

Let me share with you just a few more of the pretties... I KNOW there is a lot more to come from the event but as much as I want to I cannot do them all at once LOL...
This time I got a little creative, and released the seer that I have within thus suggesting that even the blind can see... I don't want anyone to feel offended by this statement by the way, I mean no offence. I had a blind great aunt who always used to tell me "just because I cannot see doesn't mean I cannot see what you're doing young lady". Her other senses were so heightened she always knew when I was up to something, even more so than the family around with sight! It used to scare me as I was little, I thought she was magic hehe...
I guess that magical feeling has kind of been reflected here. This look all started with the set of Crown, Blindfold and Flowers called Frills, in a Fever colour, from Devae. There were SO MANY colour combinations to choose from but when I pulled these on with the hair I chose to wear from Clawtooth, that was it... I was destined to be a pinkish Seer hehe... Then, in combination with that, I remembered this amazing tiara that has been released from ImmateriA for the December Witching Hour. It may look familiar, but they have been updated and made even prettier for the new round!! The full body tattoo is subtle in everything but the face, the face seemed to work perfectly with the mystical feeling that I was trying to portray, but this Ama Alive Inside Tattoo could be used in so many different ways! I then kept the rest of the outfit simple in the form of this super cute Satin Jumpsuit from PixyStix, and some very cute and rather useful present opening claw rings from HopScotch!
Just one more thing was missing to make the look complete... MORE EYES! Bliensen + MaiTai have created some AMAZING Eye Ornaments, and they are SO unbelieveably gorgeous that I think in the very near future I will have to put up a Christmas Tree in SL just to show them off! Me being me, and therefore more than a little bit weird, I decided to add them to my outfit, and so now this Seer has four eyes, not just two hehe!
Wow sometimes I don't half talk a lot lol, just one more thing that I should mention though... Look behind me, I know I am a little distracting but that grave stone in the background, not only is it gorgeous, it's also animated with bats AND available for Horrorfestive from Alchemist! Gorgeous and Charitable what more can you ask for!

HorrorFestive 2014 comes to town!

It's that time of year again... The time when everything becomes that little bit festive, has a sparkle that you don't see most of the year and those with a shopping habit have a HUGE excuse to shop more! I'm talking of course, about the Christmas feeling... It's taken over in SL as well as RL, and now you cannot escape it no matter where you are!
There is also a festive disturbance in within SL's darker and depraved circles this month... A festive horror event, has sprung from the minds of some devious minds to bring a little Christmas cheer and support for a very much loved reason.
HorrorFestive 2014 is a month long charity event, from the minds behind Zombiefest and Horrorfest, who in the season of joy, peace and love are raising awareness and help for someone highly respected and loved within the SL Macabre Scene... Miss Munchflower Zaius - creator of Nomine - is suffering from the incurable Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and so she - without sounding patronising - has been chosen as this year's charitable cause. You can read more about it in her own words on her "Gofundme" page, there you can donate if you wish OR you can come check out Horrorfestive and get yourself lots of awesome goodies as you do hehe....

So for the next few days I plan on sharing with you some of the amazing items that you can grab yourself, whilst making that donation to Munchflower! I will be intermingling the Horrorfestive with other things, such as The Witching Hour goodies that you can grab now too, but as they say "variety is the spice of life" hehe...
My first look is something that borders on the glamourous, almost like a romantic Christmas scene - but with a little macabre touch hehe...
Let's look at the props in this photo first shall we... Starting with an item for The Witching Hour! This sofa is an Elegant Gothmas Sofa from Athermath Creations, which is one piece in a HUGE collection of things that can be won from a Witching Hour Gacha Machine! It has poses for men and women, and adds a touch of sheer elegance to a gothic style living room!
Now, Horrorfestive things... At the back, a very pretty "Christmas Visitors Roomdivider" from HopScotch, which seems perfect for hiding things behind, such as the carnage that comes from wrapping Christmas Presents LOL... As you can see by the Christmas Presents that I wrapped - from Bliensen + MaiTai - one of them is leaking something, the other I got fed up with wrapping and stabbed, I'm not good at it, I told you that hehe!! Lastly I needed a tree with a difference, enter Eclectic Muse and their Christmas with the Devil style interior decorating... This tree with it's skully bauble was perfect!

Of course, a pretty room, means I need an even prettier look... Luckily for me there is SO MUCH CHOICE available from the Horrorfestive, I could play with a lot of things hehe...
My dress comes from Fission, and though there are a few colours to choose, I LOVE this elegant black version... It's low cut front and even lower cut back are stunning, if you don't mind a bit of nipnip on show! I kept the accessories simple - by Rudhish standards - wearing a gorgeous necklace, which comes as part of a set, from Chaos, Panic & Disorder, and some adorabley Festive Antlers from Squeek, adorable if you don't mind blood that is... Lastly, I put in some pretty coloured contact lenses that you can pick up from Chop Shop at the event. There were so many different colours of these that it was so hard to choose! The pink did go best with my hair hence why I put those contacts in...
