A Tear and A Ted

I have had a day that has been a little mixed emotion-wise. Today was the funeral of an old family friend in the UK, he was someone I grew up with a little like an extra uncle and his wife was someone that I was very close to. She has been a rock for my mum whilst mum is undergoing her chemo treatments and I cannot be at home to help her. So it's been a day of thinking of the lady he left behind, the memories I have of him in the background of my childhood and my mother, who knew him well and is trying to keep her friend supported in this difficult time.. It's times like this when I HATE being so far away from the family. It's times like this when I feel like I'm not doing enough, and not being a good, supportive daughter... I'm trying not to cry as I say this but I miss my parents more than anything at the moment... 

I think I'm just feeling highly emotional... I turn 40 next Thursday and I won't be seeing my family. It's UK mother's day on Sunday and I won't be seeing my mother, and I guess I'm a little jealous that she's going to be seeing my sister instead but it's easier to go to her between chemo treatments than come all the way to Amsterdam. I'm living in a place that I don't like, that has no privacy and feels like I am CONSTANTLY at work. There are other things too but I am going to get through this and things will be better by the end of the year, I live in hope... 
I needed someone to love me, I needed to feel cozy and comfortable and cuddled... Teddy Bears and cuddly toys have always been my friend in this. I have lots and will keep collecting them and I cuddle them all, despite the fact that I am nearly 40. It is always a nice feeling to have something soft and sweet and friendly to cuddle, right?! For now, until I get a chance to see the family, facetime on the phone and cuddling teddies is the best that it's going to get...

A Queen in Hiding!

Finally a day off and I had the chance to have a lay in. It was blissful, until we heard the staff of the shop below arriving for work and disturbing the wonderful slumber... It was so lovely cuddling up with Hell and my cat,and then reality came through and we had to go to our house and do some of the final work before we handover the keys next week... The first thing I NEED to do though is get a very, large cup of coffee... 

Even though I'm happy to have a day off and had a bit of a lay in, I'm still bloody exhausted and I know that HellBone is too...

A Break for Veggies

I'm just home from work and it's been a long and kinda shitty day, but I'm off for the next two days and I plan on resting and relaxing... I will spend all day tomorrow reading books and MAYBE, just maybe find some time to cook something delicious for dinner... I've already stopped off to make sure I have all the groceries I need so I don't have to go out in the cold... 

I got home with the groceries, there was a LOT of fresh veggies today, along with somet things I'd abandoned onto the counter when I walked in... There was a HUGE pile of mail ready and waiting for me, Ive been ordering lots of things on Amazon to get ready for Christmas lol, and there are a few special gifts for myself of course, a girl needs her Christmas themed smut to get her through the upcoming festivities... 
I don't know if anyone else gets like this but sometimes when I'm reading I may have to reach for one of those special adult type toys that make you feel good, and today as I was reading and putting the groceries away I ended up needing a little help... No toys were to be found BUT there was a Flirty Eggplant - from MishMish - in the veggie crate, and well isn't that what the kids say is actually a penis emoji?! If it works, it works right? LOL... Excuse me for a minute, I'm gonna find out if it will work LOL...

Rituals for Salvage and Enchantment

Today has been a day off for me, and you can tell that it's been a day off because I've had a chance to get very creative and make something magical when it comes to blogging... Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of the things that I share here but there are some days when I feel like the magic is just that little more magical... 
It's getting magically cold, some might say somewhat Frostbitten and more than a little salvaged... Magically cold and collected from salvaged things... 

A Frozen Ritualist - which is actually the name of the tattoo from AURO, that you can get your hands on at the Frostbitten Enchantment Graveyard - was performing a Ritual - in a backdrop from FOXCITY - involving a mirror and a very large Tsarknife - from FOE, available now at Salvage Station - but ended up getting herself Possessed... Boken glass from the mirror went everywhere, including being embedded into her chest... Luckily she's magical and can withstand the pain...

Backyard Camping Treats!

Since I am stuck at home today, and even though it's my normal day off and normally I wouldn't be complaining about being at home, I had a really strong desire to be getting outside, and there was no way I wanted to go round people so into the back garden I was going... 
It was a warmer day than expected, so I decided to make the most of it and make it one last fun day of Summer... 

Some of those summer days when I was a kid would be spent camping in the backyard, at least we'd lay there and just magically wake up in our beds in the morning as I believe Dad had carried us up to bed when it got late and we were asleep... 
One thing we never did though was make Smores - or is it S'mores, I don't know how it is written really - it's one of those American traditions that were never really a thing when I was a kid in the UK... It's something I've ALWAYS really wanted to try and do, but I've never really managed to try it properly... So while I'm lazing in my pop-up tent to read and watch my Cozy Campfire - from Krescendo - I pulled out the Junk Food Smores kits and hand to give it a go..

Fresh Out, So I'm Off!

That's it, it's officially Wednesday in my neck of the woods and that means only ONE THING this week... TODAY IS THE DAY I SAY BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... Today is the day that I am officially checking out of my adulting life because today is the day that I am going back to my parents for the week. I will be the only one there too, which means I get undivided attention - ask me later if that's still something I am happy about - but I guess one last post to you now can't and won't hurt... 

So I woke myself up WAY TOO EARLY, I dunno if it was excitement or stress induced but hey, it gave me an extra few hours to be able to sit down with a coffee and write to you about my immanent departure... I've checked and double checked that I have everything, and HellBone won't allow me to take the cat because he needs someone to look after him so I THINK I'm ready to go...  
SO I won't be around until the 22nd - although you know me I'll be lurking somewhere in the background and MAY even have a post prepared, though don't get your hopes up too much at this point - but don't miss me too much... I will be back!!!

The Sheriff Needs Target Practice!

I've never been that into the tales of cowboys, and country western music makes me feel bored - don't come at me, we all have our own things and so many people laugh at me for Take That lol - but I heard that there is a new Shot Gun event sweeping into town and well, I guess it's time to get my 'yee-haw' on... 

I'm going to be getting myself into a brilliant little bit of trouble, but first for now I'll be hiding in the barn while I get ready and have things practiced before I make my cowgirl appearance... 
The biggest secret of the moment happens to be that some how I managed to land myself in the role of Sheriff, being offered a Sheriff Badge - from Puddles - before I've even had a chance to show my worth... I had the amazing outfit ready - thanks to the gorgeous new release from miss chelsea for the Shot Gun Event with it's Wild West Theme that is running now until June 6th - but as HellBone tells me I have the aim of a stormtrooper when firing a gun... I needed some practice, I was being taunted by the Bandit Bash Game - from MadPea that allows you to beat the crap outta some bandits when you are in a mood - so I picked up the Lone Rider BB Gun - from Junk Food - and took aim. Don't worry it's not a real gun, it would only dent the bandits, but before I could get more than one shot off, the gaggle of Deputy Ducks - from Aardvark, but like many of the items blogged today are available at the Shot Gun Pop Up Event - swarmed in and, although I was the sheriff and they are my new deputies, I figured that I was in trouble! Oopsie!!

Saucy Novels in Detention

I know that I tend to get lost sometimes when I am working on a blog post, it is the one thing that makes me feel most relaxed and trust me, today I need to switch my mind off of things that are going on, but I cannot seem to get my head into working on one of my twisted fairytales... The only thing that is coming easy seems to be the making of pretty looks that I would wear every day... So to distract myself I've decided to work on a little Look-of-the-Day... 

I don't often do things like a look of the day, I always feel a need to create a fairytale story... Today I've set up a scene that makes me feel super happy, but it's the outfit that made me feel the most happy... I LOVE how cute I look, I love that it's a little slutty and still totally adorably innocent too...

Cookies, Milk and My Jammies!

It's been a long day, it's been a long few days, and since the next few days are my days off I plan on relaxing and spending most of them in my pyjamas... Starting from the minute that I walk in the front door, my daytime clohes come off and the jammies come on, bra shucked off and forgotten in the bottom of the laundry basket... It's time for a good book, some delicious snacks and relaxation...
