Waking up after having weird dreams has left me feeling a bit strange this morning... I don't know exactly what the dreams were about but I can remember a feeling of HUH? and as I wake up I am still feeling that same weird mix of emotions... I feel so weird in fact that I'm kinda at a loss for words, I have nothing of any value to say this morning and so when choosing something from my collection to blog, the best idea was something a little crazy...
Hence the Wannabe Mermaid look... Someone told Rudh if she eats enough Mermaids, then she may become one, it's the sort of thing my mum used to tell me when I was a kid wanting a lot of something to eat, but anyway, that explains why she's bobbing around in the middle of the ocean - in a Signature Pose Floatie that you can grab at GEN:Neutral - chomping on a little mermaid and looking a little bit like she has an opalescent sheen to her skin. Just for those of you that are interested, no mermaids were harmed in the making of this photograph... This mouthie prop is a very old school gacha item from Evie's Closet - I'm not sure it's still even available - and the sheen to her skin is a new release from The White Crow at the latest round of the Kawaii Project. I tend to be one of those people that is a little optimistic about the things that I do in life. I am one of those "I'll give it a try" type people, even if I back those thoughts up with thoughts of doubt... Sometimes I am right and you get no response to the situation, but others there is a surprise that brings a smile to your face. The fantasy lover in me was drawn out recently, and I have to say I have missed working on something a little more fantasy. It started with a dress - themed for the Game of Thrones, which I admit I know NOTHING about - and finished with a tiny little dragon in a teacup hehe... Let the imagination commence as the Dragon Princess saves a baby dragon from a dark underground world!
The location is amazing, one of those really pretty Role Play sims that I initially thought wouldn't let people in... BUT... They have an observer tag that you can wear and I slipped that on before going exploring, and I was hoping that so long as I stayed out of the way of the action I'd not bother anyone... I'd recommend the sim for fantasy photography - it's Mysts of EYR - and I know that I will definitely be going back to take more photos... It is gorgeous! The entire reason for the dress and letting my imagination run wild however, not to mention my opening ramble, is that recently I was digging around, looking to see if anyone was accepting new bloggers - I wanted to try my luck and see if I had what it takes... One of those places was Petite Mort. NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be given a shot, especially considering I hadn't ever blogged their creations before, but OH MY GOD their designs are SO pretty and so varied! This dress is one from Petite Mort that you can grab for yourself at the latest round of The Instruments, which this month has a Game of Thrones theme. I didn't realise at the time I was taking this picture too but there is someone linked with Dragons in the Game of Thrones - I really may be the only person on the planet that has no idea, and I'm sorry LOL - but the dragon I rescued needed to be freed... I had no way of getting him out except putting him in my tea cup! You can find these dragons - and the matching horns - at the latest Kawaii Project from darkenedStare! One more thing before I sign off though, I wanted to include a close-up picture which you can see below, just to show off some of the accessorising I did in this fantasy look... LODE's Violet Wreath looked great with the horns, and the eyes that seemed to change as soon as I reached for the dragon. There was a SongBird calling "Soothsayer" nearby, not sure if that was related, but my eyes sure did itch hehe...

I recently had a bit of a re-evaluation of the way that I wanted to work on my blog. Things were seeming much more difficult and it was a bit like my Mojo was running very low, it wasn't coming as easily as it should and I felt that I was forcing myself to sit and work on things... I decided that I would work less for people and more for myself, sharing the things that I truly loved because wasn't that the reason I started my blog in the first place anyway?! So I quit working for a few people and planned that I would blog things I loved, not things I had to persuade myself I liked... THEN... Whilst I was away this weekend... I received a Blogger Welcome Pack from one of my favourite designers! Someone I never in a million years thought would like my work enough to accept my application! When I saw the note I squealed, so that Hell thought I had gone bonkers... I became a part of the blogger team for LOST JUNCTION!!!!
I don't want to sound like I am bragging, but it's a really huge deal for me to be accepted by a store that I love so much. There are so many awesome bloggers out there, each vying for limited blogger spots, that I never thought I'd get the chance when I applied... SO Thank you Tala Laval for accepting me into your team, and I hope I don't let you down... I got all dressed up - all purdy like - and went in search of somewhere Halloweenish to celebrate... I found a cute little location called Cay's at Woodland Lake... There are some creepy goings on out there, and these sweet looking but somewhat sinister ladies wanted me to have tea with them... I'm not sure if they were intrigued by my dress - which is another of the Pixicat Dreamy Dresses, this time in Halloween print with moving bats - or the awesome TentaJewels from Lost Junction, which you can grab at this month's Kawaii Project. Things like this TentaJewels jewellery set are why I love Lost Junction... It's kooky and cute, it's well made and creative, and it always brings a smile to my face! For some reason the craze of the Mermaid is still sweeping through SL like a case of the Chicken Pocks in kids... It seems that everyone has caught the half-fishy bug and I have to say I am really enjoying playing the mermaid myself too! I've never really been one for wearing the mermaid tail, but I've always had a thing about being a mermaid that can walk on land, and luckily with the pretties that are being released in abundance I've been able to do that a little!! A part of me hopes that the cult of the Mermaid that is sweeping the SL fashion world, doesn't become like the cult of the Vampire or the Neko, but with events like Enchantment - yes the one based on Fairytales - going down the mermaidy route it is very hard to ignore the call of the sea!
This time though I am NOTHING like the conventional Disney Mermaid Princesses, unless perhaps you mixed them with a rock chick?! I would say I blame parts of the outfit but why should I blame anyone, I LOVE this mermaid on land look!!! Starting off with the TWO main reasons I pulled this look together, I couldn't resist them at The Enchantment and I still get a kick out of the outfit that I pulled together using them!! The two things I simply had to have at the event were the adorable hair and the amazing tattoo! The hair comes from SpellBound, and it's accessory options are awesome. You can wear it with or without the strings of pearls and there are two different headdress options - flowers or a coral tiara - plus you can wear it without any of these so it's a fairly versatile wig! The tattoo is possibly one of the coolest I've seen since the Dolly wounds, and as it comes from the same store, it really doesn't surprise me too much. The store that is antielle has a habit of making things that I NEED, this was no exception! The Inner Mermaid Tattoo with it's ripped skin to reveal the mermaid within effect and the amazingly vibrant colours of the scales beneath is just gorgeous, and although Macabre it really fits with that whole Little Mermaid idea! Once those things were on, everything else just seemed to come together easily. A cropped Evil Mermaid half-tee from Asteria and a pair of Blueberry Lana shorts, with somet killer high EMPORIUM Sally heels was all the outfit I needed, I accessorised by adding a Candy Crunchers Fish Bone Headband to the already adorned wig, some adorable Stupid Cupid glasses from Cute Poison - that OK didn't really fit the theme but looked really cute with the outfit - and then for that edgy look I added a Zenith Shark Bag!! Finally it was location time, and I scoured a few sims looking for the perfect Evil Mermaid moment without much success... It was about that time I re-discovered that I'd bought the Trompe Loeil Nerissa Seashell Bath from a past Collabor88 event! BINGO! With the addition of a few {anc} Bubbles, a Bubble Brigade Crab from Half-Deer and a Delightful seahorse fom Fawny, the evil mermaid in me was ready to leave the sea and head to the hearest place to find a fisherman to lure to his demise!!

I fell asleep during the last post I wrote and it took me to a strange and magical land... As if SL wasn't enough on it's own I found myself wandering through a wonderland... I guess that's what happens when you accidentally take too much cough medicine!
I will say that a lot of this could be the fault of the recent Kawaii Project - but that wouldn't be entirely true, they didn't force me to buy lots and lots of pretty things... We're All Mad Here... Such a truer than true phrase about SL, least in my world it is anyway... Maybe that's just the way I chose to live my SL... The statement is a true Wonderland quote, but you too can grab yourself you're own posing pocket watch - courtesy of Exposeur - that will allow you to surround yourself in the madness... While at Kawaii Project though, don't miss out on your chance to catch the very rare - last of the species - Dodos - a SilentSparrow super creation! It's not just Wonderland critters though, there are a few that have snuck in from a local Wizard School it seems... Those adorable little Nifflers seem to be following me everywhere, I just hope they don't get too close to those Carnivorous Geraniums! I heard that you could buy you're own pets like these at the Wizarding Faire, but that moved on to a new town, so I'd suggest if you want these special pets you head to Ohmai and HEXtraordinary.
I had to share a close-up of my look as I fell into wonderland though... It's not really the sort of thing I can imagine Alice Liddell wearing LOL... The dress perhaps, from Moon Amore - a release for the past Project Limited - in it's soft yellow shade. The key necklace and bottle bag she carries are simple and pretty things, that may be useful and can be purchased before a trip to wonderland from Nomi - currently at The Kawaii Project. It's the other accessories that I have on which seem less Alice Liddell and more naughty porn princess however, but I couldn't resist the abrasive Love or Lust Gacha Items... It's early-ish on a Sunday morning and I really don't feel like I should be out of bed... BUT it's the first Sunday of the month and that means HellBone is up early, stomping around like an elephant to get ready for his RL MC meeting... He did bring me some breakfast in bed, a redeeming factor that he's lucky for, but I'm one of those people that once I'm awake, I cannot get back to sleep! So I got up, I made some more tea, and then I got back into bed in SL lol...
It's always peaceful here at this time in the morning... None of the MC are around, and when Lil is off with Hell in RL Biker mode, I have the sim to myself... All you can hear is the sound of the crickets and the swamp animals... Sometimes it's more peaceful here than at home in RL lol... My new bed is a HUGE truck from Consignment, perfect for the Swamp, it's already rusty, but least this way I won't worry about it getting wet... It's the perfect size for me and my new plushie... A Tweedle from Katat0nik,... I LOVE HIM SO MUCH and he doesn't steal all the space in the bed, like HellBone does LOL... Now just one more thing, I know you're probably wondering why the heck I decided to go to bed in my boots... WOULDN'T YOU?? These boots are amazeballs, and I haven't taken them off for anything besides taking a photo LOL... Get your pair from Reign, at this month's Uber, but I warn you, the patterns are so gorgeous, you won't know which to choose... I was sensible at first, I picked the plain black, as black goes with everything pretty much, but I think I may - when I can bring myself to get out of bed - go back to Uber and get some funky patterns on my boots hehe... As of late I've been a little dead, but there is always some hidden sparkle waiting to burst out... Sometimes I go rainbow Rudh, others it's Kawaii Rudh, but this time it's Pretty Rudh and I just couldn't hold it in any longer! For my Birthday recently, my MC family took me exploring... We went to a sim called The Grand Duchy of Picklemoon, and if you haven't heard of it then you REALLY should go check it out! It was like being in my head! There is a haunted house that could actually be my brain!! Not to mention all the other areas that would make fantastic photo shoot locations. No doubt I will be going back again and again to find the best backdrops for my crazy photos! I decided to use the location for the newest photo of Pretty Witch Rudh. After all, there is nothing better that the pretty witch likes to do than take a walk around a pretty location!!!
The pretty witch look that I pulled together started at a little shopping event called The Kawaii Project, you may well have heard of it! It was there that I found this pretty - but so not my usual style - outfit from {amiable} called Daisy. Although the outfit comes in a variety of different colours, I went with the simple black colour to really make the daisies pop out! I dressed it with a pair of the gorgeous Kawaii Project Wingtip pumps that were a release from uber Kawaii store Katat0nik and then dug out a pretty witch hat that comes attached to the Olive Wicked Hair... There was just one last thing... What should I have as my Witches Familiar... I couldn't choose lol I had two in mind... SO I went with both because I am greedy like that... I have two three-eyed Pixicat kittens - that I am in love with - and an adorable Spid-eek Pet Spider from SilentSparrow. I normally would never be anywhere near a spider but how can you look at my little pet and tell me he's not as adorable - if not more so - than my kittens?

There's something coming... Drawing closer and closer as each minute passes... The wicked laughter taunting and making the hairs of their next victims stand on end, as the sounds of heavy objects are thrown around a locked room in the sky... One of SL's darkest events is on it's way in... Horror Haute will be rolling out the red carpet very soon, welcoming you to come and sample some of it's wares, luring you into the dark with it's promise of pretties... You wouldn't be the first to succumb to it's macabre nature, and no doubt you wÃll be the last... You have been warned, something horrific this way comes, and this time it's oriental as we enter the land of the rising sun!
OK OK I know sometimes I can be a tad over dramatic, but what the heck, if I cannot do that here then where can I?! However, what was said in the ramble above is correct... Horror Haute January is on it's way in, and this time it will be Japanese Horror themed! I've already sampled some of the sights, trust me you're in for a fright, but I always find myself overly excited and desperate to dive into the Horror Haute goodie box each month. This time, maybe doubly so, and it's mostly the fault of a band that I seem to have become addicted to! If you haven't heard of BabyMetal - you will get to see them at the end of this ramble lol - then you should. I get the feeling they are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them, and I'm definitely on the addicted side. It's J-Pop meets Metal, and though you may think I am bonkers it ALWAYS gets me dancing... Anyway, I was inspired by the adorable lolita goth and kawaii style of the girls in the band, so my Horror Haute Teaser is something in a combination of the two genres lol... It actually sums my two halves up pretty well LOL... For Horror Haute this month you can get your hands on this gorgeous [Stargazer Creations] Yurei Skin - thank goodness she's taken a break from torturing me with rainbow colours lol - and although the options available included all different make-up styles I HAD to wear the one with the gaping mouth hehe... It went too well with the scars that permanently adorn my face! The Kawaii elements just seemed to happen as if by luck lol... I'd been to the latest round of The Kawaii Project and spotted these adorable dresses from katat0nik. I instantly wanted the Rare versions which is covered with apples and skulls - aptly named poison apple - and normally I don't hold my breath as I never have the luck to win Rares, but this one fell into my lap first try YAY!!! Then I remembered the adorable little Apple Bag that was a special gift from katat0nik at The Arcade this Christmas... I HAD TO USE IT TOGETHER... It wasn't until after this photo was taken that I spotted katat0nik Pidgeon herself had done the same thing *facepalms*, so this one is in homage to her LOL... Lastly, and as a finishing touch, this secretive monster girl reached for her Kitsune Mask - Japanese Fox Mask - from Zyn. I'd not heard of this store before, but since looking there is a few things that I will definitely be spending my lindens on hehe... I had to go with that song as a post title, because the other song that features something from this look I created has driven me nuts so much when it was first released that anyone who sings it around me on our home sim will be shown how to fly... Getting it stuck in my own head just by writing a blog post title would be silly... Something I am likely to do to myself but VERY silly! I even made myself look less like a fox and more like a wolf, whilst I merely accessorised with foxes... YAY go me!!!
The foxes were in fact the reason for the post... So I am going to focus my attention on them and less on the Big Bad Wolf Rudh! The little pet that I am carrying around in my arms, is my new friend Cirque... Named because I bought him on my recent trip to Cirque De Seraphim from the Psycho.Byts booth. I tell you I'm none too creative in my old age LOL... He is just so irresistably cute it was too hard to resist, and my biggest problem was trying to work out which of the 5 colours I wanted... In the end I plumbed for something natural fox looking! The other foxy element of this outfit is something I am sure you cannot miss... The MishMish Zoey dresses are available from The Kawaii Project, and come in a selection of colours... I loved this aqua green tone, which is totally unusual as a colour choice for me, but it just made those adorable little foxy faces look even cuter hehe... Anyway, just once because I cannot help myself... "WHAT DOES A FOX SAY?"
