Flakes on the Fae

I felt like doing something a little goofy but the way I become a goofy little snow fae, dancing around on the breeze with the other snow flakes in the softly falling snow was a lot less goofy, if you discount my cheeky grin... I LOVE being a little icy this time of year, I'm definitely better when it's cold...

She's such a pretty cold thing, like Elsa said "the cold never bothered me anyway" and I think even though the little flake fae has a touch of the frostbite - a layer created by The Rotting Lab - and she's covered in Snow, she's still able to smile... 
Her accessories all assist in her manufacture of the snow flakes... Aiode Flakes - from random.Matter at the current Santa Inc event which runs until January 2nd - in her jewellery to help her create the magical flakes, and the Snowbell Glasses - from Violetility at The Warehouse - which not only create the sounds of snow fall but also protect her eyes from snow blindness...

A Parade on the Slopes

Something a little crazy to get myself into that snowy, Winter spirit today since I've got Christmas on overload and finally feel like I want something a little different... I couldn't go too far away from the snow, I couldn't wander too far from that crisp Winter atmosphere... Something fun to let off a little steam... 

On my way out for coffee, I spotted a sign to the Alpine Drifts and Frosty Friends Ski Resort... You could hardly miss the place what with all the Frosty Penguins - part of a release of Frosty Friends from Krescendo at Anthology until December 17th - dotted about... I simply had to take a peek, so after stopping for some coffee to go, I nipped into the lodge and borrowed a set of skis... Seems like I wasn't the only one on the slopes today, there was a Cozy Penguin Parade - from Aardvark, available until December 22nd at UBER - bouncing down the slopes on their bellies, although it seemed like a few had to take a peek at my coffee and snuggle into some of the scarves that had been left by skiers past...

On the First of December...

Today is the first day of Advent, and that means the countdown officially begins. Every day for the next 24 days takes us one step closer to the most festive day of the year. It feels like I have a lot to do, but I'm taking it very slow and I'm planning on enjoying myself every step of the way... It's been a special day, one that started with the opening of my multiple Advent calendars... 

I have multiple Advent calendars this year... An online one from my Grandparents, a card one from my mum, my epic Book Advent Calendar that is my Christmas gift from HellBone, but in SL I have two... One is a Countdown 'til Christmas Calendar - which is the current group gift from MadPea and makes for a perfect decoration for those that want to count down until the big day - and the other is the always epic and FILLED with amazing gifts from some wonderful designers, MadPea Advent Calendar for 2024... The line-up of stores that have added a little gift to the collection this year is amazing, with the likes of miss chelsea, Aardvark, Tardfish and The Kiwi Co - all of which are my sponsors and I'm excited to see them as part of something like this - but many more too... 
Once I opened today's treat, and I'm not going to reveal what it is although it's cute and such a fun first gift, I realised that I now have to sit around a wait for tomorrow, so I pulled out some of my decorative toys, the Soldier Plushie Bear - from FINCA - and the Nutcrackers to make the festive little village feel more lived in...
