For the past few days I've been down with a cold... I know that there are so many illnesses out there which are a million times worse, but being in the midst of a cold you feel like crap and all you want to do is hide, and maybe if you're really lucky have someone bring you soup! I've been off work for a week now, forcing myself to take breaks outside between laying in bed feeling sorry for myself, but at times like these - SL Photography is always affected by RL it seems...
When I get sick in RL, Rudh also has to suffer LOL... I'm so kind to my barbie doll like that! Least in her case someone has been lovely and bought her some soup... Soup is like Junk Food for the sick! I could live on soup... Mmmm French Onion, Cream of Chicken, Tomato or even the Dutch Erwentensoep - which is a thick pea and smoke sausage soup - now I'm getting hungry!!! Please let me eat my soup, and then take a nap, I promise I'll be back on fine form later!!! OK you're probably going to get bored now, I'm still thinking about my Grand Adventure... Knowing me it could be a while coming yet, but I'm planning and working things out in my head. Yet right now I'm back in the classroom, looking at maps and making notes and working on mental arithmetic to get myself prepped! It's a tough life, but if I don't I'll have a nervous breakdown and will end up staying home LOL...
I've always loved the idea of travel, I managed to visit some amazing places in my life including Russia and New Zealand, but there's still so much of the world left to explore. I'm just kinda too scared to get on a plane anymore - flying 24 hours to New Zealand REALLY put me off another plane flight again - but there's a lot of places much closer to home I want to see, I've never been to Italy for example! Geography was always one of my favourite subjects at school, I loved learning about different cultures, I guess that's why I wanted to travel so much when I was younger. In RL I'm NOT a beachy kinda person. I don't like the beach and I'm not really interested in sitting around on one when it's hot... In winter, when it's cold and deserted it's a different story however. Yet I've never had interest in a hot sunny beach in RL... SL that's a totally different thing, there are so many pretty beaches where a doll like Rudh can have some fun... Frolicking in the waves and playing games on the sand...
Would you believe that the idea of this picture came about because I wanted something to show off my hands?! LOL!!! Basically I had the most gorgeous set of new rings delivered to me from the store that is PSYCHO.Byts and I fell in love... I HAD to share them... Unfortunately the end picture was a LITTLE too far off, so I've been good and taken close-ups too!!!

Today looks like it's going to be the a gorgeous spring day, and I'm up early raring to go before I have to head out the door to my new job... I've gotta be good and shower first but You know me by now, I can't resist taking a few minutes to sit back with a cup of tea and share my thoughts here... Spring is in the air, and I'm in a particularly good mood, so once again, at times like this I end up making Rudh look a little scarred! It's not my fault it's just something that seems to happen sometimes LOL... At least this time she looks a little spring scarred too!?!

At school I was always a bit of a good girl. I got away with murder because I was a favourite of the teachers, not really a teacher's pet, but definitely someone who was studious and well liked by all of my teachers. I never had a detention and only bunked off of a class once in my entire school career, yet I'm not sure that Rudh would be the same... At school I excelled in subjects like History and Geography, but although still interested in these things it's not something I would say I'm overly involved with anymore. Rudh on the other hand has NO IDEA, and today at school she has a history exam...
She's got an exam and to calm her nerves she's managed to find an empty class room where she can have a nerve calming spliff... Toke, breathe in and out and hopefully the nerves will fade away. She's hiding out behind a desk, knowing that her uniform is going to smell of weed smoke - an outfit from [sYs] at the current round of The Season's Story by the way - hurriedly reading through her History Books... The location used in this picture is AWESOME, it's the perfect school backdrop that is a Midsummer Memories from AMITOMO. Now I'll admit that I haven't bought the item, but I'm using the backdrop at BACKDROP CITY. This location seems to have caused a little controversy, but I think it's a damn good idea. Backdrops can be expensive, and as a blogger I'm not too keen on paying loads for a backdrop I'll only use once. I'm really chopping and changing style wise this year so far, as far as my blog goes. It's one of my favourite things to do when I am blogging. I LOVE to create new looks that are a weird twisted interpretation of my usual style, and today is no exception to that. Today is something a little more Urban, but with a grunge edge... Something that wouldn't look entirely out of place at a Rock Concert or a Rap Battle... I know that some people are able to make big changes to their Avatars or Surroundings fairly easily, but I am not one of those people. It's taken me a while to even contemplate the idea of changing my home in SL, and although I LOVE being able to decorate a new place, the thought of it is kinda daunting too... Still it's a thought in my mind and it's beginning to bubble away so we shall see LOL... I wish it was something easy to do, something easy like the little visitor that has decided to start Mountain Raising in my garden!
Strange angle for a photo I thought but then again I wanted to be able to capture the feeling that Rudh is really peering down at the Molehill like "What's this?" Lately my emotions have been causing chaos in my head... I've been letting things that shouldn't and wouldn't normally get to me in ways that have almost caused a breakdown. The mixture of emotions has been huge and although there have been happy times when I do laugh and joke around, recently it's been hard to find a lot of those. Mostly I'm hiding the true feelings away from people and that isn't good... ALTHOUGH last night I had myself a mini epiphany... I now realise... WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING?! The people and things that I am letting myself get bothered by do not matter... If they mattered I'd have talked to those concerned and it wouldn't be an issue... SO, to all the little things that were bugging me... I am done, Fuck this... Let's move on an have a good time!!
It's Monday Morning again... The day of the week that never seems to end, much like Tuesday, a feeling that is totally opposite to the weekends which tend to be "blink and you miss it" moments. I took a few days off one of my jobs last week because I was simply too tired to work anymore, and now I feel somewhat refreshed, and more than a little creative... SO ladies and gentlemen, it's time to release my inner weird girl side and see what comes out...
I love when my mind becomes creative... It creates such crazy but pretty things, this being one of them... I surprised myself even at this depraved looking, fae being... It's definitely fae but I cannot tell you what kind and I'm not even sure if she is good or bad, I'll leave that open to your interpretation, but I REALLY love this picture of me!!! It started out with me having one of the newest LODE flower accessories - the Apple Blossoms that you can get yourself at The Chapter Four until April 21st - and a Death's Head Moth - from katat0nik at The Season's Story - and wondering what I would do with each of these things... For some reason I added them both to look at them, and it was this that sparked the seeds of imagination and the glitters of creativity swirling in my crazy brain. When I added the MINA Blair hairstyle, it kinda had sparks of something fae - I will admit I was surprised, I didn't think I'd be using these items in a picture together! Then with the addition of one of the Ama Faxinus Collars - this time in a Forest colour - the Fae developed on it's own... There was just one more thing needed... For some reason this Fae side of me wanted to be dark, mysterious, and creepy... The perfect combination for this were the PSYCHO.Byts Zombie Eyes and the Be Bloody Outcast make-up from Ghost'Ink... It dragged the Fae from pretty, to slightly dark and macabre... I am so much happier being dark like this...

Today has been a like a little slice of heaven... I've had a "ME" day, one of those days which until this point has been all about me... HellBone has been at work, I've done the minimal amount of chores that I can, and I've "wasted" a vast proportion of my day in SL taking some photos and generally enjoying myself... A little picture taking, a little shopping, a little decorating of my new house and that's it... Everything has been great.
To end the day of me time in style, I'm gonna get Lil to come and pick me up in her new little red sports car and drive us off into the sunset, maybe to a place with some hot guys and some good music?! Knowing my luck we'd end up at the MC with the guys we see everyday though... Good Morning, it's early Monday Morning... The Birds are singing, the sun is rising and there is a promise of a gorgeous Spring day ahead! Sounds wonderful doesn't it?! I'm sure it will be, but there is just one thing that would make it better and that would be that I didn't have to spend the very vast majority of it sitting in a dingy office that makes a girl anything but happy... When I was at university in the UK, one of my close friends was a woman called Jude. She was a mature student, but one that loved to come out dancing with us and boy she could party hard. I have some very fond memories of times we went out, and a recent shopping event brought one in particular right back into my mind. We went to a gay bar for her Birthday - it was a regular haunt for us when she was coming out - and they had a quiz night hosted by the most flamboyant drag queen I've ever seen in the flesh - because I love watching Ru Paul on TV and no one beats Ru Paul LOL... The reason that I bring this up in a rambling is because fairly recently I was sent a dress from adoness, that was designed for the newest round of Genre and the them of Drag Queens...
Never will you see a round of a shopping event with so much over-the-topness and glitter as this month's round of Genre... The Drag Queen theme has allowed designers to go overboard on both colour and glitteriness and it made me smile! I HAD to dress up in one of the gorgeous outfits - the Glitter Queen Outfits include a dress and hat - from adoness and head out to live like a Queen hehe... Sinners Burlesque club is the perfect place to do that, it's decadent, and glamouous, the perfect place for a Drag Queen to take up residence... I'm having a lazy Sunday and today my SL is something that feels more like a movie set... I've been a busy bee today working on SO MANY Photos that my SL feels a bit like a movie set - a photo shoot at least - and so I took a few minutes to share my awesome regular outfit before I slipped into something a little more uncomfortable!
I love these jeans... LOVE LOVE LOVE them... They are made by SPIRIT and are available at this month's round of The Dressing Room, and as well as coming in a set of colours, they also include a skin HUD so that you can re-tone the colour of the skin. Then to go on my top half I chose a very loose open Occult Jacket from ISON and wore a scarf with my Elspeth style from Truth... Such a pretty and casual outfit for a Sunday... Right? After all that partying there is only one thing that this girl needs to make herself feel better even more... SHOPPING!!! Even the least girliest of girls, that claim they don't like it, will I am sure find times when shopping is fun. I love bargains, sales make me happy as a cloud and don't even get me started about how much I enjoy rummaging through second hand sales, but when it all comes down to it, if I really need a shopping trip I will always go in SL as it's cheaper to splurge here than in RL hehe...
A shopping spree won't fix everything, but it will help bring a bit of a spring in my step, even if it is just for a while and right now a while would help! Though perhaps spring in my step isn't the right thing to say, especially after wandering around the stores in some huge heels - the soles of my feet would be too sore to spring from LOL... Unfortunately when I went shopping, I was in such an excited daze that I grabbed my bag - yes it's a SLainsbury's Bag because I am that classy - and ran out the house, forgetting that my keys were also a necessity. So once I was done shopping, I had to sit in the sun on the stoop outside the house and wait for HellBone to get home! Sometimes I get the feeling that I am totally alone, even when I am constantly surrounded by people... I'm feeling like that at the moment and it's because of some situations in RL that I don't feel strong enough to handle. I don't want to pour my heart out too much, it's just RL drama that no one needs to hear about, but I need something good to happen, I need to feel that I am strong and I'd really like to know that I'm worth something... Sorry to sound melodramatic, it's something that I am working my way through and I'm sure I will get over this but the bumps in the road seem pretty big right now, so I may need a monster truck to get over them... As always though my mood definitely seems to be apparent in the pictures that I am taking...
I never intended to take such a dark and lonely shot, it was pretty and light and airy in the house that's owned by one of my favouritest people and their partner... I went there because no one could find me though, so I suppose it does reflect my mood! Basically I wanted to do some simple, down-to-earth and without too much thought into my emotions style blogging... The only other thing I did was set out a bucket of candles to provide me a little light and make the place feel warmer! Wonderland might have the Queen of Hearts, but there is a far darker place in the deep recesses of my mind... Monsterland! Rudh the Queen of Monsterland makes the Queen of Hearts look like a Disney Princess... She smiles as she watches the torture that her many minions can inflict on the White Monarchy, laughing as they are turned blood red to match her own kingdom.
Well actually, it isn't just in my mind if the minds of a particular design duo are anything to go by, but can you tell I had a LOT of fun with this, and I even managed to get HellBone involved with me hehe... Perfect as we needed a new couple photo hehe... I've always been addicted to Wonderland, and as I've grown up that pretty Disneyfied version has also modified into a darker place, though when I saw the items created by a dream design duo of CURELESS [+] and nefarious.inventions - that you can get your hands on at The Epiphany until February 2nd - I felt like they'd reached into my brain and pulled things into the SL world from it!!! I AM TOTALLY AND UTTERLY IN LOVE WITH THIS COLLECTION!!! I squeaked with excitement when I saw it, but as soon as I could get into the crazy busy Epiphany Event, this was the booth I headed for! I got myself a FULL SET - although the crown is missing from the photo - and even managed to have enough points for the exclusive Chess Board! Would you like to visit my Wonderland?! Have you ever wanted to truly let yourself go? Embrace something that is different from your normal? Reveal your darker side and let a secret passion take hold? I'm sure you may have at some point, and I'm sure that you' may have let your wildest imaginings run free in SL. Inhibitions are much less apparent in the virtual world, and sex seems to be abundant - something that can cause unwarrented disaproval from outsiders, I might add. Yet as a personal belief I feel that having a safe environment - I know that there are exceptions to this as there have been cases of cyber stalking and other horrors, but you can log off and block people if you feel uncomfortable within situations... Nothing in SL is beyond your control, Not really! I've always been - although it took SL to make me aware of it - fairly submissive... I've tried to flip the switch, and act dominant but it never works for me and I end up giggling at myself... The submissive side of me has been squashed away somewhat - HellBone has no interest in control - but every now and then she surfaces... Something awakens her inner cravings...
This time it was ROMP... ROMP is the best kinky shopping event in SL - I think - and every time it rolls out the submissive side of me jumps for joy... There are so many pretty new things to play with, and so many fun new toys to tease the senses... Shame I have no one to play with though LOL... Still, this month's event was no different, and OH MY GOSH some of the designers have pulled out all of the stops to make some beautiful things... Things like this Capturado Collection from Artisan Fantasy. The full set includes three different coloured wall mattresses, a toy shelf as well as individual toys on hooks, floor and ceiling mounts and a lattice wall mount all with this amazing scrollwork design... It's simply gorgeous! I fell for the textures and the feminine curls wrought from masculine iron!! Whilst at ROMP, and as my inner submissive was already on the outside for a while, I had to do a little more shopping hehe... I had a hard time choosing between colours of Dead Dollz lingerie - opting for black as it's easiest and goes with everything - and then treating myself to some Kitten Hair from Spellbound. The one thing missing was the perfect collar for a kitten, but The Horror sorted that problem out for me too!! It was amazing how everything fell together hehe... The little submissive girl left to wait, rests her eyes tuning her hearing into the sound of her Master's approach... Lit through the grate as the door opens... The fun is about to begin!
