A Dark Adventure in a Time Warp!

It's astounding...  Time is fleeting... Feels like, not long ago... Since Dark Adventures, opened it's doors last year, but now it's time for another go... So listen closely, the new Dark Adventure is on a roll... 
HellBone and I have been working hard, this time of year - like so many others around us - is our favourite time of year and FOR YEARS he (mostly) has been working his ass off to create a special event for people to enjoy... THIS YEAR we based it on one of my favourite movies... So, let's do the Time Warp AGAIN... 

This year the Rocky Horror is celebrating it's 50th Birthday... I have LOVED this quirky, random and crazy world since I first got to see it in my teens and NOW we have a little tribute to Frankenfurter, Riff Raff, Magenta and the humans in our own Dark Adventure!
We're setting out on another Dark Adventure...

Color the World, Me and my Plus One!

Wow looks like it's a HOT day again tomorrow, today has been pretty warm too... I've been trying to focus on some random things to keep me occupied and avoiding the heat. 
I decided that today was a good time to take part in a challenge that we've been set in the blogging team for Ananas. They like to keep us on our toes, and keep us interested in the things we're blogging. This time we're being challenged to play a game of "Check Me Out: And My Plus One"... 

Now the idea behind the challenge was to showcase an item from Ananas, and feature a plus one... It didn't have to be a partner, it could be a friend, or a colleague, or even another blogger on the team, yet I guess, for the ease of it, I grabbed HellBone from what he was doing and pulled him into my little blogging world. 
Now, what would we do... We grabbed some MASSIVE crayons and decided to start drawing up a plan of what we'd be working on, when the plan fell together and we decided to "Color the World"... Getting involved in his games...

Date Night... There are lots of places that we can go and have some fun, but one of our favourites has to be the Arcade... The music from the machines, the happiness of people playing the games and the smell of the junk food being served. It's a fun place to hang out, a fun place for date night and maybe a fun way to keep him occupied a little bit... 

A delicious dinner for two, something cheap and cheerful... A Pizza, some sodas and OOOOOOH A large plate of Cheesy Steak Nachos, make mine with extra jalapenos please?! 
While we were waiting for our orders to be brought, HellBone got a little fidgety, so I gave him a few pennies and sent him to play the Arcade machines... You know me, I cannot help but get involved as I watched him play. It was a ame full of suspense, I could barelý contain it, as my body language and the fact that I knocked my soda over while watching him play... 
I LOVE this backdrop and pose set... They, along with the Cheesy Steak Nachos, are a collaborative release from the great minds behind Cat-Noodle and La Plume. The backdrop - an Ultra Combo Arcade Backdrop - and the Cheesy Steak Nachos are the biggest brain child of Eimear and Bleue of Cat-Noodle, whilst there is a set of male - Izack -  female - Kelly - and couple poses from La Plume that fit perfectly into the backdrop. This collaboration is available until May 12th at N21... Such a brilliant pairing, such a great thing to play with, and the PERFECT place for a datenight!!

Drinks at Tram Diner

It's not often that I get to spend time with HellBone - for those of you that don't know, he's my hubby - Barbosa, in fact it's less frequent than the ECLIPSE at the moment, but when we do it's nice to just be a couple and not have to worry about RL or SL dramatics... Hell and I have been married for 5 years in RL, after meeting in SL, we don't always have the easiest of relationships but we're united and there's love, and that's what matters at the end of the day right?! 
So for the soon to happen close of the ECLIPSE, HellBone and I stopped at one of those grungy diners and had a few shots of Tequila!!! 

The grungy diner is actually pretty cool, it's one of those old Trams - an ECLIPSE release from DRD - that have been converted to form a retro looking restaurant! They serve junk food and tequila - thanks to a pose from Secret Poses - it was nice to just hang out, and force him to sit still for a few moments while I used him as a model! 
Of course he has his moments, kept trying to interrupt me every time I was about to take a shot of Tequila. I'm not sure if he wanted it all for himself but in the end it was a case of "Wait!" LOL... Drinking buddies are best when they don't come between you and your shot!

Time to go away for a while...

I am SO tired, SO very tired... I think I'm about to hit rock bottom if I don't get some chance to sleep - I think a week should be enough time lol - HellBone and I are really needing time to stop with RL and do something totally different, we've been working too hard for too long!  Both of us on 50 hour weeks... It's draining! It's making us crazy... 

It's not very often I get HellBone to sit still for long, but when I told him he'd get a nice cosy straight jacket, he was more than willing! It was the perfect opportunity for us to let you know that we're going away for a week... Running to hide in RL at a place called "Mummy and Daddy's House"- I'm going to see my family in the UK and I cannot be more excited! Although I couldn't leave without sending one last picture into the world!! It had to be this one!! 
I wont be having anymore time to share more of the AMAZING stuff from the Eclipse Event, but's true, it's allowed me to enjoy the fact that "October Never Dies!" this month. There is a lot more that I haven't been able to share like the DRD Swamp House or the CerberusXing Flesh Outfit, but this last picture really showcases just how Hell and I are feeling!!! 
We took our crazed photo at the Ex Machina "Welcome Home Asylum" Photo Scene... This place is great there's the room you see here, a padded cell and the dark creepy corridor that connects the two!! I was in love when I saw the possibilities! 
While we were setting up, preparing to be locked away, we were joined by some cute - or not so cute - furry friends... I wondered is Hell could see them, these Skull Head Foxes - by Maru Kado - but if he did, he didn't say anything, and they seemed harmless in a devious way... So I let them stay!
I'll be gone a week... Don't miss me too much! You may still see me liking things on Flickr and chatting on Facebook, I snuck a cellphone into the cell, but otherwise, it's time to get some much needed rest!!!

Bonnie and Clyde

It's not often that I do pictures with HellBone... He's the kinda guy that gets bored and starts asking "are you done yet?" about five minutes into me playing with the lighting, but sometimes I get a pose that he tells me he wants to do, so I have to seize that opportunity when it comes up! That was exactly the case when he saw a Bonnie & Clyde style pose set I got my hands on... His imagination ran away with him... 

The car is actually a part of the pose set that comes with the NANTRA "Bonnie & Clyde" and the pose above is one of those poses included... We look like we've carried out a bit of a heist with all the extra money HellBone laid around the set, but all in all I think we did a pretty good job at scrubbing up as Bonnie & Clyde... 
Of course, once we had stolen the money, what was the first thing we did... DANCE!!! This was my favourite photo of the shoot... A pose from a set called "Takes Two to Tango" - also by NANTRA - I love this shot of us dancing in the money!! His smirk!

He's No Prince Charming!

Cinderella went to the Ball... She danced all night, and sparkled to light up the room, but it wasn't there that she found her Prince Charming. He's out there somewhere, but she didn't get lucky at the ball... 
I'm not sure that my own personal Prince Charming even exists... I'd imagine that very few Cello Playing, Trekking Across Middle Earth, Monster Hunting, Vikings are still - or have ever been outside the movies - in existence. Yet I have a second best option... HellBone is kinda Viking-esque, kinda?! He may not be the stuff of every girl's dreams, he's definitely not a romantic and acts like a kid most of the time - did I ever tell you he's a Doodieman?! - but he has his moments... 

Sometimes, not often but sometimes... 
It was nice to just get him to pose with me, it's something that never happens very often, but I wanted to share this adorable pose from Signature Poses with you. The Pose is called Cherish, and it's available as one of a collection from the Signature Pose Stand at the Love Interruption Fair hosted by Depraved Nation. 
He doesn't really like posing for his picture, and couple poses I have to be careful with... He's not keen on doing anything sexual or overly cuddly! I was so happy he'd pose in this pose for me! 
Oh and HEY, with my eyes shut, he could be a Viking!! Maybe if I can get him to stop talking, perhaps?!

When life is hard... Punch It!

OK I mentioned it a few times in passing but as it's Monday morning and I am supposed to be at work, I think now is the time to talk a bit... I'm not going to go into all the boring and gory details but there is a possibility that in the next few weeks I could be losing my job and although I've always complained about it, when you think it may not be there anymore it's a real shock to the system! 
With that having been said I know that I have a bit of a fight on my hands, to prove that I am able to adapt, to strive and to keep my chin up.
Hell made a suggestion that would help... 

He suggested a bit of a work out - so unlike him I know - but I don't really think he anticipated the Right Hook that came his way, and although I may say different later, accidentally hit him on the chin! I will say, he was right, it was fun to beat him up LOL...

Whooping HellBone's Ass

Last night was FUN! I had a few drinkies with some of my favourite people and didn't stop laughing right up until the moment I logged out of SL for bed! I REALLY needed it, I needed some time to just let loose and laugh like a crazy loonpants... This morning though I woke up feeling crappy with cramp in my legs and sneezing almost constantly! So today I will be taking things a little easier, until I have to work this afternoon at least. I need to do some chores, but that's it NOTHING more! 
Except perhaps, beat HellBone's butt on a game on the Playstation?!

A moment with Hell

Moments like this do not happen very often but I think that it is time I shared a picture of Hell and I... Just Hell and I... No one else!! Don't look so shocked LOL I know it is rare but I do have moments with my hubby sometimes! Not that often and usually under duress - on his part I might add - but when I eventually get him to stop building, shooting, being a fart machine to entertain his brother Mongo, and he sits still for a few minutes, he actually makes a fairly good model... I have to work fast, he won't remain still for long, but I gotta hand it to him, in recent months my hubby has become pretty hot! 

What started as an argument with Solde prior to her wedding - between Hell and Solde, I was not getting involved in that fight - has now become HellBone constantly shopping, being a fashionista - even if he does really only dress in biker style - and looking pretty good! He's even attracting more attention from the ladies hehe... It's so cute when he gets all unsure if someone is flirting with him LOL...

Video Games at His House

Last night a massive storm swept over Holland and so today the world is wet but far too humid to do anything that involves too much in the form of movement... 
So like me Rudh has just taken a shower and dropped down onto the couch with HellBone to let him play video games whilst she tries and fails to read a book LOL... He's far too into shouting at the games for my liking, I don't know why he needs to tell all the other characters off when clearly he's the one that has trouble aiming at things LOL... I didn't say that, don't tell him I said that LOL... BUT it does mean that for once, he was sat still long enough for me to shoot him!!

One of the newest poses from Come Soon - yes I am a blogger for their brand but even then I have to admit I am addicted because you get such an easy picture taking experience as the props are already there for you LOL - which you can get your hands on at the latest round of No.21, is the His House Collection. This pose is set number 1 and it really sums up the theme of things in our house when HellBone and I are off-line. I will include the original store ad for the pose at the end of this ramble, but this is seeing things from the other side. The TV is set to play something like Call of Duty - though you may want to correct me if I'm wrong, and HellBone convinced me that I had to change what was on the screen - hence why I have edited my photo for a screen shot of Payday: The Heist - his personal addiction!

I + You

HellBone is one of the hardest people in the entirety of SL to get to sit still so that he can pose for the pictures I take. He's also fairly picky about what he will pose in too LOL... I mean trying to get him to sit still is one thing, but trying to make him pose me with me in something that could be considered a little bit sexy and he's running away faster than shoppaholics run at a bargain sale. 
Yet sometimes, rarely and more likely if it's with his besties than with me, he will pose... Mainly because I get stroppy, but sometimes a girl has to do these things to get what she wants LOL... 
This was one of those times, I don't think I could have done this pose with ANYONE else - maybe with the exception of my bestieface - but it had to be HellBone... 

The pose is a new one that Come Soon has released at their mainstore and on marketplace... This time it is in association with a store I've never heard of before called Your Dreams. Apparently Your Dreams is a store that specialises in making décor for weddings, which may be why I have never heard of it LOL... I did pop over to take a look, and things are very beautifully made - stylish and well textured - so if I ever was going to get married officially in SL then I'd make this a stop on my shopping tour! Anyway, went off on a ramble there LOL, but the new pose is called "I + You", it's so cute but it's definitely something I needed my hubby for! 
As for all the stuff I'm wearing, I finally went through my LuxeBox... I know I am slow at it... To be totally honest with you, there were a few really nice things in the box but I'm not entirely sure I'd have bought them if they were released alone. It was fun for the gamble but I don't think I'll be paying out again in June... I was a little disappointed! I'm sure others will tell me I'm crazy, but although I loved the gamble I don't think I can afford the risk of getting things that are cute but not my style again... There are so many cool things coming... The Arcade is coming... I know that 1000L would be better spent elsewhere! 
Still, early Thursday morning and you've had a rant and a little love mixed up like a perfectly edible breakfast... But I think it's time I actually found some breakfast, because my tummy needs a little love hehe...

Something much needed, and although we still have a lot of preparation to do at home today I cannot wipe the smile off my face... ENGLAND HERE WE COME!!! 

We're going home for a week... It sounds like a strange thing to say since technically my "home" is now in Holland, but those of you that live in a country - or any place for that matter - that you're not native to will no doubt understand.
No matter how much I have tried to assimilate myself into "being Dutch", it will never feel as truly restful for me as when I am able to just be English. You miss the little things, as much as you miss the bigger things like the family you've moved away from. It sounds crazy to say, as I cannot stand it in Holland, but I really cannot wait to do something as simple as go to the supermarket!
On a little side note, while I am in the UK I may not be logging into SL as much - in fact I doubt I will for anything more than picking up messages very sporadically while I am at home - but I have a list of posts ready to go so that when I wake up I can still have coffee and feed my blogging addiction LOL...

Nefarious Inventions of the Military

Today has been a quiet day, but something amazing happened... I was going through things that I need to take pictures of - happily minding my own business - when HellBone piped up that he loved one set in particular and could he pose in a photo with things if I needed a model... I almost fell out of my chair LOL... He never, ever likes to pose with me or for me... Most of the time I ask him he spends a lot of time complaining that it takes too long LOL... Today, though, I grabbed the chance... 

He's been changed a bit recently... Wonder if he is trying to impress another woman or something LOL... But he's become a bit of a "fashionista", and OK I used the term lightly because he knows what he likes and won't wear something because it is the hot new fashion, but in the past he only ever changed once in a blue moon! 
His interest was peaked by this awesome set from nefarious.inventions - which I am a little late in blogging but I didn't want to miss out on sharing it with you, especially when an opportunity like this arose! Anyway, the nefarious.inventions inventors created an amazing set of military base style décor called "drafted"... It includes a whole heap of things for a soldier to make his base camp feel like home.

Mr & Mrs LOGO Head!

It's taken me a very long time to get to this point, but I  made the decision and took the plunge. It took me HOURS of discussions with myself - my poor head was spinning - and even Hell was done before I was... I tried on many different types, found one I kinda liked and kept trying it on until I loved it... After that there was just one thing holding me back, but thanks to the kindness of a stranger, I was able to stop myself holding back and free fall... 
The funny thing though is that all the time we've been together, Hell and I have always said we'd never be matchy-matchy, in the same way that some twee couples can be... Not that that's a bad thing but I am one of those people that needs to look like an individual and matching my hubby just makes me feel a bit cheesy... Until Now at least... HellBone and I are now Mr & Mrs LOGO Head LOL... 

Before I elaborate on things though, this has to be one of my all time favourite photos of HellBone and I. It shows that sometimes he can be my strength and support, sometimes he can carry me and the vast majority of the time I feel safe too... All these things are shown in this picture, and he made me smile when I asked him to make me a list of what he was wearing and he said "You". 
Now to the head thing... I'd been considering the Mesh Head idea for a while, and had tried on all of the ones I could get my hands on demos for, but somehow none of them seemed right. I wasn't willing to settle for one that I didn't feel comfortable in, but then I stumbled upon the LOGO Chloe head and my mind was made up. I found the head I wanted, the appliers for a Glam Affair Skin that I wanted and then hit another stumbling block... My Scar!!
I wasn't ready to give up my scar - I'm still not - but after summing up some courage I contacted antielle's owner Kaorinette to see if there was any possibility that my favourite non-applier scar could be put into an OMEGA applier... DID YOU KNOW THAT ANTIELLE CLOSED?! I was so sad to find that out - although I know that CURELESS is her new store! She was so gracious, so friendly and so happy to hear that I'd made one of her designs part of my everyday SL that she was willing to lend me a hand - thank you so much Kaorinette, it means so much to me! 

What do you think of my before and after mugshots?! It's going to take me a little bit of getting used to even though things are proportionally the same - or pretty similar at least - but I really like it... Expect to see me pulling all kinds of weird and wonderful faces in the near future hehe... Now that I can smile without it looking evil, I'm going to be doing a whole lot more of that!!!

Rudh the Queen of Monsterland

Wonderland might have the Queen of Hearts, but there is a far darker place in the deep recesses of my mind... Monsterland! Rudh the Queen of Monsterland makes the Queen of Hearts look like a Disney Princess... She smiles as she watches the torture that her many minions can inflict on the White Monarchy, laughing as they are turned blood red to match her own kingdom. 

Well actually, it isn't just in my mind if the minds of a particular design duo are anything to go by, but can you tell I had a LOT of fun with this, and I even managed to get HellBone involved with me hehe... Perfect as we needed a new couple photo hehe... 
I've always been addicted to Wonderland, and as I've grown up that pretty Disneyfied version has also modified into a darker place, though when I saw the items created by a dream design duo of CURELESS [+] and nefarious.inventions - that you can get your hands on at The Epiphany until February 2nd - I felt like they'd reached into my brain and pulled things into the SL world from it!!! I AM TOTALLY AND UTTERLY IN LOVE WITH THIS COLLECTION!!! I squeaked with excitement when I saw it, but as soon as I could get into the crazy busy Epiphany Event, this was the booth I headed for! I got myself a FULL SET - although the crown is missing from the photo - and even managed to have enough points for the exclusive Chess Board!

Bearbosa's - Hell's Bear Dealership!

My addiction caused a strange and unexpected shift of my Hubby's attention from creating vehicles to teddy-bears...
Yes you read that right... HellBone started off an interest in a certain brand of teddy-bear that was spawned due to me wanting a collection and the realisation that there is a great demand for these bears...
HellBone now calls himself the Booger Bear Dealer and has started a brand called Bearbosa's!

I started collecting Boogers bears a while ago now, and HellBone seemed to enjoy hunting for them for me... He has now kept on searching for them and has become a "Bear Dealer"... He's a fashionista, an interior designer and now a bear dealer...

Hell is in Flower!

This morning I don't feel like writing about me, today I feel like writing a bit of a tribute post. A post to someone who has recently found a love of one of my favourite SL past-times, and has actually become a little bit of an addict. He constantly asks now if there are any manly sales taking place, and has even been heard to call himself a "Fashionista"... Don't faint please, but I am talking about HellBone LOL... 

Since he had a make-over he has become much more interested in all things shopping and fashion. His SLINK Body has finally - after all this time and so many years of poking - made him see the fun in dressing up his dolly, and there is NO WAY he'd only wear one outfit every day for months like he used to LOL...
It was even so much of a change that when an old friend came to visit the other day, and suggested he needed a beard, not only did he find a beard he chose one with flowers in it!!! What the heck is going on with my hubby?!
It was a photo opportunity that was too much to waste, and the perfect location for that was Wanderstill at Ode, I thought the look wasn't going to last long at that time, but fast forward a few days and he's STILL wearing the beard hehe... Makes me laugh so much to see him like that! Who'd have ever thought it, my hubby, the fashionista LOL!
