Froggin' Fishin'!

It's been a Lazy Sunday, and there has been nothing much going on in my life except a day to relax... Boy was it necessary, it was lovely and so very necessary... 
I kicked back and let myself have a day of NOTHING that has left me feeling relaxed and comforted... 

Today I wanted to take a day of just chillaxation by doing something I don't normally have a chance to do... Nothing... 
I decided to take the day that I would be "Gone Fishing" - a backdrop that I have actually altered a little by adding some swamp like things such as the trees and the grasses and things, to the Synnergy.Tavis Gone Fishing Backdrop - I wanted to be a lazy little Frog - thanks to the idea coming out from the BeSpoke Frog Gizzy head and the Feet Frog - and spend the day fishing in the bayou!

The Disposal of a Body

Things have been strange for the past couple of weeks... I know that there have been worse things in the world but I'm kinda falling into a black hole. In the past week, I've lost two people as the Grim Reaper took them away across the River Styx... 
I'm half asleep on the sofa this evening, and I can't stop thinking about these people. One was family, the other was more like family than the first, but neither were people that really deserved it. I'd never wish death on anyone, but there are definitely people that deserve the pain of loss more. 
I'm in such a weird mood, I am frustrated and moody, I don't want to be around people, but I need a hug. Don't mess with me this week, it's probably the best advice that I can give... 

Honestly I don't mean to appear mean and moody today... I'm sorry for anyone that gets in my way but I'm in such a mood I could go on a murder rampage. 
I know the perfect place to throw a bagged body over a bridge, if you head out into the middle of the wilderness you'll get to the Overpass - a gorgeous backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - I'd recommend a sturdy vehicle, like a H&C Wheels Truck - the Reverence for example - as the rods get a little rough... 
Be strong so you can lift the Plastic Wrapped Body Bag and drop it over the edge, OH and don't forget to toss the gun over the edge too!

Aren't we all Human?

This post I've been on the fence about writing for sometime now... Looking at the world around me has made me feel like I really needed to take a deep look into politics, social rights and justice for all, and I have to say that after everything that I've seen reading and hearing I came to the major realization that I've been both closeted and left in the dark about so many things that I don't know whether to be be scared or furious! 

Some people may think of me as a hypocrite for jumping on a bandwagon, and that's a fair opinion to have, but in all honesty for me personally there is more to it than that... The recent events springing from the death of Floyd George at the hands of the police and causing many places not just within his homeland of the States but also across the world, has forced me to stop and really take a look... Yes I'll agree that it's terrible I haven't really paid attention to it until now, but my eyes have been opened... 

I've come to realize that my initial thoughts of "All Lives Matter" was one that came from a closeted, white girl perspective. 

While it's true that all lives SHOULD matter - should being the key word here - it's not the case, there's still so much racism and inequality, and that's not just aimed at people with darker skin! It's Pride Month, and even though having different sexual preferences has become more of an accepted thing, that's still considered abnormal by some people...  People of differing sexes or ages, people that have different hair colours, people that don't fit the norm of what shape humans should be... The list goes on, a list of discrimination in society that claims to have stamped out social differences, it is a bigger crisis than the pandemic that the world is still in the grips of! 

It shouldn't matter what colour you are, it shouldn't matter where you're from, it shouldn't matter your background... What should matter is that we are ALL human, we're all made of the same squishy blood and guts - the changes on the outside just make us beautiful and diverse... All lives should matter... ALL LIVES! 

We cannot change the history we have left behind, the bad or the good, but until things change with the inequalities of colour, race, gender - nothing will improve and no lives will matter! I will never fully understand, but I will stand! NO LIVES MATTER, TILL BLACK LIVES MATTER! All lives will matter when all lives are treated equally!

Glam for a Night with the Ladies

For some reason I feel like doing something short and sweet, simple and pretty, and a little glam... I'm kinda tired, kinda stressed, and have been more than a little bit bored! So after a day of work, the little glamazon me decided to change from my gross work uniform and into something a little more divalicious as I head out with my Doggie for drinks...

My Kitty needs a check-up...

They say that animals can catch Corona like humans, and there has been an outbreak of people trying to get rid of their pets either by giving them up or even having them put to sleep!!! It's terrible!!! 
My kitty needs to go to a vet for her teeth to be cleaned but I cant take her right now, so Rudh is going to take her kitty for a check-up...

I took my kitten to the Animal Clinic at Fox Hollow in her pretty pink carrier - thanks to a cute new pose series from Secret Poses called Shiro the Cat, which is available at Ota-Con - luckily she was OK but now I just have to wait for being able to take my kitty to the vet in RL!!!

Little Diesel Punks Make Plans

I've been having a few issues to motivate myself with getting my head into blogging as of late, I don't know why I have so much free time and could do anything I want - the sky's the limit! - but I think that's what is causing me some issues... Too much time and choice! 
So today I gathered together my Hubby and my Daddy for a brainstorming session... I was the thinker, Chopper was picking up signals and HellBone was mixing it up... There was far too much beer consumed, but in the end it helped! Look what happened... 

We sat around drinking some beers - on a pose set from Secret Poses called "Drinking Here" - wearing our awesome Little Diesel Punk Helmets, home made of course - although really we bought them from peculiar things at the amazing Engine Room. I say that we bought them, but the hat I'm wearing is actually an awesome group gift that flashes on and off as you're thinking!! 

I had to show the hat off with a GIF like that because I wanted to show the flashing!!! It also gives me a chance to clearly show the amazing flashing Mesmer Specs from Pirocious, that I picked up at the new round of Aenigma! They flash in bright rainbow colours, as well as black and white! Aren't they fab?!

Yes... I am a Crazy Cat Lady!

I LOVE Lazy Sundays, the only thing wrong with them is that it means tomorrow is Monday and the start of another working week! Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn... 
I'm spending the day relaxing and reading a book, and playing with my RL Furbabies... This left Rudh to her own devices too, but then she like me has similar hobbies and spent most of the day pampering her fur babies! Though when she does it, she looks glamorous, a little like a Lady of the Manor! 

The lady of the manor look was actually all started because of the most amazing kitty themed pose prop in the universe... A mainstore Gacha release from Image Essentials called "Crazy Cat Lady" - with this pose and sofa props being the Ultra Rare! - the store's designer, Kay Weston, gives us a glance into the minds of our local Crazy Cat Lady's. We all know one, in fact when I grow up it's what I'm aspiring to be!! If HellBone will let me of course!

I'll Fight... When the Seasons Change

I'm a fighter... I know I am, I just need to find it buried way down deep inside. 
There are all sorts of things that bring this fighter out of me... Pain for those I love being the number one reason you'll get me mad, but also things I witness around me in the world. By nature I'm not a very confident person, I run from confrontation and even though I'm not proud of it, I admit that I can't always stand up for myself! 
It's time for me to start being a fighter... Fight for what I want and keep it that way...

One thing that I find always makes me get into the mood, no matte what mood I want to get myself into is music... So on a day like today when I want to get myself pumped up for a fight, I reach for a little Five Finger Death Punch to get myself in the mood!! Today is one of those days, I have a new favourite song, and it's bringing out my inner feisty side. So I'm posing like a champ today...

When the Gift Box is this AWESOME...

I've been shopping today... It's a great way to spend a Lazy Sunday, but on my travels I found something super exciting and I HAVE to share it with you... 
I was checking out landmarks for stores I know and love, one of those is the pose store Reve Obscura, and when I landed I spotted something kinda new... There was a new store close by called N.Skizb, and it drew my attention!!! Let me tell you a little bit about what I found... 

N.Skizb is a pose store, very similar in style to the poses made by Reve Obscura - which makes a little sense seeing as the pose maker is the lady of Mr. Lyriqz Xue of Reve Obscura - you can get single statics for women, the three as yet available couples poses and even some VERY awesome props poses! I was very impressed by what I saw, and although the store is still fairly empty, you can tell that even though it's early days, this store is going to be great!!! 
I bought myself a few pretty poses - no doubt I'll end up going back in for more too - and I suppose I should point out that until April 26th all of the currently available poses are 50% Off... 25L ONLY FOR SINGLES AND PROPS, AND 50L ONLY FOR COUPLES POSES!!! FTW!!! 
Though what caught my attention most, before I'd even tried the poses themselves, was the box that they came packaged in... YES I am posing with the store box in my picture today, but when you see such a cute box how can you not be more than a little excited by the predictably amazing things to come... I am really looking forward to this new store's designs, and cannot wait to see what they come up with, but don't trust me... Snow Days mean Lazy Days

It's a snow day... The snow fell last night and now it's absolutely bloody freezing. Not a lot of snow shows on the ground, it's just a thin dusting, but really it's more of a problem of the wind chill... It's -6°c right now, but with the wind chill factor it feels more like -13°c. Not really a normal temperature for the Netherlands where we're supposedly warming up for spring?!
So today I'm having a lazy day. More curling up on the sofa reading my book... it's getting exciting in there LOL... Lucky Rudh gets a lazy time too!!

It's funny really, I mean you never feel the cold in SL, so going out in the snow in a bikini never seems an issue. Though when I feel cold in RL, I wrap myself up warm, even in SL?! Just like in RL too I'm wearing lazy clothes while doing some sorting in my SL house. Sometimes SL really matches my RL way too much... 
I have some super soft floppy looking Chill Pants - from Spirit - on Rudh right now, with this adorably soft warm looking over sized Shy Sweater - from VCO which may still be available at Hentai Fair, although the event closes it's doors today! 
While doing some cleaning I found something I'd totally forgotten about, and feel kind guilty for having done so... Before Christmas, for a gacha event that may have been Pocket Gacha, but please don't quote me on that, Fapple released a collection of furniture centred around a gorgeous collection of Bean Bag chairs... The Holly Jolly Bean Bag Chair Collection, has a few traces of Christmas but there are also a series of different chairs all with a cute animal theme... Something for a lover of all different animals... Worth trying the machine as all of the animals are SO CUTE!!!

OMGAAAH HAIR!

OH MY GAH IT'S ALMOST HERE... The hairiest event of the year opens tomorrow - Saturday July 1st 2017 - and it's looking like this year is going to be a really good one... 
I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen that was allowed early access, as part of this year's blogging team, and I can honestly say everyone is in for a treat... There's lots for guys not just girls this year, so in support of those little children needing the wigs let's remove our hair, try on some demos and prepare ourselves to get into the event and help more kids, get wigs! 

As you can see Rudh was more than a little excited!! There are SO MANY different hair brands spread over the four sims, from some of SL's top hair designers. Each of these designers have at least three brand new exclusives for the event, and many have freebies or cheapies available for the customers. PLUS this year sees the introduction of the Hair Fair Hares each of which are being sold exclusively at the event for a 100% donation to the cause - you can see them in the pictures of my favourite goodies below! 
Just a few little tips to help you have an easier time of things at the Hair Fair when it opens tomorrow; 
- Remove anything scripted to help reduce lag - no one is looking at you, they only want the hair so who cares what you look like right? 
- Take your time, there is no rush and things will reach you eventually... There are also handy redelivery vendors in many of the stores! 
- Stores with a floating symbol above them contain Male or Unisex hair - so it's easy for the boys to spot them. 
- Remember you can walk around the pathways at the event, it's a continuous loop but beware of sim crossings! 
As I mentioned before there are many freebies or cheapies are available in many stores, these are my favourites from each sim... 

Please bear in mind though that no LMs will be provided until tomorrow when the event opens... 
Good luck getting in and grabbing your hair... While you're there maybe chuck a few extra lindens into the pot and get yourself a Hare!!!

I need a Man!

I count myself as lucky to be able to work for some awesome pose makers as a part of their blogging teams. I LOVE working for Come Soon, Signature Poses and Image Essentials... Not only does it help me feed my addiction by providing me with plenty of poses to use but I do have one thing that is always a bit of a personal issue... COUPLE POSES! 
As much as I love my hubby, he's never been keen on posing - especially in anything couply or sexual - so sometimes I find myself despairing a little when it comes to couple poses. I want to use them, in the past I've used them with teddy bears or posed alone, and for this to the designers that I work for I'm sorry!!! 

My best way around this is to try as hard as I can, but sometimes I wonder if I should find myself a male model - make a 'malt' or find a new friend perhaps... I ask all that I know if they want to pose for me but I hate bugging people to ask LOL... So today, I'm going to share with you a new pose from COME SOON and will as always include the ad photo so that you can see what it's really meant to look like LOL...

Time for an Adventure!

I was stuck at home all weekend this weekend! Not that that is ever a bad thing but it meant that I was able to be a bit of a busy bee when it came to things like getting some pictures taken and edited... I still maintain the fact that being a blogger, one of the worst things you need to do is make lists with urls of all the locations where you got things! There must be a simple way of doing it?!
I edited so many pictures that I have way too much choice and had to play 'eenie meanie miney mo' when it came to choosing what I would share this morning... THIS was the winner, this was the mo!
My MC Sister Lil recently made over her land again, going for a farmy feel, so we jumped into a car and went exploring!

The car that we are using is actually a pose prop from Come Soon Poses... It's one of those items for the newer secret collection style events that has hit the SL scene as of late, this time the men's version known as the "Swag Bag!" Swag Bag is like the Luxebox which I mentioned before. You pay a set price for a secret item from a handful of designers and will not know what it is until you open it. I know a LOT of people that still like the luxebox but I remember being sorely disappointed after all of the hype so I'm not sure I buy into this type of event - but hey cannot please everyone all the time right?!
This pose from the September Swag Bag does please me though... It's the perfect amount of awesome and silly, that works so well with Lil and I! This is the Come Soon Adventure 02 Pose, and it comes complete with the awesome car! It was just Lil, Me and the countryside... OH and her Ferret Pet - from Jian - that stowed away in our adventure car!
I wonder what Lil sees through the spyglass... I wonder why I didn't put black paint on the end of it before I gave it to her to look through lol... I'd have loved to see her with a ring around her eye... Such Comedy LOL...

I've got that Wanderlust...

In the summer, everyone seems to be going on vacations... Travelling to explore interesting new places or going somewhere they can just kick back and unwind. It's the talk of the RL office that I work in, people constantly chatting about planned holidays and places they recommend from the past.
This year I won't be going anywhere... Least not for a while! Stuck in the position of working two jobs and not being able to afford to take time off of either, still perhaps in a few months I will be able to at least go home for a few days.
Until that time I have to listen to everyone I know talking about their planned adventures... I'm getting that feeling of Wanderlust... Perhaps that is why I've taken up residence in my Caravan more than any of the other houses I call home...

When I was younger I loved to travel. I wanted to see everything. I even jumped on a plane and flew to the other side of the world on my own seeking an adventure... New Zealand has been crossed off my bucket list, and the memories I have of that trip will remain with me always! Yet HellBone is a little less adventurous. I want to see places like China and India, he feels he wants to head to America and has this grand plan that he wants to ride to Sturgis on a Harley Davidson!
Still for now I have to make do with lazing around in my dust bunny Caravan - from the Wanderlust collection - and gaze at the Wanderlust wall hanging - from brocante which is available at No.21 until the end of the day today - planning my adventures in my mind.
Luckily because I am not travelling so much, my suitcases and trunks are providing excellent furniture pieces in the caravan... Tables and even chairs can be made from these things, chairs like this awesome mini couch from Lewd - a Trunk Seat that is available at the latest round of Cosmopolitan until July 16th by the way - so very comfortable, perhaps I will let my daydreams become nap dreams?!

Saturday Biker Girl

It's Saturday... The day of the weekend when you end up doing things that you don't have time for during the week. Today my day will consist of grocery shopping and Gator tasks - meetings, rides and the like, but if I'm lucky I may be able to find some time to pop into my favourite second hand store. I love going shopping for treasures that other people don't want anymore! You never know what you're going to find, perhaps that is why I am so addicted to the Gacha Yardsales LOL... 
But for now I'm going to just take it easy, get my bike out of the shed and relax...

I was just trying it on...

Hehe well this is embarrassing... No one was meant to see me testing out what it would feel like to wear a halo... Ooops! I had to prop it up on my little horns so that I could see it, and the thing wouldn't stay on... It's almost like I'm not meant to wear a halo or be angelic!!! But hey, when someone leaves a Halo laying around, you can't help yourself but see how it would look right?! 

The halo and horns actually come as a set from ShiZZo - the super cute accessories store that is owned by one half of the awesome Signature Pose team, Shilenni - and you too can pick up a halo that is just laying around at GEN:Neutral until June 2nd. 
While I'm showing off the new horns that I got, I should also mention a few other things... Things like these adorable face piercings from The Horror! - which come in light and dark versions and a range of colours for each set - or the nose piercing that I picked up at Bokeh... I mean I know padlocks are not meant to go through the nose but it just looked so cute!!! My collar says it all... The Kibitz Leather Collars say it like it is, and I think I have the right one for me too! 
For now though maybe I should just put the halo back and hope that I don't get into trouble for trying it on LOL...

Testing out Furniture

I may have said this before but I am about to say it again... I LOVE taking pictures and always feel happy having done so, but the vast majority of my blog posts focus on people... When it comes to taking pictures of anything that's not people I feel like I find myself falling flat! I seem to loose all confidence in my skills and feel very much like a fish out of water! 
Though when I was sent the brocante collection from the latest round of Uber, I thought "suck it up Rudh, let's try this"... 

This is the gorgeous new collection from brocante. The Metal Frame Bed comes in a selection of different colours at Uber, where you can also find the Barn Door Sliders and the Arrow Marquee lights too! I love them as a set, especially against this slightly crazy wallpaper, which is a group gift from SilentSparrow. 
It's not the best photo of furniture, I know people that take a LOT better, but as one of my practice shots... I'm pretty happy with it, and the furniture is just awesome!

Breakfast with my Girlies

Easter Monday - or as it's called in Holland "Second Easter Day" - is gray and cold and windy here... Sounds like the perfect day for me to spend all day in my jammies, but rather than vegging out in front of the TV I think I will spend a lovely day just messing about in SL taking some pictures!! In fact I already have ideas taking shape in my mind... YAY! 
But first BREAKFAST!!! As it's still technically Easter I think it's time for some Eggy Soldiers - ya know where you cut the toast into thin strips so that you can dip it into a soft boiled egg - that should be eaten in our SL Garden, because well it's always something you can do here even when the RL weather sucks! 

Not sure that eating eggs at my new breakfast bar - a Lost Junction creation by the way - which I made Hell drag outside so I could enjoy the fresh air was such a good idea. I feel a bit mean eating my eggs with my hens so close by, especially seeing the cute little chicks!! 
Never fear though, my chickens come from the friendliest farm - the 8f8 New Beginnings farm to be exact - and I am reliably informed that the eggs I am eating from the dust bunny kitchen are only those which would not have become little chicks - they are laid in a place where no boys are allowed hehe... It's very hard right now not to make a joke about cocks trust me LOL... 
So while I sit here and giggle to myself, trying not to get Egg on my new tops from SPIRIT or my new skirt from KITJA, I am plotting my photography path today and hoping that I can find some more chocolate eggs in a while LOL... Hope you enjoy your second day off!!!

Evolution is moving on down the tracks...

Yesterday I took a photo in SL that has made me very very happy. Normally I feel a little unsure about my pictures, I worry that they aren't right and although I know I shouldn't I really find myself worrying about what others will think of them... I tend to feel exposed if I have not taken them into photo-shop and played around with them a little, which is weird because although I am putting my work out there as an "artist" which should be an expression of personality and opinion, I find that I often have to mute things... That being said, OK I know that I am a little on the crazy side with doing random things like being a princess one day and a monster the next! 
Yet while I was taking this photo I had a sense of peace, I wanted to do something that required no edit and - although I did crop this photo down - it's as raw as when I shot it in SL! I wanted to see what I can do without being able to touch up and make things look as I want them... and being honest with you... I LOVE IT! 

I guess the feeling behind this photo works very well with the location and photography props that I have used within it. The photography pose is one that is part of the Evolution of a Hipster series from Image Essentials. There has definitely been some evolution in the way I work as a photographer, and this may be the pinnacle of my work LOL... I do find myself thinking "I'm not up to their standard", which is terrible as everyone has a different style and a different way of viewing the exact same things... 
I guess the location is kinda like the name of the pose series too... This is Netherwood by Lauren Bentham, and as always with her locations, it is really well thought out and very very pretty. The following of the train track is a path to a beautiful landscape, but then walking along a path, an evolution, they all kinda spark of the same thing... Moving forwards... 
Perhaps I have moved forwards without even realising?!

Waiting in the Rain... Wonder if it will stop?!

I don't want to start yet another post with a rant, so I will let you in on some exciting news... Last week I started work on a second RL job... Suddenly I am finding myself very busy, but hopefully it will only last a while until I am settled and can tell the job that I constantly complain about that I am leaving. I really, really cannot wait for that day... Though as of right now I have a second job, and all I will say is that I am REALLY enjoying it so far - oh and that it's the type of job I have wanted for a while as I am working for a RL company in SL!! How many people do you know that wouldn't want to be able to work in SL?!

LOL OK so it's not what Rudh is doing for her line of work in the photo, but I just couldn't resist putting this photo with the revelation that I am working for a RL job in SL - finally hehe!!!
The location is one that I have wanted to use for a while now, this is the landing point of 1951 Underground - a retro location with a less than subtle nod towards the kinky and playful side of entertainment!
I will admit that I went a little modern on my style of dress - rather than make myself look like a 1950s style Pin-up - mostly that was due to my new dress from SPIRIT, available at UBER. The dress just screamed perfect when I added the Arabella Boots - from Candydoll - to the look, while I kept my hair very simple in a Truth style!
I wonder if I can get this car to stop?!
