Rainbows in the Stars

The stars are shining bright tonight, as they twinkle it's in rainbow colours, blues and pinks, yellows and greens... They sparkle and twinkle and glitter in the dark... They have invaded the White Tower - a skybox created for Midnight Order by ChiMia - of the Midnight Order, which is slowly preparing to disappear into the darkness when the doors close on the 20th of the month... The members of the order gathering together inside the towers walls, basking in their last moments to dance in the light... 

Sometimes I like to make dark, macabre and brutal looking pictures, but I LOVE times when I get all pretty and sparkly... 
The sparkling stars were an inspiration for me today, the starsigns forming a 'Starry Halo' - an accessory from LuluB! - and whilst her head is in the clouds, she's sparkling... The lightning in her eyes sending sparks from her that reflect the colours and glitter through the room...

Flowers to Cheer You Up!

I'm having one of those off days, I don't want to start sounding negative or whiny but please bear with me and I'll try to be back on top form as soon as I can. It's just one of those days where no matter what I try to do, I can't stop feeling like hiding. I'm trying to remain positive, but I think the best you're going to get out of me today is a little gesture of love before I disappear back into hiding - preferably under a blanket with a good book and a cup of tea for company... 
I brought you a gift, a pretty flower from the Spring in my garden, to yours...

This post started - and still in many ways - with a happy positive vibe. A feeling of the beginnings of Spring, the prettiness of colour coming to life and the blooming of flowers! It's one of my favourite times of the year - after Autumn of course! 
What started out as a gorgeous yellow- gold "Rosalie" top from Decoy - which is available now at Collabor88 for anyone that wants to know - became a cacophony of colour that started my happy Spring feelings... They are there, and will be there a while, just as soon as I get over these feelings... 
It went down a very floral route because of another Collabor88 release though. The addition of this gorgeous Rose Mori Eyepatch from Schadenfreude just called for more and more flowers! 
Some may say, a little too overboard with the flowers, but it did cheer me up just a little... Now though I'm going to find the book and tea and blanket I mentioned!

Hoops and Snakes

It's FRIDAY!!! That means that once again it's party time, and the fun of the weekend is here... I work over the weekends as with every weekend, but at least the time and atmosphere feels different. It always feels a little more like a party time, especially on Friday! So I'm letting my party animal out, and for some reason she's hanging upside on a hoop with a snake?! There's something a little bit Slave for You ish to this, isn't there?! 

Going back to those 00's days when Britney was a "queen of pop", even though you shouldn't get me started on Britney LOL... I could rant about it for days!
Still, because it's Friday, and because I'm trying to stay awake enough to be in a party mood, I decided to get a little party girl, show girl going on... 
Hanging in an -Extra- Hoop, which is actually a pose set released by the store, she's artfully draped a large Boa Neck Hugger - a pretty animesh snake from Jian - around her shoulders. Took her a while to learn to look graceful upside down like this though, she'd either fall off or the snake wouldn't play along, but still once she got the hang of it, it worked like a charm and wowed the crowd that had gathered to see her...

Date Me, I'm a Chicken Expert

It's the month of LURRRRRVEEEE... Valentines seems to be taking over everything in SL and even though it's a fun tradition, I am not really that into Valentines... I'm much more of an Anti-Valentine. 
Though recently I got sent some poses, which are based on the TV Series, The Bachelor. Now I'll admit I've not seen a full season of this series but I know how the show works, and have seen other variations of it... My mother in law is constantly talking about a Dutch version called "Boer zoekt Vrouw" (Farmer seeks a Wife)... Though I've always rooted for the somewhat weird, kinda kookie ladies! So going back to the set I mentioned well...

Loving my Highland Cows

I wake up in the morning and jump out of bed, grabbing a coffee I, dash into Second Life... Why I hear you wondering... Well, I had a bit of an Epiphany! Not the Gacha Sale, a light-bulb came on in my mind and made me start thinking more clearly. One of the things I've been feeling down about lately is not getting the likes I want on Flickr, but WHY am I letting that bother me?! My blog is the place I come to relax, to share the things I love, and if I'm lucky have the support of some wonderful people along the way. Sure, Flickr likes are great, they open the doors for you, but it truly sometimes seems like a popularity contest more than anything... I should just be doing the things I love, for ME, and if other's like what I do then that's great!!! 
SO this morning, I'm going to share one of my new greatest loves... My Highland Cows!

I've always loved Highland Cows in RL, and maybe it's because we are so very similar LOL... They have a similar colour hair as my RL hair, they are big and bulky and well OK they are prettier than me, but they also don't seem to mind if their hair is all over the place LOL...
I was SO excited to see that Jian - SL's best animal makers, though I'm not sucking up when I say that, I'm just being honest in my opinion - had in fact created Highland Cows for this month's Uber release. I COULDN'T GET INTO UBER FAST ENOUGH... My Hubby had to try to get in too LOL... 
They live on my farm, outside my quirky little house, and make me happy... Is it weird that I give them kisses sometimes LOL - posed using the Won't You B Mine poses from NANTRA available at ULTRA - but they are so lovely to log in to hehe...

Frozen Crystal Queen

SL seems to have fast moved through the Autumn colours and is already abundant with snowy scenes, Christmas is well and truly on it's way to domination in SL. Christmas is abound, with sales events and themed releases springing up all over the grid... IT'S NOVEMBER PEOPLE!!! 
Still I can't help letting the magic take over just a little, I want to let the magical pretty fantasy feeling wash over me, and I guess, what better way to start than with a little sparkle! 

It could be the sparkle in the air that this time of year seems to have, which drew me to these amazing crystals and throne at Whimsical - they are SO Whimsical and so devine, I was powerless to resist... Made by the amazing {LORE} store, the throne is available with adult and PG versions, and the Crystals are available in light and dark versions with 2 different styles up for grabs... 
It made me create an Ice Queen feel in my story telling mind... A princess abandoned in a the snowy caverns, deep underground... Twisted perhaps into someone that ruled with an icy glare and a chilling beauty. New Job as a Porn Store Clerk

Work is such a rude word sometimes isn't it? It spoils our fun, and it's something that we have to do to bring in a few pennies to pay the bills... It can be made more fun, however, if you have a good job that you can enjoy, that makes things a little more interesting. I love my job working with college students helping them to learn to use SL, but Rudh needed something a little more challenging - as if being the Secretary for the Gators wasn't enough - she found herself a new job with plenty of perks LOL... 

LOL OK OK I joke, she's not really working in a porn store like at Midnight Glory, but wouldn't it be fun?! Think of all of the free testers to be able to say "Yes this works well!"
She dressed for the part, not that the new dress that she is wearing from Addams - which is still available at The Crystal Heart Festival until July 31st - is the perfect outfit to wear in a porn store, although matching it with matching pink Beusy hair and some adorable accessories does give her that cute edgy look... Maybe she could get herself a proper new job?!

Demonic Lightbringer

There are big storms coming to Holland this afternoon and evening, at least that's what the weather man says - but we know that they aren't right all of the time! Due to the upcoming storms though, it's beginning to get a little dark and close here... Any slight movement brings you out in a sweat, and the dark is coming very early today... I CANNOT WAIT, I LOVE STORMS!! 
Still now that it's getting so dark, we need to find a way to bring the light... Being the dark little miscreant that I am sometimes, I put in a few calls and someone is coming to bring some light very soon... Here she is now in fact...

In the Kingdom of Taure Ru lives a beautiful and serene being,  her name is too difficult to say in the human tongue but many who know of her refer to her as The Lightbringer... 
A demonic creation of Ama - who created the large horns, body tattoo and lamp - and Aii, she brings light into the darkness... A form of torture that some might say is more effective than pain could ever be, the light of always illuminates what people do not wish to see. 
The chains of her dress announce her arrival... Either that or the thunder is very far away but coming at least... For now though a little light is not a bad thing as far as I'm concerned, I have nothing to hide!

Dandelion in the Breeze

I'm feeling in a particularly girlie mood today- I've been like that for a few days now, don't know why or what caused it but I know that I feel like being pretty and skipping around in a field of flowers - rather than embracing my usual dead girl skankish style. So before I let the monsters take over completely, it's probably a good time to let the inner girlie out... 

At the beautiful location of NonStop, Rudh took a relaxing walk through the flowers that blew in the breeze. Stopping to pick a Dandelion and blow the seeds into the breeze, breathing in the fresh air for a moment as the weather has finally cooled down just enough to make life a little easier.

A Toast for the Closure of the Box

Today is May 31st and Pandora's Box is closing itself tight once again... It's first opening seems to have been a brilliant success and it's unleashed some weird and wonderful things - not all of which I've been able to share I will admit, but wouldn't that be spoiling all of the surprises?! - but for now it will once again remain dormant... Sleeping until it's opened once again on June 22nd. 
Let's raise a toast to a successful first opening shall we? A toast and congratulations to all of those people involved... It's been wonderful to witness such a grand opening of a dark and interesting little box... 

Of course, as it's Pandora's Box and things are meant for the alternative, there is no Champagne in this toast, only Absinthe - provided by AsteroidBox - is a drink that's good enough for the evil Pandora! This decanter looks so perfect placed on The Beauty Within table - available from peaches at Whimsical - that this outer beauty couldn't resist raising a toast herself.

Through the Rose Garden

After her harrowing experiences at the hands of a dark and mysterious captor, Rudh was eventually freed, but sometimes as is the case with many a dark twisted romance, the victim and captor have fallen in love... Such was the case with Harley Quinn and the Joker, but without the toxic waste or the insanity - and yes I have just recently seen the movie Suicide Squad which is why I bring that up now! 
Finally freed, the man that lurks in shadows left her a gift of a new dress, something that she slips on and that fits her like a glove, along with the most delicate looking white rose as a symbol of new beginnings but also one of remembrance. Though her biggest surprise, her sudden freedom aside, was that when she went to walk away, she turned a corner and it was beautiful... 

The Outer Garden of the Rose Imperialistic is filled with soft sweet rose blooms, and although maybe not for her alone, this gesture from her mysterious captor makes poor little Rudh's heart sing a little. 
Her dress is a somewhat new release from Addams, something that she's had her eye on for a while, a form fitting Donatella dress in a soft shade of gray, and it's as if he knew that was what she wanted... 
Maybe now he will reveal his true form and let her know him, but as our heroic victim walks through the roses all she can do is close her eyes, to dream and let the horrors of yesterday disappear...

Whore Couture Girl Time

It's been a long time since I did something a little risqué and I feel that a little naughty is probably a good idea right about now... Something that will make me smile at least, and the picture that I'm about share with you definitely caused that!! What should have been a rather sexy photo-shoot, caused a massive fit of the giggles between myself and my good friend Lilian, and although for us the naughty effect wasn't so much naughty but silly, we definitely got the good feeling that we needed out of it!
It all started with a little event called Whore Couture, an event specifically designed to bring out the bad girl in us ladies, and at the same time get all the bad boys drooling... 

It ended up in a picture that may or may not have been staged! I'll leave that to your dirty little imaginations!

Spice up your Live Nudes Bar

Woot, Monday Morning... I've had a very busy weekend - great but busy - and now I feel like I am ready to go back to bed after I've only just gotten out of it. I'm suffering something that is akin to a hangover but it's more like a gig weariness as this weekend HellBone and I went to see Avenged Sevenfold with Disturbed and then Anthrax... Maybe I'm getting too old for this?! LOL... 
Maybe that's why Geri left the Spice Girls?! 
Sorry my mind is wandering in all kinds of weird directions this morning, but I've been playing around with some of my new stuff from Rewind, and well... There's this dress... and it got me to thinking, what would Geri have done after leaving the Spice Girls?! 

Perhaps a show career of a different kind? Washed up and in a different kind of live performance?! Maybe at a place like The Rabbit Hole - an underground Strip Club?! 
I'm sure if that was to ever have happened, she'd have been able to make a fortune by dressing in her Ginger Spice outfit, the one that was so popular back in the 90's, was worn at the Brits and was in fact made using a tea towel! It's become so popular that for a 90's themed event, a well-known and loved designer such as Addams has designed, named and even included the Union Jack print version in their latest release for the event. 
The fall of Ginger Spice sees her taking a job in a Live Nudes Bar... What a way to Spice Up your Life?!

The Milkshake brings the Rudh to the Bar!

I've been more than a little bit gloomy recently, yesterday was the pinnacle of that, and so after some VERY much needed sleep last night I am trying to remain positive. It's a strange enough day for me anyway today, since it's the first Wednesday that I have been in the office in a such a long time, but after today I don't need to come into the office for 4 days!
So this morning I decided to celebrate, I treated myself to one of those fancy coffees that cost a fortune, taste good and are only ever luke warm, and wandered to work on this very cold and frosty morning...
Rudh on the other hand had ideas of her own, she was going to enjoy a day that wasn't in the minus figures, a day she could wear shorts, and although she like me started her day with a trip to the coffee house, she choose a fancy milkshake and a cookie - because calories don't affect her LOL...

Rudh's coffee house is located in the pretty city of Le Sixieme Sens, and it was here that she was able to grab one of the awesome brocante milkshakes that had been imported from The Epiphany.
For the latest round of The Epiphany, brocante have created a collection of water bottles, but I love the Milkshakes which are actually the exclusives for the event. To get your hands on these exclusives you will need to have earnt points which can be won by trading in unwanted prizes - 25 points will get you one of the Exclusive Items!
She's also lucky that even though it's freezing in RL and I end up dressed like I'm wearing my entire wardrobe, she can get away with wearing next to nothing because she never feels the cold in SL. So as I mentioned before, shorts from Addams made up part of her look for the day. They went so well with the cute Andi WorkiT Top, that I'd forced her to buy from Vinyl at this month's Collabor88.
Still maybe I should make her walk away from those enticing looking cookies, otherwise that work out top will be put to use in an actual work out LOL...

This isn't the Arctic Express?!

Every year around this time, things in Holland start getting a little crazy. People start going firework mental - setting them off left, right and centre, even though it's the middle of the day and you cannot see them anyway... It's about this time of year that my dog changes from a happy and spoilt princess, into what can best be described as someone suffering with Parkinson's Disease. She shakes constantly and won't eat or even go into our back yard to pee, it's horrible to witness! So this yea, as with last year, HellBone and I are packing up and taking the dog and cat to a holiday house in the woods! 
I'll still be able to write things but won't be in SL so it's going to be my last few hours in world this morning, and as I was packing Rudh up and bundling her into a train so she could head off for her vacation, the strangest thing happened... I think she's on the wrong train?!

Sitting down in the carriage she was joined by some rather interesting characters! Three Children, a Giant and one with an interesting hat made themselves comfortable and started talking about random things - one even brought a rat with him?!
The train itself is a DRD Arctic Express Carriage, that is whizzing along down the tracks and generally going a little faster than a Steam Engine should perhaps. These little characters are SO CUTE - and I say that as someone who really isn't interested in Harry Potter - when my RL sister saw them she went nutso... The Harry Potter based Bears are BoOgErS creations, which you can win yourself until December 31st at The Arcade... 
But I really do think I'm on the wrong train, I shouldn't be going to Hogwarts... I wanted to go to the Woods?!

Santa's Not Coming!

If you were ever a bad kid you may have been told that Santa would not come to visit. It was a threat that my parents used to make fairly often when we were little around this time of year, but actually 9 times out of 10 it was a threat that dad assures me worked pretty well... In Holland that threat can be doubled - in fact I know that some of my friends with kids love having a double weapon like this in their arsenal - because this weekend is Sinterklaas. Tomorrow, Monday 5th, is a celebration a little like Christmas. Sinterklaas may not come to visit in the same way that Santa will stay away... 
It's all very distressing for a little kid LOL... 

Luckily for me I am not a kid, but I will be welcoming my British parents over for a visit so that they can experience a Dutch Holiday like this one. It will be all about food and family and maybe if they are lucky there will be a little gift involved too! 
Yet in SL there won't be any gifts given today... So poor little Rudh can sit beside her Cardboard Fireplace - a brilliant creation from Lewd - that seems to be the only kind of fireplace that would actually be safe in the tree house! Although I get the feeling that I am being watched...

Deception Flowers for Shoppers

It's BLACK FRIDAY... Two words that are great alone but when put together are freaking awesome... The fact that it's Friday anyway is pretty good, the fact that it's still an American Holiday and therefore I have today off my SL job again is even better, but the best and most exciting thing of all is the fact that Black Friday is the day when stores drop their prices and have HUGE SALES!!! I LOVE a sale, though OK it can make me a little bit of a greedy girl, but grabbing a bargin always boosts you're happy levels! Least it does for me anyway...
BUT all that aside, another thing that comes from today being Black Friday which boosts my happy levels, is that I will be taking it as an official reason to wear Black LOL... Not that I need a reason but whatever... Today as well as shopping like a crazy person, I am going to be wearing black and dead too... I'm a dead crazy person... Who'd have ever guessed?!

Before I start my shopping extravaganza today I am going to play around like the living dead doll that I am and get myself all prettified!
I think it's a day for flowers!! Replacing my left eye with a gorgeous "Deception Flower" - from Aii the Ughly & Beautiful at Enchantment - was easy enough but getting the little flowers to stay within the gash on my cheek was harder... Throwing on a dress and combing my hair was the easiest part after getting those flowers to stick!
Now though I am ready for SHOPPING!!!!! Watch out for that blur in the stores, as I mentioned yesterday, it might be me!

Thanksgiving À La Rudh!

Although it's not something that I celebrate, today is Thanksgiving for the American Nation. It's not something that I have ever really paid all that much attention to, or even thought about, but as all of Secondlife seems to go Thanksgiving Crazy once a year I cannot help but join in the festivities sometimes. Even if in my case it is only the craziness of the Black Friday Sales. 
Still I wanted to share with you what a Thanksgiving dinner may be like with the non-American part of the Gators MC... HellBone and I are obviously spending today as a normal day, but Lil came over for a little dinner at our place... 

The resulting chaos was pure Gator craziness!!! 
I was so hungry that I couldn't resist getting into the Turkey before anyone else had a change to even think about eating any of it... Stuffing is the best bit! I had to have some before the others took it all! As you can tell by the look on Lil's face she was more than a little shocked LOL... 
The table is actually a rather naughty prop from Lewd - buyers beware, when it says glazing the ham you may not want to eat a glazed ham again LOL - but this "Forced Feast" is actually a group freebie for a few days, until it becomes an actual on sale item! 
The rest of the décor in the house is actually the most amazingly comfy looking Autumn Nest Chair from Violetility - and a rug which you can just see peeping out under the table. These things are all on sale at the current round of Cosmopolitan, and they make such snugly looking Autumn home cosiness! OH AND just so everyone is aware, because I've mentioned the craziness of the "Black Friday Sales" already... Violetility is having a sale at their mainstore! DON'T MISS THIS ONE! 
If you celebrate this particular holiday, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Watch out for the strange blur of someone moving fast at the Black Friday Sales... That may just be me!!!

Get your hands off my Loot!

Fighting though the crowds I finally got myself into the latest round of The Epiphany the other day, and I went a little gacha crazy! 
These Gacha Events are great but sometimes they really do bring out the greed demon in me. I doubt that I am the only one who has this feeling, but even when I know I'm doing it I cannot stop myself from "MUST GET IN" or "just one more try"! Problem is when you like everyone else is fighting to get in, once you're there it's like another fight to get to the machines and then yet another fight to be able to get anything out of them LOL... Although, when you get that item you want - be it rare or not - you can't help yourself but do a little happy dance, wishing you could hold it aloft and be like "NerNerNiNerNerrrrrrrrr" to those standing around you LOL - or maybe that's just me!?!
Maybe it's my imagination but sometimes you feel you have to keep your hard earned goodies away from the other shoppers, get to high ground armed with a weapon and fight to get out again - or maybe that's more akin to what you need to do in a Zombie Apocalypse?! 

I think the Zombie Apocalypse idea is a good one, LOL, least it seems to be sticking in my head anyway... It's now officially a Rudh Zombie Day - and Zombie Day is the name of the pose I'm using from Come Soon at You.Gacha until October 30th. Now this is another couple pose but obviously I'm on my own so keep reading to the full pose in use as the male pose that comes with this has not only a machine gun but a machete too!! Guys you know you want that LOL...
