One of my favourite events in SL is back again for a new round and I am like a kid in a candy store at Christmas that's more than a little excitable! Then what with the opening of The Dark Style Fair too, I'm giddy with excitement and need to calm down a bit before I pass out LOL... It brings out my dead doll side and created a great amount of creativity, I was a happy girl with a LONG shopping list and well... It's like Halloween comes every 4 months!! I LOVE HALLOWEEN!!! The darkness and macabreness of this event draws me in, reaching out with ghostly hands luring me in to play in the dark graveyard...
I'm talking about the event called Memento Mori - the best event dedicated to the dark, macabre, and horrific! It's definitely my favourite event, and I get sad that I have to wait for 3 months between each round LOL... Still lets talk about some of my look shall we?! The Hair is a main part of this photo, and when I saw this at Memento Mori I HAD to have it. Now I will say, it's a little strange to see me wearing black hair, but the red colours in the NANI Kiran Hair choices were not really my tone and I'm very happy that I chose the monochrome pack instead... It looks so sad and dark and twisted!! I LOVE IT! I will admit that I added a couple of accessories to my hair, in the form of the runic Elemental Halo and the spiked Deucalion Halo, but I had a story in my mind of a witch being dragged into the darkness for using a bad spell! Her already scared face enhanced by this Blaspheme scar - created by a SongBird - as she was being dragged away. The remorse showing in her Teary Green Lua Eyes - thanks to these amazing eyes from Izzie's and the gift of a generous friend! I love this picture so much, it's haunting, melancholy and beautiful - at least I think so - and for me it's just perfect for Memento Mori... So last night I took HellBone out in RL. Sometimes we do that ya know, try to get out of the house and do real life type things. Last night was one of those times, we went to a concert in Amsterdam, and it was actually pretty good. I LOVE live music - more so in RL than hearing a live singer in SL, although that's good too - I can never get enough of that live music atmosphere, feeling the ground shake with the music's vibrations, the bright stage lights and the people having a great time... It's like a medicinal feeling, and I LOVE IT!! Last night's concert was a band called "Ghost" - a choice of Hell's which I will recommend as they have been great each time we've seen them! They've inspired my choice of post today... Something a little demonic is needed...
A lot of their stage show is set around a fairly satanic theme, but it's loud, heavy and great to sing along to! So today, Rudh has undergone a transformation after being turned last night lol... At a place called Daemonic Servitude, she stalks the halls, holding her own leash between her teeth - a leash from Gabriel at Kink(y) this month by the way - and a very obscenely high cute dress - a new favourite from Blueberry that seems to be everywhere at the moment since it's release last week. The main change that came over Rudh, as let's face it this isn't an abnormal outfit for her, is the horns that ripped through her forehead, leaving long trails of blood over her cheeks as she went from human to demon. I fell in love with these horns as soon as I saw them advertised on Flickr, and I couldn't get to We <3 RP fast enough to grab them from the {aii} booth. Having said all that I feel that I should leave you now as she searches through the hellish tunnels looking for a master, and I plan on trying to corrupt you as I go, so let me hand you over to Ghost as they take you from "The Pinnacle to the Pit"...

One simple purchase can sometimes inspire not only a look but a story in your head as you play around with it right? Least that is what always seems to happen to me... Maybe the look is due to the fact that I am still in pain of the headache variety, or maybe it's just because I connect more with my Living Dead Doll side, but as soon as I saw this tattoo available for a past round of Fifty Linden Friday, I knew I'd be playing around with it just a little...
It perfectly fits my kookie, living dead doll nature, and I have loved it ever since I put it on. A subtle - though some might say not so subtle - nod to the skeleton beneath, this CURELESS Psychopomp Tattoo is one of those FLF Gems. It is an extension of the previously created Psychopomp Skull Tattoo for the face - which I am also wearing and which has now been updated to match the new textures of the full body tattoo. I dressed it up with a torn up, "Used" Shirt from Razor and added my favourite Noose Accessory from Remarkable Oblivion for that extra dead girl touch. She's going home to visit family, this time at Arranmore, but with a headache like the one she has now, maybe that noose will come in handy for something?! I love playing dress up, and I love dark and macabre, and I love exploring... So when these three things combine, it makes for a very happy Rudh indeed. I was able to get my hands on a new release from one of my crush stores, and within the space of an hour or so I was told about a new Cica Ghost Art Sim... Wouldn't you know, the combination of these two things was PERFECT! Today we're going deep sea diving... Better bring your waterproofs!!
Cica Ghost has always made some very beautiful and interesting sims to explore, and although they aren't around for very long, when a new one pops up it's something that is a must-see for me. This time is no different, and the Under the Sea sim is filled with wonderful creatures of all shapes and sizes, and for today only, one extra guest... ME!! The reason I decided that I needed to be here, was partly due to the amazing release from Nightmare for this year's Depraved Nation Luck of the Irish Gacha Fair. The items come separately but can be collected to form a "Cracken Attack" set - shown here in black and only missing the tentacles from the back and the head - in a range of different colours. Of course, once I had the tentacles in place my mind ran away with me. I found an old necklace from erare that drew my mind towards Ursula - Little Mermaid's Sea Witch - and so more Tentacle Marks - like the ones available from NOX - were needed. Then of course, as she was under the water, she needed some kind of Mermaidishness - yes I know it's not a real word LOL - which was where the Siren Carving Scars - from Evermore - come into play! It's a dressing up costume that pleases me... It's caused me to start singing the Little Mermaid Classic "Under the Sea" but meh it's a song I can live with... In fact perhaps, so will you LOL...

Over the last couple of days I've been posting things that are a little bit naughty, and today I am going to do something totally different for a change of pace... Sorry to all the people that love the naughty, but today I'm going to be a little more fantasy of a different sort hehe. There is something dark and mysterious going on with me today, I'v been changed by a mark on my face that appeared over night and now I hear something sinister calling me. I'm not sure what it is yet, but it when I looked in the mirror and saw the drastic changes that I'd undergone in my sleep last night, I felt an evil laugh building up inside of me, ready to burst free...
This strange new scarring on my face is tingling, a buzz seems to be coming from the deep scar on my forehead, and I have to do some research to find out what it is... Until then I cannot help but marvel at my amazing new horns - a release from PSYCHO.Byts for the Stormwood Hills Event - and the transformation to my eyes - thanks to Suicidal Unborn. A new year always feels like a new start, and this year like many other years that have passed I've set myself some resolution-like goals. I've mentioned one before in the post that I wrote yesterday, but there are lots of things that I want to achieve this year and I'm trying to start out optimistically! So new year, new start, moving on forward and hoping to maintain an inner peace, I have decided that it's time to do a little revamping of things as far as Rudh is concerned too... Not yet ready for a huge change - a Bento anything for example - perhaps it's finally time to delete all the system layers and reorganise my once neat but now looking like an explosion in a clothing store inventory back to the way it should be. Going to start with something easy - a new Profile Picture!!!
I love those plain and simple pictures that I tend to create for my profile, so I've decided to do another one. Somewhat gorey I know, but hey I'm a living dead doll right?! I know that I'm not always totally dead looking but I cannot help it when it comes to creating a profile picture, I'm drawn to that side of myself LOL... I went to town on wounding myself this time... The scars of the last year are still in the process of healing and soon my headshot may be a little different. The scars that mutilate my one pretty face are a part of a "Shattered Existence" - playing on words with the name there lol - from last year, and what was once CURELESS & DISORDERLY - another play on words with the store owners name this time - should in time calm down to something a bit less chaotic. Just to send a little warning, this face wound and it's staples - called Shattered Existence from CURELESS & DISORDERLY in case you hadn't guessed - it takes a little bit of patience to get the staples fitted in the right place, not that that's the fault of the designers but more because SL faces vary so much in their shape, I really suggest you make a copy before you start pulling the staples around. That having been said, I REALLY REALLY love this scar and am sure I will be wearing it much more in future. Along with her demonic eyes and Spiked Leather Collar - from AsteroidBox - the Dead Dolly look will be gracing the front page of my profile until the scars have healed... However long that may be!

The month of October is the best in my opinion... I LOVEEEEE Halloween as you might have already guessed but there are other things about it that make me smile too... Beer is a must in October, as it's Oktoberfest! That Oh-So-Awesome festival that the Germans celebrate with Beer and Pretzels. Now I will admit that I turned to the grand masters of Google and did a bit of research before sitting down to write my post today and I realised that actually Oktoberfest only runs until the first weekend in October - technically I am a little late, but Oh Well! I found Lederhosen, I found beer, I had to pay homage to the festival of beer drinking!
The lederhosen are actually a past Gacha item from the store Salt & Pepper, and I believe these were in the machine for the recently ended round of The Gacha Garden. As soon as I saw the machine I had to give it a try and was lucky enough to win some very pretty coloured lederhosen on my first go - coincidentally, just so you know, lederhosen means leather trousers in German lol - and the gacha machine not only contains the outfit but also socks and other pretty things that are perfect for this look. Yet as it's October and therefore the month of HALLOWEEN, I can't resist adding a little of my favourite kind of Dead Girl flavour into the mixture. Hence why Rudh has been shot in the head and has this amazing "Growing Within" scar on her cheek from Ama. It looks like some cute little white flower, and for the purpose of this look I am going to tell you that it is in fact edelweiss, but don't quote me on that LOL... For some reason I feel like they SHOULD be Edelweiss but I know that I'm probably going to be in trouble for thinking of them, as the Edelweiss song that is rolling around in my head is in fact Austrian - and yes I'm thinking Sound of Music right now - but meh I'm sure Edelweiss grow all over that general region of Central Europe?! Don't they?! Oh well... Who knows, another beer will help me understand more, thank goodness it's Oktobeerfest! Well we finally did it! It's here, it's open to the public and it's better than any we've had in years gone by. The MC worked super hard and pulled out all of the stops this year to create something devious and scary, and so far everyone seems to be loving it... It's a dark haunted place full of the odd scare and even some very special VIP characters that you may well recognise, so if you're looking for something fun to do - although I know there are HEAPS of things to do - maybe you want to check out the Gators MC 4th Annual Halloween Event! Of course for me Halloween is the best time of the year to play dress up... There are so many new events opening that appeal to my darker Dead Doll side that I cannot help myself but be overly excited! I'm like a kid in a Candy Store or a teenage girl with VIP access to the latest teen idols - squealing with excitment and running around like a headless chicken in case you were wondering! Having the maze for me is a bonus as I have ready made horror sets at my fingertips LOL...
The first of these "sets" is actually the maze entrace... Pet Semetary is our opening location this year and instead of scary animals - with the exception of the odd Gator - you may well find that there are more parties than nasties here this year. My first dead girl look was something that kinda paired with HellBone chosen outfit... We were the keepers of the Semetary - he a monstrous undertaker, me the dead girl that collected the pets, and I was followed everywhere by a little black cat! I have to admit that for me and my little Dead Doll look this is fairly simple lol... I fell head over heels in love with the new Besom hair called "New Girl" - which is available now at SALEM, an event that is by far one of my favourite seasonal shopping events this year - and the whole outfit was built around it... It went well withe dress I found - an oldie but still a goodie - from Corvus, coated with blood, lots and lots of blood, and a Noose from Remarkable Oblivion. Then I took the deadly kitten - from Jian - that is awakend by Pet Semetary for a walk through the graveyard, before heading into the dark... Dare you "Get Bitten in the Dark!", or are you too chicken?! You never know who you will meet in the Pet Semetary Catacombs!

Yes, you read that right, I've spent 10 years in SL riding the changes that SL, along with both my RL and SL selves, have been pulled through...
Looking back I wouldn't change a single thing!!! I started in SL 3 years after it was created - I know that there are older people out there, but I think 10 still entitles me to be referred to as a SecondLife Dinosaur. I was here pre-Mesh, pre-Sculptie, and even pre-Flexi... When I first logged Rudh in world her hair was like a large plastic looking lump stuck to her head! My first hair purchase was something that looked akin to a floppy spider - but hey back then it looked AWESOME! Now days, I look just a little different - having two distinct sides to my fashion personality, the rebel biker chick with just a touch of kinky goth and the crazy rainbow cuteness with a touch of pretty and a sprinkling of madness!
It's been 10 years of adventures... I've done so many things that I'd never thought possible... I learnt new skills - I'm a dab hand at photoshopping things now - and even found myself a RL job working in the SL world! I've been a Fairy and a Vampire, a Witch and now a Zombie - least that's the Living Dead Girl style I try to portray - however it seems I'm more biker chick than anything else since I stepped into the role of Gators MC Secretary. I've been a friend, a sister and a mother - and although people come and go, fights and fall outs have been numerous over the 10 years, each of you have made me stronger and built me to the person that I am today. A journey that started out with dragons as friends lead me to knowing people that I cannot be without - my bestieface, my brothers and sisters and even my hubby all came into my life because of this "game". So when I look back over the 10 years, and people tell me that I have been wasting my time - it's been known to happen in RL on the odd occasion as I am sure some of you will be able to attest to - I sit back and smile... There is no where else I'd rather have spent the last 10 years. This rollercoaster of a SecondLife has been an epic journey, but one that I am so glad I stepped into - and to think when I started I wasn't sure I'd make it till the end of the month LOL... Think I'm becoming more and more like a vampire you know... Not the drinking blood part, but the allergic to sunlight bit... It's going to be a HOT few days in Holland and even though it's only 8.30am its already getting fairly warm - not warm by other country standards I'll admit, but still warm enough for a country that not two days ago was cold and wet! Maybe I'll start hiding in the shadows and take on a new persona?!
Today has been FAR too hot, I've been writing a blog post since 8.30 AM and it's not nearly 12 hours later and I'm still writing because sitting behind my PC is not cool in this weather! Yet I think my vampire persona is definitely shaping up well... She looks the part at least, hiding her fangs while her photo is taken! Let's start this week off as we mean to go on, with something crazy, random and suiting the way that my brain seems to be working at the moment... I'm back in the office after a lovely week of working at home - a wonderful week away from the depressing drudgery that is the office building I work in currently - and already it feels like the happy is being drained from me. Hence a need to do something random that will make me smile... Something like it was straight out of a crazy dream... Something like riding a dinosaur, perhaps?!
LOL Only in SL right?! To see a girl dressed like some kind of fantasy being, riding on the back of a T-Rex is just, well, Secondlife... It's as much a weird part of SL as someone saying "I've lost my ears!" BUT in Rudhland, it's true and it happens!!! My pet Dinosaur is not new but actually he's still kinda fresh out of his packaging... I'd said last week that I was working on Inventory, well I still had a folder of unopened items from past Gacha Events!!! He's a Dino Buddy - the rare Sharp Tooth to be exact - from JIAN and part of a collection of 5 different Dino types each in various colours... I have a full set of these awesome pets, and since I rediscovered them I've been storming all over the Gator Swamp riding my dinosaurs! Of course, every dino rider needs a prehistoric fantasy outfit too... Rudh is the epitome of cool looking cave girl today hehe... A dress that is actually a GIFT from Vitrimi, made of leaves teamed perfectly with some leafy vines for her arms and legs, as well as the Rare Paradise Collar from Remarkable Oblivion. The Skull headdress that marks Rudh out as a leader of her tribe of Dino Riders is an accessory that comes attached to the Arwen hair from Truth, and it ties the whole outfit together perfectly!! I went from being a Gator to being a Dino Rider over night LOL - I'm still a Gator but hey these members of the Gator family have bigger teeth than my own MC brothers and sisters... So question is, are you going to join us or become dinner for my pets? Heheh

It's crazy time, back to work on Monday morning BUT luckily this week should be a little less intense as I've only got one job to work this week!! It sounds like heaven but I have a very funny feeling that come Thursday I won't know what to do with myself LOL... Perhaps I will let my crazed, dead dolly out to play... She's been locked away for a little while, but I feel the urge! Mind you, she doesn't seem to mind being locked away all that much...
A nice padded room to sleep in, if you can ignore the blood... She's a prisoner in her own crazy mind, though perhaps she has the right idea and it is the safest place to be right now! Wouldn't want to be the person that tries to get the gun from her though! Her comfy padded cell is actually a pose prop created by Exposeur, but if you want to get your hands on one you need to move fast, the store's closing sale - in which everything is marked down by 80% off - only lasts until June 30th! The guards of her cell haven't been able to get close enough to remove the prison outfit that was her initial dress to replace it with a straight jacket, so she remains in her B.C.C Prisoner Outfit - part of the Jenny&Megan Gacha Collection for the latest round of The Arcade by the way - as she draws pictures in the blood that stains the cushions! I want to finish today by sharing a song with you, one that I really love listening to, though you may be more familiar with the original version! Ever heard the song 'They're Coming To Take Me Away' by Napoleon XIV? Well, it's a cover version of that but it's much more fitting with the craziness that is Rudh - in this picture at least hehe - I freaking love this version of the song... I'm feeling the homesick feeling again... It happens every so often and right now it's here and here to stay. Possibly because I've been sick lately, and maybe added to that the fact that my little sister's birthday is coming up, but right now Rudh is incredibly home sick... Finding a man and getting married to someone in a different place through SL may sound like a fairytale, but it does come with it's not so good side too!! Not that I'd change the adventure of it, but I wish we lived closer to home... I'm going to have to suck it up and call home... I do regularly call the UK, but when I feel this home sick it has a dual effect of making the feeling of missing home worse while actually helping too... Sounds bonkers I know but I guess just hearing the family helps somewhat!?!
Of course when Rudh calls home she does it in a totally different way... It's hard for the living dead Doll in me to call to my "other" family - not the MC they are always around but the other Dead side of the family LOL... Rudh decided to call home and with the help of one of the awesome already laid out WHOLE WHEAT locations it was easier than she had imagined... Like having a cell phone for the undead... Calls are cheap too... One human heart and some time spent at the Ouiji Board will do! It's never easy calling the undead, the line connection is always so shaky, and unlike a phone they are always able to cast an evil eye over the caller - tormenting her so that even her piercing scars bleed - but at least it gives her some reassurance just like calling my RL parents gives me. On the subject of piercing scars, and just to wrap up the ramble for today, I have added a close-up look at them in the photo below... These are the SongBird Puncture Piercings available until June 31st as a Hunt Prize for the Body Art Hunt II - so FREEBIES!!!! Love that term! Still now it's time to go make a simpler call... Time to dial home to Mum!

It's Monday Morning again... The day of the week that never seems to end, much like Tuesday, a feeling that is totally opposite to the weekends which tend to be "blink and you miss it" moments. I took a few days off one of my jobs last week because I was simply too tired to work anymore, and now I feel somewhat refreshed, and more than a little creative... SO ladies and gentlemen, it's time to release my inner weird girl side and see what comes out...
I love when my mind becomes creative... It creates such crazy but pretty things, this being one of them... I surprised myself even at this depraved looking, fae being... It's definitely fae but I cannot tell you what kind and I'm not even sure if she is good or bad, I'll leave that open to your interpretation, but I REALLY love this picture of me!!! It started out with me having one of the newest LODE flower accessories - the Apple Blossoms that you can get yourself at The Chapter Four until April 21st - and a Death's Head Moth - from katat0nik at The Season's Story - and wondering what I would do with each of these things... For some reason I added them both to look at them, and it was this that sparked the seeds of imagination and the glitters of creativity swirling in my crazy brain. When I added the MINA Blair hairstyle, it kinda had sparks of something fae - I will admit I was surprised, I didn't think I'd be using these items in a picture together! Then with the addition of one of the Ama Faxinus Collars - this time in a Forest colour - the Fae developed on it's own... There was just one more thing needed... For some reason this Fae side of me wanted to be dark, mysterious, and creepy... The perfect combination for this were the PSYCHO.Byts Zombie Eyes and the Be Bloody Outcast make-up from Ghost'Ink... It dragged the Fae from pretty, to slightly dark and macabre... I am so much happier being dark like this...
