Breaking Free

I've been at work for the last two days and it's felt like I've been locked up without a chance to go outside and dance in the sun... Now OK I KNOW that's overly dramatic, but I'm tired of working and being an adult lol... I find myself walking around as I clean up after people singing "I want to break free"... 

Rudh had been locked up while I was away at work... She's not going to let that stop her though, she's going to do the thing that I cannot... She's going to break free... HOW? Well, she was looking around the jail cells, trying not to scratch because of the itchy Prison Outfit - from ANTAYA, available now at the Engine Room - when she spotted the LARGE collection of Dynamite - from Static - complete with the Bomb Clock - from Krescendo at the ManCave until April 11th - sitting on the other side of the bars... It didn't take much... The Good Bear on her shoulder was missing, and the Evil Bear - which is a set from Tardfish caled Good Vs Evil Bears - only had to whisper a few words before the candles seemed more appealing...

A Prettiful Nightmare

It's been a few days since I had a chance to post anything blogging style... I've been busy stuck at work and I'm not able to get ANYTHING fun done because of it.. I'm peeking into the Halloween fun in SL and maybe soon I'll get to enjoy some of it... I'm a little monster trapped on the outside, peeking in... 

I felt like being the pretty, romatic, yet deviously dark Lich Murda monster - a look created by a set from the amazing BeSpoke, who just graciously accepted me as a blogger - that loves nothing more than to hide her darkness behind masses of red roses and lace... She's such a pretty nightmare...

Plans for the Engine Room

There are so many things to enjoy about this time of year that it's almost enough for me to forget my RL illness issues and focus on things that are much more fun... Shopping events in SL are getting exciting, we have grunge events, halloween goodies are coming and the Engine Room will be opening the doors to welcome in those seeking their steampunkish answers...

Opening of the Engine Room always brings in many interesting people, those people gather together to discuss the newest innoventions and Steampunkish creations, and once the event has gathered all of those peope together, Magic will happen... 
Rudh has been prepping for the opening of the Engine Room for a while, practising her science speak, laying out plans and discussing them with her collection of Cats - like the gorgeous kitties from JIAN - all the while trying to look like a Steampunkish science type...

Dreamwisps and Glass Magic

What do I do when I'm having a bad day, it's my day off and my PC decides that it wants to be a total and utter shit... I had to try and use Hell's PC but that thing is a crazy beast and I was confused and struggling and hope that the picture looks somewhere decent... 
What do I do when I'm trying to get my head into taking a picture, I go for something fairytale and fantastical and magical... 
Fae folk come in all different shapes and themes, today we're looking at the steampunkish glass fae... 

This pretty little cut glass fae lives in a world of crystal sparkly glass, powered by steam that lights the world and brings life to her flowers and magical pets... 
Her magic and sparkles are powered by the waters of the Dreamwisp Fountain - a gorgeous creation from everfaery - which gives her the ability to grow some of the most amazing plants in her rainbow glass greehouse... Her best grow has to be her pet Purr Plant - from Aardvark - that came to life and became her faithful leafy companion... She feeds him on a diet of Enchanted Fantasy Mushrooms - from Simply Shelby for this year's Fantasy Fair - and he exercises chasing the Butterfly Lightbulbs - from ANTAYA at the Engine Room until April 20th...

Orcs are Great Defenders

There is a whirring in the air, the sound that could be mistaken for many things as it floats on the breeze, but it is infact the doors of the Engine Room having been thrown open and the purring of the engine lulling across the land of Second Life... The Engine Room isn't a place for everyone, not everyone can handle the post-Apocalypse lifestyle... 
When you have a place in this post-Apocalypse world, you have to really cling on to it and fight whatever comes your way to try and take it from you.. Prime real estate is hard to find, and even harder to keep... 

I have been able to commandeer one of the best locations in this post-Apocalyptic world... The Dead Zone Arcade - from Synnergy.Tavis available until March 28th at Cake Day - is now my home zone, I've set up a camp with a perfectly warm fire, and released my little robotic friend from her safe space in my pocket... 
There was a very strange creaking after a while, and suddenly one of the old arcade games burst open, the characters of the game spilling out into the light and making themselves at home around my fire. How could I refuse the cute little Orc Boiz - from Tardfish at Chronicles & Legends until April 1st - a place at the fire if they are more than willing to helpf fight for our base!!

Aquarius, A Water Sign

There is a new event on the SL grid this month which should really grab the attention of a wide range of people across the board... The fantasy lovers, the believers in the spiritual and those who celebrate their birthdays under any given starsign... This event is looking to the stars, the super Stellar, the starsigns are the theme, and as the first of the signs starting in January, the first round is Aquarius... 

Aquarius is a water sign, and the sign dates from January 20th to February 18th, it's an important sign in our household as it's HellBone's sign... 
So for Aquarius, rather than model myself on a Water Carrier, I decided to get myself under the water... I'm going to swim in the aqua waves, I'm going to bathe in the waters of the Aquarius Bath - from Violetility at Stellar - and play with my adorable new friends the Mer-Cats- from Tardfish, which I am TOTALLY in love with because I have always wanted a mer-kitty - and while underwater I might partake in a bowl of some delicious Water Bearer Cereal - from Junk Food - which just like in Spongebob manages to stay in the bowl...

The Last Farewell of the Snow Fairy Queen

Yesterday, in the Netherlands, though in other places too, we had a snow storm,,, We woke up to a few inches of snow and it's gotten so cold, my fingers and toes are numb. The weather is slowly turning back towards a Spring normal today too, sun shine and the temperature is warming up again, albeit slowly... I'm beginning to wonder if it wasn't our friendly Spring Fairy - that made an appearance here over the past few years - popping back in to say hello before she disappears for her Summer Nap... 

She's disappearing towards Echo Ridge, where the last of the snow clings to the ground, as she's taking her last stroll through the woodland before finding a comfortable place to slumber. 
This fairy Ice Queen is looking a little worse for wear, as her skin is starting to show signs of frostbite that never normally affects her. Her ice outfit - from Antaya - is slowly beginning to melt, everything but her crown-like mask is slowly fading away to nothing...
