Pumpkins and Apples

It's nearly the end of September. We have just a few more days to slip into the Autumn and all it's goodness before the spooky season begins. I have much to get done, including organisation for the Halloween event, but before I get into all that, I have to make a quick trip to the local pumpkin farm to pick out the perfect, must-have, Fall accessory... 

Autumn and it's seasonal spookies are my favourite time of the year, I love the glittering lights of Christmas but Halloween will always be my favourite of the holidays... 
I pulled on a comfy farm-hand style outfits, I find that dungarees are always good for stomping around in the pumpkin patch... Today though at the Pumpkin Patch, I not only got to choose a few gorgeous pumpkins to decorate my home and garden, but I made some new little Pumpkin Pals - a cute puppy release from Aardvark available until October 8th at ACCESS - AND even found the most delicious Caramel Apples with a crunch and sweetness that made me a very happy girl...

Rudhbow Brite!

I am an 80's child, born in 1986 and raised through the 90's I look back on my childhood fondly. I've been thinking about having children of my own lately, and although I love kids I wonder what kind of Mum I'd make. I'm still too much of a kid mentally, I love doing things that are childish and I wonder would I be any good if I had to be the example... It's not something that I need to think about, it won't be happening for a while... 
I'll just use the time to look back on my childhood and one of my favourite characters... Rainbows are EVERYWHERE in SL at the moment, thanks to Pride, but there's always ONE Rainbow that sticks out... 

RAINBOW BRITE was one of my favourite characters, and I LOVED her stories, her companions and her colourful happy nature... 
I will never be able to make a perfect version, but today I pay homage to Rainbow Brite, in my own Rudhbow Brite... Demonic Heart Collectors

It's almost February, and there has been a slow, subtle trickle of all sorts of hearts and flowers beginning to appear in the Second Life universe... It's the season of Love and it's almost here, and although I am NOT a huge fan of Valentine's, the romance is not something that can really be avoided... There's plenty of love out there for everyone, lots of love that can be sweet, passionate and burn bright hot, but it can also cause a world of hurt and pain. There may be angels singing songs and prising the good side of love, but there's always a demon that loves love for the darker reasons... 

On an Evil Night like this one, the demons are already on the look out for those little love hearts that have gone astray. Collecting up the beating hearts - like the Beating K-Hearts from KitCat available this weekend for the Saturday Sale - this little demon has decided that wearing some adorable gloves like her favourite pair of "clawed halfgloves" - from Quills & Curiosities, available now at The Warehouse - to pick them any she finds. These ones are relly, super pretty...

Faking the Fireflies

I've finished work for the week, and although I only did very short hours, I am feeling kinda worn out. I want to do something relaxing and chillaxing, find my inner peace... 
I think I'm going to wander out into the night and collect up some more fireflies, I need some more of natures fairylights... 

There's nothing more relaxing than freewheeling on a bicycle in the evening through the peaceful fields - a backdrop from Synnergy really - to the perfect spot where the fireflies gather... 
Curling up in the long grass, listening to the pretty sounds of the evening, the smell of the flowers in the air and an empty jar waiting to hold some new fairylights...

Funny Drinks at the Office!

Work was a strange day today... People were in a happy mood, but there was a change in the weather that means things were a bit strange. It's definitely fun to be back at work again, things have changed so MUCH but I'm sure that I will get back into the swing of things sooner or later... 
While I'm working away in the shop, Rudh gets herself all dressed up and heads to the office...

Sneaking Out in Disguise!

I know that I'm all over the place when it comes to blogging... I love that I can be so random and do whatever makes me smile as I do it...

A Girl From Hell...

I've been feeling a little bit better today, and I guess that is due to things that happened at the doctors yesterday and so now I'm stuck on bed rest and ready to get my brain to work. This does mean that I'm going to have to find something to keep myself occupied and that is more than likely meaning I WILL be trying to get some blogging done each day. I HATE feeling useless, I need something to do... 

Since I'm stuck at home in RL, I think it's only fair that Rudh makes a little visit to her own 'home'... Heading back to Hell where it's warm and cozy. The closer that the dark little demon in me gets to home, the more my dark little demonic self comes out. First the wings, which darken as we decend, then the cute little horns that are always on show darken too... Sweet as Candy

I was watching random pop music videos on YouTube and randomly stumbled upon Katy Perry´s California Girls video... I had a very instant craving for Candy, and that seemed to inspire me and my blogging choices today... Purple for the Bees

Spring flowers are in abundance at the moment and I'm so happy to see the pretty colours and smell all those gorgeous smells... I love the cacophony of colours, and even though I'm not so much of a purple, sometimes you can't help but get swept up in it... 

The pretty spring flowers just happen to be purple today... Pansies - from LODE at Shiny Shabby - and some gorgeous Wisteria - from Love . All these flowers drew in some new friends... Bumblebees have moved into my garden, and are making themselves at home... I am so happy to see that since they are such cute little things... 
All this purple was affecting me in a few ways, the colour of my eyes started to change to match the colours of the flowers - thanks to these gorgeous new Willow eyes from Psycho.Byts that are available at Cosmopolitan - and then to finish the look I wanted something equally pretty, equally fairy tale to match the gorgeous setting... Australian Wildlife Needs Your Help...

I don't normally discuss much RL world events in my rambling space, mostly because I like to keep things light hearted and happy, but the situation in Australia has had me gripped for weeks now. The fires that keep on burning - although luckily it seems that the rains are starting to fall and life is beginning to spring back into some areas - causing so much destruction is heartbreaking. 
I feel for the people that are being caught up in the affected areas, but the heartbreaking feeling is definitely coming more from the chaos, devastation and loss of the wildlife, in a country that was always so protective of it's indigenous species! It's been estimated that a billion animals have lost their lives - although the exact figure is not known - and Koalas have even entered the danger list for animals that may go extinct! I'm devastated!! I've always wanted to see - and hug - a koala... We need to do anything we can to help stop this from happening! 

So when I heard that a team of Aussies - lead in part by the amazing Kay Weston of Image Essentials - in SL are putting together a fundraiser, I felt compelled to help spread the word! 
Currently designers are being sought that would be willing to join the fundraiser! Designers can participate in a number of ways ranging from donation kiosks in stores to donating items for a raffle and even setting up an event booth with items for sale to raise funds for the cause! All donations made during this event will given to the RSPCA - https://bushfires.rspca.org.au/ - to continue to respond to emergencies and help them assist animals and communities in need.
The events will take place over the Australia Day weekend, when there will be music festivities, shopping and lots of donations - I hope - made to save some animals that are very much in need!!!

Dawn's Breaking Light Heralds Sorrowful Tidings

She's in mourning... The aftermath of the battle against the darkness smolders on the horizon, and in the breaking light of the dawn, the elven princess is handed the sword of her father. Lost to the battle against the evil that stalks the earth.Soon her mourning will be rudely interrupted as she's thrown into the charge of the court, but for now in the early morning light allow her moment of solitude and a song for the dead to remember her fallen father and brothers. 

OK OK once again I got a little carried away when it came to writing the initial story for this, but I couldn't help it, the picture was one that I created and fell in love with the result of what I managed to kinda-sorta accidentally capture. 
Surprisingly it actually started with the idea of this in mind, I never normally have an idea of what I want to do until I get lucky, but the combination of this gorgeous Valindra Dress and Vanyar Elven Jewelry Set from lassitude & ennui just seemed to fall into place with this idea. It helped that I'd picked up this amazing pose from Le Poppycock at the last round of Enchantment too.

Mermaid on Land seeking a job?!

The other day I saw a trailer for the new Disney live-action Little Mermaid movie. I was, I have to admit, a little surprised to see that Arianna Grande has been cast as Ariel. OK so she can sing, after the Emma Watson as Belle debacle I can get the singing part but she can't act! Why didn't they find someone who can handle both?! They would have been better off asking Rudh to do it LOL... She can't sing, she can't act but least she has that Ariel feeling down pat... 
Channeling my inner Ariel today, I was kinda lead off the beaten patch, and well Triton said if I wanted to be up where the people are, I had to act like a normal person and get a job... I started my day job at the Marina Fuel...

The Marina Fuel is located off the coast of Baja Norte and it's a really useful filling station for all the thousands of boats around the Atlanian kingdom. 
The outfit that she chose to wear is actually one of her brand new purchases, it's a new release from Elegance Boutique that you can get your hands on now at Cosmopolitan. She's wearing a lined version, since it seems like a fairly nautical theme, but there are plain versions too and the bra tops are colour change so they can match your mood. Finishing the look she's added a pair of N-Core, Sailor Heels, in a matching navy colour. Such a cute combination...

Ready to feel the BURN!

Gym membership is expensive. I'm the kind of girl that has good intentions and wants to lose weight - I have no problem admitting that I'm a bit fluffy - but I'm also the kind of girl that HATES the gym with a passion. I don't know why, maybe it's because I don't like knowing there are a lot of people watching me sweat and possibly die lol... BUT I've found a better place for me to work out in RL, it's the store that I have a new job in... Think about it... I'm lifting heavy cheeses, walking around all day, cleaning and working up a bit of a sweat in doing so! 
Yet Rudh would make a fabulous Gym bunny... 

So at the Backdrop City Gym, she's showing off her Gym Bunny Prowess... The RL me is thinking "OUCHHHHHHH" even after having a whole day of doing nothing yesterday, my muscles still hurt, but Rudh loves to feel the burn hehe... 
Luckily she has this gorgeous new workout wear to show off in as she tones! Its a gacha collection from PSYCHO.Byts - which is available for the new round of Cosmopolitan - but there is something you need to be aware of with this set... It's made for SLINK - both bodies but only SLINK. Now I'll admit that I wear a Maitreya Body, BUT I found that the Physique  set did actually fit and could pass as an outfit that would work!

Sweet like Honey

Honey is soooooo good for you. It's one of the earth's best natural healers... I swear by the stuff when I am sick with a cold because it contains a natural antibiotic AND is good for soothing sore and itchy throats. For me, honey is also a taste of spring time... All those flowers and that sunny goodness, and hearing the hum of bees is definitely a sign of good weather to come. 
Yet for me there is also a bit of a weird side of bees that I am a little creeped out by, and it's the fault of the first ever Horror Movie I watched... Candyman... If you haven't seen it, look it up, but all I will say is you will never see bees in the same way again... 
So when I found these amazing eyes and this adorable Honeycomb necklace... I Knew I would be paying homage to bees... Cute but creepy!!!

The necklace is one from Ama - for the current round of Cosmopolitan which ends on February 24th. I will admit that it's not very clear here so I have added the store ad for this pretty necklace, it's very dainty and perfect for those of us that are sugary sweet.
Rudh is so sugary sweet that the honey is leaking from her mouth and eyes - thanks to a recoloured drool from katat0nik and a very creepy tattoo from Queen oF Ink - which luckily for me - or not - drew the bees in!! You can really see how sweet Rudh is just by looking into her eyes...

Psycho Ward Demon

So starting off the new year as I mean to go on... It's time for something a little dead! That's the way Rudh is, she's either rainbows and sunshine or dead! Sorry I cannot help that, and I actually really enjoy it... Sometimes it's weird to admit that the more dead she looks, the happier I am... I know that's weird but that's me! I'm happy being me and I'm not changing for anyone!!
Now I've had a bit of an addiction to Gacha for a while... I'm going to try and beat it, I HAVE TO to stop spending so much money. However, before Christmas I went just a little crazy at the last round of LootBox Gacha and HAD to have the set from ANTINATURAL... A collaboration made in collaboration heaven that got me checked into the Psycho Ward from Hell... 

I fell in love with the set from ANTINATURAL and HAD TO HAVE IT... It's the brain child collaboration of CURELESS - which everyone should know by now I am a little addicted to - and a store I've not heard of before called anxiety, which I will be checking out as soon as I'm done writing my post today. I NEEDED the Rare Lootbox dress, which I luckily won without trying too many times, and also got many of the accessories including this awesome backdrop and wheelchair! 
Yet it was the Glass Jar that seemed to bring it all together, a "L'annulaire" My Monster display jar, which I picked up at a past Cosmopolitan from ROIRO, which seemed to fit so perfectly into the scene that my mind went into over drive... 
Not only was I a Psycho patient, I was also a demonic monster... Wet hair - from ARGRACE - and some awesome demon horns with hanging hair tendrils - from DOUX - and a cylinder to pump Cyanide through my veins, and hopefully I would remain a calmer patient... 
Not sure how that will work, if you look at the awesome Wolf Frame with Moon Phase Art in my room - thanks to Candle & Cauldron - and that uncomfortable looking Peasant Bed - from Violetility - will affect my mood, but for now at least I'm restrained somewhat?!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

YAY IT'S FINALLY HERE, THE DAY THAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS... TODAY I'M GOING HOME TO SEE MY FAMILY AND SPEND CHRISTMAS WITH THEM YAY!!!!!
Sorry for the excitement, anyone who knows me would know that it's been a few years since I had the chance to go home and spend the holidays with family, so it's a pretty big thing!
That having been said, I MAY be able to blog something while I'm away, but I may not too, so if I go silent you know why. Yet I couldn't resist taking just a few minutes this morning to send you a little message...

The Travelling Doll Maker's Office

Sometimes even the Living Dead Dolls are in need of repair... They get dropped off with the Travelling Doll Maker and he repairs what is in need of mending... 
I think at the moment, today especially, I'm very sleepy and I doubt that he will be able to fix that but Rudh may be a little easier to mend. She looks to be missing some hands perhaps, and so she's laid out on the floor of the doll maker's office until he returns to help her out.... 

This idea formed in my head thanks to a collection of furniture and a gacha collection of doll parts... It doesn't ever take much to get a story flowing in my crazy weird brain LOL... 
The furniture is one that I have been contemplating playing with for a long while now but never quite knew what I wanted to do with it... It's a set from Fapple - released for this month's Men's Department - that is called The Traveler. The set includes bookshelves, desk, chair and rug, with a few other things that are not shown here... Then to add that extra doll makerish feeling to the picture I decided to use some of my new toys from this month's Epiphany... DISORDERLY created a Gacha Collection called Abandonment, and it's DOLL PARTS!!! 
Her joints seem a little bloody and her lips a little cracked - thanks to a new lipstick layer that's available from Ama at Cosmopolitan - but it seems that most important is a new set of eyes and hands are needed - I wonder where the old ones have gone? - they are currently masked by the blindfold from Maru Kado, and the stumps where her hands need to be replaced are protected by a pair of Maru Kado gloves - both of which are available at the soon to close Nightmare Event. 
Now I know that some of these things are a little difficult to see, so like a good blogger I'm including a close up too... 

I think it might look a bit better when there is a replacement to her body parts perhaps!?!

Dark Magic Awakens

It's here, it's here, it's FINALLY OCTOBER!!!!! Halloween month has officially started, and there is just SO much to be excited about... Events are popping up all over the place ranging from shopping things like the GBMC Rally 2 Rescue, and SALEM - my favourite shopping event at this time of year - to Halloween experiences like Nightmare and even the Gators MC Halloween Maze, but there's more than that too... 
The feeling of dark, twisted, evil magic takes over and I cannot be more excited!! Maybe for the first day of this magical month it's time I released a little of Rudh's dark twisted magic... Be prepared for some horrible things to come this month, beautiful gore, dark magic and a little madness... The magic is building inside me, and it's fighting to get out... 

This has to be one of my favourite pictures I've taken in a very long time, with a barely minimum edit of a little shrinkage, I think I outdid myself and I guess it's all down hill from here LOL... 
Taken at the Mystical Fae Forest, the magical woodland spirit is preparing herself to release that dark magic over the place... 
The enchantress casts her spell - thanks to a pose from Poseidon - and awakens the life around her, Flowers bloom from her mask shrouding her horns to create a feeling of safety that hides the darkness within, luring the animals like the cute little frog and the butterflies to come out to play. 
Her dress is soft and feathery, the Lunesta in a pretty shade of Mauve - a strange colour for Rudh I know but it just looked so pretty with the flowers, you can find it in a few different shades from Plastix at the current round of Cosmopolitan if you're interested! The Dark still calls her though, behind her mask her eyes are dark and malevolent ready to bring the evils of Halloween to life... So much to do, so little time and the month has only just begun!!!

Why walk when you can Segway?!

I've become a bit lazy... I don't feel like doing anything much when I'm at home, with the exception of sitting around making pictures when I'm not doing housework... So it doesn't really come as a surprise to me that, aside from taking pictures, I've become a little lazy in my SL too hehe... 
I was checking out some stuff in HellBone's newly made-over store and it's a big store, I thought to myself why walk when you can Segway?! 

Yes I seem to spend more of my time on two wheels than on foot now days, either on a bike, or now on my new Segway LOL... This is a pose prop from Image Essentials, which is available until February 28th at 2nd Level. The prop has multiple poses in it and can be colour changed to suit your mood... I stuck with the pink colour, pink is evil, and it fits my mood today... 

My overly large sweater also seems to match my mood... These Love & Hate Sweaters are available from SAKIDE at the new Love Interruption Fair from Depraved Nation.

Shush Now, it's BENTO!

Today I want to do a review of sorts, something that I've been thinking about a lot as of late... BENTO! Everyone, everywhere seems to be hopping on the bento band wagon. As well as the expected Heads and Hands, everything now seems to be available in BENTO, just recently I've seen wings, jewellery and even poses, yet I wondered how does that affect me and my use of these things, since at the moment I am not Bento anything - except my SL Viewer I mean. I'm not able to afford a Head or Hands, and am waiting until just the right thing comes my way - remember how long it took me to finally get a mesh head and body?! - but how does the use of Bento in other things affect my personal use of these things?!! 
One of the stores I blog for is Image Essentials, and they have wholeheartedly jumped onto the Bento Train, so I was concerned I'd find myself in trouble for not blogging, but there are things that everyone should know...

I will admit that I was a little concerned, I couldn't carry on blogging for the store if I'd be unable to blog the Bento releases and therefore not meet the monthly quota, but once again the amazing owner of Image Essentials - Kay Weston - and her new but equally friendly and approachable Blogger Manager - Danni Ironfist - really helped to calm my worries. I over worry, I know but it's a bad habit of mine! 
I wanted to see how much the Bento would affect things... Basically for those of you that don't know, Bento is a new project release from Linden Labs, which has created more "bones" in the avatar structural make-up, meaning that movement is possible in ways that were never possible before. So when it comes to poses, the designers are able to use the Bento body parts to move an avatar in ways that before would have been very difficult to achieve. 
For example, Image Essentials have released - in conjunction with 1313 I should add - a range of poses called "Shush Now" for this year's Fetish Fair. As soon as I saw the poses I LOVED them... The kinky stuff always makes me a little happy, don't ask me to explain why lol, but there are two variations to this series, and it seems that where one didn't really work, the other was pretty close and usable! Let me share with you the Image Essentials Ad created for this pose...

As you can see, yes there is a difference in the way the hands look, the model is Bento Handed whereas I am not, and OK I have not created a fist with my Slink Casual Hands however there are Slink hands that could do that, yet I still feel that the position of my hands can be counted as a viable position and therefore a good use of the prop and pose... I happen to like the picture that I have created, I will admit - and this is nothing against Kay or the pose - that I think I prefer my upper hand being a little more relaxed looking than is shown in the ad! It's a personal preference, I was so happy that I could use the pose and make it look good! 
The other set of poses in this series, with the Ball Gag, I could not... 

But you see the hands play a much bigger key role in making the pose speak! 
I was happy to see that even without Bento things, the poses that Image Essentials are making can still be used. Yes it takes a little more tweakage sometimes, but my advice to anyone is don't be afraid to try it... You never know how long it will be until Bento is the norm, it's time for a Bento Adventure. I think for now - if they will have me - I'm going to be sticking around with Image Essentials and letting them drag me on that adventure, I just hope they bring the riding crop!!!
