One of my favourite things about blogging, something that I've often said before, is that I LOVE being able to create characters and come up with some weird and wonderful stories... I LOVE that side of blogging and will do it often... Sometimes it's a case of opening my wardrobe doors and throwing things together... It's like creating some crazy, fun disguise to slip into to change my mood and make everything brighter... 

Sometimes it's a blessing, others it's just a way of making life seem difficult LOL... Today was one of those days. I KNEW I needed to do something, I don't think it was pressure since it's not nearing the end of the month, but I stood looking through things I wanted to blog and as if by magic, the idea came to me... Disguises... A secret agent, super sleuth... A Victorian girl, secret super sleuth, steampunk investigator lol... She needed a costume, standing around in her underwear wondering what it would be this time...

Time for a Little Detecting...

Is it just me, or is it crazy that we're already at the end of February?! I mean I know that it's a short month, but seriously WHAT THE HELL, how can we already be about to enter our third month and therefore ending our first quarter of the year... It's serously getting to the point of blink and you miss it... 

It's time we opened up our eyes and did some thorough investigating into where the hell the year has gone? There has been so much going on this year that things are whizzing by faster and faster... I think I'd make a great detective, I mean I've watched enough of those cheesy detective shows. I think though I'd be a little more Murder She Wrote/Miss Marple than some CSI/Law & Order style detective... I don't think I could handle the true danger of being a cop in a big city, I'm way too mucch of a wuss... I'd also have to leave my cute puppy friend at home...

Plans for the Engine Room

There are so many things to enjoy about this time of year that it's almost enough for me to forget my RL illness issues and focus on things that are much more fun... Shopping events in SL are getting exciting, we have grunge events, halloween goodies are coming and the Engine Room will be opening the doors to welcome in those seeking their steampunkish answers...

Opening of the Engine Room always brings in many interesting people, those people gather together to discuss the newest innoventions and Steampunkish creations, and once the event has gathered all of those peope together, Magic will happen... 
Rudh has been prepping for the opening of the Engine Room for a while, practising her science speak, laying out plans and discussing them with her collection of Cats - like the gorgeous kitties from JIAN - all the while trying to look like a Steampunkish science type...

Hairy Hare Pirates!

Hair Fair 2022 has started, in fact it's been open for a while now, and there are lots of hairy reasons to pop in for a visit. Hair Fair is a very long standing event in SL now, every year they raise money and awareness for a charity that provides support and happiness for children in need... Wigs for Kids is a charity that creates wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness, providing these kids with a boost of confidence and happiness, something that is very much needed in the world...
This year however, there are also PIRATES... The Hare Fair Hares have become a pirate crew and they are on land in search of hairy treasures... 

Hair Fair this year seems to have been met with mixed reactions from the SL shopping community, but one thing remains the same. There is something for everyone, to meet any budget - be it freebie gifts, exclusive releases from a variety of different designers and even the bandanas, which in years gone by were brilliant for shopping in a laggy, chaotic place. Some of the bigger SL hair designers were not present, but that doesn't matter, there are lots of new designers to find showing off their wares, and I know that I managed to find 4 or 5 styles that I love! 
Whilst there though I also fell in love with the cutest pirate crew, made up exclusively of the Hair Fair Hares, that is until I got myself into the crew, and became the new captain... They loved my hair, which I'd just had done at the Exile booth - who made 25% donation to the cause from any of the purchase sales made, Exile can be found in the Foils Sim of the event.

Perfect for a get away!

Tomorrow I go back to work in RL and I'm not sure how looking forward to it I am... It's been a very restful few weeks and having to get back into the swing of normality just feels YUCK! 
Maybe I should do something bad, like murder someone and go on the run... Live a life like Bonnie and Clyde... Do it to celebrate an event's special event?! 

A murder as a tribute to the Necrosis for it's second anniversary celebrations, and possibly a request to whichever God is listening that I can get through dealing with the public again without murdering any of them...

Making Porn of my Own

 So I've been putting it off, but there's a HUGE part of me recently that has been gagging to get my naughty little self into the Whore Couture Fair... I couldn't deny the dirty little demon whore any longer, it was time... Time to get into porn hehe... 

The Whore Couture Fair is all about the Porn this round, it's a Porn Edition - who doesn't love a little bit of something pornographic... She ran around the shopping event like a kid at Christmas, weighed down by a huge collection of shopping bags. 
Shibari Ropes in the Tasha Cords collection - from Mug - and some new piercings for her little nips from FIKA that have a HUGE list of possible word options for each breasticle! It can honestly say that the Whore Couture Fair was a success for this little Spooky Bitch - just quick look at this awesome collar from Six Feet Under that's available at The Darkness... Bonnie and Clyde

It's not often that I do pictures with HellBone... He's the kinda guy that gets bored and starts asking "are you done yet?" about five minutes into me playing with the lighting, but sometimes I get a pose that he tells me he wants to do, so I have to seize that opportunity when it comes up! That was exactly the case when he saw a Bonnie & Clyde style pose set I got my hands on... His imagination ran away with him... 

The car is actually a part of the pose set that comes with the NANTRA "Bonnie & Clyde" and the pose above is one of those poses included... We look like we've carried out a bit of a heist with all the extra money HellBone laid around the set, but all in all I think we did a pretty good job at scrubbing up as Bonnie & Clyde... 
Of course, once we had stolen the money, what was the first thing we did... DANCE!!! This was my favourite photo of the shoot... A pose from a set called "Takes Two to Tango" - also by NANTRA - I love this shot of us dancing in the money!! His smirk!

Shattered Existence Mask

I have been all kinds of things but have not been dead me for a while now... Yet when I saw an awesome mask with a truly deadly feel I couldn't resist letting my inner dead girl take over. I missed her, and she missed being allowed out to play. 

The Skull Mask comes from Bamse at the new round of Shiny Shabby, and although the gacha has many colours I was so excited to get the gore tone from the machine! 
Rudh's living a shattered existence and feeling the pain, you can see it in her eyes - eyes from Zombie Suicide at the current round of anyBody which is open until May 30th. These eyes are simply gorgeous, the same as any eyes from Zombie Suicide, they come in both bloodshot and normal eyes and lots of colours! Mystical Beings in a Fae Forest

DRESS UP TIME on a lazy Sunday Afternoon. 
Well actually, it's not really a lazy Sunday as I am working in my SL job, but it's also not the busiest of times so I'm able to enjoy myself and get a little blogging and picture taking done... Doing one of my favourite blogger type things today which is playing dress up. Don't get me wrong I love the basic, simple fashionista style shots too, but there's nothing that gets me happier than letting my imagination run wild, finding a pretty place as a location and creating something pretty! 

Today is no exception to that... I found the prettiest fantasy place I've seen in a long while, in the form of the Mystical Fae Forest. A location that looks like it should be filled with fairytale folk of the not so scary kind! Then pulled together a look that could be a being which inhabited this wonderland of a place. 
The look came about because of a gorgeous set of wings that are soon to be released by Nightmare. These Morrigan Wings have not yet been made available for sale but will be yours to grab from April 1st at the BUY ME Event. They looked so cute with the very pretty new Chai Slip Dress from Vinyl - which you can get now at the new round of Uber - and then whilst I was doing just a little inventory cleaning, I re-discovered these super cute horns from The Horror that are covered with eyes! Perfect for a little demon like me to see all over the forest and maybe into the future all at once! 
No Nightmares of Evil Succubi here, but maybe the future is telling me that there is a little too much pink in this picture LOL I might need to do something dark and evil next?!

Even the best adventurers love a good bedtime story...

It's 5.30PM in Holland and I am already thinking about the time I can curl up in bed and go to sleep! I love getting into my bed and stretching out, I always have what some people call a "Bedgasm" - a feeling of euphoria experienced when climbing into bed at the end of a very long day - although it doesn't have to be a long day in my case LOL... 
When I was little I always loved a good bedtime story. My parents read me things like Tolkien and C.S.Lewis from a young age, and I couldn't get enough of the amazing stories of fantasy folk. I'd curl up with my bed full of plushies and listen to the stories, so when I saw something made by one of my favourite designers it took me straight back to my childhood, and my dreams of magical adventures... 

The new book and plushie set called The Velveteen Rabbit is a special Tannenbaum release from Lost Junction. It's a lovely gift for anyone this Christmas. 
So when the Adventurer in me puts her maps and compass aside, and curls up under a blanket with her new book bunny!

His Blood is a Nefarious.Invention

I am working in my SL job at the moment but it seems to be fairly quiet, so whilst I am watching the chat I thought "why not talk to you a little more?!"
What to talk about though? Perhaps I will tell you a little more about something I've shared with you here in the past, which is the fact that I am still trying to learn to take better pictures of furnishing and non-people filled locations. 
This time I heard a strange noise coming from Hell's Doody Man hideout... 

Someone had broken into the Boys man cave and was trying to steal their gold. Luckily the place was booby trapped and all of the boys war treasures - including their stacks of BAMSE gold and their BUENO safe - was left where it should be... The poor dead guy needs a name, I'll just call him Michael... Tough Luck Michael, better luck next time?! 
His blood was all over the place though, I have no idea what they set up as a booby trap!? 
Blood is something that seems to be a nefarious.inventions creation... Maybe something that you can get at the latest round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival perhaps?

Sometimes the things with no ideas, turn out to be good ideas...

I am one of those bloggers that gets sent things and as soon as I get them I start to worry that I have run out of inspiration and will let someone down if I don't use things in a photo. I know that shouldn't be the case, as it's times like that in which I will make things that I am not happy with but when an idea comes to me easily it's great... When an idea doesn't strike me like lightning, I begin to panic!!
This was one of those times, I received items from brocante, and then started to worry that I'd be letting a friend down by not blogging the items *facepalms* I need to relax more... Then pictures will just happen naturally, and the results will be better than I had thought...

As is the case with this one... I actually like how this turned out, and I guess that is the most important thing! 
The props in the photo that I have come from the store brocante - the collaboration between the owners of floorplan and Consignment - and these were event releases a while ago, I couldn't remember which event but they were in an event... Sorry I cannot be more specific... They are available with the brocante collection at it's main store area now however! 
Luckily they make an awesome prop to just pose with in a cute outfit, and I do really love this outfit!!! 
It's a Baby Doll Dress in a Sheer Silver colour that was a past Suicide Dollz release from R A N S O M, and it is so cute! But you HAVE to wear panties with it unless you plan on staying in your own home ladies hehe... I accessorised the pretty dress with some heavier style jewellery including one of my favourite collars from [ abrasive ] and the DO NOT PRESS Button Necklace from BAMSE, 
It wasn't what I initially thought the outcome of this set of items would achieve but I really like it in the end... Sometimes it's surprising what you can create right?!

Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, a Pirate's Life for Me

Yo-Ho, Yo-Ho, a Pirates life for me!!
When I was younger and wasn't dreaming of being a princess, I wanted to be a Pirate. This was made worse, in later years, by the Pirates of the Caribbean - let's face it who could resist Johnny Depp dressed like that, I'd have done whatever he told me -  and then when I got my first out of school job as a living historian, I was considering it could become a reality as I wanted to specialise in historical costume! That all changed when I met HellBone and had to find work in a country I didn't speak the language of, BUT the idea of being a pirate still lingers in my brain, and luckily for me in SL I can be just that... 

There are some amazing pirate costumes available in SL but when I saw this one I wanted it... Unfortunately it was a gacha and so I let it be at the time of release, I wasn't sure I wanted to play to win a set, then I found a full set in this pretty sky blue colour and knew that was the perfect colour for Pirate Captain Rudhmellowen Laguna... The complete outfit is an Alchemy original, and it comes in various colours with other things added to the rare versions - this is not one of the rares by the way - but even the non-rare colour sets have hats and eye patches to match the amazing coats.
Then to complete the look I remembered that buried deep in my hoard was a nod to the Pirates of the Caribbean - and therefore to that sexy Captain Sparrow - in the form of the BAMSE Cursed Necklace.
I was ready for adventure... Now any self-respecting wannabe pirate captain knows that there is only one place for Pirates and that would be Tortuga... SL has it's own version of this place, a land called BLACKSPOT Shipyard.. Here you can commandeer a ship, you can drown your sorrows and perhaps even bury your treasure! It's well worth checking out, and who knows you could even become part of my crew hehe...

Walking with a Dead Doll

Today I feel like crap, I've been caught by a pretty crap winter cold and I am barely holding on to myself... The zombie girl in me is definitely in charge today and I think that I am more than happy to let her run the show... I don't think I have any power to fight her - Stupid Colds! 
Still the Living Dead Girl is a major part of me, and when she takes over she always knows how to make me feel better! This morning she took me for a walk in the rain, in a pretty graveyard at Nox Arcanus! 

Luckily we had a lamp to light the place up a little, it was far too dark too see anything otherwise. The lams is brilliant, an Image Essentials - therefore fully loaded with the pose I'm using - Lantern pose, which you can grab for yourself at the Frozzen Fair that ends tomorrow - December 16th!
I love the outfit that I took this walk in, though I'm not sure the boots were such a good idea in all that mud - even though the N-Core boots do look GORGEOUS - but the Skelly Thermal Suit from Static was just too cute not to wear with them! 
It's been a while since the Living Dead Girl came out so much as this, and you might well notice she's trying out some new wounds on her face... I couldn't resist this sliced mouth look in a Suicide Girls Style!

What if I lose you?!

I need to take a little time out, I need to think and you know what, this is always the perfect place for me to do so. I really hope you don't mind, and if you'd rather not be forced to read my ramblings then you can always scroll to the bottom of the post to find out more about my outfit.
The location I sat in to spend some time musing over the thoughts in my head is a delightful little place called Calypso Caffe and it seemed perfect for mulling the thoughts plaguing my brain. I grabbed a RL coffee, parked my pixel butt and now I'm going to divulge my thoughts in my usual rambling fashion.

You might have seen me mention that I am currently very much on edge at the moment as some little child with far too much time on his hands has been making threats to hack my PC and grief me... To be entirely honest, his words don't bother me and it seems more like hot air and attention seeking rather than anything serious, but what bothers me is how it makes me feel at the thought of losing Rudh.
I don't know if you've ever experienced the thought of losing your avatar... I've met a few people that say they wouldn't care if the avatar was destroyed, but for me I know I'd be devastated. They say it's just virtual belongings that you cannot hold and can be replaced, but in my eyes, it's still my personal belongings. I've spent hours, days, weeks, months even years collecting everything, some of the pieces are just because I love them but others are personal and very important. Yet it's not only the personal possessions... I know that the friends I've made would always remain with me, whether I was in world or not, it's more the fact that Rudh is a part of who I am. She has my feelings, emotions, and my voice even... She has been the reason that I have been able to create so many wonderful friendships and lasting memories... She's also been as escape from reality when things were too tough...
I know I'm not the only one to have ever felt this way, and I know I won't be the last one to feel this way either, but for me the thought of losing Rudh is horrible. I hope none of you are ever put at risk like this... Be careful what you are clicking or accepting from people, be careful who you share your details with, and if I disappear from in-world then rest assured I will fight tooth and nail until you see me again... For now, though this Living Dead Dolly ain't goin nowhere!! I hope!
