Hair Fair is now over... This year was a really great one and soon they will be able to tell everyone just how much money was raised on behalf of Wigs for Kids, but it's time to get ready for something new. A new week, a new day and the best way to start a Monday morning is to jump in the shower and sing your little heart out...
I know that the picture seems a little sad, I've been going through a lot lately and I'm sure that I will be able to find the strength to at least give a little insight soon, yet for now I'm going to wash all my troubles away - or as I'm singing "Wash it all away" it provides more meaning at the moment I guess - and start my week with a smile!
This hair is one of my last Hair Fair releases that I want to share with you, now that the event is officially over I'm sure it will be brought to the store but I couldn't resist this adorable style from Argrace. I love the hair that Argrace makes for editorial use, you wouldn't necessarily want to wear this out on the street but in pictures like this it's PERFECT! Plus it was a 100% Donation item to the charity so I really couldn't resist...
Now that the fair is over though I'm going to wash out my hair and let it dry before styling into some other random crazy do! I just wish I'd washed my make up off first, Mascara hurts when it gets into your eyes - Running Mascara by ARISE and Smeared Lipstick by Izzie's by the way - luckily the warm water is washing the sting away leaving glistening droplets on my skin - also courtesy of Izzie's.
For now though it's time that I dry myself off and make myself pretty, the world is calling and I need to go buy catfood LOL...

Hair Fair is all about raising money for the children in need of wigs due to circumstances beyond their control... So I think it's apt that I do something a child would appreciate, just this once! Of course, it has to be Disney related...
I mentioned before that my mother used to read me fantasy stories, but it was my father that actually introduced me to Winnie the Pooh.
I was at a little Gacha event called The Gacha Guardians, where I stumbled across this adorable gacha set by comet, the 100 Acre Wood Gacha that is complete with Pooh, Piglet and if you're very lucky Eeyore!
Now to attract the bees and make some more honey for Pooh, I'm wearing a pretty Sunflower in my hair - a new hair from Wasabi Pills for this year's Hair Fair!!

Summer is here and it's getting a little too hot for me. I'm not ashamed to admit that behind the avatar is a big girl - I'm nothing like Rudh in RL aside from my personality being one and the same - but when it starts heating up, I find myself starting to wither and longing for the colder weather again. Crazy right?
Still in SL I have no problems, and can run around like a headless chicken enjoying the summer 'heat'. I feel lucky in saying that it's awesome to be able to click a button and find yourself on some awesome fun beaches.
Although poor Rudh forgot her sunscreen last time she went to the beach!! Ouch!!
This time she's at the beach she's been a smart girl, she picked up some new Sunblock that she's wearing like a necklace - available from Katat0nik at Summerfest until July 20th - so that she will never be without any! So now, that she's heading to a beach party - this time at the Frisky Beaver Beach Club - she's protected... The sunburn - an applier from Izzie's by the way - still looks a little ouchies though!! Still in her super cute bikini bottoms - that are part of a set called Jasmina from Rebel Hope - and adorable sunglasses - from Suicidal Unborn, she seems more than happy to ignore the sunburn sting and offer you some pineapple - thanks to a pose called Fruity from FOXCITY which is available at SaNaRae until July 18th! OH AND before I forget, isn't her hair SO CUTE!!! It's a style from Wasabi Pills that is currently available from Hair Fair 2017 until July 16th. The hair comes with or without the little braids, so when you buy it you get not just one but two slightly different wigs, AND you help to raise money for Hair Fair's chosen charity - Wigs for Kids.
Right now it's time for some Summer Fun... Although actually while we're on the subject of raising money, and discussing summer fun, I am going to take a moment to say, if you LOVE photography and want the chance to win yourself some lindens, why not enter a summer fun picture into the Gators MC Photo Contest where you could win yourself lots of Lindens - currently around 2,000L$ - which to go back even further into my post would be a great amount to buy LOTS of new Hair and raise money for the charity?! The bad girl has been subdued, it says so in the cards... A gypsy has moved into the gardens around my farm and she brings magic and portents of trouble.
In the setting sun she lures you to her caravan, open to the elements to let them aide her in her reading of your fortunes... I wonder what the future holds for you?
Her wagon is a new release from Violetility - available at The Fantasy Collective - and it makes the perfect place for some outdoor living... Add chairs for comfy seating or as in the case of our gypsy girl use it for your readings with just the bare essentials... Some lights to read by and a Crystal Ball for when the cards aren't enough...
Her skirt is new... OH MY GAH IT'S ALMOST HERE... The hairiest event of the year opens tomorrow - Saturday July 1st 2017 - and it's looking like this year is going to be a really good one...
I was lucky enough to be one of the chosen that was allowed early access, as part of this year's blogging team, and I can honestly say everyone is in for a treat... There's lots for guys not just girls this year, so in support of those little children needing the wigs let's remove our hair, try on some demos and prepare ourselves to get into the event and help more kids, get wigs!
As you can see Rudh was more than a little excited!! There are SO MANY different hair brands spread over the four sims, from some of SL's top hair designers. Each of these designers have at least three brand new exclusives for the event, and many have freebies or cheapies available for the customers. PLUS this year sees the introduction of the Hair Fair Hares each of which are being sold exclusively at the event for a 100% donation to the cause - you can see them in the pictures of my favourite goodies below!
Just a few little tips to help you have an easier time of things at the Hair Fair when it opens tomorrow;
- Remove anything scripted to help reduce lag - no one is looking at you, they only want the hair so who cares what you look like right?
- Take your time, there is no rush and things will reach you eventually... There are also handy redelivery vendors in many of the stores!
- Stores with a floating symbol above them contain Male or Unisex hair - so it's easy for the boys to spot them.
- Remember you can walk around the pathways at the event, it's a continuous loop but beware of sim crossings!
As I mentioned before there are many freebies or cheapies are available in many stores, these are my favourites from each sim...
Please bear in mind though that no LMs will be provided until tomorrow when the event opens...
Good luck getting in and grabbing your hair... While you're there maybe chuck a few extra lindens into the pot and get yourself a Hare!!!

It's almost that time of the year, the time that Hair Designers tend to be at their busiest... Hair Fair 2017 is coming soon to the Second Life grid and preparations are well under way for the hairiest event of the year!
Hair Fair is one of Second Life's older and more eagerly anticipated charity events that every year. The cause is Wigs for Kids... A Charity that raises money and awareness for children that are affected by medical hair loss. I'll be talking more about the charity and the event later on but right now I'm going to share with you one of the many ways that everyone can get involved... There are so many ways to get involved, aside from being a shopper like me of course, and one of those is BANDANAS!
Every year Bandanas are decorated by residents all over SL to be sold at Hair Fair. The Bandanas are only sold at Hair Fair during the event, and, although they may seem inexpensive, ALL money raised from the purchases goes to the Charity.
The more designs that are available, the better so everyone can find something that they love, and so now it's up to us to help the Hair Fair Committee!!! They are asking us to take the opportunity to decorate one or more - if we're really excited by the idea - bandanas, which can be found for sale in the Bandana Booths at the upcoming event. They can be as elaborate or as simple as you like, and I for one always love to look at what people come up with when they are helping with this awesome cause.
