I've seen so many posts on facebook about people losing their people and furbabies recently and maybe due to this, or maybe it´s due to other things, but I keep having this feeling of coming sadness. Like someone I love and call family is going to disappear or worse! I hope that I´m just being over sensitive and empathetic to the people I see sharing their pain, but it has me on edge!
Today´s picture is a representation of that sadness, even though the location is somewhere totally awesome I just felt like it spoke volumes of my mood right now!
I have been in a bit of a downer kinda mood for the past few days, I'm trying to blame it on having a cold but I guess there may be more to it than that... So as I was exploring the awesome setting that is Trick or Treat Lane - it's great both as a pretty sim and a shopping event by the way - I stopped in the Cemetery to say hello to old friends.
I was overcome with a few emotions, but I clearly remember feeling like I was being followed. While I was there I found myself thinking about my old cat, that lived with Mum in RL, and I really had the distinct feeling that I could hear her miaow whispering in the wind as I left the cemetery.
I'd only gone to TOTL to find a fab place to pose in my new TOTL based outfit! An adorable collection from JACKALOPE, a collection involving the Tabitha Sweatshirts, Fringe Shorts and the awesome Bat Tights!

I'm not normally someone that gets into this holiday, I will totally admit that for me it's just like any other ordinary day, but it seems like the rest of the world goes crazy for it! Second Life is over run with lucky clovers and Guinness, and I'm guessing it's more to do with Irish descendants than the Irish themselves... There cannot be that many Irish people in SL?! Or can there??!!!
Anyway I've said I don't normally get into this holiday, yet here I am posing like a crazy drunk person while standing in Dublin looking a little like a leprechaun threw up all over me... and I enjoyed it too...
Although it's not entirely my own fault... I have a bit of a store crush on a place called JACKALOPE... I've mentioned it here before countless times, and this time in particular, they were not only having a sale, but a hunt too... I couldn't stop myself!! This Louise Tee and Fishnet Combo is one of the hunt prizes that is available until March 20th!
The rest of the outfit wouldn't have worked without a little mean green... Some white shorts - which I fully admit I recoloured myself but LOVE them just for that reason lol - and LOTS of clovers... Now all I need to finish is a pint of Guinness...

I slept really badly, and as a result I'm feeling rubbish this morning. No amount of coffee seems to be able to wake me up and I just feel like hiding all day - maybe that is what I will do LOL... Nightmares leave me feeling shaken up all day and not a very happy person, and right now I'm in run and hide mode... Either that or revert back to my childlike ways hehe...
I reach out to my blog in an attempt to talk things through and feel better, but for some reason even this isn't working, so maybe a distraction technique... How about a Look-of-the-Day?!
This is one of those somewhat kid-like but grown up versions of kid-like outfits, that started with a simple but awesome top.
I found the Prue Crop Top a this month's round of anyBody from one of my favourite stores, JACKALOPE! They had a variety of colours, with and without patterns, but seriously how could anyone resist "Oh for fox sake!" I then added just a little more foxiness in the form of this adorable Peaches plushie from The Stars That Laugh Gacha Collection - available until April 30th at Gacha Guardians just so you know - and dressed accordingly adorably!!
That was all it took, well that and a magical location like one of the sets at WHOLE WHEAT and voilà, look-of-the-day and a somewhat more relaxed Rudh!

We all have the power to make different choices in life... Nothing is ever simple as it seems in the Disney Movies!
For me I've always been someone who simply cannot take too many risks as I have a massive tendency to over-think everything. I can roll an idea around and around in my head, looking at it from every angle and more often than not, focusing on the negatives.
I wish life was so simple as the fairytales... Sure sometimes things were tough but at the end it was all sparkles and sunshine. It seems in RL that when you start to rise, you always get knocked back down again at some stage.
Wouldn't it be nice if life was so simple as Cinderella makes it out to be... When life is tough just believe in magic and slip on a shoe?!
Rudh tried it... Although slipping into a pair of gorgeous sparkly heels - like these Glitterati Heels from Reign - makes her feel good, there's no magical transformation, she's still Rudh that over-thinks and doesn't have a handsome prince... OK I still have HellBone and he's not bad on the eyes lol, but he's not really a Viking is he?! LOL...
She's sitting in her chicken coop - complete with her new friendly Chicken Companion from Jian - in a regal JACKALOPE chair trying on shoes, dreaming that a sexy Viking will come and whisk her off her feet. Thinking about it now though, maybe if she's being kidnapped by a Viking she's better off in her dungarees and DMs. Might get a little muddy in Viking territory!

There's magic in the air... Another round of Enchantment opens it's fairytale doors today, and I'm very excited as per usual. This is definitely one of my favourite events and each and every time it is announced I get like an overly excited child...
This time the Enchanted Team are this time telling the story of a magical transformation, a story of being plucked from obscurity while allowing hopes and dreams to become a reality, and proving that anyone could become a princess if they really wanted to... The fairytale this time is that of Cinderella!
I LOVE the story of Cinderella, but mostly - like normal - it's the Disney version that always going to make me smile most.
The witching hour is far away, but Cinderella's Fairy God Mother just waved her magic wand... Quick peep through the door of Lady Tremaine's House and take a peep before she climbs into the pumpkin coach and rides off to the ball...
Her dress is a special creation from Petite Mort for the event, and the "Ella" dress comes in a selection of colours with that Cinderella twist. My Cinderella look was enhanced by a magical tiara from Swallow. Wrapped in a soft warm cape, borrowed from the Fairy God Mother - bought at JACKALOPE - this princess isn't wearing glass slippers but has princess heels on all the same, and she's about to climb into her Carriage - an amazing pose prop from Fashiowl Poses ...
Let's hope she meets a handsome prince in time for Valentine's Day!

February 1st, the month that is supposed to be all about romance, but I am so not into that. Hell and I have for the last few years given each other a card but no really big gestures as he shows he loves me every day. Sometimes it's hard to see but I know it's there, usually!
So Valentines Stuff aside - as I know I'm likely to do something about it later - I am more excited for something that is coming later in the month... FINALLY I am going to be able to take some time off and go to visit my family in the UK. My countdown is running and 23 days from now I will be in bonny ol' England!
I miss being in the UK a lot, and homesickness is a very big problem for me. It's not that I'm patriotic, and I do talk to my family all the time, but I just miss the little things - wandering through the British shopping malls, curling up under a blanket and watching crappy TV with mum, or even going to the supermarket, I miss hearing British voices on the streets and although it sounds lame I get excited any time I see a British number plate on a car in Holland LOL...
So today, as I start my countdown I am going to overload you with a little Britishness and a bit of the Brit Punk nature too - maybe that's just my outfit?!
I love this Sofa - it's a London Gacha Item from Boudoir, but I wanted it as soon as I saw it not really giving a monkies that this was the rare and going to be harder to get. It's perfect for you and a friend, although in my case that friend is a Poindexter from BoOgErs, but he and I are still going to bask in the glow of the neon lights - from GOOSE - and watch the London City Skyline - decor from free bird!
My London Look - as Maybelline says "get the London Look" - is actually an adorable pair of separates from JACKALOPE, which is becoming a new addiction store of mine I feel. I believe in love at first sight, I really do. Sometimes it happens with people and animals, but there have been MANY times in my life that I have fallen in love with things that I need to own. When I was younger it was toys, then handbags, but that is RL. In SL it's clothes that tend to get my love at first sight senses tingling. I'm not superficial, I'm not the kind of girl that needs material things, and SL has provided me with a RL Love at first sight in the form of my ever suffering HellBone, but now that I have him it's clothes, clothes and more clothes! OH and don't forget shoes, hair and jewellery too LOL...

The JACKALOPE Siren Dress was my love at first sight item... I liked it as soon as I saw it posted on Flickr and then when I saw a gif that showed the water lighting textures moving... Well that was it, I HAD to have it. It's available at The Secret Affair until tomorrow - January 29th.
